Finally doing part 2 of this post, continuing with posting about the bonus pages from volume 2

The first bonus comic starts out with an exclamation of "There's a bomb in the cake box!" as the box is thrown away. "What are you doing?!"

A man shouts "I can bake as many cakes as I want. Every day. At YOUR shop! I've always loved you, ever since we were young!"

"I went out with Hibiki to watch a high octane action flick, but to think there's a scene with the childhood best friend confessing with an explosion in the background. How is Hibiki's reaction...?"

So she glances over and--

"She's CRYING?!"

"Could it be she relates to it somehow?! Is she moved by it...no, despair?! So a childhood friend suddenly confessing isn't good?! Huh? Huh?! What exactly is she feeling? What sort of tears are those?!"

(After the movie)

Hibiki: "So when the cake that he worked so hard on blew up, it felt like such a waste and I just burst into tears!"

Miku: "That's right...that's the kind of girl Hibiki is and I also love that about her!"

The second one starts out with Vanessa narrating about how her and the others were reborn from the light that burst forth from Yggdrasil, probably on a whim of Shem-Ha's. But as monsters who've committed so much evil, she can't possibly live in the light of the sun...

So she says she'll be one of those "high income members of the service industry that rule the city's night life" and provide for her family

She ends up using the gadgets in her body for various things like opening wine or lighting cigars and freaks everyone out, making her feel more and more like a monster who can't live among humans

A customer gets too touchy-feely and...

She ends up getting everyone caught in the explosion and gets fired

But she comes home to Elsa and Millaarc who have made sukiyaki for her

Millaarc says her manager increased her quota again, but at least gave her a raise, so she bought some meat

The last page is a bit of art showing Vanessa working as a high speed labeling machine for a side job

Millaarc Cranstoun sees another path her life could have taken.

Millaarc had her speech all planned out for when Tsubasa finally caught up with her. With that brilliant, beautiful blue blade at her throat, all she could do was grin and bare her fangs. “One last concert-goer’s blood on your hands, right, Tsubasa? I mean, technically, I was, wasn’t I? And what’s one more corpse to throw on the pile?” She expected the look of revulsion marring Tsubasa’s perfect pop-star face; the disgust, humiliation, and rage. And she got them—she got them in spades, the curl of her lip, the wrinkle of her nose, but the hatred in her eyes was missing. She hit her with a full-force Stained Glance, more than enough to fuck her brain six ways from Sunday—maybe this time she’d make her see all her Symphogear pals with her face and force them to defend themselves as she tried to cut them to ribbons. Nothing. But how could it do nothing? And why were the brows of the world’s greatest pop singer furrowed in confusion, like she didn’t have a clue what the hell she was talking about? “Who are you?” she gasped. “Hey, Basa! What’s goin’ on over there? Ya need help?” Millaarc’s sharp ears perked up. She could swear that voice ringing out was familiar. As Tsubasa took a step back and lowered her sword, still wearing that dumbstruck look, two of her pals raced to her side. One was Chris Yukine, and the other— Who was that girl beside her, the one with the chain whip striking the ridiculous pose? Tsubasa swallowed a lump in her throat. “Cranstoun… can you explain this?” she asked, sparing a sideways glance at the two of them. Chris looked to her partner. “Hey, Carrie, what the fuck?” The same question was running through Millaarc’s mind—who was this girl, and why did she look just like her?

I think they'd all be different flavors of depression, I mean they kinda are in the show itself I jus brought it to the forefront here-

for the design tidbits, they're all allusions to their monster origins; Elsa gets a Red Riding Hood cloak, Vanessa gets a bigger hairdo for allusions to the Bride of Frankenstein, and Millaarc gets, super sad (I'll be honest I kinda blanked out on Milly sorry queen)

oh also they all have white hair streaks like Elsa because it means they share a design element :]

incredibly important development is making Millaarc a super neet, she's literally me fr fr

also yeah Milly is the vessel for the super sad depression experience because, I don't think she'd hold up well after the things she did in XV-
