The last time I did this, I remember, to my shock, liking Masou Gakuen HxH the most (even though I found the pacing a little rushed in some places and the fan service hamfisted), so for me to find the most raunchy of the 2010s anime to be the best out of the few I watched says something about their narrative quality.

Have trends changed? Outside of the isekai villainess and GL/GL-coded girls band/music boom, IMO I'd say not too much, so it's still very much hit or miss for me at the moment.

Thinking of putting myself through the madness again of watching isekai/battle school fantasy/harem anime like I did a couple years back just to see which ones I'd like the best (and which favorite characters, if any, I'd want to draw).
