Speaking of men in fabric shops... it reminded me of this one, late middle aged guy I had in.

He was bragging about how amazing his wife was at sewing. How she could look a picture of a garment and reconstruct it from scratch without a pattern. How she could make anything and have it fit the person perfectly, she was so clever at it. How people didn't understand how impressive that was.

"Mmm" I agreed "it's engineering in another medium"

He got absolutely furious, disagreeing and immediately backtracking on how impressive what she did was. It's just an artistic talent. Nothing like engineering at all.

He loved it when it was a cute, feminine talent but god forbid she be as classically intelligent as him. Fucking prick.
