Inside Divar Island, you’ll find exotic birds in the Naroa sanctuary along with time-warped colonial history. Bike rentals from Pedal Power let you soak up these cultural gems at leisure.
Art Aficionado Tour
The obscure village of Velha near the coast has a unique vibe with its “open art gallery” showcasing wonderful street art and murals by talented Mario Miranda and Russian artist Slava. The pretty Salaulim dam makes another artsy pitstop known for giant Yakshagana mural art. With literally color and creativity around every corner, this is a great art ride from Goa for free spirits.
Fruit Fiesta Fun
The routing countryside has several fruit plantations and spice farms just perfect for those impromptu harvest fresh strawberry, pineapple, and coconut plucking day trips! Or take a guided plantation bike tour from an agency like Rentnhop which arranges for an authentic farm experience including delicious homemade local lunches and feni samplers! What a flavourful way to bond with Goa's rich agricultural bounty.
Biker’s Bliss
Serious bikers can hit the roads too on premium bike rental in Goa to check out the legendary sea fort Reis Magos jutting out proudly over barren grey cliffs. For offroad enthusiasts, riding to the century-old but still functional Mayem Lake built by the Kadamba dynasty offers a nice adrenaline rush. Go instantly charms its visitors with its imposing Portuguese architecture, natural bounty, ocean air, and a reservoir of myths and legends. Hindu myths believe that Goa was created by an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Parshuram. After winning a battle against the Kshatriyas, Parshuram was granted the land as a space where his fellow Brahmins could reside forever. The Portuguese culture also marked vivid imprints on the native culture, history, and cuisine. A few years after Vasco da Gama landed in Goa, the state was turned into a Portuguese colony. You can find this Portuguese influence most profoundly in the ancient churches and other monuments. The best way to soak in the charm of this coastal heaven is by unwinding in rental villas in Goa.

Saptakoteshwar Narve Goa
So it took atleast a week to decide on my first blog. I’m too very dharmic (religious) and the idea clicked !! nothing can be best to write o your kuldaivat (native god) you worshiped all your life
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
http://www.pngallivanter.com
During my childhood, like all of us, I too always curiously waited for the summer holidays to come. I started dreaming about the experiences going to happen
Everybody loves their native, but I always had an advantage of making my village sound more scenic. Yes you guessed it right, its 'Goa' . A small habitat called Narve (also called as Narvem in goan) based near the lakes of Mayem and the city of Bicholim. The coconut trees, red soil, lots of kaju (cashews), narve caves and of course the most famous narve springs, the gangas of narve goa. To make it sound interesting, I always used to say....I hail from Norway. Yes the rythm suited best !!
The days were always filled with fun starting from having 'Pao' (kind of bread derived from Portuguese) & tea, fishing around the lakes, having freshly home grown gavar (cluster beans) and the best seafood largely sukhi macchi (dry fish)
In all these adventures, there was a place where you could feel, sense and experience peace. A kind of satisfaction !!
Shri Saptakoteshwar Temple
As I hear from my family & from the local native historians & pandits , this deity of Saptakoteshwar has been a force of blessing to the village. The monday abhishek (method to worship), the palki & pouring water on the Shivling made me more peaceful
The history of the diety been hacked by the Portuguese & conquered later by the great Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has it's own nature of importance to this place. Right from the interiors to the main murti will admire you of peace, relaxation, freshness and the kind blessings of my kuldaivat Shri Saptakoteshwar Temple.
Over the years, the deity & its blessings has been a part of my lifestyle. I no more curiously wait for the summer holidays to come but I honestly keep asking my diety to keep calling me to this beautiful wonder of worship and give me the oppurtunity to pray, feel and get blessed

The Gushing Arvalem
The view of water gushing and flowing is always a mesmerizing sight to see. Waterfalls have always been a visitor’s delight in any part of the world. The Arvalem waterfall in Goa promises to keep up with expectations! Although, comparatively smaller and less popular than the mighty Dudhsagar waterfall, the Arvalem or Harvalem as it is known brings a smile of content on all its visitors.
Visiting Goa in the monsoon is a bliss for travelers to find a cool, less crowded and rejuvenating vacation. It is during the rains that Goa is blooming and verdant, making it an absolute paradise and perfect to visit the Arvalem Waterfall. With gushing torrents and cool splashes of water, one can enjoy a lovely monsoon picnic to watch the falls and enjoy scenic wonders. A small park has been built around the waterfall to enjoy serene views of the waterfall. The greenery and soothing environment are simply blissful during the rains. Visitors can also climb up an old arched bridge, a little further up the hill to have a panoramic view of the spot, while avid photographers can rejoice here with the natural light and a beautiful setting.
Located very close are the Arvalem rock-cut caves believed to have been carved by Buddhist monks are also frequented by travelers. These caves are also believed to be a refuge for the Pandavas during their 12-year exile. Another attraction includes the Mayem lake in Bicholim which is also worth a visit. At Arvalem, the Rudreshwar temple also holds importance and is a calming place of visit. Travelers often climb up the steps of this temple to have mesmerizing views of the waterfall. More adventurous folks can also dive in for a white water rafting fun trip at Valpoi which is just 20 minutes away from Arvalem.
Located near Mapusa in North Goa, one can take a short drive to reach Arvalem by road from Panjim. The nearest villages are Sanquelim and Bicholim. Public transport buses are also available from Panjim and Mapusa. This tourist spot is open on all days between 9 am to 6 pm.
