I sincerely love this fragrance.  It's not just an olfactory transposition of the scottish Highlands, it's more like to grab the entire mood of this lands. Some more mostly Memo:

Argentina by Memo Paris - almost pure rose - fresh and almost not sour, if there's any wood it's very much in the background. Pleasant and simple thing.

Granada by Memo Paris - very sweet white flowers but it's not syrupy which moves it seriously above for example Girl Rochas, though there's a single comparison to one of Scandals and I can guess where it comes from. I wouldn't say I need it, but I enjoyed it - I like that profile.

Inlé by Memo Paris - and another attempt to understand osmanthus and this time much more successful! I finally felt something peachy at the start and some apricots afterwards. I still feel that it's osmanthus and not actual fruits but it's finally pleasant - tea with apricot jam and some added herbs. Will return to it to see if I can enjoy it just as well on myself.

Lalibela by Memo Paris - so I expected this to be tooth-rotting, but it's very much not - it's completely unsweetened coconut milk with some somewhat generic flowers on the side. I surprisingly don't feel almost any vanilla. Interesting thing.

Madurai by Memo Paris - this has every jasmine ever but it's surprisingly almost unfelt - to be honest I have trouble describing this thing properly, but something on my table (with all the blotters) was giving a nice peachy sillage and I'm suspecting this was to thank for it. Also very interesting.

Erba Pura by Xerjoff - I heard so many bad things about this one that I just had to try it and... it's not bad at the start - vague fruit mix, but then it starts becoming somehow sharper and gets a very unpleasant undertone - maybe I can describe it as sweaty. And that was from the blotter - I heard it may be not great on some people's skin.

Irish Leather by Memo Paris - returned to this one and was a little disappointed... The start is great, if not especially leathery, with almost not bitter herbs and pine needles (juniper berries) but then it very soon became something akin to a male deodorant on my skin. After a long while, it calmed down a bit and some of the notes from the beginning became guessable again, but it was definitely not what I expected.

Reasons to end the monarchy: Charles Edition

Well it's the coronation so you know what it's time for.

The entire concept of a monarchy is actively undemocratic. The head of state should not be someone who is only in that position because they were born into a certain family.

Having a monarchy upholds classism as a specific family of great wealth and power are viewed as superior to others.

They stand for a history of racism and imperialism. This country has done some truly terrible things in its history and the monarchy are a symbol of that. In order to attempt to begin to undo the harm that we have done, we need to remove this symbol of oppression.

The royal family have previously lobbied the government to hide their own personal wealth. Despite this, we are obviously aware that they have a large amount of wealth.

Prince Charles has himself lobbied the government on a number of occasions. His 'black spider memos' show that he has repeatedly pressured ministers on a wide range of topics from the Iraq war to badger culling to alternative therapies. He has used his power to lobby the government on subjects that would affect him.

The monarch does not occupy a ceremonial role as is frequently claimed. Ministers and civil servants have to consult the monarch. Civil servants have to get the consent of the royals on pieces of legislation, which can cause delays on implementation.

Even if the monarch did occupy a purely ceremonial role, as a literal billionaire he wields a ridiculously high amount of power over people.

Windsor Castle brings in less money than Windsor Legoland does. The many castles that are owned by the royal family could be used to create spaces for the public to enjoy or to be used as a shelter for the homeless. The Louvre in Paris used to be house of the French monarchy and gets over twenty times the tourists. Edinburgh castle hasn't had the monarchy live in it for centuries and yet still brings in tourism.

Prince Andrew is widely known to be connected to Jeffrey Epstein; yet he has not had to face any repercussions for his actions despite blatantly lying when being asked about his actions. The royal family have defended him and prevented him from facing the consequences of his actions.

They cost around £334 million per year. This money could be used to help the poor, given to the NHS, to repair and build infrastructure, to support small businesses that are struggling, pretty much anything.

The royal household publishes a much lower figure about the cost of the royal family, so they are actively trying to cover up their cost.

Charles has had access to confidential Cabinet papers, undermining our democracy.

He has publicly championed alternative medicine and has repeatedly promoted it. He sent at least seven letters to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, that then shortly relaxed the rules governing the labeling of herbal products, ones he as part of Charles's Duchy Originals produces.

He lobbied the health secretary regarding greater provision of alternative treatments on the NHS.

In 2018, 46% of Britons wanted him to abdicate immediately after Elizabeth died. He’s barely wanted by the country even with the sheer amount of pro-monarchy propaganda going around. Charles specifically is very unpopular.

In order to speak to him, broadcasters had to sign a 15-page contract, which includes Clarence house attending the rough and fine cut edits of films and if unhappy can remove that contribution, as well as stipulating that all questions directed at him must be pre-approved and vetted by his representative.

His personal wealth is £1.8 billion. He inherited a large amount of this from Elizabeth, with it being exempt from inheritance tax. Having an immunity from this tax when others don’t is ridiculous.

The Duchy of Cornwall was named in the Paradise papers.

The coronation is going to cost £100 million during a cost of living crisis.

People have been banned from protesting Charles with official warning letters were sent to anti-monarchists.

Protestors who block roads, airports and railways could face an entire year behind bars. Locking yourself to others, objects or buildings could go to prison for six months and face an unlimited fine. Police are allowed to head off disruption by stopping and searching protestors that they suspect.

The public were encouraged to swear allegiance to the new King when he gets sworn in, this is a deeply disturbing suggestion.

He's a billionaire who's going to use the public's money to celebrate himself.

The monarch has sweeping immunity from many laws

He owns business parks and small rented cottages, six of the ten top residential homes, 285,000 acres of mineral rich land. He’s ridiculously rich in a country where so many people are facing extreme poverty.

So, I know Chlogami subtexts are definitely, wonderfully, apparently, hopefully gonna be a thing. But I wanted to share some Chlogami thoughts cos these two are kind of like opposite sides of the same coin.

A really quick & easy comparison is how both of them will got to an audition in fully kitted out, personalized gear, basically declare themselves the hottest shit and dare anyone to prove otherwise.

They also are both very much no hesitation, blunt people who can become intensely driven or focused on a subject or person very quickly and for reasons all their own.

Both have a strong competitive streak and no small iota of pride in everything from themselves to their families and reputation. Both are also heavily driven to seek the approval of a cold & aloof mother figure.

Also they are both very athletic, 8 years at Paris's most intense ballet school is not for nothing. Also they tend to be fairly fearless in regards to Akuma. Like Chloe will briefly panic but so long as she doesn't die right away she's just like, "Fuck you & the butterfly you rode in on" and Kagami is down to fight anything, anyway were anytime.

The big differences tend to come in a couple of notable ways too however:

One, their mothers, Tomoe at least got the memo that being a parent means raising a person to participate in society and while her expectations and treatment of Kagami are far from healthy they are nominally attainable. In contrast Audrey has zero interest & her expectations/desires are seemingly for Chloe to stop existing at best.

This gives Kagami focus and goals, while Chloe kind of just flounders.

Then there's a sort of base temperament angle, Kagami when stressed & upset tends to shut down and collapse inwards. While Chloe tends to melt down very externally.

Also I tend to feel both are kind of not great at social cues.

There's obviously other differences too, but yeah I feel they are sort of like, the kind of people who could meet and either hate one another intensely, be ready to make out after like one interaction, or have an extremely elaborate and drawn out rivals to lovers, rivals to mutual self destruction and eventual murder arc very easily.

Something fancy from the fancy store:

Sandalsun by Hermetica - I didn't think that it's really "nutty" - but it's very much hazelnut cream - full on Kinder Bueno - very very pleasant. After a while it fades mostly into vanilla cream - also pretty good and realistic and not too sweet, just a little less interesting. I think this is the lactonic hypostasis of sandal which adds to the creaminess.

Figfever by Hermetica - this is very fresh and juicy at the top but almost not sweet and then it becomes woody pretty quick. Do I feel most of those myriads of notes that are supposed to be there? No... It's very nice though.

Rosefire by Hermetica - well this is rose with a capital R - very intense, noticeable greenery and at the same time some creaminess in texture (I think people sometimes call it lipstick-like). Has the best longevity out of these three, turns much sweeter (still rose though) at the end.

Tubéreuse Merveilleuse by Caron - tried this one by complete accident - wasn't planning on any Caron, but I saw it nest to Hermetica and I couldn't pass it up (brand with a great history and all that) so tuberose it is. Very very nice tuberose with some slight spiciness and very noticeable ylang-ylang at the top and mostly just pure sweet tuberose at the bottom. Loved it.

Siwa by Memo Paris - this was on the testing list to answer the question "Why are you putting vanilla in my whiskey?" to which the answer is - they're not. It's mostly just vanilla and it's not favourite kind (that smells like a baked good with vanilla) but something closer to how you usually imagine a vanilla flavouring in inedible things to smell like. Not too unpleasant, but to my nose pretty cheap smelling...

Marfa by Memo Paris - this was supposed to be tuberose but you can waterboard me - I don't feel it there at all. If you asked me blindly I'd say osmanthus (that I don't like) but maybe it's just yellow flowers with citruses that give me that effect? I don't know. Didn't really enjoy that one.

Winter Palace by Memo Paris - I feel the tea here either... That's almost sad but it's mostly citruses - namely lemon - with some added sweetness (a lot of candidates for that here) and maybe some slight greenness at the start which disappears pretty quickly. Pleasant, but boring.

Tiger's Nest by Memo Paris - now this one, here we're talking. I heard people comparing it to Ambre Sultan and I've already heard several fragrances that are supposed to be very similar to it, so I wasn't expecting a surprise but I got one. This smells like a very old wood house or even a very old wood sauna - but it's not currently being warmed up - it's cold. There might be some herbs there - but they're not overpowering for sure. It even has some slight sourness for the dampness of that wooden house the furnace in which hasn't been warmed up in a while. Very very realistic thing - will definitely return to it.

Iberian Leather by Memo Paris - returning to this after a long long while and not for naught. On me it was slightly less bitter than on the blotter but still very bitter very very leather with herbs. Really loved it - it had great longevity (even something staying after the shower), some sillage (not too much though). Would love a decant.

Finally done! Hello everyone, and welcome to this full relaxing area.. Heavenly spa is placed in Tartosa on a 50x40 lot.. It's tree floor build with outside and inside pool, two saunas, two drink bars, coffee bar, private room for lover couples, gym, yoga room, sumba studio, massage room and icecream station.. I had to use a bunch of CC, otherwise this build would not look this beautiful.. Well, as they say, everything's bigger in Texas… I'm a junior partner in a large New York asset management firm. We take care of the high net worth clients. To get into our client file, you have to have over USD 100 million in free liquidity. Our clients are demanding. But we are the best. And we do everything for our customers. Really EVERYTHING!

When I took over the clients of a colleague who had retired a month ago, I thought Chuck Tex was a stage name. Until I had my first appointment with him. His record was more than impressive. Heir to old oil and cattle nobility. Classic career of the Texas oil barons. School in New England, studied in Paris, Oxford and Zurich, founded his first start-up company at the age of 20. And sold at 25 for USD 500 million. Now in his mid-30s, he had not yet inherited a cent from his family, but thanks to his excellent education and connections, he had already amassed a fortune on a par with that of his old man. I expected… Actually, I had no idea what I was expecting… But I certainly didn't expect this:

Chuck looked like a porn star. Or a marriage fraud. Or just like a man who I couldn't wait to throw me on the bed and fuck me mercilessly. His handshake was firm, but finely dosed just before the pain threshold. His gaze could certainly cut through steel plates. But I was a professional, I kept my composure. I briefly went through my network in my mind. I had a gay acquaintance who owned a number of bars and restaurants. And I also knew a good project developer. And one of my school friends was a hip interior designer. I smiled and said I probably had just the people he needed. Chuck smiled back. It made my heart stop. He didn't want anyone from my network. In his limousine, Chuck asked me if I had ever been to Texas. I answered in the negative. But the boots I was wearing looked authentic. Yeah, they were my pride and joy. But I wouldn't have ridden a bull yet. I shook my head and giggled like a schoolgirl. Chuck kneaded the bulge in his pants and said that I would definitely be fucked by a bull today. The car came to a halt in the second row in front of an old brick building. The walls were covered in high-quality graffiti.
