Harper presses her lips into a line, nods.

“Our stork dropped a name and a settlement, and left Sonya in plain sight. Not only in plain sight, but in plain sight of a bunch of detectives, who wouldn’t ignore her. They could just as well have thrown her to the hounds over the Wall. I don’t think they meant any harm, even if they weren’t Sonya’s mother. So what did they mean?”

Do asha and jai ‘s kids have powers

Short answer—Asha doesn’t, the dolls have them essentially since birth, Luke’s develop when he’s a teenager.

Long answer—

Dolls have full powers basically since Birth

Asha doesn’t have the superspeed, she does have an accelerated healing factor (not to her Mama’s level, but better than her Baba’s) and her mental processing is definitely to speedster levels. So technically no powers, but she has some other benefits. Oh and her Mama’s overactive metabolism

With Luke, everyone figured he didn’t have powers like his sisters, which he was never made to feel bad about. Jai might have spent time training his sisters, but he got more one on one time with his mom. Then when he’s about 16, his best friend, Skylar, is kidnapped (her family is insanely rich so it was a ransom situation). They pushed her off a building and something activated in him. He’s had crush on Skylar since they were little, and they’ve been completely inseparable, Jai thinks it’s because she’s his lightning rod. So he eventually develops powers

Lay it on me, what are the powers/skill sets of the next gen kids? Who is the best at hand to hand combat?

I will do Omega kids in age order

Charlie Kent is an illusionist, whose powers evolve into reality manipulation. Think a less tragic Ace. She can fight (self defense) but prefers not to. She is not a hero.

Asha West-Wayne does not have any physical powers, but they suspect mentally she processes things at the speedster level. She is a fighter and, of her cousins in this group, is the best at hand to hand.

Peter Kent is a teleporter. He generally has to know the place, and as he gets older, he can go farther distances. Similar to his older sister, he can fight but prefers not to. Damian did teach him sword fighting because he asked.

Ben Wilkes does not have powers, does boxing so he can hold his own in a fight, does not want to be a hero.

M&M Kent is a technopath, able to control and communicate with technology. She is a hero and is a pretty good fighter!

Lily, Milly, and Luke West (I’ll put them all together) are all speedsters, BUT Luke’s powers were dormant until he was a teenager. In comparison, his sisters have had their powers since birth. They all have also trained with their mother and maternal grandparents with weapons and hand to hand. So some of the best but Ashie has them beat.

Maxie Wilkes does not have powers (to his father’s absolute relief), but does become the host to a scarab. He’s not the best at Hand to hand, but fights like his parents.

Laney Kent, despite being Tamaranean and Kryptonian, is actually born without either of her parents’ powers. That is until she’s 13. When the Omega families are talking about weaknesses; someone brought out blue kryptonite (the kind that takes Supers powers) to show the kids. Laney happened to sneeze, and a starbolt exploded. Just like her mother. When she is exposed to MOST Kryptonites, she experiences the opposite effects. Except Green. It hurts her worse. She’s also a menace at hand to hand

Hes not totally sure what he’s building, but he’s pretty sure it won’t burn the garage down. Soldering a metal piece into place, he hears the house door open.

“Yes, my beautiful wife?”

He hears her scoff without turning away from his project, “Cheeseball. What are you working on?”

“Well, I haven’t figured that out yet.” Jai laughs, “Why?”

“Your daughters want to ask you something.”

Almost instantly Jai’s on his feet, How is it she’s gotten more beautiful since they started dating? Balancing their 18-month-old son on her hip, she shakes her head, smiling, “They’ve got you wrapped around their fingers, huh, babe?”

“Them and this little guy.” Jai agrees, tickling Luke. The toddler squeals and tries to push his daddy away. Following his wife into the living room, he’s shocked to see their 3-year-old twins dressed up so nicely. “Why, Mommy! Who are these beautiful girls?”

“It me, Miwwy, Dadee.” The younger twin chirps as he kneels in front of them.

“So it is, Millypede. You and Lilypad look so beautiful!”

“Dere a reason, Dadee!” The older twin puffs her chest up. Yep. Definitely Lian’s daughter. They disappear momentarily before returning with a bouquets of sunflowers. “Dis for you!”

“Oh, girls!” Jai takes the flowers, glancing at Lian. She knows something, he can tell, but she’s not going to let him know. “Thank you! These are my favorites!”

Holy shit. How the hell did he get two baby girls like them? Holding back tears, Jai nods, “Yes, dolls, I’ll be your Valentine’s Day date. Give me some time to shower and change, okay?”

“Yeah! You tinky!” The girls disappear upstairs in mini cracks of lightning. Jai stands and looks at his wife, tears in his eyes.

“They asked me last week if they could have you for Valentine’s Day.” Lian says. She wipes her husband’s cheeks with her thumb, “They’re taking you to a pho restaurant and ice cream, I gave them money for everything, let them spoil you.”

“…I don’t deserve you…any of you…”

Shaking her head, Lian looks at Luke, “Padawan, Daddy doesn’t think he deserves Mommy or you or your sisters. What do you say?”

The little boy blinks at his mother, then points at Jai, “Mah dada.”

“Yes, that is your daddy. You love him?”

Lian turns back to her husband, “The child has spoken. You deserve us and you’re stuck with us. Now go get cleaned up for your daughters! Padawan here and me have a hot date of our own. Snuggles, movies, and milk a la tit.”

Bart for sure knows he’s attractive, in the chaotic Pan way which Jaime loves. Jaime knows people think he’s hot but he doesn’t always agree.

Donny and Mel are both on this side for different reasons. Donny has some scars, not a lot but a few, that make it hard for him to feel attractive. Plus before Mel he was dating only civilians (who he had to hide his powers from) and that made him insecure with other things. Mel has a lot of body image issues thanks to her father, most of which she works through with a therapist.

Next gen people:

Finn, Sawyer, and Kat most definitely know they’re hot, which they attest to their grandparents 😂 they grew up with Luca and Matt teaching them that being attractive is personality more than looks. They just happen to have both.

The baby dolls and Luke know…but that doesn’t stop the girls from bickering over who’s the prettier twin…even though they’re identical.

Ziva is too busy running science experiments to care. People have told her and her response is usually “and?”

Roro and Aza grew up with their mothers teaching them ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder.’ They both know they’re attractive, but Azalea doesn’t have the confidence to try a whole lot of out their looks. Roro, again, doesn’t care…unless you’re an asshole in which case she’ll make it her mission to make your day miserable.

Asha definitely knows and, like the Best boy kids, says she had great genes.

Ben and Max grew up with Milagro teaching them how to feel confident in themselves, to celebrate their individual looks, and to dress like themselves, whoever that is at the moment. Ben also grew up with family telling him he has the most beautiful eyes (hetero chromia). Max definitely likes his clothing style more.

The Kent kids are interesting—

Charlie has a lot of burn scars on her back from Cadmus, which she hates letting people see even family. For her to let the scar show around people is a big trust thing.

Peter knows he’s attractive in the artistic sense, like the Davinci model thing, but he has a lot of issue with his body because of past trauma.

M&M has a scar on her sternum from heart surgery she had as a kid (who wants those headcannons?), but isn’t insecure about it. It’s a part of her story and she is better than ever.

Laney knows she’s attractive, thank you genes, but the issue lies with her overall relationship with her body. She is still affected by Kryptonite even though she doesn’t have Jon or Mar’i’s powers.
