When Fina almost spilled the beans in front of Digna, I was so nervous for her. Once again hiding the truth of who she is, not being able to express her guilt freely to Digna, who is like a mother to her, is pulling her down even further. I wonder what they’re telling everyone, that Marta found Isidro herself or that Fina got a ride with her to visit Isidro, because if she has to lie about that, too, no wonder she’s in this state. She can’t look for a shoulder to cry on in that house since she needs to keep up appearances and act like she’s all alone in this world, actually becoming so in practice in front of the family.
She doesn’t seem to be feeling very receptive to the comfort Marta offers when they’re alone either, and I’m afraid she’ll try to pull away from their relationship, resent their house and what it represents, and Marta won’t know how to bridge the gap opening between them.
I’m also worried about Digna finding out that Marta and Fina are together. I’ve always hoped that realising Marta was another victim of Jesús and seeing her with Fina would make her take Marta under her wing, but now the complete opposite seems more likely. Digna promised Isidro she would protect Fina as if she were her own child, and when she knows about their relationship, she will try to save Fina from Marta since she’s a De la Reina. If Fina has found her way back to Marta by then, everything will be fine, maybe Fina can plead Marta’s case and make Digna see the error of her ways. But if Fina is still keeping her distance, then the curva is going to be hell.

Then suddenly the sea-longing took him as though a great hand had been laid on his throat.
Firstly, Dr. Tolkien, and I mean this with all due respect: ehf you.
That was simply uncalled for. It's not like I didn't see this turn coming, but seriously, could you not have spared me this development?

I think that Logan passing away pushed the siblings into this frenzy to keep things in control, especially when there was nobody left to control them. That additional power that they have never possessed is as intoxicating, as it is blinding. They get so overwhelmed by it, that they end up committing mistake after mistake, where they might have otherwise be reeled back by Logan. They don’t actually know what they’re doing, there is no direction, especially that the only person who could validate their win, who would solidify their place as the number 1 child is gone. The only reason to remain in the game is to keep their control, to give themselves something to do, because in the end of the day - what are they without this constant chase of the unattainable?
How all the siblings are essentially children locked away in adult bodies. The foundation of their behaviour revolves around the trauma that they sustained during childhood, and because none of their issues got solved at any point when they grew up, they are still stuck in this naive, self-absorbed child-like state. The constant grievances, finger pointing, the “let’s start a new game where you can’t say no”. How they still believe that they are locked in the cage and their dad expects them to fight, to win, to be the top dog. Logan Roy continues to loom over his children even beyond his grave, stronger than ever, because now that they’ve lost their biggest, common opponent, they can only make enemies of each other.

I do believe that most of what Digna will do, if not everything, regarding Fina will be out of genuine love and concern. If she’s trying to get Fina to open up, it is to try to alleviate some of her pain and to keep her promise to Isidro, that she’ll take care of her as if she were her own daughter. I don’t think she will knowingly manipulate her to have something to hold over Marta’s head.
I see a path ahead where Fina, as someone who has shared the same space with the De la Reinas and the Merinos all her life and is aware of all the comings and goings in that household but somehow remains neutral in this all-out war, can make Digna take a step back and reconsider her strategy or at least where to direct her ire. If someone as good-hearted and noble as Fina (and Isidro as well) sees the good in Marta, perhaps she got it wrong, right? I don’t know if this is just wishful thinking, though. Were she to take advantage of Fina’s love and trust in her, she would be well beyond redemption, and this series does a fantastic job working within grey areas and making morally grey characters sympathetic. I mean, if Damián can change for the better, why can’t Digna, too, before it’s too late?

Now when the great ship Palarran was built Aldarion would depart once more. At this Meneldur became wrathful, though by the persuasions of the Queen he would not use the King's power to stay him. Here must be told of the custom that when a ship departed from Númenor over the Great Sea to Middle-earth a woman, most often of the captain's kin, would set upon the vessel's prow the Green Bough of Return; and that was cut from the tree oiolairë, that signifies "Ever-summer," which the Eldar gave to the Númenóreans, saying that they set it upon their own ships in token of friendship with Ossë and Uinen. The leaves of that tree were evergreen, glossy and fragrant; and it throve upon sea-air. But Meneldur forbade the Queen and the sisters of Aldarion to bear the bough of oiolairë to Rómenna where lay the Palarran, saying that he refused his blessing to his son, who was venturing forth against his will; and Aldarion hearing this said: "If I must go without blessing or bough, then so I will go." Then the Queen was grieved; but Erendis said to her: "Tarihya, if you will cut the bough from the Elven-tree, I will bear it to the haven, by your leave; for the King has not forbidden it to me." The mariners thought it an ill thing that the Captain should depart thus; but when all was made ready and men prepared to weigh anchor Erendis came there, little though she loved the noise and bustle of the great harbour and the crying of the gulls. Aldarion treeted her with amazement and joy; and she said: "I have brought you the Bough of Return, lord: from the Queen." "Yes, lord," said she; "but I asked for her leave to do so. Others beside your own kin will rejoice at your return, as soon as may be." At that time Aldarion first looked on Erendis with love; and he stood long in the stern looking back as the Palarran passed out to sea. It is said that he hastened his return, and was gone lss time than he had designed; and coming back he brought gifts for the Queen and the ladies of her house, but the richest gift he brought for Erendis, and that was a diamond. Cold now were the greetings between the King and his son; and Meneldur rebuked him, saying that such a gift was unbecoming in the King's Heir unless it were a betrothal gift, and he demanded that Aldarion declare his mind. "In gratitude I brought it," said he, "for a warm heart amid the coldness of others."
I mean, if that's not the most romantic thing ever.
