Rebecca Horn (b. 1944, Germany – 2024)

Rebecca Horn is a visual artist, who came to international prominence in the 1980s and is best known for her installation art, film directing, and body modifications projects. Horn is considered to be one of the most influential artists of the Kinetic Art movement.

From an early age Horn developed a virtual obsession with drawing, using it as a medium of communication that she viewed as much less limiting than the spoken word. Horn’s work can be found today in many museum collections around the globe, including The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and the Tate Gallery in London.

Non s’immagina uno storico dei nostri tempi, Johan Huizinga per esempio, che legge il suo Autunno del Medio Evo alle olimpiadi di Anversa, o di Berlino, o di Los Angeles, e ottiene altrettanto successo. Perché quello che era possibile 'allora’, ora non è possibile?

find a blorbo!: a tag game for the new NHL season

in an effort to... 1) familiarize myself with the new rosters of each NHL team and 2) mayhaps work on being less of a hater, I've come up with a little game for all us hockeyblr folks to play since there's about a week left until the new season starts.

RULES: Go through the roster of each NHL team and find at least one player that you can root for.

Below, Pixie’s was allllll the rage.

And for the last hour, Karen had raged too! Why not, eh? It was the pre-game to the year’s most epic party yet– one happening hundreds of kilometres away from Swynlake’s festive Halloween funtimes. Karen had turned up in full costume and bought a round of drinks for most of their fellow MAFIA members. After downing a shot of tequila and then dancing to several remixes of Spooky Scary Skeletons, their watch had vibrated.

Five minutes till 11 p.m. 

Which meant it was time for the real party to kick off. 

Karen slipped from Pixie’s dance floor. On the way up to the VIP lounge, they’d seen several mates, said hey, exchanged a few hugs and a pat on the shoulder. But they didn’t stop long enough to proper chat. They were the first to arrive at the VIP Lounge. Well, besides Tink, who let them in.

They started to peel off their Halloween costume. “Man, Pixie’s is killer tonight!” they said cheerfully. “Hopefully we can make quick work of this so we can be back for the big Midnight Monster Mash.”

They slipped on their Voyd mask.
