‼️MINOR FRONTIERS SPOLIERS IN THIS POST!!!‼️

Nothing lore related, nothing story related but this is huge! It's just one line of dialogue. If you do however wish to not be spoiled and wait, please scroll!

This is the first time a sonic game has mentioned a character OUTSIDE the mainline games!

Tangle the Lemur from the IDW comics was mentioned in a one off line said by Sonic as he says 'I bet Tangle would love climbing around these ruins.'

Like can you recall a SINGLE TIME they had said something mentioning an outside character?? Not even Sally gets a mention dude! I'm fucking loving this. This implies that the IDW comics are indeed canon to the games

Sonic artstyle red flags:

-Thick thighs and slimmer torso yet larger chest area, especially in masc characters

-really really thin characters

-they only draw JUST sonadow with the above artstyle as a cishet woman. We all know who I'm talking about

-Less cartoonish more anime centric style

-They give them necks

-heavily humanistic looking bodies (emphasis on correct anatomy and muscles)

-they draw 'adult SonAmy' in every other piece (DEPENDS THO. SOMETIMES ITS REALLY SWEET LIKE OMG)

-suggestive posing on any character, ever

-draws the child coded characters in a 'mature,' way

-makes them human but makes sonic, knuckles, shadow, and blaze all white.

That's all, but like 9/10 chance most of these people are prosh*ppers aka proshitters, or yaoi/MLM/wlw fetishists and it's really annoying.

NAME: Sonic the Hedgehog! NICKNAME: Light, Blue Blur, Speedy, and affectionately ‘Rat & Rodent’ to name a few. GENDER: Masc. ROMANTIC ORIENTATION: Panromantic asexual! PREFERRED PET NAMES: Any and all pet names are mushy & will make him laugh (or blush if you’re lucky), so he doesn’t quite ‘prefer’ any of them. However, something about the dumb, poetic ones make his heart flutter a tad (call him sunshine).

FAVOURITE CANON SHIP(S): SONIC DOESN’T REALLY...HAVE ANY? I guess Sonally is cute?! FAVOURITE NON-CANON SHIP(S):  I like way too many--- but if I had to pick, sonadow & sonaze would be my faves for this guy! Sonknux and sonamy are also good. OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: Amy sure does believe in it, so maybe Sonic could too. Ehhhh. OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: It’s not for him! Relationships take time and patience, whether they’re platonic or romantic. Sonic knows this; he’s also a private person! It’ll take a lot more than one glance to be his soulmate. HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY?: Not at all; at least, not knowingly. Sonic is a very idly affectionate person. Not the type to go into things for the romantic intent. Rather, he’s sorta naturally charming. He’ll take you on a midnight run to some remote beach with a clear sky and bright stars and it won’t click as romantic to him. Silly boy.

IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: Sonic sorta loves everyone? He’s so pan. Whether you’re soft or strong, petite or muscled, bright or dark hued! If you got a nice laugh and a bright smile, consider him enamored if he’s into you romantically. 

IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS:  Sonic is attracted to opposites. Foolishly, stubbornly; he loves to flirt and tease. Being the reason for the spark in someone’s eyes is exciting to him, and there’s nothing more attractive than someone who can return what he dishes out. It’s like a game to him, and not always one he necessarily wants to win. Sonic just likes to get a rise out of people. If you meet him at level, he’ll like that. One-up him? He’ll love that. Show him what you can do.

That being said, Sonic does enjoy the more soft edges to a potential partner as well. Life never slows down for him, and when you’re always on the go, never wavering, always fighting, you start to crave moments of clarity. Gentle hands and a kind heart can be really important to him. Not that he’d ever admit, but the ability to hide in someone he’s come to trust is incredibly nice. He’s a softie underneath all the playful jabs.

UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS: NONE REALLY..? So long as you take care of yourself and put a bit of effort in, Sonic’s fine! It’s what’s on the inside that matters to him. UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS: You can’t be more stubborn that him, that’s a no-no. Jokes aside though, Sonic needs someone good-hearted. He knows first-hand morality isn’t black and white, but malicious intent to any degree is an immediate turn off. If you’re needlessly mean, crude, aggressive or dishonest, he really won’t vibe.

You also need to understand his freedom. Some people are more needy than others, and Sonic gets that; he just can’t handle it personally. Sometimes he needs space, whether it’s for a few days or even a week, and his romantic partner needs to be able to hold their own whilst he’s gone. If he feels suffocated, he will leave. Clingy is just a no-go.

IDEAL DATE: Explore with him! Take a risk, go somewhere new. He loves adventure, such as his namesake, and he’d love to show a partner some of his favorite places in the world. DO THEY HAVE A TYPE?: He’ll deny it ‘till he’s blue in the face (haha), but he loves a rival type. A bad boy (and by bad boy I mean antihero). Someone to bounce off of that he can tease day in and day out? Sign him up. AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: If Sonic really connects with a partner and they’re happy, probably a long time! He’s got no reason to run, unless you offer one. PREFERRED NON-SEXUAL INTIMACY: Existing with one another, comfortably and happily. As I said before, Sonic is a very idly affectionate person. He’ll hold your hand, play with your fingers. Maybe rest his head on your shoulder if he’s tired; he enjoys those sorta things. Taking comfort in presence. COMMITMENT LEVEL: Loyalty is Sonic’s fatal flaw. He’d go to the ends of the world for his friends, so that includes a romantic partner. He’ll love you strongly, unconditionally--- as long as you want him to, that is. Freedom is important, and he’ll always respect it. PAST RELATIONSHIPS?: None to report!
