Mary D’s Bar, Manchester!

Mary D’s is open all year from from 12 till 12 daily. The bar is opposite Manchester City Football Club (Etihad Stadium) and it very popular with City fans on match days. 

On match days the bar naturally gets busy with city fans before and after the game for pre-match drink and game result celebrations whether City win, lose or draw. The bar has door staff who search everyone’s bags on entry to the bar on match days so when you go in you’ll know that you will be safe.

Also on match day the bar has a Disco Room which they open up to City Fans on match days where they have a DJ who play music and City Songs before and after the game. The Disco Room also has a cafe where you can get food and hot drinks. 

Bluebells Supporters Branch

The Bluebells base themselves at Mary D’s a like to gather up before and after matches in “Bluebell Corner” located in the beer garden around the back of the bar. It is mostly a female supporters branch and has some male supports too. The Branch is one of many Manchester City Supporters Branches. The Branch became official in April 2014.

The Bluebells created there name in two parts:

Part 1 - “Blue” As Manchester City are also knows as “The Blues” they took this on as part of the branch name.

Part 2 - “Bells” Was chosen as a remembrance of a well known city fan Helen Turner and her Bell. Helen was a season ticket hold for Manchester City in North Stand for over 30 years and she always rang her bell when she watched City through good and bad times, but sadly died in 2005 at the age of 85 years old.

The Bluebells use the flower of a bluebell as there branch logo since both parts of there branch name put together happens to be “Bluebell” and it also makes sense calling themselves Bluebells since that makes most sense out of all the variations that they could of made with “Blue” and “Bells”.

Mags Burke:  It's a place where you feel at one with your fellow Blues. Whatever the result there is always a good vibe after the games. True blue humour.

Bev Davies:  Our favourite football day pub, meeting up with like minded fans for a great day experience and top company xx

Pat Roberts:  Mary Ds is my favourite pub in Manchester, a place to go and meet up with other Manchester City fans before or after the match. On match days there's a DJ and lots of TVs to watch the game if you haven't got a ticket, fantastic place!

John Quigley:  The best pub in the land and all the world.

It kinda gets on my nerves that MC formally adressed Lance/Ashkore throughout the entire first season (at least in french). We're supposed to hate him, but we, for some reason, go out of our way to speak of him and to him with respect? Make it make sense.

Like in TO episode 26, she sees him send maryds to kill her literal boyfriend and she STILL USES FORMAL PRONOUNS when she talks to him. How. How. Do you respect him yes or no?

Inside Lance’s mind 

While Lance knew that you were in couple, he could not help but to feel some type of way about it.

He thought about the past few days you spent together.

Like those nights you fell asleep from exhaustion and shivered from the cold breeze, and he brought you covers to shield you from the unforgiving temperature.

He remembered how your sleepy body naturally curled up against him when it rained and you had to sleep within his cabin.

Of course, it startled him each time, but your appeased face and gentle squeeze on his arm indicated that you had no ill intentions. Also, you were asleep, but he’d like to think you willingly reached for him.

Wait, what?

No, he couldn’t allow himself to cherish these memories...

But how could he not?

When you danced with the drafayels, creatures he usually hated, you seemed so pure, so good-intented, so simple: so beautiful.

And when you bumped into him, he didn’t bulge; instead, he reassured you.

“It’s only me”, he had told you, as if he was a source of safety to you.

After all that he’d done to you, how were you not offended by the confidence in his statement, he wondered?

Was it, because, at that moment, you felt it, too? Whatever it was?

No, it couldn’t be. Afterall, you loved him.

He had seen you with your boyfriend at times during his little personal missions within the HQ.

He had also seen your reaction when he sent the maryds after him as the boat rocked away from the HQ’s shore, you were devastated.

And with his actions, there would simply be no way you could ever love him...

Why did it matter? He had to stop you from wandering inside his mind...

Overthinking was the last thing he needed. 

He looked behind himself, your sleepy body held his pillow within its arms. 

The road to Memoria was still long, and he would still had time to spend with you.

Gently, he joined you within the sheets, and watched the stars, hoping the sun would not rise any time soon...
