“Welcome to MoreSidemen, where the Sidemen, talk badly, about other youtubers” Simon says as the others cheer jokingly.

You giggle quietly while watching the video, leaning back into your boyfriend’s arms. Harry said you were one of the people they ranked and asked if you wanted to watch it with him. And, of course, you agreed because who wouldn’t. You watch Harry as he gets up from the couch to go get a snack.

"You look good in this video by the way," you complemented him as your eyes wandered back to the screen. "I reckon I look good in every video, don't know what you mean..." He remarked. You rolled your eyes and playfully shoved him when he sat back down next to you only to be grabed by the waist and pulled closer to him.

"They are our friends, so don't take any of these seriously," Simon continues with a disclaimer, knowing how the internet would react if he didn't. "Maybe not for much longer if I get ranked last for any of the nice ones." You say, half-accusingly glaring at Harry. He puts on a guilty look and shrugs.

"Which Youtuber would you most want backing you up in a fight, we have seven people." The said seven people then popped up at the bottom of the screen. It was you, Deji, Theo Baker, Callux, Danny Aarons, Randolph, and Calfreezy. “Oh shit, it’s my girlfriend oh no,” Harry says, putting his hands in his face. The guys laugh at him and Vik says, “someone’s sleeping in the dog house tonight.” "Bro you better watch what you say."

"Who'd you want most", "Well Deji has got to be number one", "Yea Deji number one," they say in agreement. "Hey! What about me," you say, turning around to pretend to punch Harry. He ducks out of the way and says, "Come on Y/N, he's literally a professional boxer". "Yeah well...I can throw a punch too." You grumble, turning back around to face the television.

"...Theo's up there because he's pretty w..." You hear your boyfriend say in the video. "I could take him down," you mutter. "I know you could okay Y/N," he says as he kisses the top of your head. The guys continue discussing their rankings, not once mentioning you at all. "Okay now hold on a sec, because I personally think Y/N could pack a punch you know, I feel like she's got the temper enough to take a bitch down." Simon reasons with the group.

"Remind me to give Simon a big hug the next time we see him." You say gleefully, happy someone finally recognized your strength. "Yeah, I agree. I think she has the ride-or-die kind of mindset because she will fight for you and what-not, god I love her." Harry says. You look up lovingly at him and kiss his cheek.

"So we're going Deji, Theo, Danny, Lux, Y/N, Freezy, Randy," they say as they list out their rankings. "Are we sure about Freezy and Randy?" Tobi asks, to which Harry responds, "Y/N loves getting into fights so yeah..." You glare at Harry, unsure if it was a compliment or not. "You know she's actually mad strong. The other time she accidentally turned around and elbowed my stomach and it had a huge bruise for a week," Josh added. "Does that mean you're just weak then?" Simon says. The lads just laughed and before Josh even tried to defend himself, Simon already started talking about the fan's rankings.

"Randy's third? And Danny's six?" Simon says in disbelief. "No way I think Randy and Danny swap," Harry says, he looks down the lists and sees you've been ranked at sixth. "Wait no way they voted Y/N as last. Guys have you seen her during our challenges, she would take a bitch down," Harry continues. You thanked him for 'defending your honor' and gave him a big smooch on the lips.

They continued to disagree with the fan rankings, but you honestly couldn't care less anymore. Knowing that your boyfriend thought you were tough and could hold your own was enough for you. You begin to dose off as the video continues playing, hearing Harry chuckle every now and then when his friends make a joke, as he combs your hair unconsciously.

However, one of the questions you hear as you fall asleep catches your attention. "Which youtuber is the most attractive?" You sit up, curious about what would be their rankings. The rest of boys in the video look at Harry, thinking that he would instantly say his girlfriend, but boy were they wrong. "Number one Callux," Harry says immediately. You both burst out laughing as he continues to try and correct himself, in the video, realising his girlfriend was also in the list. You pretended to act offended as Harry 'apologises profusely', peppering kisses all around your face. You couldn't help but giggle at your boyfriend's adorableness.

Laying back down in your boyfriend's arms as he wraps them tightly around you, with the video playing in the background, you look up at Harry, wondering how did you get so lucky and how much you love your life.

A month ago... "Rach!" I shouted through my apartment. "Ye?" my roommate Rachel shouted before appearing in my doorway. "Do you know who the sidemen are?" I asked her. "Yes, they're massive on YouTube, why?" She replied plonking herself next to me on the bed. "They just asked me to be in one of their videos." She shot upright "what! Did you say yes?" She asked excitedly. "Umm, I haven't replied yet, are they weirdo's?" I asked since she knew of them. She laughed aloud "no I don't think so." she said with a giggle. "It says they want me to film a "twenty versus one", what's that?" I said flipping my phone around to show her the email. "That's a series, they do, let me just show you." she grabbed the control and flipped on my tv.

That night I went through a rabbit hole, researching these people. I wanted to make sure they weren't creeps before agreeing to be in a their video. They had a pretty massive following and there videos were entertaining. I eventually decided it'd be fun so agreed to be in the video. When I told Rach she was ridiculously excited.

Today is the day of the shoot. All I'd been given was a location and a time, so I got up early to get ready. I took a shower, dried and straightened my hair, did my makeup (adding extra powder so I wouldn't shine in the studio lights) then got dressed into a black, tight play suit, an oversized denim jacket and some black four inch heeled boots. Once I was finished I sprayed myself with my favourite perfume, grabbed my bag and left my apartment.

After a 30 minute drive my uber finally pulled up outside the filming location which just looked like a large building. I thanked him and slid out of the car. Just as I was walking towards the front entrance I was greeted by a woman who said her name was Tanya and that she was the head of production. "She seems nice" I thought as she led me inside. She brought me to a green room with multiple other women, and a table with drinks and food. I sat down on one of the chairs. "wait, are you y/n y/l/n?!" One of the girls asked me. I nodded "yep, that's me." I replied with a light smile. "Omg I love your vlogs!" She announced excitedly. "Thank you!" I said appreciatively.

Almost 20 minutes later all twenty of us were taken through into a small hallway, and formed into a queue. I was sixth and when it was my turn I walked out and stood on the marked spot on the white floor. "Hi, how are you?" I asked who I learned from my stalking was Harry. "Not great to be honest." he replied, clearly not enjoying this shoot. I laughed slightly "just breathe." I said breathing deeply in and out. He copied my actions and did the same. He smiled "yes." he said, flicking his hand towards the door then I heard a cheer from another room. "Thank you." I said politely and walked off the set.

Ten minutes later everyone was sent back into the room and we all stood in an oval shape facing the camera. Then Harry walked in and greeted us "hello everyone, I said yes to way too many people so if you don't like me please- leave." he chuckled then turned around to face the camera. Five people left leaving nine of us. Harry opened his eyes and turned back around "I'll take that, I'll take that, I'll take that, I'll take that," he repeated quickly "thank you very much. alright, I'll see you shortly, I guess." Then he left and all of us were taken back to the green room.

I sat there for well over two hours waiting, since I was the last one. Once it was finally my turn, I was taken back to the studio, by Tanya. "You'll do great!" she said with a light pat on my back just before I entered the room. I was reattached to a mic and then told to sit down on the comfy looking chair. Harry entered a few minutes later and I stood up to greet him with a hug. "Hello again, sorry you've been waiting so long." he said politely, before sitting down. I smiled "no problem." He took a breath in "so what's your name?" "y/n." I replied. "And what do you do?" He asked. "For fuck sake I hate this question" I thought. "I do YouTube." I replied. His eyes lit up slightly "oh, what kind of videos do you make?" He asked, sitting forward in his chair. "Vlogs, beauty stuff, outfits, that kind of thing." I said counting them on my fingers. "Oh cool." he said with a nod of his head.

The date lasted just under 15 minutes. From the video Rach showed me it seemed that these weren't just normal dates but it felt completely normal to me... actually in the other video there was one date where the man was just told to be himself, so maybe that was what was happening. We talked about what both of our favourite movies were, we found out we both lived in London and when I asked if he was into football he explained that that was what his YouTube channel was based off, along with an online game to do with football.

Once the date finished, we hugged goodbye and he left. Then I was asked two questions by the main camera man: what I thought about him and if I would go on another date. "I thought he was a really sweet and seemed interested in our convo. I will definitely go on another date with him." and as I said those words, I heard in eruption of cheers in another room, which Tanya had now explained was the other members of the sidemen watching the dates. I laughed slightly then stood up. I quickly had my mic taken off, then went to collect my things from the green room. As I was grabbing my things Tanya popped back into the room to ask me something, "the boys were just wondering if you could come and see them so they could thank you for coming." she asked. I smiled "of course."

She took me through a corridor, and then down a smaller hallway and into a room. There was a group of boys stood up in front of around six TVs that I assumed they had been watching the dates on. "Hey, nice to meet you, thanks for coming!" who I knew to be JJ said putting his hand out for a handshake. I shook his hand and said "thank you for having me." They all introduced themselves to me and we stood talking for a few minutes. Just before I left I heard my name "y/n!" I turned around to see Harry stood in front of me "I was just wondering... if it was okay with you, I could get your number?" he asked. I smiled "sure." He passed me his phone I typed my phone number in. "there." I said, passing his phone back to him. "thank you." he said with a sheepish smile. I waved the other boys goodbye before I left the building.

The next day, I got a text from Harry asking if he could take me out on a "second" date, and obviously I said yes.

He laughed. You loved his laugh. It was so distinct and rather loud but you knew it was truly him. All the boys were laughing as well. As well as the entire crowd.

You stood further away with your headset on and adjusting certain things like camera angles and sound intensity. “Next up we’d like to welcome the legend himself, Stephen Tries!” Tobi announced as the crowd cheered. Stephen walked on stage with a smug look on his face and many of the boys heads were already in their hands. He rambled on about the usual, much like everyone else until you heard your name. “KSI has had many things put against him: Tommy Fury, bad hairline genetics but soon a restraining order. Filed by Y/n ‘cause you won’t leave the poor girl alone.” Stephen blatantly said, his eyes rummaging through the crowd to pick you out same goes for nearly everyone. You just laughed, every other option seemed to awkward. JJ tried to avoid eye contact but his eyes eventually finding yours and giving you sympathetic eyes but also with a slight smile.

“Seriously, stop. It creeps us all out.”

He then carried on with the rest of his segment, and you carried on with your job. It did take you back though because you had never noticed JJ acting weird around you but then you were that caught up in your own feelings about him.

Once the roast had ended the boys got off stage and started talking with the all their friends in the audience. JJ and Simon walked down together as JJ’s eyes were glued to you making sure the joke didn’t get to you. “Mate! Did you not hear what Stephen joked about?” Ethan laughed at JJ and his mindless staring. “Nah, I’m just making sure she’s alright!” He exclaimed as he watched you pack cameras away. “Yeah right. At this point just marry the girl.” Ethan bickered as him and Simon walked away laughing to one another. JJ did want to talk to you but the crew were so caught up in packing the set away to get it all ready for another sidemen shoot the following day he couldn’t find a second you weren’t already occupied.

The next day at the sidemen shoot all the boys were gathered waiting to get the go ahead to start filming. “JJ did you tell y/n you love her yet?” Josh spoke to the man who was speaking with Kon. JJ rolled his eyes and looked at Kon who had been smirking. “Guys! Leave me alone!” He laughed, averting his gaze to the beautiful girl he seen standing beside a set piece. You noticed JJ looking and gave him a big smile. He instantly lightened up.

Once the shoot was over and JJ had endured many comments. Everyone headed home. JJ approached you, holding two drinks. “Here.” He handed you the drink in his hand. “Thank you JJ!” You thanked him, taking a sip of the drink. “Here I’ll help you.” He added as he lifted some of the equipment you needed to put in your car and you returned it with a smile. I just got back from meeting a boy, something I didn’t usually do, but I’d been talking to Harry as I met him online for a while now and we just met up.

Harry was a YouTuber, part of a big YouTube group with the money and looks to get him through life like a breeze.

I frown as I bend down to tie my laces, feeling Harry’s eyes on me.

I look up at him and stand back up, leaving the house.

“This is- awkward.” He says as we get a little away from my house.

I nod and scratch my head.

“What now? Do- we.. keep.. seeing-“ he stops me.

“Only if you want to- I don’t want any tension- between us- or our parents.” He says.

I look up at him and smile.

“I- like you.. a lot I- don’t want to stop seeing you..” I say hesitantly as he smiles.

“I like you a lot too.. I want us to keep being a thing.. but- uhm- I don’t think we can- tell our parents..” he says and I nod.

I smile and take his hand.

We hold hands as we walk.

I lean closer to him as we walk around the area in silence.

When we arrived back we let go of each others hands and sit on the main sofa, Rosie and Tommy were in his room playing Minecraft and our parents were laughing over wine in the kitchen.

"Y/N stop being lazy and serve that customer." My manager snickered as I sighed.

I had been on my shift for almost 6 hours now and the loud music and the constant orders had taken a toll on me. Adding to that my manager never seemed to get the idea of a break so I had to stand at the bar and serve drinks the entire shift no matter how I felt.

I hated this job and I had gotten it only because I wanted some extra money for college and I was waiting for the right time to quit and search for a new job. I wouldn't say this job was a complete shitshow because I found my soulmate here.

JJ Olatunji, my boyfriend who I met when I was bartending here about 3 years ago. We hit it off immediately and even managed to hook up during my shift which angered the manager so much that he didn't pay me for the week. Amazing sex though so I didn't mind.

Me and JJ have been together for more than two and a half years now and things were looking amazing. As I walked out I saw JJ stood near the door with a bright smile on his face , instantly making me feel better.

"I'm so proud of you." He said giving me a much needed hug before leading me out towards his car.

"It was a long time coming , I need to concentrate on college anyways." I said as we both got in the car.

"Don't worry about finding another job babe , me and Simon will teach you everything about YouTube tomorrow and I'm sure with your amazing personality you'll soon find your audience." He said taking my hand in his.

"Thanks Jide ." I said before kissing his knuckles.

"Also can I say something else...." He said with a smirk.

I sign as I look up and the tall building in front of me

Finally moving to the big city of London

My best friend finally convinced me with his rambling that this would be the best place to get a job and move to

I’ve known Calfreezy for the longest time and we have been friends ever since we met

So fresh out of university, I decided to make the leap and move to London, not just so I could spend time with my best friend but to broaden my horizons

I contacted some companies, showed them portfolio and managed to get a internship with a big name company

I knew that I would need somewhere to live and I couldn’t think of anywhere better than the same building that Freezy had done nothing but bang on about since he moved in

Today was my moving in day and Freezy has no idea that I’m about to become his new neighbour

I take a deep breath as I walk into the grand building stood in front of me

I drag my suitcase behind me, whilst holding a box under my arm

I internally groan at the thought of having to go back to my car and grab some more boxes and carry them up to my flat

“It’s ok, don’t worry! No harm done” I say before picking up the rest of the things and putting them back in the box

“I’m guessing by the box and suitcase, that you are moving in?” Tobi says gesturing towards my bag and box

“Yeah, I am a photograhy intern and I needed a place to live, so here I am! I’m Y/N by the way” I explain with a smile

“My best friend lives in this building and banged on about how amazing it is to live here, so I thought that i would surprise him” I continue to explain

“Nice to meet you Y/N, I’m Tobi! Who is your best friend? Maybe I know him” He says

“Callum Airey, sorry you probably know him as Calfreezy” I say correcting myself

“Ahhhh yes, I know Freezy! I’m assuming that I’m you know Freezy then you will know who I am” Tobi says

I laugh at the statement

“Alright big head, yes I do know who you and the Sidemen are, I just didn’t want to seem like some kind of fan girl because after spending time with Freezy in public, I know what they can be like” I explain to him

Tobi nods

“Yes fangirls are lovely but It’s nice to not have people crowding you or in the older days screaming in you face” He says

I get what he means, when Freezy started to get big and the fangirls used to crowd us and could be all levels of crazy in public but just like the boys have, the fans are growing up with them and have mellowed slightly

I mean they aren’t like directioners but still they are fans non the less

“So I was actually down here just getting my post, but now I’m wondering if you wanted any help with your stuff?” Tobi asks

With a smug smile on my face, I say

“Well I think that is the least that you could do, considering my stuff was all over the floor after you bumped into me”

Tobi smirks back at me

“No the least I could do, would be for me to take you to dinner to welcome you to the building and the least you could do for me would be to allow me to see you in some of this underwear that I so kindly helped you pick up” he says

I let out a laugh

“Alright, I’ll let you take me out, but we will have to see about the underwear” I say as I hand him the box before making my way to the lifts

“Yeah, I guess we will” he mumbles as he follows me to the lift

I can see that me and Tobi are going to get on really well
