I appreciate Sally stepping in. Sonic arbitrarily being rude to Knuckles for the sake of a cool fight is meh, so I'm happy for them to interrupt it.

I also find it a bit odd how Knuckles seems to venerate Sally. Is there something I'm forgetting? Am I misinterpreting his gasp and misreading the lettering as emphasis?

So Knuckles' dad, from the Forbidden Zone, has been aiding him- including sending Enerjak into space with rockets (??? how will that stop him?). I'm excited to see more of him, and learn more about the surviving echidnas.

Whatever the case, that's a sweet conclusion.
