The main suspect in the Gilgo Beach serial killings has been charged of two more murders, going back to the 90s. This piece of shit named Red Heuermann has murdered at least 6 women, and there are possibly more yet to be discovered. He was first arrested in 2023. He had a wife and kids.
All of his victims were in sex work/prostitution/escorting, common victims for people like this.
I hope the media calls it was it is: femicide. Their names were Sandra Costilla, Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Jessica Taylor, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, and Amber Costello. They were people. They deserve to be here, while he doesn’t.
There were more bodies found in the area, but those have yet to be linked to him. I hope each victim of his is identified. I hope he receives punishment for each life he took. I hope they receive the proper burial he deprived them off. I hope they receive justice, even if it is so poorly delayed.

A Long Island architect was charged Friday with murder in the deaths of three of the 11 victims in a long-unsolved string of killings known as the Gilgo Beach murders after detectives pursuing a new lead say they matched DNA from a pizza he ate to genetic material found on the women’s remains. Rex Heuermann, who has lived for decades across a bay from where the remains were found, is charged with killing Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman and Amber Costello. He is also considered the prime suspect in the death of a fourth woman whose body was bound and hidden in thick underbrush along a remote beach highway, authorities said. Investigators have said over the years that it’s unlikely one person killed all 11 victims. Heuermann, 59, was arrested late Thursday amid a renewed investigation that first identified him as a suspect in March 2022, when detectives linked him to a pickup truck that a witness reported seeing when one of the victims disappeared in 2010.

MEGHAN TRAINOR at the 2022 American Music Awards on November 20th 2022 wearing custom MICHAEL COSTELLO
While I like the idea of this look, it ended up feeling a little tacky. I just think the craft man ship was poor. It’s a little too much neon sparkly pink. I liked the silhouette and thought it looked flattering on Megan, but it was a bit overwhelming.

Movie Review | Rogue (Bassett, 2020)
I don't know how high one's expectations can be for a Megan Fox lion action movie, but I think this has a few things going for it. One is Fox, who it turns out is pretty good at the whole action hero thing. I'll be honest, back during her heyday I was defiantly resistant to her charms, resenting the extent she was being pushed on audience at the time. But after finally seeing Jennifer's Body and learning she's carved out a new career for herself in DTV genre movies, I am willing to be won over by her. And while her physicality is sometimes off in a handful of scenes, she has a nicely authoritative and unforced presence that really works for her mercenary leader character.
Also of note is the movie's relative ruthlessness. Not only is a good chunk of Fox's team wiped out within the first few minutes, but we also get a traumatized human trafficking victim get gobbled up by a crocodile almost out of the blue. Okay, that sounds horrible when I put it like that, but you gotta see how terrible this croc looks. There is a certain charm in seeing terrible CGI animals mete out some serious ownage, which the movie milks for all its worth. The lion attacks here might as well feature the lion suit from Africa Screams with Abbott and Costello.
And I respect the extent to which M.J. Bassett treats this seriously. It's a double edged sword in that the stabs at gravitas sometimes grind the movie to a halt, but while the movie isn't oblivious to its limitations (see above re: the CGI animals, and also note the horrible cliff jump effect that the movie wheels out multiple times), it looks better than I expected (although there's some serious Global South colour scheme going on) puts some thought into how its premise can be mined for tension, and gets some nice chemistry from its crusty band of mercs. There's a version of this movie that's shitty and halfassed and treats the animal attacks as lazy punchlines, and thankfully that's not the one we got.

Accused Gilgo Serial Killer Indicted In Murders Of 2 More Women, Including Previously Unknown Victim –New York City reporting
A meticulous planning document for his alleged kills was seized at his home during a recent search, according to the bail application; Rex Heuermann now stands accused of murdering 6 women since the early 1990s
The 60-year-old architect was first arrested in July 2023 in the deaths of three of the so-called "Gilgo Four," whose remains were found in burlap sacks along a remote stretch of Ocean Parkway in 2010. Heuermann was later charged with the fourth.
The bodies of Maureen Brainard-Barnes Amber Lynn Costello, Melissa Barthelemy and Megan Waterman were discovered during a search for a missing escort, Shannan Gilbert, who later was found dead in a marsh. Her case was ruled an accidental drowning, though attorneys for her family maintained the autopsy was inconclusive.

Unraveling the Mystery: The Rex Heuermann Murder Case
Rex Heuermann, a former architectural consultant, found himself at the center of a chilling murder investigation in 2023. He was arrested for the unsolved serial killings of women along a New York beach road, a case that had baffled investigators for over a decade. Heuermann was charged with three counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, and Amber Costello, which occurred between 2009 and 2010. Additionally, he was considered a prime suspect in the murder of Maureen Brainard-Barnes. Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, Heuermann remains in custody without bail since his arrest.
The investigation into Heuermann's alleged involvement in the killings intensified in 2022, prompting a closer examination of evidence. Key findings, including DNA matches and digital evidence from internet searches, linked Heuermann to the crimes. Subpoenas revealed over 200 internet searches related to the Gilgo murders, along with disturbing searches for violent and explicit content. Investigators also traced burner phone numbers and email accounts associated with Heuermann to inquiries about the victims and their families. With renewed scrutiny and fresh evidence, authorities worked tirelessly to bring closure to the families of the victims and seek justice for the lives lost. To delve deeper into this haunting case, readers can explore additional details by clicking on the link provided. Rex Heuermann

Rex Heuermann, the New York man awaiting trial in a string of killings more than a decade ago, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a fourth woman who was among victims whose remains were discovered by investigators on Long Island in 2010. Heuermann is now charged with murder in the killing of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, whose remains were found near Gilgo Beach in 2010, according to court documents released Tuesday. Brainard-Barnes was 25 years old when she was last seen in July 2007. He has pleaded not guilty. Heuermann was taken into custody in July and charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the killings of Melissa Barthelemy in 2009, and Megan Waterman and Amber Costello in 2010. He pleaded not guilty to those charges last year. The women became known as the “Gilgo Four” after their remains were found near Gilgo Beach within a few days of each other in 2010.
