#Maybe Lunova?

Hi, I've been really enjoying seeing your work and I really love the way you color your characters.

I've had a question though about Mew pattern shifting since Akoya changed hers, like, is there a limit to how far from a Mew's original birth patterns they can shift? Or could it be possible for Akoya to change her color to that of a normal Mew for brief periods of time, like the shapeshifting? Also, do the color differences carry over when the Mew's shapeshift? Are all of Akoya's forms shiny, or are they all just blue no matter what kind of Pokemon she looks like?

I like to imagine there are limits, but it could also be that the limits change with the circumstances. Akoya’s more in tune with transforming in general, so she might be a bit less limited than other Mews. Randy, meanwhile...

I’ve stated before and stand by that she could turn into non-shiny versions of Pokemon. But it takes her more effort than doing shiny ones. That could just be a her thing—other shiny Mews could potentially find it easier to become non-shiny Pokemon, and vice-versa if I wanted to go that route. (I did that with Akoya as a nod to her coming from Gen 3, where shiny Pokémon do transform into the shiny variant of their opponent. Nowadays they match their opponents coloring.)

It’s also possible that limits change with gained experience. Now that Akoya has transformed as she did, maybe there’s more wiggle room for future transformations. As of now, that kind of change has to come from a deeply internal feeling or change of mentality. But if any individuals develop their skills enough, it could become an option rather than a reactional change.

As far as a shiny such as Akoya changing to be non-shiny... I think it could be possible, but it would be like becoming another Pokemon, and they'd feel the need to change back. But again, it could be up to the individual and their skill level or deepest desires.

born to a couple who wanted nothing more than a baby girl, marina spent her childhood being absolutely coddled by her parents. there wasn’t anything that she asked for that she wasn’t made readily available to her. whether that be the piano lessons she wanted when she was 6, or the painting lessons she decided she would prefer when she was 7, or the skating lessons she craved at 8. needless to say, marina had a fun time just flitting about from one interest to the next and never quite settling on one.

her idyllic childhood was shattered when her parents’ plane crashed on the way back from a business meeting in europe. marina was only 10 years old when she started being shuffled around from family member to family member; aunts who were just too busy to raise a child, uncles who had families of their own to take care of.

so marina became the best possible kid that she could. she would do her homework, get great grades, help out around the house, and hopefully, one of them would finally let her stick around. if she could just be better, maybe she could be part of their family too.

with all this hopping between homes, marina transferred school almost every other year. being the new girl was never easy, especially not when the other kids inevitably found out it was because none of her family wanted her around. but marina never spoke out, not if it meant she would have to inconvenience whichever distant relative was taking care of her.

graduating top of her class, marina applied to college instantly, hoping that if she just worked hard enough for good grades and got a room in the dorms, maybe her family wouldn’t look so inconvenienced to have her around.

but college was a lot harder than high school, and with still barely any friends or family to turn to, marina had just a little too much on her shoulders.

what else is a girl gonna do when she sees an ad for a new start in a new town during a horrible breakdown other than drop out and pack up!

🐙 personality 🐙

marina is definitely the definition of a walking mess. she tries her best to appear bubbly and cheerful, sometimes pushing the limits of ‘realistically’ bubbly. it’s actually because she can’t stand silence and being alone for too long. a desire to please everyone around has been what fuelled her life since she was around 10, so she’s never really spent very long thinking about what she wanted. she just straight up doesn’t think much of herself so she tries to make everyone else happy instead. 

she could be considered a workaholic, spending most of her time either on shift, or at work whenever it’s open so that she can avoid going home alone. unfortunately, she drops a minimum of 5 things a day, which is almost comical considering she works as a barista. 

🐙 connections 🐙

🐙 friends !! ( any gender )  literally anyone that is nice to her, she probably considers a friend. but this would be people who make her feel included, and like to do any and every thing with her. since she doesn’t really like to be alone, friends are a must !!

🐙 best friend !! ( any gender )  someone who realizes that she’s not actually as happy as she pretends to be and lets her confide in them. it would probably take a lot of bad things piling up for marina to break down, but it’s happened before and likely will happen again, and this would probably be who she’d turn to !!

🐙 one-sided crush ( any gender )  someone she probably runs into a lot at work, maybe a customer or even a coworker. marina wouldn’t be able to keep her cool and just end up dropping and spilling stuff whenever they’re around, not that she doesn’t always drop stuff.

🐙 coworkers ( any gender )  despite being a clumsy mess, marina loves meeting new people and coworkers and definitely aspires to be coworker besties with anyone at work !! unless she’s blatantly snubbed, marina would probably be overtly friendly with anyone around !!

🐙 ex-bully (and/or current) ? ( any gender )  someone from any of the schools she was in and out of during her teenage years. she didn’t really fit in, so someone who used to tease her in the past might be interesting !! whether she recognizes them initially or not and vice versa is up in the air c:

( any gender )  maybe someone who flirts with her, and she always gets super flustered in situations like that. marina isn’t really the type to have a fling but she’s also not one to question someone’s intention, so it wouldn’t be surprising for her to go along with it and then catch feelings without even realizing it tbh :D

🐙  mutual crush? ( any gender )  someone that actually likes her back just as much as she likes them. it’s probably some kind of awkward mess tbh, but still. someone who wants the best for her and vice versa. doesn’t have to be a soft kinda thing either, since the girl needs to be forced out of her comfort zone c:

hello peaches ! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ this is tia and i’m bringing my baby celeste, a sleepy museum guide who is too passionate about stargazing & constellations. while i’m still crying over not being able to buy new horizons because i’m too broke to buy a nintendo switch, i’ll trying to keep this short. but watch me fail, because very much like resetti , i don’t know how to stop talking. ✿ like many others, celeste haven’t always dreamed of becoming what she’d be today. however, since she was a child she loved gazing at the stars and sky, imagining what it would be like to be up there. 

✿ celeste had always been a curious and  social child. she loved to make friends and it seemed like people also liked to talk to her. her life was pretty uneventful to this point, if not it could’ve been described as perfect. while things definetely didn’t come easy to her, she worked hard enough for it so she’d eventually get to them.

✿ one of these things were her dreaming of becoming a pilot. for her it was the only way to satisfy to her desire to travel the world as well as to be as close to the sky as possible. 

✿ of course she knew it wouldn’t be easy and money was certainly needed to invest in her dream. she tried to save up a small amount and with her mother being supportive of her daughter’s dream she tried to help her daughter as much as possible, not only financially but also mentally. 

✿ celeste did feel bad about her mother spending all her money on her daughter’s training. thus, she worked even harder so she could repay her mother.

✿ yet, hard work would never make up for the thing that would twist her plans in such unexpected ways. something celeste had never dreamed of happening. her mother had been diagnosed with alzheimer and as time passed it got to the point where her mothr could barely do anything on her own. 

✿ it was not only the money that she needed for her care but time, time celeste didn’t have with her being so busy to achieve her dream. yet, she couldn’t bear to leave her mother alone and she quit her training to take care of her mother. 

✿ as their financial situation didn’t become better, they also moved to a smaller place located in lunova. there she also picked up her job as a guide in the museum. it wasn’t the worst situation for her. it was another way to be close to the sky.

wanted connections:

✿  best friends: y/m and celeste might have known each other since childhood or they just recently met and instantly felt the connection. despite of celeste, keeping most things to herself, y/m is someone she trusts and even shares her struggles with. to make it short, i just want a wholesome friendship with wholesome and cute moments, like random camping trips, stupid fights or sharing their struggles and ending up crying RIP

✿ star gazing buddies: your muse might be a frequent visitor at the museum and met celeste there. maybe they’ve always been interested in star gazing, constellations etc. or they just like talking to celeste and decided to visit her more often or after her work so they can go star gazing together.

✿ unwanted help: maybe this person always sees her dozing off and is worried about her. they might or might know about her mother’s situation and feel bad for her or they just think she might suffer some illness that might cause her to feel weak and therefore she dozes off. however, everytime they try to help celeste refuses their help. at first, celeste is polite btu after some time she is getting annoyed and might even snap at y/m. y/m is wondering why she’s only mean to y/m when she’s actually known to be a really nice person. maybe, they’ll become friends later or their relationship only becomes worse.

✿ exes : celeste and y/m were in a happy relationship. but when her mother was diagnosed their relationship slowly deteriorated, where she was suddenly becoming more irriated or would always cancel their dates. to make the matter worst, celeste never told your muse about her mother and why she was acting that way. as that wasn’t bad as it is, celeste also didn’t tell y/m she would move to another place and just disappeared with a) only breaking up with y/m via text b) just ghosted on your muse c) anything else we can plot.  

 ✿ unrequited love (doesn't matter if it’s your muse or celeste bcs i just love one sided love PLOTS and suffering :’) ):  IT CAN BE ANYTHING, maybe y/m has a one sided love on celeste and everytime they confess to her she just tries come up with a bad excuse bcs she doesn’t want to hurt y/m. or maybe they’ve been friends for a while and celeste just doesn’t want to risk their friendship because it’s one of the few stable things in her life. or celeste could have a crush on y/m but doesn’t tell them but it’s very obvious. 

✿ pen pals/online friends: maybe both of them have known each other for a long time but have never seen each other. it’s this weird relationship, where both of them know each other’s secrets because they felt comfortable sharing it only via text. yet, they’d feel awkward if they said these thigns to each other irl. BONUS point: one of them knows how the other looks like and they see the other in lunova but are too scared to talk to the other.

✿ ANYTHING, enemies, bickering friends, sibling type relationship, exes on bad/good terms, bad influence, good influence etc.

I'm thinking of having Lunova transform his arms into wings instead of floating. Like, maybe being a runt, he has a Psychic handicap of some kind.
