after watching ryans apology, all i can say is i really wish ryan had a exit strategy. i wish he would’ve actually started streaming or something so he doesn’t feel like he has to leave the internet or anything and leave his online presence. i think if anyone could get better in this situation, its him, but he would need guidance outside of matt to do so.
#supermega#i never hated their guts or anything. i just found them very misguided and unsure how to deal with serious issues#i think his apology was good especially for what he was being accused of. he held accountability and didnt shift blame#i genuinely think leighton spewing shit made things go farther than it had to. The issue was SA and all their secrets got aired out#and it seems like matt and ryan are getting the most hate instead of don and jim which is very sick.#and the way ryan was talking i think sm really is over which is actually very sad because it doesn’t necessarily *have* to end. they just#need to do better… thats always what they had to do#seeing people be immature and post memes under their response videos on twitter is also very upsetting because they are good responses#if you guys wanna talk about it in asks then just send a message because wow#i still think them waiting until they got aired out to address everything is insane though. we all knew that avoiding their problems would c#catch up to them eventually. but its sad to see thw situation get tainted because a ex employee wanted to stir the pot

'The Snapshot: In Netflix’s Ripley, Andrew Scott is Thomas Ripley, a sociopathic grifter living in New York in the early 1960s who is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Rome and bring the man’s son home to America. This begins a journey of deceit, fraud and murder.
(The limited series premiered April 4 on Netflix, and all episodes are now streaming)
The Performance: Criminals are fun to play. They’re inherently bad, and being bad is fun. That’s why some actors revel in playing villains because they get to take these bad characters — bad as in lacking moral fortitude, not in substance — and make them somehow sympathetic. The best villains, after all, believe that they’re right. Take the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thanos. He was a genocidal maniac, but in his heart, he only wanted peace. Mass murder and the deaths of quadrillions of living beings were just a necessary side effect.
Thomas Ripley, however, has no such lofty ambitions, he’s just a low-level con man out for himself, preferably with as little effort as possible. The hero, or rather anti-hero, of a series of famous novels by Patricia Highsmith, Ripley has been adapted before, most memorably by Anthony Minghella in the 1999 film The Talented Mr. Ripley. In that version, Matt Damon played the role to moderate acclaim. The issue was that he was overshadowed by the man playing the ill-fated Dickie Greenleaf, Jude Law, who scored an Oscar nomination for his efforts.
There’s no chance of that happening this time around.
In the latest screen version, Netflix has given us an eight-episode limited series from writer-director Steven Zaillian, who won an Oscar for writing Schindler’s List. The title role is played by Irish thespian Andrew Scott, who just about explodes off the screen in a remarkable turn that is alternately seductive and menacing, and so powerful that, no matter who else is in the frame, you can’t take your eyes off him.
The mistake a lot of actors make when playing a sociopath is to tip their hand too early. Giving clues as to their intentions and inherent evil. Scott avoids this by keeping a very cool veneer, even as he’s plotting how he’s going to get where and what he needs. There’s no wink at the audience, no self-conscious smirk to clue us into what he’s got going on. Instead, he gives us a man who appears to be the essence of calm. He is serene. He is a glassy pond at sunrise, without the slightest ripple, until he is ready.
That moment comes at the end of the first episode, when he finally shows us some semblance of his true self, in a chilling moment that sets up the rest of the story. No spoilers here, but suffice it to say, it’s much more menacing than seductive, although there is plenty of the latter in store.
Scott is a brilliant actor who has played his share of villains, but what makes his Ripley so much more interesting than, say, Damon’s, is how relatable he makes the criminal feel. There’s a quiet desperation to him at the story’s beginnings, but not an overwhelming one. Scott acts so much with his eyes that we both empathize with him and wonder what’s going on behind them. They may be the windows to the soul, but Scott wields them instead as mirrors, and that paradoxically serves to draw us in further.
One doesn’t have to love villains to love particular villains. We can pick and choose, based on who the villain is or, even better, how that villain is portrayed. James Bond fans have their favorite versions of Blofeld, for instance, and Batman fans have their favorite Joker. Take some time to sit down with Andrew Scott. He’ll likely become your favorite Ripley.
The Career: Andrew Scott had already been a working actor for more than a decade when he showed up in the BBC’s monumental 2010 version of Sherlock, which made Benedict Cumberbatch an international star. He appeared in both Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers, for instance, and played Colonel William Smith in four episodes of HBO’s John Adams opposite Paul Giamatti. He was in lots of British TV shows and some short films, and he was someone who had something special.
It was his turn as the villainous Moriarty in those Sherlock episodes that took him to the next level. Suddenly, this was a guy who could play a sociopath with charm and wit, adding to the considerable deviousness and menace that would show up again in several nasty roles, of course, most recently Netflix’s Ripley. In the immediate aftermath of Sherlock came Daniel Craig’s fourth outing as James Bond, Spectre, in which Scott was the traitorous C, leader of the British domestic secret service and ally of Christoph Waltz’s Blofeld.
But of course, Scott is far more than that, which he proved in the 2019 second season of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s seminal Amazon series Fleabag, in which he showed up as a Catholic priest who falls in love with Waller-Bridge’s title character. Scott’s priest was sexy and charming and romantic and made it clear that there was more to this actor than just villains. That was hammered home yet again in 2023, with his leading turn in All of Us Strangers, as a screenwriter who gets a mysterious new way to heal from losing his parents 30 years before. Scott is heartbreaking in the movie, offering a hopeful sadness that is somehow never off-putting. On the contrary, it only serves to make the audience feel for him even more.
The point is, you can’t pin down Andrew Scott. He’s as versatile as they come, and now we get eight episodes of seeing that versatility in action. It’s not just Mister Ripley who’s talented.'

apocalypse au bf!rafe x oc!
*a/n: female love interest (i named her rory) some angst, violence and also inspo from the last of us*
“rory.. what’s that?” matt froze, his hand lifted from grabbing his drink, finger outstretched from the glass to gesture to her hand that laid at her torso. his face was pale, almost sickly as the rest of the room slowly started to quiet and look at her, too.
rory’s smile dropped, her hand immediately moving to yank her sleeve down into her clammy palm. “w-what?” she stuttered, her breathing uneven and harsh. matt placed his glass down on the coffee table before quickly rushing over to her and grabbing her wrist in a way that was anything but gentle.
she winced and attempted to yank it away, but his grip was incredibly strong— his touch pressing into her wound. “stop moving!” he growled, wrestling with her until they ended up on the floor as she struggled to keep her sleeve down.
rory kicked and wiggled but to no avail. nobody moved to help her. matt was set on examining her wound. his hand pressed her wrist into the hardwood floor as his other hand moved to roll her sleeve down. before he could, he was harshly yanked off of her by the collar of his sweater.
“what the fuck are you doing?” rafe seethed between his teeth, the firewood he had gone to collect now tossed to the side. he glanced at rory, scanning her huddled up body against the wall for any injuries before returning his piercing gaze back on matt.
his whole body felt hot and tense. he clenched and unclenched his fists over and over. he didn’t want to get violent. well, scratch that actually. he did want to. but he knew rory didn’t like it and it technically wouldn’t solve anything.
matt shuffled to his feet, tugging on his collar to straighten it out. “she’s fucking bit!” he huffed, his voice shaky. rafe’s head snapped towards rory and he quickly made his way over to his girlfriend and knelt beside her. she pulled her knees to her chest, hiding her hands in her lap. despite the news he was just told, rafe was still ever so gentle with his girl.
“let me see,” he spoke, just to her. their eyes held each other’s for an intense moment before she held her wrist out to him. he pushed her sleeve up her arm just above her wrist. a bloody gash appeared as he did. rory’s eyes pooled with tears, daring to fall at any moment as she studied rafe’s expression. she watched as it changed from anger to concern, and now to what she could only recognize as fear.
she was going to die.
rafe paced back and forth outside his bedroom door. it was shut and locked with rory sleeping inside. he couldn’t trust the others, he knew how they reacted previously when someone in the group got bit. it wasn’t pretty. he’d be damned if he let that happen to his sweet girl.
he jumped at the sudden hand on his shoulder. “easy, man.” ryan said, to which rafe immediately relaxed. ryan was like a brother to him, he was the whole reason he met rory. he saved both of them at separate times, welcomed them into the group even when the others didn’t particularly want him to.
rafe, for the first time in hours, sat down at the top of the staircase- his bedroom still in his peripheral. ryan sat next to him, waiting for him to speak.
he sat there for a minute, his head in his hands. “i just don’t understand how i let this happen.” he mumbled, his voice strained with emotion. he really couldn’t. he was with rory almost every second of every day. maybe it was due to the fact that he couldn’t bare the thought of her getting hurt, that he would rather die than see her in any type of pain. physical or emotional.
“you can’t blame yourself, cameron.” ryan said, outstretching his legs on the lower stairs. his hand was still on rafe’s shoulder, giving it a squeeze as he spoke. “when did she get bit?” he asked. rafe wanted to throw up at that question. he hadn’t even thought about how long was left until she turned into one of those bastards, until his warm angel was unrecognizable and cold. soulless.
he was quiet for a moment. “she has maybe five hours.” he said, his hand moving up to wipe at his eyes. “i can’t- i can’t be the one who-“ ryan quickly cut him off with another squeeze on his shoulder. “i wouldn’t expect you to be.” rafe nodded, he knew that was a silent offer from ryan that he would do it.
“rafe?” a soft voice called from behind them. rafe quickly stood to his feet at the sight of rory. she stood in the doorway of his bedroom, the door barely ajar as if she was too scared to fully exit. he gave ryan a quick glance to which he returned with a nod before rafe followed rory into the bedroom.
“how are you feeling?” he asked, locking the door behind him again as he watched rory climb back into bed. she buried herself into the blankets and various stuffed animals that she had collected from many abandoned places. she yawned, tightening her grip on her favorite one- a penguin named benson.
she blinked slowly at her boyfriend as he sat at the end of the bed. “sleepy,” she replied, her eyes moving to glance at her bandaged wrist that held benson to her chest. she too wondered how long she had left. part of her didn’t want to know, because would she really want her last moments to be spent in bed..
rafe nodded, his expression stern as he leaned forward and lowered his voice. “i’m not going to let them hurt you.” he assured her, his gaze trained on her and her only. sure, he had made it seem like he was going to let ryan handle it.
but in reality, there was no way in hell that anyone was.

I was just thinking about how ridiculous it is that both Ewan Mitchell and Harry Collett say that their characters learn from/aspire to be like Daemon. It’s such a clear case of producer bias because not only does it not fit with s1, it’s found nowhere in F&B. Jace had better than things to do than look up to Lord Flea Bottom and Aemond didn’t seem to think of him at all until AFTER B&C. And then it was more in a “how many ways can I kill him” way than in a “ideal Targaryen prince” way
Hi!
Truth be told, it's not the biggest problem of this season but still I agree. It seems (with all the recent plot developments in mind) that Daemon is being set up to turn out a decent guy after all (although the writing tables could turn at any moment) - so apparently both supposed good guy in the making and the bad guy should look up to him in some way (le sigh). Guess, Ewan and Harry kind of roll with it (maybe their respect and admiration for Matt helps here - in Ewan's case it certainly does) but plotwise it is not a very good move, to put it mildly.
"You shall not make for yourself an idol", right, Ryan?

Apparently Blood & Cheese was going to include a scene where Alicent is raped whilst they kill Jaehaerys, it was only removed because Olivia outright refused to do it, following this she, Emma and Matt called a meeting to discuss the direction HotD is going in.
So the “feminist writers” were following in D&D’s footsteps with copious amounts of torture porn, this was their plan to make Team Green more “sympathetic”.
It also makes me wonder how they thought this would work out whilst simultaneously saying there’s still hope for Rhaenicent. Rhaenyra orders the assault of the supposed love of her life but Alicent still wants to be with her? Or was this going to be solely Daemon to emphasise once again that both women are nothing more than 24/7 victims controlled by evil men despite being QUEENS OF WESTEROS.
Yeah, I've heard that about them wanting B&C to rape Alicent. Ryan Condal has added a lot of violence against women that wasn't there in the books, he adds torture porn and calls it "realistic". Good for Matt, Emma and Olivia for standing their ground though.
I honestly don't think they are going to blame Rhaenyra for B&C, they are unable to let women have agency and autonomy. So yeah, they are definitely blaming Daemon. Again.

Q and A interview with Will Ramos in Metal Hammer Magazine. Transcript under the cut.
ARE LORNA SHORE BRINGING DEATHCORE BACK?
Lorna Shore's growler-in-chief, Will Ramos, answers your questions on goblin screams, dream collabs and singing with a camera down his throat
SINCE WILL RAMOS joined Lorna Shore in 2021, the US deathcore band have been on a mission that's seen them leapfrog to the forefront of their scene. Will's mind-boggling vocal abilities have turbocharged them, and Hammer crowned last year's sprawling symphonic fourth record, Pain Remains, "the most essential deathcore album of the decade". Last summer, Will sang with a camera down his throat so we could all see what the hell was going on in there, but now, in his biggest challenge yet, he takes on your questions...
What's your favourite type of scream to do? - N4turalbornkll, Twitter
"They're called 'tunnel screams, like if you're going through a tunnel. But I like calling them 'goblin screams'. It's like two different tones going on at the same time. It sounds really cool."
What bands got you into metal? - Ben Ryan, Facebook
"Linkin Park was definitely one of them. Meteora... freaking Hybrid Theory! I listen to albums from my childhood all the time - I still love them and they still hold up; Bullet For My Valentine, Lamb Of God, AFI... I had a couple of friends that listened to metal that I used to play videogames with, and one of the bands they played me was AFI. One song, Affliction, was just straight-up screaming the entire song. I was like, This. Is. Crazy?' Then my friend said, 'Dude, here's a bunch of bands that you should check out?' It was Lamb Of God, Whitechapel, Linkin Park."
How long do you think you'll be able to maintain your iconic screaming voice? Ten years? Thirty? Forever - Nettels_, Twitter
"I haven't fallen off yet. I don't know. Hopefully forever, but every day I make a joke, I'm like, This is the one. This is going to be the last one, this is it!"
What other genres do you love? - Jordan Bonvicino, Facebook
"I don't listen to a lot of metal so much anymore. I was looking at my Spotify Wrapped from last year... It was ap, psychedelic rock, indie music, and metal was fourth. I love bands like [Japanese singer-songwriter] Joji. I love Mac Miller. I love Drake. And I love sad music, so stuff like (post-hardcore artist] Bilmuri. They're metal, but they're also very sing-y. And I like that because now that I've been doing so much screaming in my life, I want to get better at something that's not screaming - so, singing. That's the next tier for me right now."
Are Lorna Shore bringing deathcore back? - Ed Burns, email
“I don't know if we're 'bringing it back'. We're doing really good for ourselves, and I love that people are hopping onto the train. That's incredible. Ilove that it's inspiring other people to even do more metal music. I just do what I do and I can't think about what I'm doing. I still can't look at myself in the mirror and be like, 'That's one of the big guys."
Hammer: Who were 'the big guys' to you?
“The ones that inspired me were late Suicide Silence vocalist] Mitch Lucker, Phil Bozeman (Whitechapell and Trevor Strnad (late Black Dahlia Murder vocalist]."
Do you avoid certain foods before singing, and if so, which ones? - Matt Doherty, Facebook
"I'd say eat light foods - if you eat something crazy heavy, you're going to feel very tired. I have maybe a slice of pizza, but you won't see me eating five or six slices. Ilove ramen and ramen is something that I'd have all the time when I'm on tour just because it's spicy, so it clears your nasal passages and it's soup, so it's good for your stomach."
What's your favourite Lorna Shore breakdown? - Undeado8, Twitter
"I think it would be Hollow Sentence off Immortal (2020 album, featuring ex-vocalist C] McCreery]. If we're talking about the newer stuff, Sun//Eater is definitely my favourite breakdown. It's the hardest song in the set. We have a sample of a katana [samurai sword] coming out and slicing something open. This specific sound is the unsheathing of the sword. It's halfway in, where the breakdown gets even heavier, so I just imagine a moshpit of people with inflatable swords killing each other."
Would you ever re-record Immortal? - Corey Hunter, Facebook
"I have, and I'm doing it for myself. I made a Patreon, and I told myself, I'm going to start redoing all of the old Lorna Shore albums."
Hammer: Would the band ever re-release the older albums with you on vocals?
"As a band we wouldn't - we want to have forward momentum. Art is always going to get better as long as you don't go back and start fixing things. We're like, 'What's the next thing? I'll put out Immortal on my own, but that's it."
What is your favourite song on Pain Remains? - Alex Chiczewski, Facebook
"Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames. It's the saddest one. I told you, Ilove sad music! You get to a point where you listen to breakdowns so many times, you become a little numb to them. For me, the only thing that holds me onto music after the breakdowns, is how do I feel about it? It's not about the melody or the breakdown. It's hearing the lyrics and I feel what this person is feeling and that it feels real. That's why I love Pain Remains I - it's the most genuine."
What is your best advice for dealing with crippling depression? - Zare Ralf Karadzin, Facebook
"Distract myself. Everyone alwavs sees me as Labradoodle Will. That's great, but I'm just like everybody out there and everybody gets sad sometimes. I dealt with depression a lot when I was a little kid, and if there's anything that's helped me, it was trying to distract myself with things Ilike to do, whether it be screaming or my little RC (remote control] cars, or playing Minecraft. Take everything day by day... conquer this day. Then you know tomorrow is another day, and you beat that day. Eventually you start putting yourself in the cycle where you'll have more good days than you have bad days."
What bands would you like to collab with in the future? - Notabumbleb88, Twitter
"Id love to collaborate with Sleep Token. They're my favourite freaking band right now. They are so incredibly good; Vessel and I have very similar singing ranges, too. Also, I Declare War, because they're just so incredibly heavy... In Flames... and Ilove Oceano - their vocalist Adam Warren is so good."
Hammer: What do you think a Sleep Token/Lorna Shore collab would sound like?
"Itd be insane. I don't know if our fans would love it, but I would. Let's go!"
What does it mean to you to be the Latino/Hispanic representation of deathcore and heavy music in general? - Shaun Fontanez, Facebook
“It's incredibly stressful. I don't speak Spanish, so a lot of Hispanic people will come up to me just like, 'Yo, dude, I'm so happy that you're here; you're Hispanic, I'm Hispanic!' I'm like, 'Thanks, man, appreciate that. I'm going to tell you right now I don't speak Spanish' and see that shock on their face. I do wish to speak more Spanish. I am a bad Puerto Rican... Or maybe I am the perfect Puerto Rican, because if you know anything about Puerto Ricans, half of them also don't speak Spanish. So, shout out to Puerto Rico."
How does it feel to have such a sudden and rapid growth in notoriety? - Christopher Andrew Ryan, Facebook
"It has been very big. Honestly, it's an incredible thing to see. We're very happy that we're all able to live off the art that we're putting out, not a lot of people can sav that. We're so caught up in the race, though, we're focused on what's next so that we can stay up here. If we fall off, you can only get to this point once, and then you lose it. We're trying to ride it for as long as we can."
How difficult was it singing with a camera down your throat? - Andy Pierce, email
"I didn't think it was going to sound good at all because I was so numb and mucus-y. When you’re doing vocals, you don't want mucus because it gets in the way and you can't even feel anything down there. It's almost like if you sang out loud and you just covered your ears, and you couldn't hear what you're putting out. That's what it felt like! Hopefully it'll be better next time (now I know what to expect!)”

Yes, it's a little sad the way George is being called out because he wants to say the things he didn't like about HotD, specifically season 2. He was more than satisfied with the first one, although the changes were more or less criticized, but he didn't say anything bad and now that he wants to give his opinion as a writer/creator of the Song of Ice and Fire universe, they call him unprofessional (because they name him as a producer) and that he owes us more books, I even saw someone saying how he should have written the dance.
"unprofessional"
below or contrary to the standards expected in a particular profession
not having or showing the experience, skill, etc., that is expected or appropriate in a person who is trained to do a job well
not exhibiting a courteous, conscientious, or generally businesslike manner in the workplace
I agree completely. I'm not sure what "professional" means in this context, I listened to a TikTok creator who argued that GRRM leaving a quick, strongly-worded, strongly-toned paragraph at the end of a long post abt problems with S2 was unprofessional bc it was vague enough to open up
The thing is, does it really matter when, if we're talking exclusively about any sort of material prospects that GRRM could have to have more of his work adapted into TV/streaming OR the show's viability/popularity in streaming:
HBO owns any and all ASoIaF adaption now and in the future
HBO will continue to make adaptations even after he's gone most likely no matter how "unprofessional" he acts, bc they are getting rich from it and that's all they care about anyway
and GRRM is an old man who's now richer than he needs to be
yes, he is focused on ASoIaF, and this is his more famous as well as the only (I think) adapted part of his oeuvre
if he really has signed away his own work to be HBO's material forever and ever (as I heard) and has not assured that he could be the final authority for stuff NOT having to do with costs and those practical things AND if people really feel as if nothing he could say abt the show could deprive them of loving the show...why the claims of "unprofessionalism" if you're just going to watch the next season and keep HBo's pay up?
a) some of the actors don't even watch the show OR they avoided knowing too much abt the orig story so they wouldn't compare and be disappointed or stay focused on Ryan's vision (out of the mouth of Steve-Corlys' actor); b) some don't watch bc it's just a thing among actors to not watch what they are a part of, therefore how are their feelings really hurt, esp when the running line among fans who criticize the show is that the only or one of the few things abt it that were nonnegotiably good were the actors? When people ride and die even when some say Emma is not that good looking or BR-ugly or they say Matt is ugly and the responses are ranging from "no" to "no one else can play Daemon, I just can't see it"? The critiques are never abt the actors; c) GRRM has ALWAYS praised the actors, esp Paddy and Phia; d) the critiques were ALWAYS abt the writing or choices in STORYTELLING, not the fucking actors and non-writing crew! I swear to god, things get fed into the "Machine of Fandom Disengnuity" every other week: most recently it was why people disliked how HotD did B&C and some said "oh you wanted it to be bloodier, you just want to se a kid die a gory death" (as if what was presented on screen, even just by audio, wasn't "gory" by itself since hearing a literal child's head get sawed off instead of quickly cut off still presents an "image", one with even more physical suffering--again, gore).
I really wanna know, WHAT is at real, deep stake here? HBO/HotD's reputation (S2 was mediocre, and I didn't like S1 but it certainly was just of shoddier quality than the last and people still loved it apparently) that they never really cared abt in the first place bc they know people will keep coming back for more? Or the justification for why they love ASoIaF?
Bc, again, if you really go by books =/= show, you'd be able to just enjoy the show for all of its flaws when they are presented to you as flaws OF when the AUTHOR OF THE ORG STORIES shares their opinion abt the work regardless! Why do you feel the need the label his actions as "unprofessional"
Why do you really care enough to try to argue the man--who said similar abt the separation of bk vs show atp--shouldn't give his two cents on the adaptation of his life's work? And esp if you argue that he doesn't have the obligation to give you more books/complete the series? So he's obligated to let us/you keep our blinders on abt the lore of his books, but not obligated to give us more books? Mayeb I'm missing something here.
Another thing, yes, he has been in the TV industry for long before ASoIaF; there have been some changes and he seems to stay back in ComicCons and writer's meetings. Still, if being "professional" means you need to shut up abt what you don't like abt an adaptation, point blank period, bc outstanding actors or non-responsible people will feel bad about it or the show will suffer or be your work is no longer yours to determine the meaning and themes of once you "sold" it...we're in serious trouble from self justifying capitalist interest.
Oh, and don't forget, when RYAN CONDAL decided to say that:
Daemon was the internet's "boyfriend" when he shouldn't be despite having to know he'd be a fan fav bc he already was one for years bc he's seemingly upset he hasn't been able to ubiquitously convince the female portion that he's a feminist...when such a statement is beyond condescending
the fans of the show/bks don't know the story as well as he does [pic below], when we all know GRRM is not often in the writer's room or has much authority on how they will write the series AND has gone on record to say he actually wanted to write the Dance when Aemon and Baelon were alive!
Basically saying/dismissing fans' critiques for "I know what I'm doing" and "trust me, bro". How is this not "unprofessional" and actually, "Ryan is right? to tell bk readers to shove it"?!
GRRM's July inflammatory post mentioned Maelor [below] and how he'd talk abt that...Ryan's post above hasn't aged well.
And you can see that he already hinted at his writing a blog post abt his issues with B&C; how would he not add other stuff he felt strongly about?! This was a long time coming and some were genuinely surprised not at the strength of his language and his being so direct (that is actually surprising, considering how he said nothing abt how HBO did Dany, Catelyn, Jaime even, Tyrion, the Three Eyed Crow, magic in general, etc. dirty that I've seen) but that he dislikes or could dislike the show or aspects of it when they are so used to using his praises or exec seat as way to say the show is valid for MONTHS and now can't always feel comfortable using it.
And no, I don' think that many TikTok creators are being paid to say they loved the show. I watched and listened to many, and they genuinely love the show or certain aspects of it when they say so. Let's take them at their word. All the power to them, sometimes--as many current HotD fans of S2 have said--people just want to either see their favs onscreen and realized or they are there for messy-boots drama and "comedic", "unserious" entertainment (which is funny, bc HotD has served genuinely interesting and non-superficial tidbits here and there but what's aggravating is how they almost immediately tend to not develop or some fans refuse to get into really acknowledging the problems HotD creates with is storytelling decisions both out and in the universe [race, gender like how they wrote Rhaenyra's sons and the Velaryons or the women's....passiveness and dragging an inevitable war post-Lucerys or trying to maintain Rhaenicent]).
