I wouldn't normally reblog this stuff due to gore (it's a fake dummy tho as the film is showing its age) but this movie was the inspiration for Europe's song Seven Doors Hotel from their 1983 self titled debut album. I added three versions of it. Both album versions from original vinyl pressings to later pressings and CD versions and the 1985 re-recording which was the B-Side of the Rock The Night single. Those first two Europe albums are some of their best back when they were Metal.

This song was left off the album as it’s a heavier song that sounds more in line with the band’s earlier albums before The Final Countdown. It shows that the band hadn’t quite let go of the heavier sound of their roots. A killer track that doesn’t get as much attention as the A-side of the single and the album. Was lucky to hear it live back in 2023 when Europe toured for their 40th Anniversary Time Capsule Tour. It hadn’t been played live since 1987 and I never thought it would be heard live again this time with John Norum and not Kee Marcello back in 1987.
