Spencer Reid X Teen ADHD daughter reader
Request : Hey can you do a Spencer Reid x daughter!reader. She has ADHD and she's been hyper focused on her work. She hasn't had a break, so Spence has to force her to have a break/rest. They watch the doctor who for the rest of the night, maybe?
Third person pov...
Spencer Reid had always been an amazing father. While he was often focused on his work as an agent with the BAU, he had plenty of time and energy left over to devote to his daughter Y/N but lately, Spencer had noticed something different in his daughter's behavior.
The teen had been more focused on her schoolwork than ever before, and he could see that it was taking a toll on her. She had been snapping more than usual at him and it felt like there had been a heavy weight in the Reid household.
Currently he was on his way out the door to work but took a detour to his daughters room, rhe man poked his head into his daughters room to say goodbye when he saw how tired she was, the teen had passed out at her desk.
Her usual happy smiling face full of life now looks like a corpse he sees while on a case, she had large purple bags under her eyes body slouched, her books stacked left and right with notebooks and pens out, she had about 6 empty cups sitting around her.
Spencers heart pains at the state his daughter was in, tiptoeing the Agent wlaks over to his sleeping daughter grabs a blanket from her made bed and gently drapes it over her slumped shoulders.
He then kissed her head and walked out of the room, he had to do something to get her to relax from her studies, as proud as he was he wanted her to be healthy.
He knew she hadn't been sleeping, currently she was studying for the entrance exams for medical school, since she was young Y/N wanted to help people like her dad.
Of course Spencer knew she could do it but you always need a break even he does sometimes, with Y/N on his mind the Agent leaves the house and gets to work.
He sighs as he puts his bag down on his chair hoping the case is local this time, the man then slouched in his chair, behind him his team watch their resident Genius.
JJ, Derek and Emily all shared concerned looks, Spencer wasn't usually that tired or sighed that loud when he gets to work, so it must of been something not work related.
Not even 5 minutes later Derek, Emily and JJ are surrounding his desk, Derek puts his arm on Spencers chair making the man look up at his team, Emily stands in front while JJ stands behind next to Derek.
"Hey guys" he says, this gets a worried look from JJ while Emily and Derek watched.
"Okay what's up Spence you look depressed" Says JJ asking thr question they all wanted to know, Derek shakes Spences shoudlers and the man answers her.
"It's Y/N" he mutters, Emily then slams her hand on the table. "Hold up what about N/N is my god daughter okay!" She exclaims making the Dad laugh.
It was a happy lesson laugh more like he a he exhaled than a laugh, but still it got the attention of thr others.
Of course his daughter was loved amongst the team. "You know she's been busy studying for her exams to get into medical school" he says the guys nod their heads.
"Well im worried, she hasn't been her self lately, she's been snapping at me, and spends every second studying not sleeping, this morning I saw her passed out she looked like a corpse, what do I do?" He says voice in pain at the state of his daughter.
JJ, Emily and Derek all give the young man sympathetic looks as he pours out everything that he's bottled up for weeks. JJ then puts a hand on his shoulder making the genius look up.
"Well Spence, you could do something together that you both love, that might get Y/N to relax" says JJ, suddenly the man is sitting up.
"That's a great idea JJ!" He exclaims smiling larger than ever, suddenly Hotch can be heard from the round table. "We've got a case!" Yells Boss man, the four agent then get ready to leave.
Once the case was solved Spencer had a plan, it was the weekend and he didn't have work so he decided to set up a movie weekend.
He and Y/N would watch Dr who together as it was their favourite show to watch since Y/N was a baby, they always had fun rewatching it and jsut having fun like a normal father and daughter.
That Saturday morning he set his paln in to action, the genius had coaxed Y/N to take a break from her studies, and he had a surprise lined up.
He and Y/N had both always been Doctor Who fans, and he proposed a warm and cozy night in watching the show together.
At first, Y/N seemed too tired to focus on anything besides her work. But as the show went on, Spencer could see the tension slowly starting to diminish from his daughter's face.
By the end, Y/N looked more relaxed than she had in weeks. They even ended up having a lively discussion about the plot points and character arcs as they finished the episode.
After that night, Spencer tried to make it a point to have more fun, family-oriented activities with his daughter. Even if it was hard to pull her away from her studies, forcing her to take a break and enjoy Doctor Who together was the perfect reminder that even overwhelmed students need a little break.
Once that fun weekend was over Y/N was alot more relaxed and let her Dad help her study for the exams, he always made her get more sleep and have fun with him, now they always have a daily weekend movie marathon if Spencer does have a case.
The end!
Hope you liked this oneshot!

All the ways lead to you - part 1
Characters: Aemond Targaryen, Inara Maegyr (Original female character) in a Modern HOTD AU
Warnings : FICTIONAL PLOTLINE. Established relationship. Me swooning over Aemond Targaryen and writing this🤭 Inara being a sweet and awesome girl.
Note: This post and that a mutual of mine (@/elegantsplendour) remarked that this fic series has 'Succession' vibes. I wasn't aware of the show when I wrote this last year, and I still haven't watched it. Any resemblance to its plot is purely coincidental. Everything that is going to be re-posted here, comes from my delulu mind.
Inara's thoughts and a little background about her are in italics.
Word count - 1.2k
"You know me, mom, I can't just start working in some random hospital as a junior doctor," Inara spoke to her mother on phone, cradling it between her ear and shoulder as she watered her kitchen plants on a Saturday afternoon, “I am trying to find a job where I can practice both medicine and my art.”
"Where on earth will you find such a job, Inara?" Her mom questioned disapprovingly. "You will soon be a licensed doctor and able to practice medicine. You should start with a clinician job and save up for your MD tuition."
"Let me at least try, Mum. Maybe I can join some makeup manufacturing labs or intern with those big-shot skincare providers."
Inara heard her mom sigh and tut in response to her plans, a reaction she was quite used to by now. Yet, the conviction in her voice didn't falter as she continued, "I will definitely enroll in an MD program. Don't worry.”
As long as Inara could remember, she had always loved makeup. Even as a child, she would rummage through her mom's makeup kits and spend hours in front of the mirror, painting her own face and sometimes her mother's.
Her parents always wished to see her in the white coat of a doctor - a dream she shared with them. Cracking the medical entrance exams straight out of high school was a cakewalk, her sharp intellect paving the way for her.
Despite plenty of medical schools in Essos, the allure of studying abroad was too strong and liberating. The prestige of the renowned Citadel Medical School in Westeros had captured her attention long ago, and securing a seat there felt like destiny fulfilled.
While medical school required her to focus entirely on classes and books, her creative side yearned for exploration. Her love for makeup never faded, and after dedicating half her life to studying, she decided to follow her heart. A heart that always danced between two worlds, two passions, yearning to embrace both simultaneously.
As soon as she adjusted to her new life on a foreign land, she enrolled into a weekend certification course near her medical school. And, thus began her journey towards becoming a rare combination of a licensed medical practitioner and a trained makeup artist.
Days blurred into nights as she balanced the demands of medical studies with the pursuit of her passion.
Six years flew by in a whirlwind of learning and she was now nearing the end of her curriculum. After the sixth and last month of her hospital training and formal graduation, she would be a licensed medical practitioner. Thanks to her dedication to both medicine and makeup, she now stood as a certified makeup artist, with an expertise in skin care and prosthetics.
After freelancing a bridal makeup assignment a couple of months ago, she decided to take a detour from a predictable route towards advanced degrees or clinical positions straight after college. She planned to give herself a year of exploration into other career options before enrolling into an MD in Dermatology. And so she made up her mind on freelancing or finding a job that could extend her stay in Westeros, thereby allowing her to save up for her MD.
"Anyway, you've been so busy with everything else, you haven't even thought about finding someone. You're not getting any younger!" Her mom steered the course of the conversation to the topic she dreaded the most.
Oh boy, here it comes!
The inevitable discussion about her biological clock and society's expectations for single women was about to begin.
"Mom, please, I'm twenty four, not forty four!"
"Yes, and about time you started thinking of settling down!"
Rolling her eyes, Inara let out a sharp sigh.
"I have chores to do, mum. I gotta go," she cut the conversation short, trying her best to hide her rising impatience, “Bye! Love you!”
"Fine, But please think about what I said. Love you. ”
After ending the call, Inara continued staring at her phone's home screen. Smiling faces of her family stared back.
Her mom’s words still lingered in her mind, as she made herself a cup of chamomile tea and settled herself infront of her laptop.
She sipped her tea, smiling and recalling her mom's statement about doing tons of different things at a time. She had always loved to hustle. And, she loved how chimeric her career goals were. It wasn't an easy road, but she was determined to make it work somehow. Career satisfaction had always been her first priority; finding someone to date or marry, wasn't.
Inara's attention snapped back to her laptop screen, her eyes widening as she noticed the fourth and fifth unread emails from the top. Both arrived around the same time from the job search website she had signed up for.
The subject of the first email read:
Requirement of an assistant make-up artist on an upcoming TV Show.
The second one read:
Requirement of a physician / medical officer(s) on a TV production.
Universe works in the strangest of ways. All you have to do is ask.
She quickly opened both emails in separate tabs. They were from the human resources department of a television production house in King’s Landing. A period drama based on mythological history was in pre-production, and the HR team was hiring people on contract basis.
As someone who rarely watched television,or movies, she chuckled at the thought of working on a TV production house. Nevertheless, she decided to give it a try. With a few quick clicks, she accessed the links for both the positions and uploaded her resume. As she crafted cover letters for each position, wishful thoughts surfaced again. She let out another exhilarating chuckle, as a wave of nervous excitement crawled down her spine.
How fun and cool it would be, if I could somehow do both the jobs simultaneously.
-
A week later, as Inara was on her way home from the hospital where she interned, her phone rang. Seeing a number with the King’s Landing code, she gasped.
With her heart alight with anticipation, she answered the call. Clearing her throat, she adopted her sweetest and most professional tone before greeting the caller.
"Hi, Dr. Maegyr, this is Stannis calling from the HR department at Red Keep Productions. We've shortlisted your resume for the opening we posted about. Will you be available for an interview next week?"
"Hello, Mr. Stannis. Sure, I...I will be available!" She tried her best to mask the excitement in her voice. "Uh, I applied for two positions. May I know which one I have been shortlisted for?"
"Dr. Maegyr, your profile is one of the most interesting we've received so far. You have been called to interview for both positions. I can't say with certainty right now if you'll be hired for one or both roles as that will be decided based on your performance in the interviews." She could sense his smile through the phone.
"Thank you," she mouthed, looking up, her amber eyes sparkling with gratitude.

Defying the Doubts
💥Since this exercise was done we all walked back to the locker rooms. We changed out of our sweaty clothes and took a shower afterward. I kept thinking about the hot-headed blonde’s words. It's funny how he has a lot to say about me, even though I don’t even know his name. Once we’re all done the class meets up once again to go back to classroom 1B. The teacher goes over how starting from tomorrow we will be placed in dorms.
💥I’ve seen the dorm building before, it's huge. It was built after mass destruction left by former battles between heroes and villains. The building is right next to class 1-A’s building. I have a lot to pack when I get home. I look over at Kendo and Shio, and they look back at me. Maybe they know something about the blonde boy who insulted me. I walk over to them and wave slightly.
💥“Do you guys happen to know anything about that blonde explosion boy from class 1-A?” I ask.
💥They both stare at me and blink a couple of times before nodding.
💥Kendo is the first to speak up, “Yeah his name is Katsuki Bakugo. He scored highly on the entrance exam. Probably one of the best students in that class.”
💥Shio chimes in after, “Yeah his quirk is very destructive and flashy. Why do you wanna know about him? Do you like him?”.
💥A slight smirk lies on Shio’s face. My face turns into a disgusted impression. Him out of all people? No, never.
💥“What no! Completely the opposite. He insulted me today and told me I wouldn’t make it as a hero with my type of quirk. He’s such an ass!”, I yell out.
💥They laugh at my aggressiveness but nod and agree with my comment about him being an asshole.
💥“You're completely right. He’s not the best communicator from what every one has seen. Don’t take his comment to heart, it isn’t true. Your quirk is very capable and you can bring people back to life! That is more than useful” " she assured.
💥I nod and smile at her kind words, “You're right, thanks.”
💥She nods and gives me the “you're welcome” look.
💥The final bell rings and classes are now over. I am one of the last people out the door, as I'm still trying to shove my books into my bag. I start walking out the front until I notice someone familiar standing at the entrance on their phone. Its Bakugo. I groan as I get closer to the entrance.
💥“Doesn’t he know how to pull his pants up!”, I mumbled underneath my breath.
Bakugo must have heard me as he looked over his shoulder and looked at me.
💥“You said what now, Extra?”, He questions.
💥His face is cold and his red eyes are piercing into my soul.
💥“Nothing, mind your business”, I shrug him off.
💥He rolls his eyes and his expression is serious and aggressive.
💥“You said I need to pull my pants up. If you care so much why don’t you say it to my face”, He demanded.
💥I rolled my eyes at him and his cold demeanor, “Okay. Pull your pants up.”
💥He smirks and leans in closer to me, “Okay, you're confident. But don’t get too cocky, you're not gonna make it in this course. Someone like you with a quirk like that isn’t gonna get anywhere. Should’ve applied to nursing school, you’d fit in there. But here? You don’t fit in. Maybe trade your soul or whatever your power does with someone else to get a better power.”
💥My eyes widen at his words. He smirks at me again and that tells me he means it. I feel a wave of anger come over me. Tears that I will keep hidden until he walks away. Then he starts walking away from me. I stand there and clutch my bag in my hand.
💥“You asshole!”, I scream at him.
💥He can hear me but decides to ignore me, and it pisses me off even more. When he’s out of my sight, the tears stream down my face. Damnit. I can’t let him get to me but it does, and it hurts. They keep rolling down my face until I get home. I stand in front of the door wipe my face with my uniform sleeve, and put on a smile. I walk in and greet everyone before heading upstairs to my room. The dinner that’s being made downstairs fills the air. It's delicious. I went into my closet and pulled out my suitcase. I pack all my outfits and spare uniforms.
💥My jewelry, perfumes, and my makeup. I sit on my vanity. There's a younger picture of me framed and set on top of my vanity. I stare at it and smile. That’s my motive. She’s my motive. I'm my motive. To not give up, and become a great hero. Suddenly, all the things Bakugo said to me didn't matter.

studyblr intro (rip T_T)
hi hi, I'm axy! [you can call me tazz, or axy, i'm okay with both :)] I'm entirely new to the studyblr and a little overwhelmed but I'm glad to be here! about me:
he/they
south asian (indian)
pisces
studying for an entrance exam (specifically NEET for medical courses) which includes Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
pretty sure I have ADHD and executive dysfunction
will offer up my soul for a Monster energy drink
really like the color yellow and pink, I think they're neat :]
interests, hobbies and everything in between:
writing (fanfiction, huge procrastinator but trying my best, unhealthy obsession with metaphors)
drawing (amateur but I'm trying to learn,)
reading (mostly fanfiction, but open to every genre and planning to branch out from YA)
music (unapologetic swiftie, but I do listen to tons of other artists)
youtubers (so many, but I usually watch Valkyrae in the background while doing literally anything)
why did I make this blog?
for motivation! I have like 9 months (including July) left until I have to give my entrance exam and that's a pretty long time. making a blog was dynamic and low-key enough to fuel me
to keep track of things! I'm very scatterbrained and absentminded, and despite having like two different facilities to remember stuff, it doesn't hurt to have another!
my best friend @somniphobicfox is a force of nature who also has a studyblog (@a-fox-studies) and I can't say no to her
things to expect:
updates on my progress with studying and random rants about the subject matter
pictures of my study space, the books I'm reading, the music I'm listening to and my step count.
studyblrs that inspire me:
pretty new here, so I only know a few, @a-fox-studies @notetaeker @problematicprocrastinator @ckmstudies @rambles-in-stem @thestudywithmeblog @studydiariesofaru @math-markers
Thank you for reading, and I hope my posts are consistent and able to inspire!! I'm sure I'll have a lovely time in this cozy community :) (I'm claiming the tag #axythings for my posts and my mainblog is @tazlory where I'm chaotic as shit)

I see @eponymous-rose doing these sometimes and I've always thought it was so much fun, so here's a Day in the Life of a clinical Associate Professor™. For reference, I've been seeing patients & teaching at my current university since finishing my residency almost a decade (!!!!!) ago.
9:30 - 10:00 - Precious precious office hours, spent answering emails from students, colleagues, and a guest speaker from a national organization I'm trying to coordinate an event for in two weeks. Everything's lined up except the venue (all our regular lecture halls are booked), and of course we discover this just outside his window to refund his airline tickets. Rats.
10:00 - 12:00 - Clinical lab! I'm coursemaster for two complex lecture/lab courses in the spring (protip: never let admin do this to you), so right now I spend most of my week in the classroom. Friday AMs are my advanced procedures lab, & today the students are doing intradermal and subcutaneous injections of the forearm and eyelid. This course can be really scary for them, so I go to a lot of effort to get them mentally and emotionally prepped, practicing approach and needle manipulation, etc. All of them do wonderfully, and even after cleanup and taking the biohazard bag down to disposal, I'm out on time.
12:00-1:00 - Guest faculty candidate lecture! Our full-time faculty has been down by about five people for a few years, and we also have three more of our remaining full-timers out on medical leave until late February, so we are hurting for help. This applicant gives a phenomenal talk on diversity and optometric scope across the several continents she's taught in over the last twenty years. It's an extraordinary talk and I honestly learn more geography than I expected.
1:00 - 2:30 - Lecture! Advanced procedures lecture to the third-year class, usually the only barrier between them and their weekend. I really like today's lecture and it goes well, and even the chronic dozers in the side seats stay awake.
2:30 - 2:45 - Intended to be an interview/tour with the faculty applicant, except here comes the first wrench. Just as she gets to my office, the colleague delivering the speaker lets me know she's having tech trouble with her Zoom-in guest lecturer and also there's a very upset student in the hall outside the classroom. I go down with her right away; student is okay, just got some very bad news, and when I'm sure they're settled with their friends & support system I help the colleague with the tech.
2:45-3:10 - Tour finally happens! The students we encounter are chipper and cheerful (not always the case in practical season!).
3:10-4:00 - Meeting with my clinic coordinator to prep for next week's practicals. My other big course this semester caps with a high-stakes clinical entrance exam; in essence, the students must perform a complete, independent eye examination from start to finish, and they can't enter clinic with "real" patients until they pass. The setup & scheduling for this practical (which runs over three weeks) is probably the most complicated logistical nightmare of my year. However, my coordinator is amazing, and within the hour she has a detailed list of both her tasks and mine and will report back as each prep step is done.
4:00-5:00 - Desperately trying to finish this schedule, answer my most urgent calls from patients, and finish some time-sensitive grading. Another colleague comes by and asks what I thought of the guest speaker, and when I say I didn't get much time in my interview with her, she suggests I tag along to the faculty dinner with her tonight at 5:45. A fantastic idea! I'll just wear what I have on, yeah?
The faculty dinner is at a five-star steakhouse. I'm wearing scrubs and a pullover.
It's okay, I have time to make it home and change! I can make it!
5:15 - I accidentally overwrite 90% of my completed schedule with an old, mostly blank copy, and don't realize it until after saving multiple times (I was on a different tab in the spreadsheet).
5:15 - 5:45 - Meticulously recreate the schedule as quickly as I can. I've already emailed out some assignments to the students, so I can't start over from scratch (which would have honestly been faster). Finally finish & send out the details to needed parties.
5:45 - 6:35 - race home, feed the dog, change into slacks and my favorite blazer, race out to the steakhouse.
6:35 - 8:30 - I arrive just before the salads come out, hallelujah! I have the best steak I've ever eaten in my life, as well as have a fantastic conversation with the candidate and the other faculty. The time honestly flies by, and when I realize what time it is I'm feeling very guilty about leaving the dog. Still, I'm sure she'll be a fantastic fit for the program, and it's honestly a relief to have my questions about some of her experience answered.
8:50 - home at last, at last!
8:51 - I discover my fly has been unzipped all night.
8:52 - 9:00 - I indulge in paroxysms of shame until I rationalize that the restaurant was incredibly dim, I was sitting the whole time, and my undies are also black. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine.
9:00 - now - hot bath, a book of poetry, and a double bourbon. After today, I feel like I've earned it.

Okay so this was inspired by me going to hockey tonight. My physics buddy’s a hockey player, so one thing lead to another and here i am at 1am typing this up. Imagine this with me:
A classmate/friend of the nerds (affectionally calling the Lab coat au ghouls this hehe) is the star player for the hockey team. He invites them to go because its their biggest game of the season (they're playing their biggest rival). They’ve never been to a game before because they’re all studying, but maybe Swiss goes “we should go, it could be good for us! we’ll study before the game, and then just enjoy the night!” so everyone agrees, and they go to the game. They realize how fun they are and they get to see their classmate kick some serious ass on the ice.
Following this night, the nerds agree to keep going to games and using them as their night off cause a game every few weeks doesn't hurt. Their friend ends up giving them passes to hang with the team and get discounted jerseys and merch. He sees how much fun they’re having yelling and screaming (and they also seem to be less stressed while still maintaining their grades and study routines).
ajdhdhd THE NERDS I LOVE IT!
i tried adding gh like ghumblr often does with words…. but gherds sounds like the medical condition so we’re staying with nerds
ps : i am apparently incapable of writing dialogues… only rambles… also i know shit abt hockey and luci gave me the green light to have terzo as the hockey player 🙃 but ofc any mistakes are my own and if you see them no you dont…
and on that note, here we have
The Hockey Tradition
Every students, professors, staffs, even guests at the university know that The Diner Three across the street is the best to get lunch or dinner and whatever, along with Caféine for coffee runs and breakfast or snacks. Aether, Mountain, Rain, Zephyr, and Dew regularly get together in one of the two during lunch breaks ever since their first year studying there, they’re all familiar with the regular workers and owners of both places.
Especially Terzo, the diner’s owner, who maybe has too much time on his hands that not only does he run the diner, taking Theology courses ‘for the giggles‘ (his words), he’s also the star player for the local hockey team.
They first knew he played hockey when, during a very intense study session for their exam season in third semester, Terzo invited them to a game, their biggest game this season, because he saw the ghouls were stressed and ‘need to get their noses out of the books and maybe go support your favourite diner owner’.
Zephyr immediately agreed, having had enough of studying, but the others were doubtful. Though after some convincing from Zephyr and the biggest saddest wettest puppy eyes from Terzo, they finally caved, agreeing to get together for a short study session before going to the game, the perfect compromise.
During the game they found out how much fun it is, even though none of them knew much about hockey, but they’re there to support Terzo! Just randomly yelling Terzo’s name or booing whenever something not good happens to Terzo’s team. After the game they waited for Terzo near the entrance because they wanted to thank him for the invite, it was a very nice change and a welcome distraction during the stressful time.
Since then Terzo would invite them every time his team is playing, even gave them special passes that give them discounts on jerseys and merchandises and whatnots, access to the special viewing box, and even his autograph (yay). When they asked him why, he just said they’re one of the reasons his diner is never empty, and he’d like to do some nice things to treat his ghoul friends.
The ghouls all agree that going to the hockey games are really fun and does wonders for the mental health. Especially the first time they saw Professor Omega during one of the games holding an ‘I 🖤 Terzo’ sign, which descended into late night gossip sessions in one of their apartments.
The two were in the early courting stage at the time, as they found out much later. Years later on Omega’s legal birthday, the ghouls all chipped in and had the picture of Omega holding the sign printed out in several different sizes and gave it to him and Terzo, one even has those cheesy heart and glitters and whatnots made using editing apps, courtesy of Dewdrop, who, along with Aether, just can’t stop teasing their boss whenever a game’s coming up and they’re all making plans to go together.
#self patting on my back bcs i love that cafe name#and i have no idea what to name the diner#also terzomega is peeking in#ghost hc#luci#my hcs#papa terzo#why is terzo studying theology? fuck if i know#lab coat au#bex keysmash

Snippets from the longfic I've been tinkering with for ages and have still not made work in a way I would be happy to write. Tentative title is The Revisionist. Case-fic, angst-fest, pining galore... set after the series ends. Jane wants one last case with Maura and comes to regret it.
~~
Maura's entrance is announced by the muffled sound of heels across carpet. Jane stands from her crouch to make room for her to get close to the body.
Maura betrays almost nothing, in a professional mood that forces humanity out as best as possible because otherwise this job gets too much. But there's something about the way she's holding her mouth that means this one's getting to her, which means this is one of those times that Jane needs to put herself in the autopsy room, a distracting force so Maura won't get too in her head. It means Jane should show up on Maura's porch later and act like it's her who needs comfort tonight.
She's hit now with a bitter strike of loss. Who's gonna take care of Maura when she's not around, someone who won't hover and worry and hug like her mother always tried to in times it would make Maura skittish to be touched by any hands but Jane's? Who would make sure Maura was okay when she didn't want to admit she wanted company, didn't want to ask and risk sounding needy?
Jane resolves to call every night, no matter what, be ready to switch to video at the slightest hitch in a voice, as Maura takes careful stock of the body.
"I can't estimate time of death here," Maura says finally, voice measured and even. "I'll need to do the autopsy first."
Maura finally meets Jane's eyes. "Do you have an ID?"
"No," Jane says. "Nothing on her. Anything you can tell me before I canvass?"
"There should be more blood on the victim," Maura says, leaning further over the body. "Look at the spray, how none of it is on her face. The blood might've been wiped off. I'll look for traces of solvents that might've been used. If we're lucky, fibres."
"Thanks," Jane says, taking a step back. "Killer was really angry. How'd he find the calmness to clean up after himself? And why just her face? You think he knew her?"
"I can't possibly tell. I'm gonna let them get her back to the lab, okay?"
Jane nods dutifully, softening her eyes in a way Maura can read as reassurance. They've become fluent in each other. Maura gives an almost imperceptible nod of her head and walks out of the room as if unbothered.
~~
"Are you doing the autopsy tonight?"
"In the morning," Maura says. "Just an external exam for now, get everything processed."
Jane nods. "You look like something's off about it, though."
"Surgery," Maura says softly. "She has indicators of cosmetic surgery. Look at this scar under the chin. It's where chin shaving would be done. There are also indications of filler."
"So you're upset because a stranger didn't like her face?"
"No, Jane," Maura says. "I'm upset because these scars are fresh. The swelling must have just recently gone down."
"Are you saying the killer did surgery on her?"
"You know I can't say that, Jane," Maura says. "I can tell you the technique is slightly antiquated. It wouldn't likely be done this way by a recent graduate of the last five or six years. And it's a little less precise than I'm used to seeing in medical books. It wouldn't be out of the question."
"Fuck, that's sick," Jane says. "That's deranged."
Maura doesn't even correct her language. "Dental records might help us see when her jaw was altered. And I've sent swabs of her face to check for solvent and any trace off for processing already."
~~
Maura leans against the window, remembers it's unsafe, (car safety wasn't even tested on women) and sits up straight again, rolling her skull back into the headrest. She's drained. Jane drives carefully, tapping her non-driving foot in a staccato rhythm that only makes Maura sleepier as her breaths elongate into four counts. But she doesn't want to go to bed. Her fatigue is at war with the potential loss of Jane. She swallows hard at the remembrance of Jane's words on video, wondering when she ever got the chance to record it. It'd been so sweet, and Jane had met her eyes in a way that told her it was for her. Mostly for her. It had made her stomach clench.
Maura'd done her own video after washing the body for the autopsy the next day. Kent had returned as she was finishing and helped her put it in cold storage for them to pull out in the morning. She'd paced her office, unsure what to say and Kent had told her to say what's in her heart. But her heart just thundered a pulse of Jane's name, over and over.
"You woke something up in me that I thought wasn't there at all. This ability to connect, to love and be loved both openly and entirely. And I love you. I am willing to speculate, just this once, that I couldn't stop if I tried."
Maura, for the first time, was glad there was so much ambiguity in the word love. And yet still she felt transparent, felt like Kent could read it on her, see exactly how it is she loved Jane.
"How was that?"
"Good"
"I'm really sad." And she had felt deeply hollow. So hollow that she went and cancelled her plane ticket. She had wanted to avoid watching Jane leave by booking her trip to begin before Jane had to go. She could spare a few days witn her to not have to see her walk away from everything that held them together and that lingering… posiibility that Maura had little belief was something she felt alone.
But now they pull up to Maura's driveway. Jane shifts the car into park and Maura watches her arm flex. Her mouth goes dry with a want to ask her inside, to ask her to stay, protect her with those muscled arms. But she won't ask.
"Thanks for driving me home," she says instead. "I was uncomfortable driving at that estimated blood alcohol content."
"You're good, Maur," Jane says, stepping out of the car with Maura.
They head up the stairs together and maybe Maura won't have to ask at all. Maura unlocks the door and steps in, Jane following after and locking and bolting the door. She goes off to put her kit belt in the gun safe. Watching that, how Jane still has it, makes her think. How long is Jane extending her work? It never really made sense for Jane to leave anyway. If she wanted safe, there were safe job positions in Boston. Her family was Boston, her whole life. But still, she wants to leave everything to start again, alone, somewhere new.
Part of Maura has to cover up the instinct to believe that Jane is trying to get away from her. Maybe they spent too much time together. Maybe she was limiting her from the life she actually wanted. Maybe she's noticed the way Maura just can't keep her eyes off her sometimes.
"Are you planning to stay until this case is solved?" Maura asks lightly, trying to curb the hope from the question.
~~
Maura gets ready for bed in contemplatory silence. But then Jane knocks, dressed in pyjama pants and a tank top.
"Goodnight," Jane says.
"Come here," Maura says, her heart betraying her with its fierce beat.
She hugs Jane, lets herself be held, and the horrors of that day, slowly creeping in in the dark, finally start to blur at the edges. She breathes easier in Jane's arms. Feels so safe.
"Can I… ?" Jane asks.
Stay. She knows that's what Jane's asking just by how soft and scared it sounds. One of the only things that scared Jane was asking for a vulnerable moment of intimacy. Maura nods against her, then exits her embrace, pulling her by the hand towards the bed and flicking up the sheets on her side as invitation while she slips into the bathroom to finish getting prepared.
Clean and moisturized and brushed, Maura slips into her own side of the bed. "Can I turn off the lights?"
"Yeah," Jane says.
Maura does. "Night, Jane."
"Goodnight."
Maura can feel Jane's fierce warmth already and it lulls her towards sleep. She knows she's going to wake up with those arms wrapped protectively around her. But they never do while she's awake.

There's Three of You?! Pt. 15
Part 2 of this crossover-based arc. Hope you enjoy!
Warnings: foul language, might be some medical inconsistencies.
CHAPTER 15
The worry hadn’t diminished at all since I heard the news on Herrmann, and apparently now Zanetti was involved in that mess too, so I took my distance, focusing instead on Jessica and her unprogressive stay at Med.
At some point, Ms. Goodwin came to the ED to talk to Ethan about Jessica, I had managed to not be called for it, until I saw Severide and Jay make an entrance to the hospital. Jay had a bag with him.
“How is she?” asked Jay, I walked over to my boss and the two newest guests in our territory.
“The same. It turns out she was on chemo.” said Ms. Goodwin.
“What do you guys know about her?” I asked, they all turned to me.
“Not a lot at this time.” said my brother, looking at Goodwin and then me.
“That's all that was salvaged from the scene.” said Severide, looking at the bag Jay had just raised a little so we could see.
“That's her personal belongings– a couple of books, receipts.” said Severide.
“We processed them, didn't find anything useful.” said Jay.
“Hey, Daniel, why don't you take a look at this?” Ms. Goodwin asked the psychiatrist.
“Never know what you might find.” said Dr. Charles while taking the bag and opening it. “A lot of receipts. Organized. Getting ready for tax season.” he added.
“Guys?” Erin said, calling everyone’s attention to her as she walked to us. “Forensics just came in. They only found her prints at the scene. There's no signs of foul play. All the evidence is pointing to suicide.” she added, I was confused.
Then Jay saw someone behind me and, after hugging me, excused himself. I turned to see who had called his attention, only to see Will standing there.
JAY’S P.O.V
“Hey.” I said to my older brother.
“What's up?” he asked, holding an iPad with, what I assume, is a patient file.
“Can I ask you a doctor question?” I asked him.
“Sure, come on.” he answered, nodding his head to the side and I followed him a little bit down the ED floor, away from anyone who could eavesdrop.
“Um, Herrmann.” I said, as a way to get on topic.
“Yeah.” Will said, as a way for me to know he was listening.
“If he'd come in on your watch, would you have waited so long before doing anything?” I asked, he looked to the side.
“That's a tough call.” He said, looking at someone or something behind me. “It's been a while since my surgical residency.” then he turned to look at me. “And, you know, I wasn't there for the exam, so it's hard to say.” he said.
“Yeah, just in general.” I said, trying to get something to tell Severide.
“In general?” he asked, then he nodded. “Yeah, I probably would have gone in.” just then, Natalie passed by us, and Will turned to her. “But, uh, again, I wasn't there.” he said, getting a bit tongue tied.
“Right. Thanks.” I decided to tease, just by smiling at him.
“Don't.” he said. I didn’t say anything else, but when I turned to go to Kelly, I saw Lilly looking at us, and then walked over to Will.
LILLY’S P.O.V
“What did you guys talk about?” I asked Will, practically sneaking up on him and making him jump.
“Jesus… nothing Lilly, boys stuff.” he said, looking back at Natalie, and then, as if he remembered, he lightly hit me with the iPad he was holding.
“The hell was that for?” I asked him, pretending it did hurt.
“For sneaking up on me. You nearly gave me a heart attack.” he said.
“At least you’d be in the right place.” I said, he lightly pushed my shoulder, snorting at my comment. I then walked to the back of the nurses station to use one of the computers to check on some files and see if my job application had gone through.
I really hope it did, I know I’m a junior resident, but my place is here at Med.
I was looking through Jessica’s file again, to see if we had managed to miss something, but I was reading the same information as the last three times I had read it. Before I knew it, Will was standing beside me, his pen in his mouth, a look of complete concentration on his face.
Suddenly, Dr. Charles started talking to Ms. Goodwin, and I couldn’t help but overhear their conversation.
“I'm not convinced.” said the chief of psychiatry.
“About what?” asked Goodwin.
“Jessica pope had a confirmation for a round-trip ticket from Paris six months from now, okay? Presumably when she's in remission. A person--a conservative, responsible person--with cancer? They don't do that unless they have high hopes. Right? So she's sick, but she thinks she's getting better. Why would she kill herself? Something's hinky.” he said, explaining to Ms. Goodwin his ideas about the reason why this woman ended up in the ED.
“«Hinky»? Did you just say «hinky»?” asked Ms. Goodwin.
“Humor me. Women almost always leave suicide notes. Where's the note?” he asked, I couldn’t help but mentally agree with him.
“Well, maybe it was destroyed in the fire.” said the former nurse.
“Or maybe it wasn't a suicide.” said the older doctor.
“Have you been binging on «Mannix» again?” asked Ms. Goodwin.
“You don't like it, stop sending me box sets for Christmas.” said Dr. Charles.
“All right, okay. Next year, it'll be «Sanford and Son.»” said Ms. Goodwin before leaving the ED.
“Dr. Halstead?” Dr. Charles asked us, I looked up at him, Will didn’t even look away from his computer screen, I almost slapped him.
At least he took the pen out of his mouth.
“Do you think that your policeman brother might do you a little favor?” he asked, Will turned to him, while I just looked at the older doctor. Then we both made eye contact, copper meeting hazel.
I decided to go to the lounge for some coffee, so I made my way there and then I texted Jay.
To: Jaybird 💙
Hey!
Do you mind coming back to the hospital?
I need to ask you something.
From: Jaybird 💙
Sure, I’ll be there in 30 (traffic).
To: Jaybird 💙
Ok, see you in a bit.
Love you. ❤️
From: Jaybird 💙
❤️
Once that was sorted out, I prepared my coffee, and as I was about to put down the coffee pot, Connor stormed in.
“You seem in a foul mood.” I said, he just sat down on the couch, so I decided to be a good friend and prepared him a coffee, using that as a method to make time while waiting on Jay.
I offered him the mug, he looked up, then looked at the table. I followed the unsaid order and left the mug on the coffee table. Just as I did that, my phone pinged.
From: Jaybird 💙
I’m here.
To: Jaybird 💙
Meet you at the nurses desk.
“See you around Connor. Hope you like the coffee, and please keep an eye on mine.” I said, as I walked out, leaving my cup next to his.
“Sorry to ask you this, but Dr. Charles, he's on a thing about that attempted suicide.” Will started to tell Jay.
“He's not buying it.” I added.
“What's not to buy? You heard the report. There's no signs of foul play.” said Jay, a bit incredulous.
“I know.” Will and I said at the same time.
“But could you just take one more look? Turn over a few rocks?” Will said, hitting his shoulder lightly.
“Ugh, come on.” he said, a bit irritated.
“Please Jay… for us?” I asked, two seconds away from using my puppy eyes on him.
“All right, how about a pound of smoked trout from Calumet?” asked Will, as a way to convince Jay.
“All right, two and you got a deal.” Jay answered, they both shook hands, and then my brunette brother turned to me and we do the same to seal the deal.
Of course, Will hit the nail in the head. It’s Jay’s favorite.
“My man.” Will said.
“Shut up.” said Jay while leaving.
“You're our hero.” I said before he left.
CONNOR’S P.O.V
Lilly had just left the lounge when Zanetti entered, she sat down on the coffee table, mindful of the two cups of coffee there.
“Your patient, Herrmann, he's stable?” she asked me.
“He's still on the vent, but, yeah.” I answered honestly.
“In the O.R. when I said what I did… You know that I'm only hard on the good surgeons, right?” she asked, I wanted to laugh at that.
“Is that right?” I asked, looking up at her from my hunched down position.
“Yeah, I'm not gonna change because we're sleeping together.” she said. “If you've got some male power thing where you can't get it up unless I constantly applaud your surgical prowess…” she added in an attempt to joke, I wasn’t having it.
“Did you say something to fire about me mishandling him?” I asked her point blank about it.
“What?” she answered with a question.
“You heard me.” I said softly.
“You think that I would do something like that?” she asked.
“Somebody did.” was my simple answer.
“If you think for one second that I would undermine a colleague, no matter how I felt about his choices…” she started.
As if you didn’t humiliate me in the O.R
“Maybe I need to reassess this.” she said, and she left as if I had wronged her.
I then turned to the coffee table, seeing the cup Lilly had made for me, I took a sip, and then left it right where it was before. I turned to the ED to see the three Halsteads talking.
Could it be…
I couldn’t help but think as I saw them, then they shook hands and Jay left, Will went one way and Lilly came back to the lounge, as soon as she entered she made eye contact with me.
“Hey there Dr. Grumpy Puss, was the coffee good?” she asked, making a small smile appear on my face.
She wouldn’t… but the other Halstead could.
LILLY’S P.O.V
It had been a while, and I had received word from Dr. Choi that, apparently April’s younger brother, Noah, had ordered a mass spectrometry on Jessica Pope. I was shocked, because I remembered Reese being the one talking about it. Just when I thought I could go and talk to her about it, Jay showed up. I turned and motioned Will to come to us.
“Turned over some rocks on the Jessica pope case like you asked me to.” said Jay as his greeting to us both.
“And?” I asked, praying for a miracle.
“Had the documents lab restore some papers from her place. And they found this.” Jay said, handing Will a paper, which he turned slightly so we both could check it out.
“Thank you.” we said to him at the same time.
“Dr. Charles.” I called the other doctor’s attention.
“Suicide note?” he asked while Will handed him the paper.
“Mm-hmm.” we hummed at the same time.
“But she didn't do it because she was sick.” said Will
“«... my fault because I trusted him. I'm a fool. I can't live with this betrayal.»" Dr. Charles read parts of the note.
“Maybe a lover?” asked Will.
“Is this the whole thing?” asked the chief of psychiatry.
“That's all they could restore.” I said.
Ethan walked by and stopped right next to me.
“What's going on?” he asked.
“Jessica pope. Suicide after all.” said Dr. Charles, to explain what we were talking about.
“Really? Because I just got some very weird test results.” he said, that got our attention. “They confirm she's dying from an overdose of chemo.” he added.
“What's weird about that?” Will asked.
“The results also show… she never had cancer.” he said. Dr. Charles, Will and I looked at each other.
What the hell is going on here?
I left to check on Herrmann, and another patient I had to monitor because of a sinus infection that had arrived shortly after learning of Jessica’s results. Not even an hour later, I heard Connor’s name being called by the mic system to the ED, I stood back, leaving him and Will to deal with that, but I heard something that made me stop and turn towards the treatment room.
“You by any chance share those opinions with your brother?” asked Connor, serious and even a bit angry at Will.
Wait, what?
“What, Herrmann?” Will asked, Connor nodded.
He wouldn’t…
“Look, Jay asked, so I told him.” was Will’s answer.
HE DID?!
I immediately made my way to the doctors lounge, and called my brother. He picked up at the second ring.
“Hey there LilyBloom! What’s up?” he asked as if nothing was wrong.
“Did you ask Will about Connor’s course of action regarding Herrmann?” I asked, point blank.
“Look. Kelly asked me to ask Will. He wanted to know if his condition could’ve been avoided.” answered Jay, I wanted to slap both of them… well, the three of them, if you add Severide to the mix.
“One, you had no right to do that, I bet Will told you in confidence. And two, you wanted answers, you asked the wrong sibling!” I exclaimed, I could hear Jay’s jaw drop.
“What are you talking about?” he asked, clearly confused.
“I’m saying that I was primary, along with Connor, when Herrmann was brought in, you absolute idiot!” I exclaimed, I could only hear silence on the other end of the line.
“Shit.” said Jay, I could see him dragging his hand through his face.
“Yes. Shit. And now, Will and Connor are arguing while treating a patient.” I said, actually furious.
“Wait, what? Are you for real?” Jay sounded surprised.
“Is it really that hard to believe? Connor thinks that Will doesn’t trust his judgment call. Plus, they’re both doctors, and you know how we doctors get when someone with ZERO MEDICAL EXPERIENCE dares to question our decisions, based on what another doctor thinks.” I said to him, I could pretty much hear Adam whisper a “damn, she’s mad” and someone -probably Kim- shutting him up.
“Lilly… I swear I had no idea…” he started, I cut him up.
“Jay, save it. Really, save it. It’s not me you have to apologize to, it’s Connor. But next time, ask which Dr. Halstead treated a patient before making «hypothetical questions» about said patient.” I said, obviously pissed before hanging up.
JAY’S P.O.V
Lilly called me and I answered, I put the phone on speaker because I had my hands occupied with the report I was writing down, what I didn’t expect was to get another one ripped into me.
“Jay, save it. Really, save it. It’s not me you have to apologize to, it’s Connor. But next time, ask which Dr. Halstead treated a patient before making «hypothetical questions» about said patient.” and with that she hung up.
“You’re screwed” said Atwater.
“I think you mean dead.” said Ruzek, none of them helping.
“You’re not helping.” I said, leaving my phone on the table, and then letting my fall on the chair’s back. I ran my hands through my hair and then down my face.
“Knowing her, she won’t kill you.” said Kim, trying to cheer me up.
“Oh she will.” said Erin, not helping my case.
“I don’t think so, she’s really sweet.” the brunette defended.
“You haven’t seen her angry.” Voight’s gruff voice said from where he was standing at his office’s door.
I let out a groan. “How much did you hear Sarge?” I asked the man.
“Everything. And she’s right. You need to apologize to Dr. Rhodes… maybe even to her and Will.” he said.
“My apology won’t be accepted until after she kills me.” I said.
“Maybe. But she’s your sister. You’ll sort it out.” he said.
“Hope you’re right Sarge… or else I’m a dead man.” I said, that got me a snort from everyone.
LILLY’S P.O.V
After that phone call, I went out and went to check on the pair of hotheaded doctors in the trauma room, when I heard the hard part for anyone.
“1 of epi.” ordered Connor, after a bit he gave another order. “Stop compressions.” he said, and then checked for a pulse.
I then heard the monitor be turned off.
“Time of death, 16:21.” he called.
“No!” the woman, who I can only assume was the family of the patient, started sobbing uncontrollably, and it was heartbreaking.
Eventually I heard Natalie went to console the poor woman, but my concern for the moment was a pretty mad student doctor Sarah Reese, who just happened to barge into the break room. I followed her.
“What’s with the long face?” I asked her, she turned, surprised to see me.
“Dr.- I mean Lilly! Didn’t see you there.” she said, I looked at her, questioning look on my face. She caved two seconds later.
“Noah, April’s brother, took credit for a test I ordered.” she said, I looked shocked.
“I mean… can’t say it hasn’t happened to me, but ouch. You good?” I asked her, gently putting my hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
“Yeah… just pissed.” she said, I laughed a bit at that.
“And that’s understandable, tell you what, after shift, I’ll buy you a drink. Sounds good?” I asked her, she blushed.
“I… I don’t drink.” she said, I let out a soft Halstead Chuckle®, squeezing her shoulder in reassurance.
“Doesn’t have to be alcohol. We could have a coffee, tea, or even a soda if you want. The point is… let me take you out somewhere so you, a) aren’t alone tonight, and b) don’t kill Noah’s stupid ass when you see him next time.” I said to her with a smile.
Her blush became a bit more noticeable, going from a pale pink to a shade darker. “Oh… uhm… okay, sure.” she said, looking anywhere but me.
“Let me just say this, and I don’t mean this to sound as too direct, nor plan on offending you in any way, but… you’re cute when you blush Reese.” I said to her, winked at her and then left the room, going to find either Connor or Will to have a go at them for arguing while treating a patient.
Imagine my surprise when I found both my brothers in the waiting room.
Jackpot.
As I made my way to them, the idiots started arguing… as always.
“Did you tell Severide what I said to you in confidence?” asked Will to Jay.
“What?” Jay asked, I could see he was playing dumb.
“About Herrmann?” answered Will, I could see him losing his patience.
“You never said that was in confidence.” said Jay.
Sweet Jesus… I’m killing him.
“Great. In the future, do me a favor. Don't ask me any more hypothetical questions.” said Will, understandably mad.
“Fine. Then don't ask me to bring you any more sensitive materials from police investigations.” said Jay.
And just when he was about to leave, I stood in his way.
“How about next time, both of you pull your heads out of your asses and avoid making yourselves look like assholes?” I asked them, both of them looked surprised to see me standing there.
“Lilly…” started Jay, I raised my hand to cut him off.
“Save it, both of you, follow me.” I said, then pointed with my head to the side so we wouldn’t do anything stupid in public.
We made it to one of the empty conference rooms and there, all hell broke loose.
“What the actual living fuck did BOTH of you think you were doing earlier? Discussing patient care with each other. Especially one that wasn’t yours.” I asked them. Immediately both of them tried to defend themselves.
“He asked-” started Will.
“I just did what I was told-” Jay said louder.
“You know I’d never-” started Will again.
“You gotta understand-” Jay tried again to speak louder than Will, and honestly I had enough.
“ENOUGH!“ I exclaimed, making both my brothers shut up. “Sometimes it’s like I’m the eldest of the three, jeez.” I added, that made both of them look down in shame. “Look, you both screwed up. You by letting Severide getting you into all this.” I said pointing at Jay. “And you by answering the question he asked, without having the information to base your answer on.” I pointed at Will.
“I did point out several times that I wasn’t there when Herrmann was brought in.” Will said.
“That’s true.” Added Jay in Will’s defense.
“Look, that’s not the problem here. The problem is, Severide used you to get information he could’ve gotten from me if he had paid enough attention to what Herrmann said to me when I went to see him. And now Connor’s medical opinion is being questioned” I said.
“Sorry.” they both said at the same time.
“I’m not the one you should apologize to.” I said, they both looked at me. “Even if I do appreciate the apology… Connor’s the one you both need to apologize to.” I reminded them.
“As soon as I get the chance, I will.” said Jay, Will looked like he just swallowed a lemon.
“Will?” I asked.
“Fine. I’ll apologize to him.” he said.
“Still don’t get why you hate him.” I said.
“He’s just… he’s rich.” Will said, both Jay and I turned to him.
“Yeah, and?” Jay asked our older brother.
“You think he doesn’t understand the struggles you faced because he’s rich?” I asked.
“Yes! I mean, he has a trust fund, he had everything handed to him on a silver platter!” Will said, I wanted to slap him.
“Ok, I know we come from a blue-collar neighborhood, but Connor also struggled, in a different way than we did but-” Will cut me off.
“How can he know, his last name’s Rhodes!” he exclaimed.
“It’s because his last name’s Rhodes that he knows Will.” I said, the look I gave him must have been enough for him to understand he messed up. “As I said, you both apologize to him… and the sooner you do, the better.” and with that, I left the room.
I went to the nurses station to check on some records, when Dr. Charles approached me.
“Dr. Halstead.” he said, unfortunately I could see both my brothers looking at me through the window of the room I had just exited.
“Dr. Charles. How can I help you?” I asked.
“Dr. Manning’s patient…”
“Carol Shepperd? What about her?” I asked the psychiatrist.
“Your brother told me that, despite her best efforts, Dr. Manning hasn’t managed to get her to improve.” he said.
“Ok, if you want me to look over her file, I’ll need access to it. I don’t want this to look as if I’m trying to impose my way on her treatment.” I said to the man in front of me, he nodded.
“I’ll clear that with Dr. Manning when the time comes, right now, I need the best doctors to figure out what’s going on here.” he said.
“Thank you for the vote of confidence Dr. Charles. I also heard that you asked for the autopsy on Dr. Rhodes’s and my brother’s patient?” I asked him.
“Yeah, Dani Frank. We just want to make sure her case isn’t related to Dr. Choi’s patient.” he said I nodded.
“Ok, I’ll ask for some biomarkers and a mass spec on Mrs. Shepperd, just in case.” I said to the man, opening a new test order form on the computer screen.
“Thank you, Dr. Halstead. We’ll be in touch.” he said, I nodded.
Just hope this doesn’t come biting me in the ass later.
