Smartex announces 2024 modern textile factory committee with focus on “Building the Supply Chain Data Highway”

In 2023, Smartex published the first-ever Modern Textile Factory (MTF) Report, pulling together insights from a group of experienced industry stakeholders ranging from factory owners & operators, material & process innovators, former brand executives, & policy experts.

The report covered how the four key industry trends of price, speed, quality & compliance were driving a necessary seachange in factory operations - making the modernization of operations crucial to maintaining competitiveness. Highlighting five pivotal pillars for factory enhancement, the report underscored the critical importance of resource efficiency, real-time data utilization, data-driven decision-making, stakeholder integration, & fostering high-quality jobs in safe work environments.

The 2024 MTF Committee will meet four times this year to discuss this key topic moderated by Smartex’s Innovation Director, Max Easton. In December, Smartex will release the second edition MTF Report pulling together the key insights from the Committee’s discussions.

As concluded in 2023, if factories want to thrive in a market that demands the same competitive prices as well as increased speed, quality & compliance, they need to accelerate their modernization now. Many challenges exist - but an inevitable change is afoot. By the end of this year, the MTF Committee hopes to be able to shed some light on its direction so we can keep building the Modern Textile Factories we all need.

Na Rua Primavera o Filho de Mirna Cristina Briga com o Filho do Vizinho Cabo da Polícia Militar da Rotam João Carlos Pinto Criscolo , enquanto Mirna Cristina na Frente da Casa de Criscolo foi Reclamar para a Mulher do Referido , me Aproximei e falei com Ela para Proibir os Filhos dela de Brincar com Luan , Filho de Mirna Cristina e Criscolo Sem Camisa e Embriagado Fora do Horário de Trabalho e que Mechia no Jardim Escutou e Veio até mim com a Enxada e disse que Quem Manda nos Filhos deste é Ele , Levantou a Enxada para Esmagar minha Cabeça , mas sua Mão Paralisou Quase me Acertando e disse Espera Aí , entrou na Casa pegou um Revólver 38 Empunhando na Mão , Eu fui Rápido para Casa e Chamei a Polícia onde Vieram Duas Viaturas , Tomaram a Arma de Criscolo , e Abri Processo Contra o Cabo Criscolo por Tentativa de Homicídio no Fórum Criminal de Pequenas Causas , onde Ante Duas Audiências e a Presença do Juiz, Criscolo Não Apareceu e o Juiz Disse que Após a Terceira Vez , os Oficiais de Justiça iriam Buscar o Cabo Criscolo.

Seis Meses Depois , Criscolo Caiu da Moto que Escorregou e Teve um Arranhão que Virou Infecção Generalizada e Criscolo Morreu em Poucos Dias com Infecção Hospitalar desde um Simples Arranhão.

The list made up of prominent women represents African women breaking the bias across the world and includes 2 Presidents, 5 Vice Presidents, 5 Prime Ministers, Ministers, Regional CEOs and Founders of both for-profit and not-for-profit organisations.

According to Prince Akpah, MD of Avance Media, the 4th edition of the list features women from a record of 36 African Countries and represents women who are changing the perception of women breaking barriers in their career, business and life pursuits.

Very notable among the influential women are, H.E. Sahle-Work Zewde and H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan presidents of Ethiopia and Tanzania respectively, and H.E. Jessica Alupo, H.E. Jewel Taylor H.E. Warner Music Buys Stake in Serbian Record Label

Warner Music has had a long relationship with the Serbian label Mascom Records, with the latter acting as the local distributor for a long time. Warner Music decided to make what Warner Music South East Europe Manager Izabela Ciszek-Podziemska calls a "landmark development within the South East Europe region".

Part of the reason for this investment is the rise of popular Serbian TikTok star Sergej Pajic, who has millions of followers and engagements across several social media platforms. He has two singles that are being promoted and over 35,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

This is a huge opportunity for Warner Music to discover more talent in the region, and perhaps we could see more Serbian pop stars rise, like so many Albanian stars have in the past 5-10 years. Albanian singers Dua Lipa and Bebe Rexha, who have billions of streams combined, are both signed to Warner Music already, so perhaps Warner Music wants to expand their reach.

It will be interesting to see where this takes Warner Music, and how it affects Serbia and that region of Europe specifically, and according to Music Business Worldwide, could be a turning point for Eastern European pop music and distribution.

February 16, 1973 - Sanjay Masrani Establishes the Masrani Global Corporation

The Masrani Global Corporation was founded by Sanjay Masrani on February 16, 1973. Initially conceived as a telecommunications company, Masrani spent ten years developing the Mascom technology, successfully becoming a household name in India by 1983. When Sanjay Masrani died in 1992, the company was passed down to his son, Simon.

Simon Masrani began diversifying the company’s holdings, in particular in the energy sector. By 1996, Masrani Global owned several oil rigs in Abu Dhabi. In 1997, after the untimely death of John Hammond, Masrani purchased the InGen Corporations, and with them, the technology and patents required to clone dinosaurs. They began constructing their most ambitious, and eventually most profitable, project: Jurassic World.

blog. | Zašto muzika Bebi Dol nije dostupna na streaming servisima?

I tako… na streaming servisima u 2022. godini još uvek ne može da se pronađe diskografija čuvene pop ikone bivše Jugoslavije - Dragane Šarić, poznatije kao Bebi Dol.

Zašto mene ovo potresa? Zato. Hoću da mogu da idem ulicom i uključim Spotify ili Deezer i slušam “Hajde da uzmemo neki dobar auto”, a da pritom ne moram kao tetka u pedesetici da držim upaljen telefon sa YouTube-om.

Kratka edukacija o Bebi Dol: Bebi Dol je muzičarka rođena 1962. u Beogradu, u tadašnjoj Jugoslaviji.

Od malena se bavila muzikom jer je i njen otac takođe muzičar, a nakon kratkog perioda provedenog kao deo raznih muzičkih projekata koji nisu zaživeli, 1981. okrenula se solo karijeri. Već iste godine legendarnom pesmom “Mustafa” i fantastičnim B-side singlom “Na planeti uzdaha” osvojila je pop scenu bivše Juge.

1983. godine, uz pozitivne kritike stručne javnosti izdaje svoj prvi album pod nazivom “Ruže i krv”. Iste godine je prvi put učestvovala na Jugoviziji, sa još jednim legendarnim singlom - “Rudi”.

Ostatak osamdesetih provela je delom u Egiptu, a kada se vratila bila je redovna na muzičkim festivalima bivše države.

Godine 1991. bila je jedan od poslednjih predstavnika Jugoslavije na Evroviziji sa pesmom “Brazil” koja, bez obzira na izostanak dobrog plasmana ostaje u istoriji Evrovizije, ali i domaće muzičke scene kao jedan od omiljenih guilty pleasure hitova.

Nakon Evrovizije, Bebi Dol je proredila svoje prisustvo na sceni, a svaki put kada bi se pojavila, častila bi nas novim pop biserima, pesmama poput pomenute “Hajde da” ili recimo “Krv, Sreća, Suze i Znoj”.

Sudbina Draganine muzike u prethodnih 15 godina nažalost je tužna. Kako se ni same izdavačke kuće iz vremena bivše Jugoslavije još uvek nisu prilagodile novim načinima konzumiranja muzike, ako uopšte 10+ godina dostupnosti servisa za streamovanje muzike možemo nazvati novom tehnologijom, većina muzike Bebi Dol ostala je da skuplja prašinu ko zna gde.

Jurassic World is a separate legal entity from INGEN and Masrani Global, as an amusement park and entertainment corporation subsidiary. In late November of 2015, following what becomes known as The Jurassic World Incident, where a hybrid super-predator and several Pterosaurs escaped resulting in several casualties. Consequently, the lawsuits began pouring in. Jurassic World, like many entertainment corporations and large zoos, was heavily insured. Spared no expense. It is insured for standard theme-park risks: ride liability, in case anyone gets injured by a park vehicle; “trip and fall exposures” to cover anyone who gets hurt in a fall for whatever reason; food and concession liability in case anyone gets sick; and workers’ compensation and medical plans for all employees. The dinosaurs are insured in the millions: liability waivers, a primary coverage plan and a secondary coverage plan with excess liability insurance, as a contingency.

In reality, the park was primarily created as a shell corporation for a larger corporate entity (INGEN) to perform questionable genetics experiments, and because it was somewhat of a pet vanity project for Simon Masrani—-    who canonically demonstrated how insignificant the park was in the grand scheme of Masrani Global’s worldwide business ventures, casually threatening to shut down Henry Wu’s work, the park, and Hoskin’s IBRIS research as soon as it was convenient. He was not aware of the illegal genetic experiments INGEN and Henry Wu, in particular, was conducting on Isla Nublar. Vic Hoskins canonically withholds information from Masrani, being quoted saying,“You think that the eighth richest man in the world is only into oil, telecom, and family fun parks? He's so diversified, he doesn't even know what he owns.”  

The vast majority of the Masrani Global empire is funded by other ventures, ranging from global communication technology (Mascom Network), medical science and facilities (Medixal Health), genetic research + paramilitary services (International Genetics Technologies & INGEN Security Division), aerospace engineering (Aerospace Dynamix), oil and clean energy (Masrani Energy), computer chip technology (Tatsuo Technology), and architecture + commercial construction work (Timack Construction & Axis Boulder Engineering). Masrani was not concerned with the financial status of Jurassic World, so much as the spectacle.

In the end, against the deluge of lawsuits and legalities, Jurassic World files for bankruptcy. While they are legally covered and insured, the potential of receiving lawsuits from the victims’ families and anti-cloning advocacy groups who were against the park’s existence in the first place would be… inconvenient. No attorney in their right mind would allow lawsuits regarding the incident to go to trial; the prospect of a crushing judgment with punitive damages would force settlements as quickly as possible. INGEN would prefer to downplay the tragedy, and put an end to it as quietly as possible, avoiding a spectacle and any potential investigation into the moral ambiguity of their genetic research. 

Spearheaded by Claire Dearing, Owen took part in whistleblowing INGEN’s illegal experiments, providing documented evidence and pre-recording his testimonies, or testifying via webcam. He was also heavily interrogated by the Costa Rican Government and United Nations authorities in regards to Vic Hoskins’ involvement in the gross negligence conducted by INGEN ’s Security Division during the incident, and the mysterious Indominus Rex. It was the the last time Owen would have anything to do with INGEN and Masrani Global. 

After the trials and lawsuits finally receded (with very little justice to show for it, as the megacorporation essentially solved its problems by throwing money at it), Owen returned to the Americas and spent the majority of the next two years on the open road, far removed from society, driving his airstream across continents and staying off the grid between 2016 and 2018. Eventually, he decides to settle down on property in Arizona and build a cabin.
