Tapu Koko
Tapu koko is one of the most well known of the Tapus, as he’s quite social, and known for his love of battling, and apparently chocolate, the latter of which I discovered when I was attempting to take my lunch break and he stole my chocolate bar, and later stole a half of one of my peanut butter and nutella sandwiches. Meyu found this, and my food agressive reaction of snarling when he came back near my food to be hilarious, as did Poltergheist and Tapu Koko. I did not find it hilarious. Meyu and Koko got along pretty well, practically staring me down until I huffed and let them battle. It was a pretty fun battle, both of them as strong as they were, though there was still quite the gap in natural strength, made up for by Koko’s experience, something Meyu lacked, as I haven’t been able to battle with him all too often considering the fact that he’s well, a Mewtwo. After the battle, which Tapu Koko lost, he allowed me to heal him begrudgingly, after I said it was because I wanted to thank him for such a challenging and fun battle, which gave me an opportunity to get a close look at him. His actual shell was smooth and solid, and his muscles were of the much leaner variety I think, as he was less bulky and more fast. I had explained earlier that I wanted to be able to fully describe his majesty for others to hear, something that made him much more willing to deal with my observation, as apparently he has a bit of an ego. Don’t tell him I said that. He seems to have a sweet tooth, preferring sweeter berries, and eating sweeter meats if they’re available. Meyu wasn’t as appreciative of me fawning over Koko, but he allowed it as he knew my reasoning for doing so. Tapu koko’s skin is covered by a layer of fine feathers, which are almost like a thin layer of down, with the feathers on his head being larger, and being what forms the crest on his head, something he seems to be very proud of. The feathers below his waist are long, and more flexible. I also asked various questions, Meyu rolling his eyes multiple times. Koko is a little fickle, but he claims that he just sometimes doesn’t like certian people. He’s one of the more active Tapu, preferring to crack down more harshly every now and then as a warning, but keeping the punishments based on how bad the crime was, and how many times he’s punished them in the past for the most part. He dislikes unprovoked attacks on wild pokemon, but he’s more understanding if it was to prevent a particularly dangerous pokemon from attacking first, so long as it doesn’t happen very often. Stealing is something he punishes more based on what was stolen, with stealing pokemon being the worst thing and something he cracks down on quickly and harshly, and stealing other things being something he might overlook if there’s not a big fuss raised over it. Another thing he’ll be quick to punish is murdering, though he takes into account the motive. If it’s self defense, he’ll let you off, giving a warning if it was a pokemon murdered, and for other reasons, aside from insanity he cracks down, often roughing up the person before tossing them over to the authorities, though he may kill someone who has murdered multiple people, killed pokemon for reasons other than self defense or defense of another, or killed children. Tapu Koko says that he’s much more leanient with children as often they might not know they were doing something wrong or might not have meant to do something, sometimes leaving the parent with a warning. He’s not very toleratant of child abuse if he’s aware of it, but he did admit that sometimes it’s not that he doesn’t want to help, it’s that he isn’t sure how to do so exactly, as him trying to interefere might make things worse, and depending on the type of abuse he might not know how to punish the parents. Meyu brought up a good point about if he had to punish pokemon. Tapu Koko was a bit surprised at this, but he mentioned that for the most part, he didn’t have to worry as much about that, and that most Tapu didn’t, but that sometimes he did have to settle disputes, or set up a count system for predators. He also said that Ratta and Yungoos were the pokemon he recieved complaints about the most, but that the fear of the Tapu wrath was usually enough to keep all of them in line for the most part. Tapu Koko was much more tolerant of my questions and observations than I had expected, though he said that Bulu might be hard to get interested enough to answer, and Fini might take some work convincing, but that he’d try to put in a nice word for me, and suggested I try talking to Tapu Lele, as she’s known to be more docile, if a little overbearing.

Tapu Overview
So, I’ve found that all Tapus have a lot in common Biologically, which was to be expected. One of these things is that they all wanted to battle Meyu, which he seemed quite eager to partake in. I feel kinda bad for the Kahunas, all of whom were either nervous, or apathetic about. (*cough* Nanu *cough*) I’ll make separate posts regarding the individual biology of each. They have a solid shell, that feels smooth, almost like a beak or sanded wood, with around the same durability. In other words all of them are like nuts. Their skin has a very defined texture for each of them, and is quite thick. The tapus all have varied diets, being omnivorous, with a preferance for certain foods. They seem to be friendly for the most part, so long as you are respectful. Their shells are attached to their bodies, incapable of being removed, though that was to be expected. That’s kinda all I got. It’s better to talk about them in separate posts.

Have you ever had the chance to properly study a legendary. Clearoc and Hazyvern, the legendaries here are both only understood through murals and hard to translate runes, so its very understandable
Actually, as a matter of fact, I have! I've been able to study a Mewtwo, a second clone from a different Mew, and was purposefully made to be more docile, and yet he's stronger than was expected.
By "A Mewtwo" she means me, I chose to be her Pokemon, and prefer to go by Meyu, though I've also been called the docile clone, I'm the second born of three, the first clone escaped 10 years prior to when the public learned of their existence, and 10 years before I was created.
Other's I've met are the Lati twins, Zapdos, though I didn't hang around very long, the Island Guardians of Alola, Regigas, who I actually climbed when I was six years old, long story. I've seen Articuno at a distance, but that's it so far. I am going to get to meet Mew this spring though! If the gods are willing to allow it, jury's still out on that.
I've also met Deoxys, but anytime I try to ask a question regarding his biology or anything of the sort he acts like I never asked, and does the same thing with Meyu.
He's a bit of an ass. It'll just take time.

Tapu Lele
So after talking to Tapu Koko It was off to Akala island, where I had to track down the kahuna, a few people were confused as to why I was interested in meeting the Tapu, to which I informed them that I wanted to ask the Tapu directly about what each of them disliked people doing the most, so that I could post online what not to do on each island so that they might not have to be angered as often as they are. One person mentioned that Bulu and Fini would probably appreciate that very much, as they were becoming less tolerant of disrespectful tourists.
It took some time before I was able to track Olivia down, and when I explained that I wanted permission to try and talk to Tapu Lele she was very understanding. I explained about the blog I had made, and Meyu as well, and she said that what I was wanting to do was a noble thing, and that she’d be glad to help me out. Tapu Lele was definitely the most enthusiastic of the bunch to answer my questions and allow me to observe, mentioning that Tapu Koko had said I gave him a pretty fun battle, and that I had been very careful not to step over any boundaries. Something I appreciated. Lele’s entire body is covered in a layer of very fine scales, which can easily be removed by touch, crumbling into a powderlike substance that while in large amounts can become toxic, is able to heal in small amounts. Her “hair” is made in sections of what appears to be a thick hide, and is scale free. Tapu Lele says that her favorite food is “Any human Sweet, unless it’s chocolate.” And prefers berries to any other food source, but occasionally enjoys meat. She has a marked distaste for bitter foods. In other words she’s got the largest sweet tooth of the tapus, and isn’t a fan of chocolate unless it’s got peanut butter, but that “White Chocolate is ok. I like that stuff.” Lele insisted on me petting her the entire time, claiming that I was, “Absolutely amazing at petting.” I was not very sure how to take that, and Meyu grumbled about how I was his trainer, not hers. Tapu Lele stated that she didn’t like to crack down at all, not being someone who enjoyed, and would rather scare the shit outta people than hurt them if she didn’t have to, but that she had zero tolerance for “Abuse, bullying, being an asshole, stealing things that weren’t already stolen to begin with, Murder that was not in self defense, and unnecesary killing on the part of pokemon.” She explained that while “I do sometimes go overboard with trying to be nice and end up hurting others, It’s an accident, and accidents happen. So I just give warnings in those cases and do my best to help out.” She also relies on the pokemon of her island to give her information about what’s going on and she likes to check things out herself before making a descision. All in all It was one of the more pleasant interviews, and she said she’d make sure to let Bulu and Fini know that I’m doing this more to inform people about what not to do on the islands, and that Bulu would be the hardest to get to, but he wouldn’t be too hard to contact, so long as I made sure to bring him some popcorn, as he is a big fan of it.

I’M BACK.
So, I’m really sorry for the inactivity as of late, I’ve been pretty busy, as my Alolan cousin, who I was staying with over the duration of my trip gave birth recently and between helping her with the new addition to the family and doing research on the Tapus I’ve had my hands pretty full, but I’ve got a lot of shit to unpack research-wise so buckle up for a nice long post. I’ll be separating these into multiple posts, this is just to let everyone know I’m back. Anyway I’m back home now, something Meyu is very glad about, as he gets to sleep in his closet again, even if that means blocking the doors.

Worldwide TV-broadcast interview brought to you by Mauville television
“Welcome to Co-ordinators galore! Where we interview the best and most interesting coordinaters as of now! Today we have an extremely special guest, so special in fact, that while we don't usually allow pokemon on set, we had to make a special exception just for her! It's the one! The only! Ruianna Arcadia!"
Ruianna walked out onto the set, aura rising in small amounts from her hands, but she seemed quite calm, a small white Riolu, the usually black markings a somewhat darker silvery color, and the yellow ring between the white and that of the usually dark markings. Her fur was a little bit longer, and all but the usual Riolu markings were covered in dark gray almost black in some lighting Liepard spots, aside from her stomach following after her. Tatha was already perched on her shoulder.
Meanwhile Meyu was already on set, appearing in the background, seemingly relaxed as he leaned against the wall, eyes open as he seemed to focus on the tablet in his paws.
The pinkette sat down, picking the Riolu up and setting her in her lap.
"So Ruianna, as every dedicated Coordinating fan knows, about five years ago you simply quit, without a single word, however there were rumors that the reason was a toxic fanbase, tell us all what we're dying to know, why did you quit?"
"I was actually the one who spread those rumors. I figured that maybe if they thought they were the ones who caused my absence in the first place, they'd get better. Roll the damn footage."
A clip rolled, showing a mob of people you could barely see through, all shouting out questions about Rui, including one very hurtful comment in particular, clearly heard above the rest. "Why is Ruianna even friends with someone like you anyways?!"
Rui's Aura flared at that comment, visible even on camera as her calm expression quickly turned to one of rage, and both her Eevee and Meyu glared at the camera.
"But clearly a rumor isn't enough. I'm talking to everyone who mobbed a friend of mine new to the contest scene in Lillycove, you all KNOW what you did, and if you ever do something like that again I will leave the contest scene, permenantly. I love contests. My pokemon love them too, but I refuse to let a toxic fanbase get in the way of my attempts to follow my dreams as a researcher and live my life happily or ruin the fun for my friends and family! This is the only warning you guys get. You all better behave yourselves. Or that contest I participated in will be the last one for me."
"But didn't Caden say that if you permanently quit contests because of your fanbase that he would to?!"
"Yes. We agreed when my fans started getting toxic that if they refused to let us live our lives like normal people save for events, either of us, and drove us to the point of quitting permanently, we'd both quit."
"What was the first breaking point to make you decide to quit the first time?"
"It was *#$@&%¢© horrible, I could barely go outside without being practically stampeded, my Pokemon were scared I'd end up hurt, and that's not even mentioning the paparazzi swarming my entire life. But the real breaking point was when they broke into my family's home where I was staying and tried to steal one of his Pokemon."
"Was it really that bad?"
"Yeah. And getting my education to become a certified legendary researcher? Forget it. But that's in the past, and if I find out that they're going after them again? Not only will I quit, but there's a good chance Meyu will take it personally."
"Mewtwo? The Mewtwo?!"
"Actually, I'm a different Mewtwo, and frankly prefer my nickname. But yes, I will take it personally. Rui's business is my business, and if something is bothering her, it's my job to fix it. No matter what means I may have to use to do so."
"And he's speaking Galarian. Not using Telepathy. Speaking. Full Galarian. I better not lose my job because a god threatened our viewers."
Rui's Aura calmed down, and Meyu went back to the tablet, Tatha adjusting her position on her trainer's shoulder. "Anyway, on a brighter note, I would like to confirm that any rumors that may have been heard about me adopting a kid are in fact true."
"I was just wondering about that, did you really use a Z-move with a Mega on the battlefield? Who were the people you were defending him from? Were they really using shadow Pokemon?"
"I did, but I wouldn't suggest it, I barely managed to pull it off myself, and even then it drained me quite a lot. If someone without a strong enough life force attempted it without knowing what they were doing, using the precise method I did, and had more than enough life force to make a mistake? Well they'd die."
"She's exaggerating on how much it drained her, but that's because she has an inhuman amount of Aura."
"As for who I was fighting, well let's just say they weren't exactly, good people. Who they were doesn't matter, and don't go pestering my kid for answers. I'm going to be even less tolerant of any treatment of him that's close to what happened to my friend. You can talk, interact and ask him a few questions, but if he wants you to back off and you refuse to respect that he doesn't want to answer your questions or talk? Let's just say that I'm not going to beg for your lives if Meyu decides to defend him. And to answer that last question, yes, they did. Two, but I've since purified them. They'll be fine. Wish I could say the opposite for their former trainers however."
"I can fix that."
"Meyu, no. No murder, I'm not encouraging that."
The reporter nervously cleared her throat. "So, who exactly is your adopted son anyway?"
Rui's face lit up at that question, mood changing instantly from the former angry mama Ursaring she'd just been a moment ago.
"His name is Lazar and he's an adorable child and I love him he's just so precious and amazing and he's one of those kids that must be protected always because they're so pure and kind and did I mention how much I care about him?"
"He's probably watching right now."
"Really?!"
"Also totally not going to listen to what you said earlier."
"Do I need to get the spray bottle?!"
"..... No.. also really? On TV? That's gonna be there forever!"
"And looks like that's all the time we have today, thank you for watching and thank you Miss Arcadia for letting us have this opportunity!"

Meyu is your Aster
Yes, I suppose he is. And while I may get on him for things, and he may be a little hippocritical at times, he's still my Meyu. He's stuck with me through thick and then and, this whole thing with Poppy and the cultists and getting kidnapped has really shown me just how much he cares, Meyu's practically bonded himself to me.

I'm back
I'd like to apologize for my absence, I've had some recent difficulties in life, though it gave me the opportunity to take some more observations on Meyu when he's presented with certain situations.
For example, I was traveling back and forth between my home region and Kanto, due to having to sort out my aunt's will and figure out what we were supposed to do with her Pokemon, who were obviously upset when she died from a brain aneurysm. Her Audino was especially upset, and all the grief from the other Pokemon my aunt owned definitely wasn't helping. Meyu asked me about the situation and I explained it to him. He seemed a bit confused at first but quickly understood the situation.
A few times I found him letting his tail drop onto the shoulders of her Pokemon, and at one point even my own. I think it's a gesture of comfort, something that most wouldn't expect from one.
Another thing I've noticed is how sensitive to touch Meyu is. I have a lot of pillows and plushies with different fabrics and fake fur, including a few mermaid pillows, the ones with reversible sequins, mostly because I have a thing about textures. He seems to be fascinated with the way they feel, often running his hands? Paws? Not sure what the proper term is. Anyway he really likes feeling them.
I guess it makes sense, psychic types often have many nerve cells. And Mewtwo are some of the most powerful. It makes sense that he'd have so many nerves. His tail seems to also be pretty sensitive, he's always very careful with how close it gets to heaters and such. Which reminds me, all these nerves, and the way the spinal chord works in general, make me wonder about the cord on the back of Meyu's neck. He tends to be careful about not getting anything hung up on it. I can't help but wonder if maybe it contains a section of spinal chord as well. After all, with all the extra nerve endings he seems to have he'd need a pretty thick spine to connect them all to the brain. The problem with that however is the fact that the neck contains a lot more than just a section of Spinal chord. So maybe Mewtwo needs an extra spinal chord section to properly connect his nervous system. Then again, I'm no expert, and I'm just guessing here.

If I may ask, what about Meyu would cause questions? (Don't worry, I have my own pokemon that would cause questions)
The fact that he’s a Mewtwo. I met him while on a picnic with the other members of me team, and when he approached I gave him a pokepuff in hopes of keeping him from attacking. He ended up chatting with me and decided that he was going to be my pokemon. I ended up starting this blog so that I could help out researchers since there’s not much information on legendary pokemon. I figured I couldn’t be the only one to have had a legendary insist on joining their team. So I might as well do this. I’ve got more research on him farther back on my blog, under the Meyu tag.

Hey guys, I figured that since it's trans visibility day, I'd have a Pokemon share something special!
Also yes, he did have Puffball transferred to Galar just for this.
Alright everyone! So I'm here to have a very good friend of mine share his story, and also get his feathers dyed because he only ever lets me do it and I gotta do it.
So, Puffball, go on and share your story with everyone!
Hi, my name is Puffball, I'm an Altaria, and I'm a trans male. This is my story, and it's a long one.
It all started when I was just a little swablu, learning my part in the flock. But... It didn't feel right. I felt wrong doing the things that were considered female tasks. At first I figured I just wasn't feminine.
But as time went on, it felt wrong even considering myself a girl. I didn't like being called by a very feminine name, I didn't like it, I wanted to do the things the guys did, to be considered one of them.
It wasn't until we were flying over a pride parade that I started learning about why I seemed so broken. We stopped to rest, and I listened in. That's when I learned what it was to be trans.
It- it explained so much, I felt a little less like I was defective, like there was something wrong with me. I wanted to find out more, but the flock forced us all onwards, with many muttering in disgust.
I didn't understand, couldn't understand why, what was wrong with realizing you were born the wrong gender? With deciding you were male or female? Why was there a problem?
I started sneaking off, going to pride parades and learning as much as I could. I started feeling more comfortable with the idea that I was male. And that I could decide that. It felt right.
This is who I am.
It took me a long time, but finally I came out to my flock.
Only to have my hopes crushed. They were awful, saying all sorts of horrible stuff, and then chasing me out.
I was alone. Unevolved, with no flock, and heartbroken.
That's around when we found him, I helped him out of a sticky situation and took him in. It took him a year before he was willing to come out, and while some of us were confused and needed a bit of explanation, we all supported him wholeheartedly!
I think Tatha mentioning that one of her sisters was trans helped a lot too. Anyway we need to get back to doing Puffball's feathers. Also Meyu and Deoxys stole my phone, and I think they're taking advantage of Jirachi being awake because Deoxs said something about how they'd be excited that it's trans visibility day?

Uh, Rui.. that was for the ask meme. Sorry.
Oh shit! I'm sorry, I had a moment of absent intelligence.

CADEN I WILL FUCKING BURN YOUR THROAT INTO MOTHERFUCKING OBLIVION YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!!
First off, didn't I make you and Rui build up my tolerance to Aura so that I could tank the younger sibling's weaker blasts if need be? Second off, language, and the thing behind door number three is *drumroll* THIS BIRD!
Okay! Before my sister can kill my knife cat meme of a childhood friend I think we should answer the question!

Are you gonna study Regigigas when you head back to Sinnoh?
Yeah, that's the plan. I was already in Sinnoh to study some of the legendaries, Meyu's actually going through my research notes right now. I'll be looking through the myths as well as providing observations of the actual legendary itself, figured I would since that's why I started this blog in the first place.

Send asks I guess, not like I'll be doing any research anytime soon
God, everything hurts, especially my back. I think I may have lightly burned myself in some places with my own Aura, it's still unstable. Gran said I've got to start training on at least controlling the explosions that sometimes result from stress as soon as I'm cleared to go back to Sinnoh. Meyu's sorting through my research notes for me, he refuses to let me bury myself in my work. I'll be taking asks in the meantime, just so long as nobody tries to get me to talk about the cult event. I'm not ready to talk about that yet.

You strike me as more of a zorua honestly
Really? How so? I mean, I could be, I do love a good prank!
Isn't Riolu's hidden ability Prankster?
Aren't you supposed to be in timeout? Anyway, the reason I'm viewed as a Riolu is because I have aura, and as a kid I loved to wrestle with the pokemon my dad raised as a breeder, not to mention that I loved climbing trees and exploring old ruins that a little child probably shouldn't have been allowed near. Hence why Poppy thinks I am a Riolu in disguise.

more story time I guess.
Meyu was the first of the group to wake up. Usually he slept in closets, but since Ruianna and her cousin had started a movie marathon after the festival He’d decided to leave the small space of safety. He guessed they all must have fallen asleep at some point. He was leaning on Arko, Ruianna being buried in the fluff of his mane right next to him, one arm holding onto his waist. Pancake had curled up in the bend of their trainer’s legs(she was on her side), with Tatha having fallen asleep on his lap. Poltergheist has fallen asleep on Arko’s tail.
Meyu had had a strange dream, one regarding his past, but he couldn’t seem to remember it. He remembered white sterile halls, but that was it. The feline sighed, leaning back onto Arko, unable to get back to sleep. He couldn’t help but hope that when they went to visit Tapu Koko that they would be challenged to a battle.
Meyu didn’t get to battle all that often, partially because he was too strong and partially because there weren’t very many trainers they could trust with the knowledge of him.
He didn’t have to wait too much longer for the others to wake up, and sighed when he had to return to his pokeball. He knew that Ruianna would let him out as soon as they were far enough down the Mahalo trail that he didn’t have to worry about being seen by any of the civillians in the small town.

I think I get it! So you have a soul twin? How'd you two meet? Are you guys close? What are they like?
Yep, not everyone has one, but I do.
Well, originally we met to talk about research and try to find Meyu's lab of origin, not to mention happening to be in the same place at the same time. I didn't realize we were soul twins until a while after my Aura had fully manifested. Of course, that was mostly because at the time I was getting a lot of mixed signals, and didn't see her face to face again until some... Unfortunate circumstances with a cult.
Whether or not we're close.... You fucking bet. Not even all of the legendary and mythical pokemon working together could break our bond!
As for what they're like, well, I can point you to their blog, @researcherpoppy-coordinatorzane
