Agent 3, Mi-Rae, has to go from Inkopolis to the territory of Black Rock, as they are currently working on a weapon with the Octarians. Cap'n Cuttlefish is somehow aware of it, deciding to alert them.

As Mi-Rae progresses through the mountain, they're in an Octarian disguise. (bro thinks they're geumsaegi 💀)

Interacting with Mulmangcho and Scout Commander Aekku has to get them to reveal their relationship (which is publicly kept a secret), unaware of Mi-Rae's intentions.

working with non-profit wildlife protection and conservation efforts, has a little squad of hyper-vigilant zoomanitarian search and rescue emergency animal doctors that specifically head to dangerous places doing intense emt roadside surgeries, goth boy apothecary hot boy shit, foraging for supplies, making life-saving medicine out of tiny mushrooms and pieces of tree bark, running through fields with possible landmines in it to save endangered species, going full emo indistana jones adventuring and saving the world as captain stanet in no mans land w/ all his tattoos and piercings ( hero KING! )

...just pointing and laughing at teacher yersey when he finally gets thirty min of service on the helicopter flying out of snake island, brazil having nearly escaped having his flesh melted off by pit vipers doing important smart boy science research on different poisons and his fiancé calls him bc he got a bug bite and he thinks he's Cooked.

Guilty Pleasure Kdramas - Descendants of the Sun.

On a lazy Sunday afternoon I rewatched Descendants of the Sun. For all its flawed writing, an ending twist that none of us needed, I still love this drama and the main reason is how charming Song Joong Ki is as Captain Yoo Si Jin. SJK is not a strong built muscular man - the ones who would usually fit the bill of an army captain. The script writer even takes a jovial dig at this when Kim Ji Won’s character says he looks like a girl. Despite his slim face and petite frame he carries off the role with lot of panache. You can’t take your eyes off the screen everytime he is on it.

His confessions of love I can rewatch many times. No wonder the line should I confess or should I apologise went viral when the show aired and still features amongst the top dialogues in KDramas.

YooSiJin is witty and sarcastic, confident and brave, empathetic with strong morals, charming at flirting and dropping lines that are cheesy, but will still make your heart flutter and as a bonus is handsome. What’s not to love about him?

SHK looks gorgeous and while I am not a fan of her acting, I couldn’t stop being in awe of how pretty she looked in what are simple day outfits - cotton dresses , linen shirts and shorts rightly suiting the climate the drama is based in. The wardrobe I aspire to have! Once back to Korea she is in baggy trousers, long jumpers or scrubs and still looks ethereal.

This is the first drama of Kim Ji Won that I watched and her chemistry with JinGoo was sizzling! I was as invested in the second leads as I was in the main leads. While the angst and breakup owing to the father dragged on, at no point did those two bore you.

SJK and JinGoo’s bromance is also amongst my favourite bromances in Kdramaland. Despite the clear difference in their army ranks - their loyalty , respect , unwavering support and love for each other was evident in every single frame.

I can rarely enjoy dramas if the supporting cast is not good and this one has a good squad in the medical and army gang who kept the atmosphere light and funny. The white actor as the villain was unbearable to watch and later in my kdrama journey I would realise this is the norm - they are just bad actors and maybe dramas don’t have the budget to hire good non-Korean actors.

Not to forget to mention that this drama’s soundtrack remains amongst my top 3! YoonMiRae’s Always remains my top Kdrama song ever!

People call the drama cheesy, the plot all over the place, and that the last twist of back from the dead in the last two episodes dragged the show down! I don’t debate any of this and ultimately we all have our guilty pleasures. Guilty pleasures are exactly this - we know they are flawed, but if watching the drama gives you joy, you will keep rewatching it. As I do with DOTS - because even after 4 years and multiple rewatches, I can’t get over the charm of Song Joong Ki as Captain Yoo Sijin. I have since loved him in Vincenzo and ReBorn Rich, but both had no romance plots and I would really like him back on my screen wooing his lady love!

THE WORST OF EVIL

GENRES: Action, Drama

SUMMARY: A cop goes undercover to take down one of the most powerful drug gangs in Gangnam but ends up questioning his own loyalties.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Pious jewelry, first loves, fishing trips, family pressures, ambitious DJs, lines of succession, hair-sprayed coifs, guns, knives, mistaken identities, Chinese-Japanese-Korean triads, flip phones, secret hideouts, abusive cops, and bourbon.

HOT TAKE: I don't care if both of these men are red flags in their own unique ways--I will root for them until the last drug den in Gangnam is shuttered.

There's some really great tension flowing through every scene of this show. Everyone has their own do-or-die agenda and they will all stop at nothing to see it through to the end. It's a treat to be a part of their struggles every part of the way.

lunch @ Rae Mi Hyang

Finally here! I have been wanting to come here for YEARS: Rae Mi Hyang. A former coworker of mine really liked this place. She said it was her fav Korean restaurant.

Located in a tiny random strip mall by Southgate Mall, Rae Mi Hyang is a Korean restaurant that specializes in Korean-Chinese food.

Sorry, did not take photos of the interior but it's been a round for soooo long- you'll easily find pictures online for the interior. Overall, it has ol' school diner vibes haha like the dining establishments you see in K-movies. The dark chairs with old red leather seats. .. you know I mean?!

The menu that was presented to me. So hilarious.. I was reading this & decided on what to order, talking to my company C Lee at the same time. ..

But she was across from me so her page looked diff than mine & I was like "there's more?!" .. then she flipped my menu over. .. LOL you know what it was? I was reading the Korean-only page bcos... I can. While she was looking at the menu with English & descriptions!

Our #19 - spicy chicken with veggies. I was addicted to the sauce! It's diff than spicy fried chicken at other places. This one is way saucier & sweeter. The chicken, which was fried, had a layer of soggy-crispy skin. It's hard to describe. Like it wasn't exactly crunchy anymore. But it's still kind of crunchy. This dish reminded of sweet & sour pork even though it wasn't pork. . nor was it sour. It just had that kinda vibe.

C Lee's regular black bean noodles. She said she preferred the sauce here than at other places bcos it wasn't as sweet. The noodles were thicker than usual ones & they're yellow :O not sure which kind of noodle this was .. but I had the same kind of noodles for my seafood jjambbong.

Ta-daaa~ Great portion! Came with some squid, shrimp, 1 mussle, & a baby crab. The baby crab was a surprise tbh. I really liked it. I ended up finishing the whole thing (but got no proof for you). I wished the broth was spicier. Was a little too sweet for me. Everything was well balanced but I just wanted that litttttle bit more!

Prices are kinda steep? I mean- $34 for that chicken, where 1/3 of the dish were veggies =/ but $15 & $19 for the noodles were reasonable. I would revisit for sure but unsure how often.
