“I'd like to talk with Strowman before you and Jacob handle this Triple Threat match.” Cheering echoed from the backstage walls as you visited Damian on “Friday Night Smackdown.” 

“Fair enough.” Damian nodded and kissed your cheek. 

Until further notice, big-time qualifying matches would still determine lineups for the Elimination Chamber. 

After gaining friendship over quite some time, Jacob Fatu already stood as your brother once production cameras stopped rolling for episodes. 

On the other hand, you would hardly pass near Braun Strowman while joining the “Smackdown” roster first. Questions had jumbled right away. 

“Sis!” Lowering the hoodie of his dark sweatshirt, Jacob opened both sleeved arms to hug you and stepped back to greet Damian, genuinely kind.

“Hey.” You smiled. “I've never really met Strowman before, so it'd be nice if we just talk in person, especially with the chamber coming up.” 

“Good idea. I had my match with Braun, but you know what happened.” Jacob almost cringed when one of the previous episodes turned bloody. 

“I know.” You still encouraged Jacob and moved with Damian, ready to meet “The Monster.”

“Braun! Save dessert for us.”Jacob laughed through gold grills and introduced you. “She's here.”

“Jacob? I'm sorry…” Smiling near everyone for a moment, Braun turned around and his voice revealed Southern roots. “Hi.”

“Remember me?” You tried to jog his own memory and silence crossed the room and tension picked up. 

“Oh my God…” Braun quietly stepped back, almost flabbergasted over you. “Champ. What are you doing here? I thought you joined Monday Night Raw.” 

“Visiting Damian.” You glanced toward Priest and smiled. 

“Wait, I thought…” Braun struggled, pointing between you and Damian this time. 

“Hold on.” Jacob Fatu silently realized Braun”s next question and excused himself from you, taking Strowman elsewhere. “We'll be right back.”

“I'm not dramatic, but what the hell?”  Braun almost can't believe what's going on. 

“She broke up with Roman….” Jacob offered the truth about you. 

“When?” Braun's Southern roots picked up all over again. 

“Wrestlemania, man.” Jacob quickly shook his head. 

“39 or 40?” Braun squinted over the annual events. 

“39.” Jacob nearly whispered. 

“Damn, that's a long time. How's he doing?” All jokes aside, Braun wanted to look out for Reigns. 

“Jey won The Rumble, but Roman just tapped out.” Jacob explained. “You should've seen what happened after we faced elimination.”

“I have time, friend.” Braun waited to hear more details. “Let's go.”

“I've fought Roman myself.” Braun scrunched up his face. “Seth Rollins curb stomped his head?”

“Yeah. It was scary.” You still remembered everything. “Security guards rushed him out on a golf cart.” 

“Any updates?” Braun questioned. 

“Out indefinitely.” You say right back. 

“Who knows what that means…” Strowman welcomed reality tonight. 

“Stay safe in the ring. Please.” You wanted everyone to remain cautious no matter what took place. 

“Yes, Ma'am…” All three men nodded as you gathered essentials to leave for the night.

“You look beautiful. What's the plan?” Damian “caught” you standing in the bedroom mirror one night. 

“Thank you. Dinner with Naomi.” You'd spend time with one of your best friends until life pushed Wrestlemania again. 

“A. Have fun and stay safe.” Damian smiled and held your hand. 

“We will. See you later.” You bid farewell as headlights beamed from the driveway outdoors.

“Hi!” You cheered and hugged Naomi before sitting down in this restaurant together. 

“Hey, girl.” Her smile beamed toward you once more as the server welcomed drinks and menus reached this table. “I invited Bianca too, but she couldn't make it.”

“Aw, don't worry. There's always next time.” You mentioned Bianca Belair, Naomi’s Tag Team partner. 

“We're still counting down. Are you ready?” Naomi hinted possibilities for Wrestlemania season. 

“Not sure what's going on. I didn't even compete from our side of the Rumble this year.” For once,  you slighted that large-scale Women's event. 

“Charlotte…” Naomi rolled both eyes after ordering her meal and grumbled about Charlotte Flair winning as usual. 

“Yep.” For years, Charlotte had taken over without making real attempts, even while you joined that WWE roster because of “Money In The Bank.”

“I have an idea.” Naomi leaned inward for a second. 

“What?” Your intrigue skyrocketed almost right away. 

“Let me handle things and we'll shake up the world.” Naomi vowed, paying the bill as you would return home.

“Ladies and gentlemen: Wrestlemania season continues! Welcome back to another episode of Monday Night Raw.” Announcers finished one commercial break during this broadcast. 

Tonight, Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair stood in the ring wearing another high-end outfit, but thousands of people just continued booing. 

“This is my brutality!” While spotlights flashed purple and blue, one screamed pulled over loud music. Badass Rhea Ripley showed up this evening and fans shrieked beyond happiness. 

“We've crossed the ring before, but you're still just a kid.” Charlotte failed to intimidate Rhea when the excitement of music faded away. “I'll always be better than you.” 

“Stolen titles don't count here.” Rhea stepped forward. “Even if I don't reach Wrestlemania again, there's someone much better than you.”

Once music changed the atmosphere, spotlights dropped from all corners and Charlotte glanced around. Soon enough, thousands raved in the building. Even commentators didn't know what to believe. 

When you turned the corner and marched right down this large entrance ramp, decibels of noise might shatter plans from an everlasting universe. 

“She never participated in the Royal Rumble this year, but our former champion has just arrived!” Announcers pulled excitement for you once more. 

Ovations replaced disappointment as you hugged Rhea and stood across from Charlotte Flair, bringing this show into another frenzy of joy. 

“I know Rhea very well, but who the hell are you?” Facing your path, Charlotte dared to lift her microphone and signaled the most obnoxious question. 

“Another opponent.” You defended so much against Charlotte. “Until you returned at the Royal Rumble, my friends took over this company, but so did I!” 

“Oh! I know exactly who you are…” Charlotte would still remember your own presence. “Ms. Money In The Bank, right?” 

“We all remember the beginning.” Behind their announcement table, commentators encouraged your start. 

Fans cheered for your blockbuster debut and even Rhea Ripley nodded, still proud no matter what. 

“Yes, Charlotte.” You agreed. 

“What’s so special? Nothing. You didn’t even win Wrestlemania last time.” Charlotte snipped chaos back and the audience erupted through frustration. 

“Cheap shot by Charlotte! Champ fought Rhea Ripley fair and square last time.” Announcers protected your decision for a hiatus after Wrestlemania. You even considered leaving this business anyway. 

“Beat her ass!” Fans chanted over and over again while you kept standing right across from Charlotte. Thousands of voices wished for revenge. 

Before Charlotte could say anything else, more people almost stormed down the entrance ramp this evening. 

“Oh my goodness! Champ has company, ladies and gentlemen. Naomi, Tiffany Stratton and Bianca Belair are here!” Announcers can’t believe that some of your friends pulled through. 

Forming this team like superheroes, Rhea Tiffany, Naomi and Bianca stood around you, prepared to battle in comparison to lone wolf Charlotte. 

“Don’t be scared.” You took aim while speaking near Charlotte. “You carried your father’s legacy, but I have my own story now.” 

“Good try. No matter who I choose, no one is better than me.” Charlotte walked off as the chorus of booing returned on camera.

“Burn it down!” Later than night, storming rock music woke up the audience when Seth Rollins emerged through flamed spotlights. 

This time around, fans kept screaming with excitement as Rollins swayed beyond high-end wardrobe. Thousands screamed once more. 

“Ladies and gentlemen, The Architect has returned to Monday Night Raw!” Commentators pulled the opening as Rollins marched in leather. 

Seconds later, his own theme music stopped booming and Rollins didn't know what to think, puzzled on live cameras this time around. 

“This is awesome!” Almost right away, fans cheered after realizing that you stood behind him. 

“Uh-oh! Be careful, Seth.” Talking over the broadcast once more, commentators almost panicked from their well-known table. 

Donning black boots, Rollins lowered his cowboy hat and removed sunglasses, yet tried to glance near you as spotlights brightened all corners. 

“I know why you're here.” Seth lifted his microphone while addressing you. “Roman deserved that pain whether you like it or not.” 

“Bullshit!” Thousands of voices rejected that apology. 

“Another disgusting form of betrayal took place that night.” Commentators loathed Seth's actions from the Royal Rumble. 

“Why do you still care about Roman?” Seth pulled more venom. “When Damian Priest got eliminated, you gasped like Damian just fell off the playground swingset.” 

“Everyone reacts differently.” You defended yourself. 

“But when CM Punk pushed Roman and me from the ring, you exploded!” Seth almost fumed while responding. 

“Very unexpected.” You say, bringing thousands near agreement. 

“Why not love Roman as much as you hate me?” Rollins nearly shook up the audience as cameras zoomed toward you. 

“That’s none of your business.” You quickly answered. 

“Let’s be honest right now.” Rollins kept going. “Roman put arrogance on the backburner and kissed the ground you walked on. Why the hell would you leave?”

“Shut up, Seth.” You can’t take insults anymore and this crowd welcomed your defense right back. “Either change the subject or leave my ring!” 

“You even sound like him. Some things never change, baby!” Nearly manic laughter almost woke up your rage when Seth pulled another game, but you remembered the plot twist. 

5, 4, 3, 2, 1! This silent countdown dwindled from thoughts as one knowing smile reached your expression. 

Out of nowhere, blue spotlights darkened the area. Even Rollins froze and stood up straight without thinking twice. Heroically ominous music thundered out loud as his leather pants nearly buckled upon realization. Thousands of fans jumped from their seats, ready to see war again. 

“The Tribal Chief has woken up. Tread lightly, Seth Rollins!” Announcers only pulled strings more and more. 

Not only had Roman returned from this devastating curb stomp act, but Jimmy and Jey Uso flagged each step, standing with you for the first time since Jey won the Royal Rumble. Even The Wiseman Paul Heyman looked on.

“OTC!” Fans chanted through shock and pride when Seth turned around once more, absolutely flabbergasted. 

“I’m…” Seth lifted both hands across from Roman and just tried to surrender. “I didn’t know you were here, pal. Is everything all right?”

“Count your days, fool! It’s over.” While noticing Seth here, Jimmy and Jey couldn’t help defending Roman. 

“Oh, no. Here we go, everyone.” Professional announcers held their breath when Roman grabbed this microphone. 

“I should kick your ass right now!” Facing Seth, Roman began to speak and noise picked up around the venue. “You put me out for so long that I almost missed Wrestlemania altogether.” 

“Don’t charge pain at me.” Seth cleared his throat. “Save your strength for the Elimination Chamber, man. I’m sorry.” 

“No you’re not.” Roman knew so much better and looked in your direction. “Even though you hurt me, I’m even more upset that you tried to bring her down.” 

“She broke your heart.” Seth continued. “It’s not my fault that you’re miserable now. She doesn’t care and never has.”

“If you don’t stop talking about her, I’ll knock your teeth out!” Defending you once more, Roman sized up The Architect, pissed off beyond words. 

“Seth continues looking for war!” Through each passing moment, announcers relayed simmering chaos.  

“You never listened! You never paid attention.” Correcting Seth over you, Roman barked through his Southern accent. “You hear what she said? Huh? Get out of the ring!” 

“She doesn't love you, walk away!” Turned elsewhere by security, Rollins kept shouting when credits ended the show.

just some Sutton Valence-adjacent shenanigans for tonight after a long golf practice. it’s hard to explain but in the original Sutton Valence, characters who had children that were also major characters (like Gregory and Adam) were not seen as parents and children. like it was acknowledged that Gregory was technically his father, but it wasn’t the same person. bc that Gregory was not the same age. if that makes any sense. just keep that in mind

“Crow, do you have any formal clothes?” Mako anxiously slid the hangers of his cramped wardrobe as he brushed through his collection of nicer clothing. 

“Nothing that would fit you.” Crow crossed his legs as he mashed the buttons of his Switch. “Where are you two going, anyway?” 

“Panera.”

“Panera?” Crow repeated as he paused his play-through of Deltarune to stare at Mako, mouth agape. “You’re asking me for formal clothes for a date at Panera?”

“I don’t have anything!” Mako exclaimed. “I mean, he’s a big fashion guy. What if I wear something entirely inappropriate?”

“I can guarantee you that formal attire at Panera Bread would be entirely inappropriate,” Crow said. 

“What do you think I should wear, then?” Mako sighed. 

“I don’t know, man. I’m a fan of the collared shirt and sweatshirt combo, personally. It never misses.” 

“Collared shirt,” Mako repeated, standing on the tip of his toes as he swung the metal tops of his hangers. “Nice sweatshirt.”

Meanwhile, Gale adjusted the button of his shirt as he puffed out his hair in his bathroom mirror. It was a simple ensemble. Mako liked simple, right? Did it really matter, in the long run? He already agreed to their date. 

“Kai, you’ve been going out with Noeul for a while, right?” Gale asked, propping open the bathroom door with his foot. 

“Something like that.” Kai dramatically stretched himself over his bed. “Why do you ask?”

“How often do you go on dates?” Gale asked. 

“Never,” Kai responded. “Why would we do that gay shit?” 

Gale cocked his head. “Because you want to further your relationship and understanding of each other?” 

“I think we understand each other perfectly fine.”

“I guess we’re just different.” Gale habitually picked at his cuticles, chipping his bronze nail polish. 

“Thank God,” Kai sneered, staring at the popcorn ceiling. 

“Can I borrow your blue sweatshirt?” Gale asked. “I’ll be careful with it.”

“It’s going to swallow you whole, but sure,” Kai said. “Just don’t get, like, cum or shit on it.” 

“Huh?” Gale said, his head craning around the door. 

“You heard me, Porter. Just don’t get freaky with your boy toy on my vintage Alexander McQueen, and we’ll be fine.” 

“That’s vintage McQueen?” Gale asked, his eyes widening. “And you never told me?” 

“It never came up.” Kai shrugged. 

“I might have to borrow it more often,” Gale said under his breath. 

“Where are you going, anyway?” Kai asked. 

“The little Panera down the street.” 

“Panera?” Kai laughed. “God, you are a faggot.”

“It’s cozy! They have good soups!”

“You are a pansy,” Kai cackled.

“You’ve shagged significantly more men than I have, Shirogane.” Gale narrowed his eyes as he tucked Kai’s sweatshirt into his khaki pants. 

“Shagged?” Kai said. “What, am I some kind of rug?”

Gale rolled his eyes. “You should be more familiar with British slang by now.”

“And you should be more familiar with some dick by now.” 

“I’m not interested in his… manly bits… right now-“

“What the fuck?” Kai cried.

“What?”

“Why do you talk like that all the time?” Kai asked. “‘His manly bits.’ This has to be a joke.”

“Welcome to Britain, Kai! Sorry, we have dignity and a healthy relationship with sex.”

“You clearly don’t have a healthy relationship with sex.”

“I don’t have a boyfriend who sleeps with Sonnet Chea behind my back.”

Kai blinked. “That’s not true, Gale.” 

“It most certainly is true!” 

“I know Noeul fucks Sonnet. I just don’t care.” 

“Oh.” Gale’s voice cracked. 

“I’m just saying, you should loosen up a little,” Kai said. “Learn to take a joke, man.”

“Your jokes aren’t very funny,” Gale said, grabbing his bag and wallet from a hook on their door. 

“They get me good dick,” Kai said. “What do your nonexistent jokes get you, Gale?”

“A boyfriend who actually gives two shits about me.” Gale stiffly smiled as he closed the door and headed down the hall to meet Mako. 

As Gale traversed the halls, Mako’s eyes were locked on his bedside alarm clock. 

“Does it look okay?” he asked, his voice wavering. “I think it looks okay.” 

“You look great, dude.” Crow awkwardly patted Mako’s back. “I think the blue sweatshirt and khaki pants complement each other.”

“Really?”

“Really.” 

“I’m nervous.” Mako fidgeted with the shark keychain dangling from his wallet. “I’ve never been on a date before. I think he really likes me, and I don’t want to fuck up-“ 

“If someone somehow doesn’t like you, then they’re the problem,” Crow said, instinctively adjusting the chain of Mako’s paperclip necklace. “Gale seems like a good guy. Just have fun.” 

“Do my teeth look weird?”

“As fucked-up as always.” Crow smiled. 

“Perfect.” Mako confidently grinned as he swung open the door of his dorm room. His face dropped as he saw Gale across the hall. Gale waved at him, and Mako slammed the door.

“Crow, what do I do?” Mako exclaimed. 

“What’s wrong?” Crow had just returned to his game, so he was moderately annoyed. 

“We’re wearing the same exact outfit.”

“You’re what?”

“I saw him down the hall. It’s the exact same. Blue sweatshirt, collared shirt, khakis.” 

Crow burst out laughing. “Are you serious?”

“This isn’t funny, Crow!”

“You’re right, this is hilarious. Open the door, let me get a picture of you two.” 

“Absolutely not-“

Gale managed to knock on the door twice before Crow aggressively opened it, slamming it directly into Gale’s nose. 

“Ah!” Gale shortly screamed, curling over to shield his nose with his hands. 

“Oh, fuck,” Crow whispered. “Gale, I’m so sorry, man-“

“No, I’m okay!” Gale nasally confirmed. “It’s not that bad, I promise.” 

Gale removed his hands to reveal a stream of blood pouring from his right nostril.

“Oh my god, are you okay?” Mako gasped.  “I’m so sorry, Crow’s such an asshole.”

“Hey!” Crow snapped. 

“No, I’m fine!” Gale laughed. “This happens sometimes. Nosebleeds, I mean. Do you have any tissues?”

“I got some from Crow’s desk. Here.” Mako shoved a wad of tissues into Gale’s face. 

“Wait, are we wearing the same outfit?” Gale murmured through a glob of bloody tissues. 

“Yeah, I think we are,” Mako laughed, his face bright red. 

“Smile!” Crow perched atop his bed with a digital camera and excitedly waved at the couple. He did not wait for them to smile. Instead, he caught a candid shot of Gale wiping blood from above his lip and Mako looking incredibly pissed at him. 

“I think I’m okay,” Gale confirmed, tilting his head down and admiring himself in Mako’s mirror. Blood no longer stained his upper lip.

Crow threw a black hoodie at Mako. “This is the hoodie we agreed to get at the Ricky Montgomery show. I’ve hoarded it for long enough. You can finally wear it.” 

“Is it clean?” Mako asked.

“Dubiously.”

Mako shrugged. “It should be fine.” 

Crow couldn’t help but notice Gale staring off at his quilted throw as Mako got changed. It was nice to witness some form of respect as opposed to the raging horniness he was accustomed to seeing.

“I should be ready to go,” Mako said, taking Gale’s hand. A warm flush crept across Gale’s cheeks. 

“Oh, yeah. Yeah, I’m ready, too,” Gale said.  Mako reached to open their door.

“Y’all be safe,” Crow called, doing his best impression of the Kentuckians he had grown to know and love. 

“Take care, now,” Mako replied in an equally horrific Southern accent. 

“You’re learning!” Crow excitedly clapped. 

“Never say that again,” Gale said, leaning into Mako. With that, the duo embarked on their romantic first date at the local Panera Bread.

Description: Ricco takes Mike golfing at his country club.

A few weeks later, Joe invited them out to his country club. 

It was clear that Joe needed this time out: he’d been yelled at, shot at, and driven off the road over the course of the Frankie Steele case. If Mike was being honest, they needed this too. Nearly being killed at the ACLU fundraiser had not been a date they wanted to remember. Being with Joe had proven to be much more stressful than they had expected. 

Mike was never one for golf. They weren’t sure what the protocol for a date to a country club was. Was it BYOG? Bring your own golf club? What did you wear? Mike supposed it would be a lot of richer older men, and maybe their wives gossiping over lunch. It all seemed a lot more fancy than Mike knew how to deal with, or Joe seemed like he would enjoy. 

When Mike arrived, Joe was waiting for them at the front with his dog, Hank, on a leash. He looked as casual as they ever saw him, just in slacks and a sweatshirt. Mike was relieved. 

“Isn’t it a little cold for that short little skirt?” Joe asked them as they walked up. 

“It’s not that short,” Mike retorted. 

“Hey, I’m not complaining. I just don’t want you to catch a cold.” 

He slid an arm around their waist as they walked. 

“So, did I have to bring my own golf club? I don’t have a golf club. I don’t play golf.” 

Joe chuckled warmly. “No, I have an extra one. You’ll be fine.” 

Mike and Joe got set up at the first hole, where a few others already were. A brown haired middle aged man in a baby blue cardigan noticed Joe and approached them. Joe almost looked annoyed. 

“Looks like you were right about Frankie Steele. Who would’ve thought?” he said casually. His gaze moved to Mike. “Ricco, who’s your young friend?” 

“Mike’s uh…” he looked at Mike for assistance. 

“He’s my boyfriend,” Mike said easily. 

The man gave Joe a knowing look. “Wow. Great job. You’ve still got it. She’s a real pretty young thing.” 

Mike wanted to slap him in the face. 

After he walked off, Mike asked Joe. “Does he think you’re robbing the cradle? How old do I look?” 

Joe gave them a squeeze with his arm. “Don’t worry about him. A lot of people at this club are uppity assholes. I’m just here for the golf.” 

“Is he going to be at every hole? “ Mike asked. 

“Not if we wait here a minute.” 

When he’d moved on, Joe took his golf club, set up his ball, and swung. Mike learned very quickly what Hank was here for. 

“Do you always miss that badly?” Mike asked as Hank ran to fetch the ball that Joe had overshot. 

“No. Hank needs exercise. I always miss a few shots for him.” 

Mike laughed. “You won’t have to as long as I’m here. I even suck at mini golf.” 

He grinned. “Hank’ll be glad to hear that.” 

When it was Mike’s turn, sure enough, the ball went out of bounds. 

Joe looked around slyly and called to Hank, “Go get it, Hank. Go get it.” 

Mike laughed with their whole body as the old dog returned with a ball in his mouth, and his tongue waving in the wind. 

“You two are too cute,” they said. 

Every hole continued like this. Joe’s ball got to the hole in a couple strokes, Mike continually missed, and Hank went to fetch the ball. 

“At this rate,” Joe joked at hole number 5. “We won’t get to hole 18 until I’m in a hole in the ground.” 

“Don’t look at me! I don’t even like golf. It’s you I like.” 

Hank titled his head at them.

“Don’t worry, Hank, I like you too.” 

“Do you want to get a lemonade?” Joe asked them. 

“If you want to keep playing, that’s alright with me.” 

“No, that’s alright. I’m tired of chasing Hank around trying to get the balls back anyway.” 

The pair returned to the main building where Joe bought them both a lemonade. 

“I had a good time,” Mike said. 

“You shot 7 or 8 over par on every hole.” 

Mike waved their hand. “I already knew I was bad at sports. I meant I liked spending time with you.” 

“Do you want me to drive you home?” he asked them. 

“No, that’s alright. You can walk me out though.” 

Joe held their waist as they walked, just as he had on the way in. It made Mike feel mushy on the inside.

“Uh, well, goodbye Joe,” Mike said. 

“This is the part where you’re supposed to kiss me,” Joe joked as he removed his arm from their waist.
