Marth x Ike

Okay, I’m aware this is self-contradictory. Allow me to explain.

I do not ship Marth and Ike in a mutual romantic relationship. For me, Marth is straight and devoted to Shiida- and Ike, while gay, is devoted to Soren. Anything between them would be adulterous, and we all know how I feel about adultery.

That being said, I can see Marth being Ike’s type. He’s androgynous, smart, and witty, much like Soren. So, I do have the hc that Ike is attracted to Marth. However, it’s just that- a mild attraction, nothing more. He may look, but he will never touch and he doesn’t pine.

I also enjoy the hc that Ike and Soren travelled to Akaneia after RD -after all, Priam IS in Ylisse even if he’s blatant fanservice- and became Marth and Shiida’s royal guard. This involves Marth and Ike being friends even outside of their smash verses, and a friendship between them is something I can DEFINITELY see.

They wouldn’t see eye to eye on politics (Marth supports the idea of a monarchy while I think Ike would be more of a democrat) and their difference in social status and attitude might lead to friction, but in the end I think they would both support each other- Marth would think Ike deserves all the praise he gets, while Ike would probably try to deflect and redirect it to Marth. They seem like they would respect each other.

Do you ship Marth x Shiida?

Yeah I guess you could say I ship them. I find Marth and Caeda/Shiida to be cute together and I’m not the type to ship in crossovers so Marth in Smash Bros doesn’t inspire any shipping from me. At the same time I’m not massively invested in it I prefer other ships from those games like Feena x Nabarl.

my interests have been expanding and I’m currently debating whether or not to start putting Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy content on this blog. Also likely that I will start reblogging anime and other stuff I like to this blog. I have a lot of sideblogs and I’m tired of making more tbh

I can’t remember when I played Shadow Dragon, but I do remember trying to watch the old FE anime. Unfortunately, I only watched a few minutes of it and my first impression if Shiida wasn’t a good one. I didn’t like Shiida at all at first because I liked Marth so much, but as I wrote my story (a FE/irl crossover) I found that I actually really liked Shiida. And I actually really liked Marth/Shiida. This realization probably hit me sometime toward the end of 2015. my thoughts: they’re just two perfect angels who want peace in their lives and they deserve it •What makes me happy about them: Marth lost so much at a young age. At 14, his father was murdered and his mother and only sister were taken hostage. His country was invaded and he was exiled, so he fled to Talys where he met Shiida. He had to wait TWO years in agony before he could take any kind of action. And when he finally reclaimed his homeland, Elice was gone and he found out that his mother had been murdered as well. All the while, he had to lead an army and celebrate with his people. He’s 16 years old. There’s no-one to console about his pains and feelings.Except Shiida. Shiida is Marth’s support and he needs her. I can’t believe I ever disliked Shiida because wishing Shiida didnt exist is basically wishing Marth was completely alone. But he’s not, and I’m glad. •What makes me sad about them: They both hate fighting/war but they had to deal with so much of it. Also, Marth/Shiida gets thrown under the bus because of all the Marth X Link/Ike/Pit/whatever •things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven’t read a Marth/Shiida fix that really annoyed me because there’s not a lot of them and people who ship it have probably played Shadow Dragon and know what Marth is really like. •things I look for in fanfic: Accurate portrayals of Marth :p•My kinks: none I’m kinkshaming this ask meme •Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: for Marth… Perhaps Catria or Chris (or myself ;p). Marth x Maria/Minerva could also be interesting since they are princesses of Macedon. For Shiida, I’ve never really thought about it but if Ogma is young enough (I really don’t know how old he is) I’d say Shiida and Ogma. •My happily ever after for them: When they become king and queen of Archanea, there is peace in the land until they die and everybody loves them because they were beautiful and kind of good. And also they probably have cute blue-haired children who are also good.

AHHH YES I LOVE THEM

1. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?Shiida, she takes note of every thing Marth likes to eat and tries to replicate it for him to eat at home and she’s GOOD at it. She’s really good at it. 
2. Who reaches for the other one’s hand while driving?Shiida because Marth is more of “follow the rules” kind of guy BUT if he felt like Shiida needed comfort or something he wouldn’t hesitate to reach for her hand.
3. Who gets the window seat?They alternate because they both love the view. Because if they hadn’t agreed to alternate they’d always be like “you can have it” “no you can have it” and it would never end 
4. Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it say?)Marth. Marth leaves little notes that say things like “I love you” or “I’m lucky to have you” in her lunch every day. Every. Day. 
5. Who wakes up first?Marth. And he likes to watch Shiida sleep BUT NOT IN A CREEPY WAY. He thinks she’s really beautiful when she’s sleeping. Marth is a morning person and Shiida is not really a morning person. 
6. Who falls asleep while watching a movie? Marth because he’s really busy taking care of all of his responsibilities and he Needs Sleep. But he feels guilty about it because he also wants to spend quality time with his wife. 
7. Who’s prone to wearing socks indoors (or to sleep)? Marth. That’s so cute!!! Shiida also thinks it’s cute.
8. Who has bigger cravings? Shiida, I think. Neither of them really strike me as the “I’m craving something and I NEED TO HAVE THIS” kind of person but I think Shiida would quietly crave things. 
9. Who reminds the other to put on sunscreen before going to the beach (or pool)?Marth because he’s Very Concerned about Shiida’s health and he doesn’t want to take any chances that she might not be wearing sunscreen.
10. Who carries all the important documents while traveling? Shiida, she wants to take as much burden off of Marth’s shoulders as possible. Even when Marth says “It’s okay, I can manage”. Shiida’s like “okay but let me help you because you don’t have to manage alone”.
11. Who checks the prices while grocery shopping? I think both, probably. They like to be conscious of how they’re doing financially and they always get the approval of the other before buying something. 
12. Who sneaks in cookies in the shopping cart? Shiida, which probably wouldn’t really happen but Shiida is slightly more sneaky than Marth. 
13. Who’d give their child sweets behind the other’s back? Marth but he doesn’t purposefully do it behind Shiida’s back, he just forgets to tell her. And then Shiida is like “we’re supposed to feed our children healthy food” and Marth laughs apologetically.
14. Who’d pop the other one’s pimple? Again this is weird I can’t answer this 
15. Who would discreetly pinch the other one’s butt in public? Neither! Yeah, definitely neither. This would NEVER happen. I can’t even imagine it. 
16. Who cooks at 2 in the morning? Shiida, she loves cooking. 
17. Who gets extremely competitive playing Mario Kart? Neither, neither of them are really in it to win, they just want to have fun and spend time with each other. 
18. Who takes longer getting ready? Shiida. Marth doesn’t take long at all.
19. Who likes doing the dishes? Marth, he cleans the kitchen because Shiida does the cooking. 
20. Who points at a dog when they see it? Shiida, she loves animals! Marth points out the dogs to her if Shiida doesn’t seem them first. 
21. Who’s prone to road rage? Neither. Marth isn’t prone to any kind of rage. Shiida might get a little irritated at some things but she’s good at keeping it to herself.
