can you figure me out? ; spencer reid x fem!reader
summary: you try everything possible so that spencer realizes that you are completely in love with him, but he just doesn't seem to notice it.
warnings: i had spencer from season 2 in mind, nothing dw!
a/n: I had this draft saved and I was improving it to be able to post it, I hope you enjoy it! I have a couple of requests, thank you very much!! I hope to be able to make them soon. 💗 By the way, english is not my first language, let me know any mistakes, have a beautiful day! 💘
Everyone at the BAU knew you were completely in love with Spencer Reid.
Except for Spencer.
Which was sometimes funny—most of the time it was—but other times it was frustrating. It didn’t seem logical to you how a genius with an IQ of 187 couldn’t realize that he was basically the love of your life. It’s not like you were trying to hide it or something. He’s just oblivious.
Because of this, Morgan and García proposed a little game to you.
“I bet you could flirt with him all day, and he’d think you were just being friendly,” Penelope laughed.
You lightly bumped your forehead against your desk, staying there defeated. “Don’t even say that,” you mumbled against the desk.
“Hey, hey, don’t be sad, cutie,” Derek gently lifted your head so you could see him. “It’s not as bad as it seems. He’s just… something else,” he laughed.
“Don’t say that,” you frowned at Derek.
Derek raised his hands in a gesture of innocence. "Hey, it's okay, I'm not offending your husband."
"He's not my husband, and he never will be if he never pays attention to me." You sighed.
"Look, sweetie, flirt with him all day, no filter." She laughed.
Derek played along. "That's right, let's see how hard it is for him to notice." He laughed too.
"Stop playing around, this is serious, don't be like that." You were quite sad.
"We're being serious too!" Derek exclaimed.
"I mean, it's what you want, right? For him to notice. It's not possible that you flirt with him all day and he doesn't notice." Penelope added. "And listen, babe, if he doesn't notice this, I'm sorry to say it, but he's ignoring you," she explained to you.
You groaned and rested your head on the desk.
After a while, you started thinking about what Morgan and Garcia had said. After all, you had nothing to lose; in the end, it was basically what you did every day. Although, of course, this was a bit over the top, but who knows if it was over the top enough for Spencer to notice.
"Hey, you." You smiled at Spencer, who was in the office kitchen making one of his coffees.
Spencer looked at you. "Oh, hey." He gave you a smile, one of those where he just closed his lips without showing his teeth. Pretty typical of him.
"Those glasses?" You smiled, trying to make conversation.
Of course, you had noticed them; how could you not? He started wearing them about a week ago, and he looked dreamy. So much so that you thought you stared at him for about five minutes straight a couple of days ago while Hotch was explaining a new case.
"Mm, the contacts were really bothering my eyes lately." He explained while continuing to prepare his coffee.
"Well, they look great on you; you look great, really handsome." You began your mission.
"They’re nothing special. I had to get anti-reflective coating because the glare was bothering me too. It’s a coating applied to both surfaces of the lenses to reduce the glare caused by reflected light." He started explaining, as he always did, not noticing your attempt to tell him he looked good.
Spencer’s obliviousness: 1 - 0 : You.
"Ah—right, yeah." You sighed and watched him leave the kitchen, giving you another one of his smiles.
Second attempt.
You were at your desks, which were next to each other, finishing paperwork from the last case.
"Are you done? It's almost lunchtime," you asked Spencer.
"I still have to finish the geographical profile," he said, looking at his papers. "But I can do it after lunch." He looked at you.
"Great! I was thinking, would you like to go to that sandwich place a couple of blocks away?"
"Oh, sure! Tito’s, right?" He said, recalling the name of the place. "Sounds great." He smiled at you.
You were a bit surprised. "Oh, really? Great—Yeah, perfect." You stumbled over your words a bit—he had just accepted a date with you!
"Great, I'll tell the others," he said as he tidied up his desk.
"Okay, sure," you replied without thinking. "Wait—what? Spencer—" Maybe you thought he accepted a date with you too soon.
"Morgan loves that place," he told you. "See you later, okay?" He smiled and left.
You sighed.
Spencer’s obliviousness: 2 - 0 : You.
You sighed again.
Hotch and JJ explained a new case to you—apparently, there was a serial killer in Mill Creek, and this other guy who called himself the "Empty Man." It seemed they had some sort of rivalry and were killing women without restraint. So now, you guys would have to travel to St. Louis to help solve the case.
Everyone boarded the plane, which took off immediately after the case was announced. Everyone was scattered around the plane, analyzing the case. You were sitting next to Reid, across from the little table that those seats have.
After that tragic and terrifying lunch, you were left thinking about the possibility that Spencer did know and was ignoring you to avoid hurting you. Maybe he just didn’t like you, which wasn’t such a big deal. But you wished that if that were the case, he would at least tell you.
"Are you okay?" you heard the voice of the man from Las Vegas next to you.
"Hm? Yeah, yeah, of course," you replied instinctively.
"You don’t seem like it," he said with a frown.
Great, now he was starting to notice things.
"Really, I’m fine. I was just—thinking," you replied honestly.
"About what?" he asked.
"About you," you blurted out. The truth was, it was now or never; it didn’t matter whether he felt the same way or not.
"Me? Why about me?" he asked, even more confused.
"You're incredible, Reid," you laughed—it was better than crying. "I’ve been trying all day to get you to notice how much I like you! And you don’t understand anything!"
Awesome.
Spencer’s obliviousness: 3 - 0 : You.
Double awesome.
"Do you like me?" Spencer said, completely clueless.
"Of course i do! Ever since I got here. And I've tried everything but—" You sighed. "You don't like me... And that's okay, I don't expect you to, I just wish you'd tell me, you know?"
Spencer let out the breath he was holding and laughed a little. "Where did you get that from? How do you think I don't like you?"
"I do?" You opened your mouth in surprise, which made him laugh.
"Of course you do," he laughed. "I just thought you were being nice to me, you're nice to everyone, I didn't think it was special with me."
"Of course you are!" You laughed.
"According to April Bleske-Rechek, the psychologist leading the task force that studied the relationship between men and women, males and females have a very different perception of the messages they receive from the opposite sex." Reid started to Reidplain as he always did. "This, especially in the case of men, leads them to misinterpret signals."
"Really?" You said sarcastically, leaning on your hand, watching him as he explained.
"Yes, which is why I thought I was misinterpreting you." He shrugged.
"Not at all." You smiled as you brushed a strand of hair off his forehead.
"We're in the middle of a case, I'd appreciate it if you two could behave," Hotch said from the back of the plane.
"Oh, right, right, yeah—I'm sorry," both of you mumbled a bunch of incoherent apologies.
Then you looked at each other out of the corner of your eye with a small smile.
Awesome.
You: 1 - 3: Spencer’s obliviousness.
Triple awesome.
Take that, silly mental scoreboard.

A bookstore meet cute I wish I could experience | Spencer Reid
Category: Fluff with S4 awkward, nerdy rizz Spencer
Warnings: use of Y/N, unedited (tenses keep shifting, sorry)
A/N: this is just 1.8k words of self indulgent self insert. Like this is inspired by some unpleasant experiences I've had talking with men about books in the past lol, and reader's responses defensive responses had been me at some point. i feel like a conversation with Spencer Reid would heal me, thus this fic. Also, save me, s4e9 Spencer Reid, save me.
He seemed like a fixture to the bookstore, if fixtures moved on their own. Or if they moved up and down the aisles with elegant fingers tracing the spines of the books on display. Or if they dressed like a rumpled professor, complete with the black rimmed glasses. He just seemed like he was part of the space, and you thought that every bookstore should probably come with one - a tall, attractive nerd who drifted all over the room like some sort of phantom. Maybe that would help with the literacy problem. It certainly would bring more people in, make them more interested in reading.
You've been trying to figure him out from afar, as subtle as you can. You're not a creep, after all, but he cuts such a lonely figure that you couldn't help but wonder if he needed some company. A part of you wonders if he's noticed you as well. This store is your late afternoon treat, after all. You come here every Friday, without fail, even when you know the inventory is unreplenished, simply to bask in the presence of books.
And then he started coming in regularly, and you had another reason to come.
You never approached him. Something about simply knowing he's there, while remaining a stranger, is thrilling. You can romanticize him if he's a stranger, project all the wholesome fantasies and book boyfriends you have upon him with no sense of accountability.
It also means you avoid the disappointment if he turns out to be another condescending know it all, eager to put you and your reading habits down because oh your tastes are so girly.
No, this was better. You're a flaneur, you tell yourself, you're here to be part of the space and observe from within, even though you doubt this is what Baudelaire had in mind when he wrote that essay and defined the term.
Still.
You smile to yourself, crouching down to check the books on the lower shelf, and also to catch a glimpse of his legs. He'd been on the other side of this shelf for the past five minutes, and you've gotten a soft chuckle when you saw his mismatched socks.
However, his lean form is nowhere to be seen. He seems to have moved to another aisle. With a small frown, you move to stand up, only to feel a tug.
“Shit,” a quick glance down reveals that a familiar looking shoe has accidentally stepped on your long skirt. You hadn't realized it billowed out around you when you knelt down.
“Oh, I'm so sorry!”
You look up and realize why the shoe looks familiar. It's him. You couldn't see him in the other aisle because he'd moved to your side, so silently you hadn't even heard him.
“Sorry, oh gosh, I didn’t notice.” He steps off quickly, and you watch as his cheeks bloom bright pink. A pink that quickly travels down his neck.
You stifle a laugh at how easily he blushed. “It's fine.” Your attempt to stand is more successful without his foot pinning the fabric of your skirt to the ground.
“I've messed up your skirt though.” He says, looking at the brown smudge left behind on the skirt.
“It's no big deal, it’ll come out.” You shrug, getting a good look at him this time. He's taller than you thought, with a sharp bone structure that's softened by large, hazel eyes and pouty lips. His hair is slicked back, curling at the nape of his neck, the color a soft brown that matches his eyes. Yeah, one of him should really come in every bookstore, you think.
“O-okay, uh, if you're sure” He says, rubbing his hands on his pants. A nervous energy emanates from him, disrupting your idea that he's calm and tranquil.
Oh well, there goes that fantasy. Still, you wonder if maybe he's nervous because of you.
“I still feel bad though,” He adds, looking around, “Uh, how about I buy you a book for the inconvenience?”
“It's hardly an inconvenience,” You laugh, “But hey, I won't say no to a free book.”
He perks up, “Great. I'm Spencer, by the way.”
“Y/N. It's nice to meet you, Spencer.”
He repeats your name, and you find yourself enjoying the shape his mouth makes as he tests it out, lips and tongue wrapping around the syllables as if he wants to commit the way it feels in his memory.
You mentally kick yourself in the ass, wondering if you've read too many romance novels.
“Likewise,” He smiles, and you have to remind yourself that it's rude to stare at the lips of someone you just met. It's not your fault he has such pretty dimples, and you had the urge to count them. He continues, “So what kind of books do you like, Y/N? Romance?”
Your eyes narrow at that. You wonder how to answer. Yes? Would he judge you if you say yes? Is he one of those guys, the ones who only read heavy, intellectual books and look down on people who read fluff? Do you want to try and impress him by saying no, by scoffing and saying something like of course not I’m looking for a copy of Swann's Way by Marcel Proust? (which is the most “impressive” book you can think of at the moment). The idea seems too gross, too I'm not like other girls, and you immediately cross it out.
“And if I do?” you ask instead, surprised by the edge to your voice.
He blinks, then shrugs, looking entirely innocent. “Then we should head to the romance shelf over there.”
Once again, you're surprised. Some part of you had been expecting a smirk, maybe a roll of his eyes, that look you get when you even dare to bring up the romance genre. But, no. He starts walking to a different part of the store and you're forced to follow.
“Why did you think I read romance?” the words escape your lips before you can stop them.
He ducks behind a shelf, his hair falling down and hiding his face but you get a glimpse of the bright red skin of his neck. He's blushing again.
“Well, it's - ah - that is, I've noticed you here before, and you always seemed to hang out here in the romance section.” He says in a rush, his head still angled away from you.
You feel simultaneously called out, and a little giddy. So he's noticed you, just as much as you'd noticed him.
“So you're a stalker.” You can't help but tease.
He lets out a sound, somewhere between an indignant sputter and a scoff. “What? No! I just happen to be very observant, it's a skill I've learned to hone for my job, and you're not very hard to remember-” He cuts himself off, peeking at you with a horrified look on his face.
Laughter tumbles from your lips, and you clamp your teeth down your bottom lip to stop.
“I was teasing you.” You say, trying to fight the giggles.
He seems relieved, but the crease on his brow remains, a sign of his previous embarrassment.
“And you're right. The romance section has the biggest amount of secondhand books that I can read while I'm here.” You explain. This aisle also gives you the best view of the nonfiction section, which he frequents, therefore giving you the perfect spot to observe him over the past few weeks. Though you leave out that part.
“Ah,” He nods, looking around, “See anything you like?”
“No, I'm actually looking for a copy of The Hobbit right now.”
He lights up, “Oh, you're a fan of Tolkien too? I love him, he's such a genius and completely innovated the fantasy genre! So much so that he - wait, if you're looking for The Hobbit, why didn't you tell me sooner?”
“You just started walking.” You reply, smiling at him. He's adorable when he becomes so animated, hands waving around like his body can't contain his excitement and has to find ways to express them physically. “Had to follow you. But anyway, I'm assuming you've read The Hobbit?”
He accepts your explanation easily, then nods his head. You can't help but compare him to a puppy, so eager and nearly frantic in his excitement.
“I've read every Tolkien book.” He says, and you're surprised to find his voice contains no hint of superiority, or cockiness. Just genuine joy. It's refreshing, “Including The Silmarillion."
“Oh wow,” You laugh, aware of the reputation that tome carries, “I've only seen the Lord of The Rings movies.”
“Well that's not sufficient at all! You're missing out on so much history,” He says, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Mhm, well help me find The Hobbit first, before I move on to the trilogy.” You reply, already walking over to where you know the fantasy books are.
He follows you, smiling bashfully, “You know, I have copies of all the books… I can just lend them to you, if you want.”
You pause, glancing over your shoulder in surprise. “You'd let a stranger borrow your books?”
“Only if you promise to take care of them.” He says, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.
“I swear on my life, I will not tarry your precious copies of Tolkien's masterpiece.” You make a cross over your heart for emphasis, which makes him laugh. This time, you stare at his lips shamelessly, enjoying the dimples that appeared from the action.
“Okay, maybe we meet up over coffee sometime?” he asks, fiddling with the strap of his bag. “I'll bring the books.”
You fight the urge to squeal. Your body refuses to contain the giddiness, and the sound compromises by coming out as a giggle.
“Yeah, sure.” you watch as he digs into his pocket, handing over a card. “Oh, how very professional.” You say playfully, accepting the slip of paper.
He ducks his head, and you see the beginnings of the blush creeping down his neck. It feels exhilarating, being able to make him blush like this.
“It's just more practical.” He mumbles.
You grab your phone quickly, typing in his number and giving it a call, so that your number goes through his as well. “I'll give you a call. But, you still owe me a book for this.” You motion at your skirt, at the stain of his footprint on the fabric.
He chuckles, “Of course. Can't go back on my promise.” he looks around the store and you're taken by the sight of him, looking like he's part of the space, like he simply belongs here. And this time, with you standing next to him, with him. “Take your pick.”
“I'm pretty indecisive.” You say playfully.
“I have time.” He smiles, and you find he has two dimples on one side of his face, and only one on the other. Your chest feels heavy with something that you can't quite put a name to yet, but you're eager for more of it.

Unauthorized Documentary 0.5
Summary: Matthew Gray Gubler is filming his untitled documentary, you hate it (not really).
Pairing: Matthew Gray Gubler x fem!reader
Category: fluff
Warnings/Includes: fake arguing, fake fighting, mean reader (it's fake)
Word count: 1.6k
a/n: i am rewatching the documentaries right now and i need this man so bad
main masterlist
“I am not Matthew’s girlfriend,” you sighed heavily, rolling your eyes in exasperation. “I have no idea why he keeps telling people that.”
The camera panned slightly, focusing on your expression as the cameraman shrugged nonchalantly. His lack of input only seemed to fuel your irritation.
Turning sharply to face the lens, you stared directly into it with a deadly serious expression. With an intense tone, you declared, “Let me make this absolutely clear for anyone dumb enough to be watching anything about Matthew Garbler — I have never, and will never, date that pathetic freak.”
The silence that followed hung in the air, your words ringing with unapologetic finality.
The camera pulled back slightly, catching more of the chaotic surroundings: a cluttered dressing room filled with mismatched furniture, half-empty coffee cups, and a life-size cardboard cutout of Matthew Gray Gubler in a pirate hat.
From behind the camera, a voice asked, dripping with sarcasm, “So you’re saying there’s no chance for a romantic subplot?”
You groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. “Romantic subplot? This isn’t some trashy rom-com. This is real life! And in real life, I wouldn’t date Matthew if he was the last human being on this planet. I’d rather marry the cardboard cutout.” You gestured dramatically at the pirate Matthew, who seemed to smirk mockingly at you.
The cameraman snorted. “Right. But you’re still his assistant?”
“I’m his manager,” you snapped, your eyes narrowing. “And don’t you dare forget it. I keep that lunatic’s life from imploding every single day. And what do I get in return? A stupid title on this dumb documentary and people thinking I’m his girlfriend? Unbelievable.”
—
Later, the camera turns on Matthew, his brow furrowed and his expression caught somewhere between confusion and mild panic. “She said what?” he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
From behind the camera, a voice awkwardly clarified, “Uh, she said she’s not your girlfriend.”
Matthew’s eyes widened for a moment before narrowing slightly. He made a quick hand motion, his tone turning sharp. “Show me the footage.”
The screen jumps back to Matthew as he watches the clip. He forces an uncomfortable laugh, scratching the back of his neck. “She’s so funny,” he says, his voice cracking slightly. “That’s just how Y/N is… she likes to joke around like that.”
The camera slowly pans away, catching you in the background, deep in conversation with one of the producers. Your body language is animated, your irritation still evident as you gestured emphatically.
“Fuck,” Matthew mutters under his breath, the nervousness in his voice escalating. He whirls around, shouting over his shoulder, “Cut that, cut all that!”
Before anyone can respond, he bolts from the set, his hurried footsteps fading as the shot lingers awkwardly on the empty doorway he’s just fled through.
—
While you were giving another uncomfortable interview for the cameraman, the door burst open, and Matthew himself waltzed in, juggling three cups of coffee. “Guess what, everyone! I’ve decided to legally change my name to ‘Gublé,’ like the singer, but with pizzazz. Thoughts? Be honest but supportive.”
You turned to the camera, your mouth slightly agape as if asking the audience for strength. “This is my life.”
“Wait,” Matthew cut in, setting the coffee cups precariously on a stack of scripts. “Did you tell them about us?” His eyes sparkled mischievously.
You rolled your eyes so hard it was a miracle they didn’t fall out of your head. “For the hundredth time, there is no ‘us.’ There never was and never will be!”
“Ah, denial,” Matthew said wistfully, draping himself across the nearest chair like a Victorian maiden. “It’s the first stage of acceptance, you know.”
The cameraman’s voice chimed in again, amused. “That’s grief.”
“Well, I’m grieving her lack of enthusiasm for our undeniable chemistry!” Matthew quipped, pointing dramatically at you before turning to the camera. “Did you catch that? That’s good TV, folks. Make sure you zoom in on her frustration—it’s practically Shakespearean.”
You threw up your hands in defeat. “I’m quitting,” you declared, marching toward the door. “I’m leaving, and I’m never coming back.”
“Wait!” Matthew leaped up, his tin foil cape trailing behind him. “Before you go, do you want one of these coffees? I got your favorite!”
You stopped, turning slowly. “No.”
—
You stormed into Matthew’s trailer, not bothering to knock. He was sitting on the edge of a couch, exaggeratedly flipping through a script as he was recorded, but the moment he saw your expression, his face fell.
“Stop,” you said sharply, pointing a finger at him. “Stop telling people I’m your girlfriend. It’s weird as fuck, Matthew.”
He blinked, momentarily stunned, before awkwardly laughing and setting the script aside. “Oh, come on, Y/N. It’s just for the bit—it makes the show more, you know, engaging.”
You crossed your arms, glaring at him. “Engaging for who? Because I don’t think the fake audience gives a shit about your fake relationship narrative. And I’m certainly not here for it.”
Matthew shifted uncomfortably, avoiding your gaze. “I mean, technically, it’s not really fake—”
Your jaw dropped. “Excuse me?”
“Well,” he stammered, rubbing the back of his neck, “we’ve spent a lot of time together. People see that and, you know, assume things. I just… lean into it.”
“You lean into it?” you repeated incredulously. “Matthew, no one is assuming anything. You’re making it up and then selling it like a damn tabloid story!”
He held up his hands defensively. “Okay, okay, you’re right. I’ll stop. I swear. I’ll—” He paused, his eyes darting to the camera peeking through the crack in the door. “Is this… are we filming right now?”
You turned your head sharply to catch the lens disappearing behind the door frame. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Matthew grimaced. “It’s for the show?”
You groaned, dragging a hand down your face. “Matthew. Fix it. Now.”
“I will!” he promised, scrambling to his feet. “I’ll tell them it was all a misunderstanding. Like, tomorrow. Maybe.”
“Today,” you snapped, pointing at him one last time before turning on your heel to leave. “Or I’m moving to another continent, got it?”
Matthew sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Okay, okay. I’ll stop. I promise. No more telling people we’re together.”
You stared at him for a long moment, your arms still crossed. “You’d better,” you said firmly. “Because if I hear one more person ask me what our anniversary is or how you proposed, I’m going to lose it.”
“Got it,” he said quickly, nodding like a chastised child. “No more fake girlfriend stories. Swear on my vintage ghost-hunting equipment.”
“Good,” you said, heading for the door. But just as you reached for the handle, you turned back one last time. “And for the record? If you ever pull this stunt again, I’ll leak the footage of you crying at craft services over them being out of grape soda.”
Matthew gasped, clutching his chest in mock horror. “You wouldn’t.”
“Try me,” you deadpanned before slamming the door behind you.
Inside the trailer, Matthew let out a long, defeated sigh before muttering under his breath, “She totally loves me.”
—
After the cameras had been packed up for the day and the set was finally quiet, you made your way to Matthew’s trailer. The door was slightly ajar, and you knocked softly before stepping inside. He was mid-way through changing out of his Spencer Reid clothes, tugging off the familiar cardigan with his back turned to you.
“Hey,” you greeted, a playful grin tugging at your lips.
Matthew spun around quickly, his face lighting up with a matching smile the moment he saw you. “Hi, love,” he said warmly, walking over to you without hesitation. His hands found your waist as he pulled you closer. His expression softened as he asked, “Are we okay?” There was a hint of hesitation in his voice, like he was bracing for a blow.
You tilted your head, confusion flickering across your face. “Of course, baby,” you replied, your hand instinctively reaching up to cup his cheek. Your thumb brushed against the slight stubble there as you searched his eyes. “Why wouldn’t we be?”
Matthew let out an awkward laugh, his grip tightening slightly as if to ground himself. “You were just... really convincing today,” he admitted, his words tumbling out with a sheepish smile.
“Oh, that?” you chuckled softly, rolling your eyes. “Matthew, you know I have to sell it, or the bit doesn’t land. That’s the whole point, right? It’s supposed to be funny.”
“Yeah,” he agreed, though the nervous edge in his laugh hadn’t quite disappeared. “But for a second there, I thought you actually hated me.”
Your expression softened at his words, and you leaned in to press a quick kiss to his lips. “I could never hate you,” you murmured against his mouth. “You’re ridiculous, sure. Annoying sometimes? Definitely. But I love you, even when you make up insane fake-girlfriend narratives.”
A relieved grin spread across his face as he leaned his forehead against yours. “Good,” he said softly. “Because I really don’t want to get in trouble with my real girlfriend.”
You laughed, your fingers threading through his hair. “Well, you’re not off the hook just yet,” you teased, a mischievous glint in your eye. “You owe me dinner for all the grief you caused today.”
“Done,” Matthew replied instantly, his smile turning playful. “But only if you promise not to leak that grape soda footage. My reputation depends on it.”
“Depends on how good the dinner is,” you shot back with a smirk.
“Challenge accepted,” he said, his lips capturing yours again in a kiss that promised he’d make it up to you.

face masks ; spencer reid
synopsis: after a stressful case, all spencer wants to do is relax. what better way to that than have you spend the night doing face masks?
warnings: established relationship with fem!reader, earlyseasons!spencer in mind, spencer being a flustered cutie, mentions of touches & kisses, few mentions of spencer being insecure & reader assuring him, few mentions of nicknames/pet names (honey, ace)
“is it going to feel weird?”
spencer watched over your shoulder as you mixed the face mask solution together with water & the powder, eyes interested as the mixture slowly came together to form a slight green paste.
“it might feel a little cold, but that’s normal” you assured, smiling to yourself when you felt one of his slightly cold hands on your waist, his thumb slipping under your tank top a tad.
you both were huddled in front of his bathroom counter, cozy pyjamas on freshly showered skin, mops of hair still air drying. tonight was the first time you were sleeping over at spencer’s place since you made your relationship official, & the whole night just felt natural. it was nice to be in each others’ presence at the end of the day, especially after a tiresome one like today.
“will you put it on me, please?” he asked, the pleas sounding soft in your ears. you could tell he was feeling a little shy, even sheepish, & you thought it was cute.
you looked up at him with a smile, nodding to the closed toilet lid (which you cleaned prior). “of course”.
spencer pulled away from you to sit down, lightly tapping his sock clad feet against the bathroom floor tiles as he watched you follow suit with the bowl & face mask applicator in hand. “ready to relax?” you asked as you stood between his legs, noticing how his hands were itching to touch you.
with a knowing look, spencer let his hands settle comfortably on the sides of your bare thighs, thumbs moving in circles. “yes” he nodded enthusiastically as you gathered some of the face mask on the applicator, holding his cheek with one hand as you gently smoothed it on his skin.
you didn’t rush your movements, taking your time to apply the mixture evenly. spencer started to hum a gentle tune as you moved from his cheeks to his forehead, causing your lips to pull into a grin when your eyes met. as he was caught, he went silent to your dismay.
“you can keep going” you told him, more so murmured due to the closeness between you.
he slightly furrowed his brow. “it’s not weird?” spencer asked, voice matching your tone.
pausing your movements, you gave him that genuine twinkle in your eye as you shook your head ‘no’.
“i like it, it’s nice”
you continued applying the face mask when he started humming again, the mixture cracking a little on the skin by his mouth as he smiled, allowing himself to relax. you were done in no time, taking his hand in yours to pull him to the mirror so he could see your work.
“what’d you think, ace?” you asked as he took himself in, watching as he let out a chuckle at his reflection. the nickname you had for him, resulting from a long night weeks ago of playing cards, left him feeling gooey on the inside.
he squeezed your hand. “i look a little silly, but that’s part of it right?” he turned to you, feeling warmth grow in his chest as you nodded with a wide smile of your face.
spencer took a mental screenshot of you in this moment. he wanted to remember it.
“do you wanna do me?” you asked as you grabbed the bowl & applicator from the counter, mixing the face mask formula a bit. the double meaning of the statement didn’t cross your mind, & spencer was thankful you couldn’t see how red his cheeks were.
but he knew what you really meant.
“y-yeah, i’d be honoured” he took the bowl from your hands after he helped you onto the counter, tucking a piece of hair that fell from your ponytail behind your ear once you were settled.
“hi honey” spencer breathed out as he now stood between your legs, looking at you like you hung the moon.
“hi” your hands rested on his shoulders, fingers rubbing against the soft cotton of his t-shirt.
he soon got to work, trying to apply the mask evenly without accidentally brushing some of it against your hairline. spencer knew you wouldn’t care of he did, but he still wanted to avoid that—the perfectionism inside him was taking over.
“you’re doing good” you murmured as you watched him smooth the mask over your nose with his index finger, scrunching your nose as he slightly tickled your skin.
spencer didn’t even notice that your thighs were loosely wrapped around his waist now, his focus staying on applying the face mask.
with a small ‘boop’ to your nose, spencer was finished, helping you down from the counter to stand beside him.
“i tried making it as even as possible, the texture wasn’t as bad as i thought it was” he noted as you looked at your reflection, turning to him with a bright smile as he washed his hands, drying them off with a freshly cleaned towel.
“you’re a natural” you rubbed his upper arms, letting his hands fall to your lower back.
“how long do we wait?” he titled his head to the side.
“about fifteen minutes, then we wash it off with lukewarm water & a cloth” you answered, seeing a light bulb go off in his head.
“we could sit on the couch & start a movie—only if you want to” spencer proposed, adding the last part even though he didn’t need to.
he watched as you rubbed his skin with sticky sweet affection. he secretly wished your fingerprints would mark his skin if it meant that your touch would never leave him.
“i’d love to—you can pick” you winked, leaving spencer flustered as he followed you to the living room.
within a minute, your legs were in spencer’s lap as you both settled into the couch cushions, eyes on the the tv screen after you set a timer on your phone. however, you couldn’t stop looking at him as his hands subconsciously massaged your calves sweetly, a content look present on his face.
“i’m really happy you invited me here tonight” your voice broke spencer’s gaze on the tv, his soft eyes turning towards you & how your arm wrapped around his shoulders.
“i like having you around… you being here helps me relax” he admitted, subtly letting his eyes fall to your lips. you felt love bloom in your chest, spreading all over your skin at his words.
it was like you had read spencer’s mind as you leaned forward a tiny bit to press your lips to his in a longing peck. you tasted like like mint lip balm you wore, while spencer tasted like the tea he made an hour ago.
you both didn’t care if your face masks looked a little wonky after that kiss, both of you were just happy to be in each others’ company.

Kinktober Day 17: Writing On Skin + Thigh Humping + Frottage
Roommate!Spencer Reid x Chubby!Fem!Reader
Warnings: writing on skin, thigh f*cking, dry humping (frottage), spencer is a sexy lil shit, brief moment of insecurity, lowkey highkey hand kink, kinda phone/keep quiet sex
Summary: Did your roommate just use you like you’re…a piece of paper? And why does it make you want him to tear into you?
You yawn, outstretching your arms as you exit your bedroom towards the kitchen when you’re startled by a frantic Spencer. He’s on the phone, pacing back and forth in the living room. He perks up at your presence as he mouths and hand gestures for you to find him a pen.
You hurriedly do so, pressured by the urgency. Rummaging through the drawers in the kitchen, you find anything but a pen. You raise your pointer finger in the air, remembering you’d left a permanent marker on the coffee table from your late-night studying session yesterday. Rushing over to hand it over to him, you feel accomplished. But then he sends you a look of indifference, so you shoot him back with a look of displeasure.
“Paper?” He whisper-yells.
“When ya give a mouse a cookie…” You quip but he’s not time for your sassy behavior.
“Just a second, sir.” Spencer says into the phone and before you know it, he’s spinning you around so your back’s facing him.
“Hey! What are you—”
“Shh!” He harshly commands and it all happens so smoothly that you barely have time to process it at all. Bending you over the arm of the couch, his hand swiftly unlatches your bra while the other lifts the back of your shirt up and over your head.
“Ready!” Spencer says confidently and you squeal at the feather touch of the marker gliding along your back.
For a moment, insecurity settles and you tense. He’s seen your naked back countless times before in some backless tops and dresses you’ve worn. But this felt…intimate. Especially when his hands would occasionally rest on the folds in your back to use as both support and to keep you from squirming.
Spencer provides you a reassuring touch, sliding his free hand up and down one side of your back for a moment before giving your shoulder a gentle squeeze. It’s fleeting motion but you register it, melting away your anxieties as you allow yourself to indulge in the sensations he’s giving you.
God, you’ve stared at those hands on many occasions, worried he’d someday catch you. And admittedly, you’ve fantasized about them around your throat while alone in your bedroom. But now here they are touching a surprisingly sensitive part of you.
Spencer glues his hips against your voluptuous backside and you feel the familiar throb and line of heat against your thin shorts. You wiggle yourself back against him, smacking around his clothed large member between your plush globes. You look back in time to see him biting his lip as he tried desperately to concentrate on writing and not making a sound that would give you both away.
He does a particular thing with the marker where it traces down your spine and into the dip in your lower back that makes you shiver. Licking then biting your lips as if savoring the pleasure on your tongue, you quietly mewl.
He’s becoming impatient, slowly humping your ass until his cock slips between your plush thighs. You gush in the way he grips the back of your neck for leverage, giving a thrust you swear you can feel prodding the soaked lining of your pants. You close your legs around him, fearing that he’d just might enter you through your clothes and you’d certainly end up being too loud.
He fucks his hardened cock through the enclosed space, nails digging into your skin and trailing down your back at how good you feel.
“Yes, yes, yes,” He says into the phone though you know it’s meant for you. “Perfect. I’ll be there right away.”
He punctuates his last note entry into your skin then ends the call. He recaps the marker, tossing it somewhere before he’s creeping over your back to place wet kisses on your supple skin.
“You were perfect,” He whispers. “I wouldn’t mind using you as my canvas again, painting you beautiful with my love.”
He drags his teeth along your shoulder before whispering in your ear, making you arch into him. “Have you ever considered getting a tattoo?”

Look Of Love~ S. Reid x Fem! Reader
Summary: All the moments you had to tell him exactly how you feel, and yet it comes down to this one, where the words ‘I love you’ might save his life.
Warnings: Violence, angst, Reid being a kicked puppy, blood, tw! Tobias Hankel!
Season 2 Reid x Fem! Agent! Reader
Everything was going fine, wasn’t it? Well, about as fine as you can consider a case about a serial killer who believes he’s doing the work of God, to go.
But he was fine.
And that was what made things fine.
Well, until the whole thing crumbled and there was a sharp pain in your lungs that isn’t about to cease. JJ and Spencer left to find the location of Tobias Hankel’s home, that was about an hour ago. You had watched as he holstered his gun, preparing to get into the car and leave you.
“You’re still not coming with me.” He says towards your silent pining.
“Spence.” You argue, though he just turns to look at you amused.
“We’re just going to talk to this guy, he’s just a witness. They need you here.” He reasons, reassuring you with a smile.
His words always seemed to calm you down, it’s like magic, the Reid effect. So you nodded and rolled your eyes as he tucked your hair behind your ears, a quirk he’s always done because he knows how much you hate your pointy ears.
There was no argument, you and Spencer were the closest ones out of the rest. It’s a kind of peaceful friendship, the two of you just played in harmony so well. He knew all of your secrets, you knew almost all of his, and you weren’t shy to tug on his arm or secretly join your hand in his under the table during meetings. Spencer was more than okay with it, learning that’s just how you act with people you are comfortable with.
And while the two of you were convinced it wasn’t a relationship the team would bat an eye at, your friends often had secret discussions in regard to you.
“This whole ‘friendship’ scheme…do they really buy it?” Emily asked one morning as she watched you take a drink of coffee and cringe at the too sweet taste, then give it to Reid and take the one he had been drinking.
Reid isn’t a fan of germs.
But in his mind, yours aren’t so bad.
“Oh no, they’re still convinced they’re just close friends.” Morgan chuckled, answering the woman’s question.
“She loves him.” JJ added in a matter of fact tone. “It’s honestly a little sad…she doesn’t want to admit it out loud.”
“Why?” Emily’s brows furrow.
“Afraid she’ll ruin the friendship.” Morgan simply says.
At that, the female agent scoffs. “Reid’s obviously in love with her, no friend looks at another friend that way.”
They watch intently at the eye contact being shared, and how expressions change when Reid walks away from you.
“They look like kicked puppies.” JJ frowns. “Morgan, go talk to him, I can’t stand this anymore.”
The man looks at her in confusion. “And say what? I can’t just tell a man how he feels.”
Emily argues. “Reid doesn’t know what he feels, he’s confused, put him out of his misery.”
As Morgan goes to open his mouth, Hotch appears with his signature scowl and the conversation was dropped and done with.
Though it was never forgotten.
The entire team saw the lovesickness between the two of you…and yet, you couldn’t fix it.
There were plenty of times you could have confessed, many perfect moments that were ruined by your fear of the feeling not being mutual.
And after a while, the words seemed to try and escape on their own accord. Like in the moment he goes to leave and you call to him one last time.
“Okay, I’ll see you in a bit?” He said, scanning your face intently like he always seemed to do.
“Yeah, see you soon, I lo-”
Your heart beats loudly in your ears and you seal your lips, feeling betrayed by your own words. He looks at you, puzzled, then leaves.
You should have told him.
You should have just told him.
Because now, gun drawn, searching Hankel’s house, Spencer is no where to be found.
JJ was in the barn out back, looking rather disheveled and scared when she was found, but she was safe and unharmed and Spencer was gone.
“We thought he was just a witness, I swear. Then Reid figured out he was the UnSub and...” JJ said to you over and over, feeling guilt in her bones, blaming herself for his abduction. She swore that she should’ve stayed with him, not split up like he said to. She means well…you just can’t think straight.
The team stayed inside the house overnight, working off of minimal hours of sleep, and daybreak came and you were sitting on the couch with your head in your hands, thinking of some plan on how you were going to find him.
“Hey.” Penelope greeted as you walk into the room with a multitude of computers she was searching for any clues.
“Hey.” You sigh, leaning on the desk beside her. “Anything yet?”
She shakes her head. “No, sweet pea.”
You watch the videos of war and destruction on the screens, the right kind of fuel for a split personality maniac like Hankle.
“If Tobias is living as three people, and his father is the one that’s the evil side of his brain, then I think that’s who has taken Reid. We’ve been thinking like Tobias, we need to be thinking like his dad, right?” You question, turning to Morgan as he walks into the room.
He nods. “It’s a good idea, yeah.”
Suddenly, the computer screens in front of the three of you go black.
“What happened?” Morgan asks.
“I don’t know…” Penelope answers…
She tries to get the screens back up, but to all of your surprise, the live stream that comes on is something more horrific than what you were previously watching.
“Spencer.” The name leaves you as well as all the air in your lungs.
There he was, your pretty boy, sat in a chair, bloody and bruised and out of it.
Morgan yells for the others, but you’re frozen in place.
“Track him, Pen.” You say in a panic.
“I can’t, Hankle is only streaming this to his home computer.” She says in disbelief.
“What do you mean?” You worry. “This is some kind of joke? This is just for us to see?”
She nods slowly.
The team watches closely, listening to the way Hankle forces Reid to choose an innocent couple to get murdered.
You seriously think you’re going to be sick.
He struggles on the screen, choosing someone to be spared torture instead.
And as fast as he was in front of you, he’s gone from the live feed even faster. You stare at the blank screen with red eyes, then leave the room completely.
A full day wasted, you weren’t close enough to find him. You go back to couch and prepare for another sleepless night.
~~
At some point, you must’ve fallen asleep, because you wake with a start at the feeling of something being different.
You make your way to the computer room where everyone is hunched over, looking at a map Penelope brings up.
“Good, you got some sleep.” Hotch says, barely sparing you a glance as you enter.
“What’s going on?” You ask, leaning into Morgan’s side.
“We think we found him.” He says to you, watching your eyes widen.
“What?” Your voice cracks and any lingering feeling of sleep is gone.
“We’re heading out in five.”
You didn’t need to be told twice.
Tying your hair up and rubbing your face, you pull a kevlar vest on and cinch the velcro shut. The entire car ride to the little shack, you’re twitching.
Everyone shares a look, because the way you act now is the whole reason they didn’t wake you when the live feed was back up. If you were to watch the way Reid was being beaten, Gideon isn’t sure you could handle it.
The team storms the shack, and you try hard not to lose hope when you come up empty handed yet again.
You curse to yourself. “They were here.”
“They couldn’t have gotten far, they’re on foot.” Hotch nods, immediately turning back out to search the cemetery you were in.
On high alert, you search through the dark, adrenaline coursing through your veins.
“We’re gonna find him.” Morgan promises, but you can’t focus on anything besides locating Reid.
Closer and closer, you can almost feel it in your bones, the way your instincts guid you in a direction.
The only thing that halts your step is the sound of a single gun shot.
No.
No, it wasn’t going to end like this. It couldn’t.
Quickly, you head to that noise with your partners following after you.
“Spencer!” You shout, voice raw. “Spence?”
He looks up from Tobias’ body, and it’s like the entire world stops spinning. He’s there, he’s alive, he’s breathing ragged breaths and it’s all okay.
Hotch is there to help him to his feet, guiding him to stumble forward until he gains his footing. His head is dizzy and his hearing might be a little echoey but in a single moment, you’re there.
He grips onto you like you’re his lifeline, and you wrap your arms around him, stumbling to support his weight. A hand in his dirty hair, he feels your touch and knows you have to be real. That it’s your real form here that’s fighting to hold back tears and not the visions he’d see when he was out of it.
“It’s okay, you’re safe now.” You promise, knowing he might not realize he’s shaking and mumbling.
Pulling back just a few inches, he’s leaning his forehead to yours and breathing too quickly.
“Hey, hey.” You say softly, gently cupping his face. “Look at me, Spencer, look at me, sweetheart.”
He sees the deep look in your worried eyes and tries to form a sentence, but for once, his big brain can’t figure out what to say.
You do though.
And for once, you aren’t scared to say it. Actually, you’re afraid of not saying it.
“Spence.” You breathe out, he breathes in like your air is what matters. Your hand gently smooths blood soaked hair back, trying to get him to calm down.
He says your name in reassurance to himself.
“Hey, I’m right here.” You say. “I’m right here, and I love you.”
His brain fog seems to clear, his confused brown eyes are searching your face like they always tend to do, and those three words are making a small smile pull on his cracked lips.
~~
The hospital trip is almost too brief, just enough for him to get checked out and cleaned up, then you’re back on the plane to head home.
Curled in the corner of the small couch, you are barely asleep like the others, listening to music, head leaned against the wall. That’s before gentle hands pull your headphones off your ears.
Your eyes open and turn to see Spencer, sitting down beside you.
“Hey.” You whisper.
He sets the headphones down. “Hi.”
“You feel okay?” You ask, noticing the way he pulls your knees away from your chest so you sit normally.
He nods. “I feel about as good as someone who just got beat up would.”
You smile at his humor.
He tucks the hair framing your face, behind your ears, as always. “I was in and out of consciousness when you found me, I think, so I need to make sure that you actually said it and I wasn’t just lucid dreaming.”
You reach up to grab his hands. “Said what?”
He takes a deep breath. “That…you love me?”
His eyes are hopeful and wide, that’s what makes you nod.
“You weren’t imagining it…I love you, Spence.”
A smile forms on his face. “That’s good then.” He says, sure of himself.
“Yeah? Why’s that?”
That when he flips your hold of his hands and joins one in his. “Because I love you too.”
There it was, the confession you’ve wanted for so long. There’s a moment of silence, then your free hand cups his jaw and he moves so close, your lips part just to breathe out slowly and then he’s there. Kissing you.
It’s soft, like you’ve been doing this for years.
He licks his lower lip after he pulls away, trying to savor the taste. Brushing your forehead to his for a second, you lean back and motion for him to follow. There’s no words that need to be spoken as he makes himself a bed in your lap, lying on his side that hurts the least and presses his face into your stomach.
Out like a light, the both of you.
Morgan nudges Emily a while later when they both wake, and he motions over to the lump on the couch. The woman grins.
“It took no interference at all.” She says.
Morgan smirks. “Nope, just a near death experience.”
Hotch scowls as usual. “We’re going to have to talk to HR about this.”

Spencer Reid’s new morning routine after getting with bau!reader.
When Spencer started dating you, things went off quickly and you both agreed that it would be best to start living together — after all, you couldn’t keep your hands off each other and sometimes he was just too tired to drive to your place after a long case, what he didn’t expect was the insatiable hunger you felt for him every single morning.
Sure, since you’ve been sleeping in the same bed, his morning boners have been way more common than usual, — specially because you sleep with your body clung onto his, but that’s not something he’s complaining about — but now he’s having to explain to your coworkers how you’re both getting late to work almost every morning, because usually, you’re just having sex until it’s too late to get ready for work.
“You know, Morgan’s starting to ask around and — uhm… we should really start getting dressed.” Spencer tries to get you off him, not that he doesn’t want a piece of that pussy every day, he’s even read about what gets you like this right in the morning, yet he just doesn’t know.
“Uh-huh…” you answer, bluntly uninterested in what he’s saying as you straddle him in the sheets, moving to remove your tee, which is really his, and pulling his pyjama pants down.
“You’re going to drive me insane…” he breathes, one hand moving to his hair. “Or get me fired.” He mutters, but you’re quick enough to take his lips into a kiss.
It’s not long until you’re bouncing on his cock like you depend on it, his eyes rolling back as he shivers and whimpers, hands lightly flexing on your waist as his head tosses back on the sheets, its moments like this that he doesn’t really want to get to work faster.
“Fuckkk, y’feel so good.” His eyes glance over the clock, your hand slightly moves to grab his face, his attention goes back to you.
“Sorry Spence, just a little longer.” You lean down to kiss him again, your tongue moves past his lips and his hands go up your body, taking your tits on each hand.
When you’re on top of him like that, like he’s everything you need, Spencer is not that sure if this is that much of a bad idea.
