You might not recognize these actors out of their bright orange duty uniforms, but they are the original Science Patrol from the Ultraman series.
From rear-left to seated right (and with their English-language character names), they are Iyoshi Ishii (Daisuke Arashi), Susumu Kurobe (Shin Hayata), Masanari Nihei (Ito), Akjii Kobayashi (Captain Mura), and Hiroko Sakurai (Akiko Fuji). Not pictured is Akihide Tsuzawa (Hoshino Fuji).

FINISHED WATCHING ULTRAMAN MAX...
Finished the series today.  Bit of a struggle, as I had to keep switching back and forth between different versions on Youtube.  Some had great subtitles but terrible sound and/or video quality.  Some had great sound and video quality, but were only dubbed in English (or had non-English subtitles).  No one seemed to have an entire run of subtitled episodes that didn’t give me a headache due to the terrible video quality.
I know Toku has a full run of Ultraman Max on their site (but, strangely enough, not available through their Amazon Prime channel) with excellent video and sound quality, but those episodes are all dubbed.  I absolutely abhor dubbing, even though the Ultraman Max English dubs were not as bad as other Ultra shows (*cough* Tiga *cough*).
The one advantage to they had, though, was that the video was good enough for me to realize that the Dashalfa was actually an Alfa Romeo.  I posted earlier how I was surprised that Mizuki was driving an Alfa Romeo as her personnel vehicle, and now I know why.  Most of the episodes that I watched had video so muddy I couldn’t make out the hood ornament on the Dashalfa.
I hope Mill Creek gets around to releasing Ultraman Max soon (they seem to have slowed down their release schedule) so I can watch it again and see what other details I missed.
Overall, I enjoyed the series a lot!  It was a wonderful change of pace from the previous series, Ultraman Nexus.  (Don’t get me wrong: I liked Nexus, too.)  Max was a return to the original “kids’ show” format, and you could tell that the cast and staff were having fun making the show.  I loved the sense of nostalgia, the return of classic kaiju, and how they cast actors from the original Ultraman series (Susumu Kurobe, Hiroko Sakurai, and Masanari Nihei) in supportng roles.  I especially loved the Ultra Q reunion episode; it’s always good to see Kenji Sahara in an Ultra series, and I was surprised to see Yasuhiko Saijo back, too.
Gotta say that I’m also happy that they kept Max in the same costume throughout the entire series.  Other than Ultraman Neos, I think Max is the only Ultra to do since Ultraman 80.
I’ve read where a lot of Ultra fans give the Ultraman Max series short shrift, not liking it for various reasons.  Sure, no series is going to be everyone’s cup of tea, and everybody has their own favorite.  But I think Ultraman Max is well worth the viewing, and good solid entry in the Ultra series, and highly recommend you check it out if you haven’t already.
Now, on to Ultraman Mebius...
While I ponder if Koba and Elly ever got together....

Mill Creek Entertainment has acquired the North American rights to the Ultraman library. They'll begin by releasing the complete Ultra Q series and Ultraman series on Steelbook Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray on October 15.
Created by Tsuburaya Productions, Ultra Q is the influential Japanese kaiju science fiction television series that ran for 28 episodes in 1966. Kenji Sahara, Yasuhiko Saijou, and Hiroko Sakurai star.
Ultra Q was immediately followed by Ultraman, which ran for 39 episodes in 1966-1967. Susumu Kurobe, Akiji Kobayashi, Hiroko Sakurai, Sandayū Dokumamushi, Masanari Nihei, and Bin Furuya star. It was the first live-action Japanese series to be exported around the world.
The complete, original Japanese broadcast edits of both series have been remastered in high definition with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio. Each set also includes a 28-page collectible booklet.
Check out HD previews of the first episode of each series below. The rest of the Ultraman library will follow.

Ultra Q:
After co-creating the iconic movie monsters Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra for Toho Studios, special effects director Eiji Tsuburaya launched his own company, Tsuburaya Productions. The first production under his new label was ULTRA Q, a 28-episode series that brought the theatrical spectacle Tsuburaya had become known for to television. The black & white sci-fi drama focused on Mainichi Shimpo photojournalist Yuriko Edogawa (Hiroko Sakurai), Hoshikawa Airlines pilot/SF writer Jun Manjome (Kenji Sahara) and his co-pilot Ippei Togawa (Yasuhiko Saijo), who partnered to investigate mysterious events occurring in and around Japan. These phenomena often involved aliens and giant monsters, many of whom would return in future Ultraman shows and movies.
youtube
Ultraman:
Ultraman, a giant alien from the Land of Light in Nebula M78, enters Earth's atmosphere in pursuit of an escaped space monster. In the skies above Japan he accidentally crashes into a Jet VTOL piloted by Hayata, a member of the Science Special Search Party (SSSP), an international research and defense agency that protects the world from monsters and aliens of all shapes and sizes. To save Hayata, Ultraman merges his life force with the dying human and vows to stay and fight for peace on Earth. Now, whenever the Patrol faces a threat too great for them to handle, Hayata transforms into Ultraman to save the day!
