Ir a Santiago (I).

You and I | F2 (kimi bday celly!)
type ::fluff tw/cw :: fem!reader for all :( contains :: kimi!, ollie, paul, pepe request :: you and i w kimi ollie paul & pepe plsss (literally my top 4 drivers LOLL im surprised by how many f2 requests there are) link to kimi bday celly!
Kimi Antonelli | 04
Being one of the only girls in F2 meant that you were basically shipped with everyone on the grid, no matter if you ever talked to them. It was odd, but you expected all the ships to die down eventually, which most did. Except one ship: you and Kimi. It made sense, since you both are teammates after all.
Kimi doesn't know how to react to the shipping. Because on one hand, he knows it's inappropriate since you're teammates but on the other hand, he has a huge crush on you so he doesn't really mind it. So he's stuck in the middle, not sure what to do when asked anything about you.
When people ask him things like, "Have you seen the (Y/N) x Kimi fans?" or "Have you considered dating (Y/N)?" he just awkwardly laughs. Which is the worse option he could have done, since it just fueled the fanbase even more because he wasn't outright denying it.
But, he might have planned that: since he does love seeing all the edits of you two together :)
Ollie Bearman | 87
Since he's one of the most popular F2 drivers, he's already experienced being shipped with other people often. But usually he's shipped with boys, and he's comfortable with his sexuality to not get offended by the shipping since he knows he's not gay. The only issue now with being shipped with you is 1. you're a girl, 2. he does like you.
Whenever he's asked about you, he gets slightly flustered. It's clear to many that he might have a crush on you, but thanks to his delusional fan girls (I'm one of them) they spam Twitter and Instagram stating that you're just platonic soulmates with Ollie.
But Ollie is secretly basking in the ship edits of you and him. He doesn't want to be your platonic soulmate, he just wants to be your soulmate, period. Since he scrolls online so often to keep feeding his crush on you, he accidentally likes one of the ship edits.
This sends twitter into a meltdown, tons of moms and teen girls sobbing over Ollie basically confirming that he likes you. But thankfully, they gaslight themselves into thinking he thought it was a platonic edit. He knew damn well what he liked, but he's not allowed to say anything since it's a risk for PR and contracts - having two drivers date each other can get messy so fast. But he'd be ready to risk it all for you.
Paul Aron | 17
He's surprisingly bashful about the ships of you two, it's cute to watch him turn slightly pink in the ears and cheek at the mention of your ship name. Whenever he's asked about you, he can't help but try and lead the interviewer on - yet never give them a full answer of your relationship.
Your team won't allow you two to date, due to the high stakes and PR damage it would do. Especially since you're both so sought after - Paul being wanted by every girl, and you being wanted by every boy. But Paul didn't care for any girl besides you, you're all he wants and he's determined to get you. Most likely by dating under the table, hiding it from the world.
Whenever interviewers ask him things about his love life, he always hints that he has his eye on someone. Or whenever he's blantanlty asked about you, he can't help but smile a little and give a cheeky shrug, since he can't speak much on the matter.
As your teammate, he does try to flirt with you - but not in a douchebag way. Which is surprisingly, since his Instagram posts and friends scream frat-boy, he's different from them. He tries to take it slow with you, not wanting to scare you away by being seeming like a weirdo or asshole in any way.
Pepe Marti | 21
Being shipped with you made him happy and he's unable to hide that. He's naturally super smiley, so when he hears your name - it's almost as if you can see his tail wag at the mention of you. Just like a puppy, he has major puppy-love for you.
But he tries his best to not feed into the ships due to it going against the contracts and policies in place. His face just can't hide it though, he's grinning ear to ear when asked if he would ever date you. Only for him to reply, "Only if I got the chance to :)"
Basically: he makes your PR team work overtime to ensure the audience that you two are JUST friends. But it's hard to do when Pepe straight up tries to hold your hand in the paddock. Or when he posts on Instagram that you're visiting his family for dinner.
Thankfully, the PR are great at manipulating the public to believe you two are just friends - which you are technically,,, but you both know you're so much more than that.

f2/f3 masterlist
the room is so light, way too light, when your eyes finally flutter open. keeping them open is a constant battle, with the rays of sunlight peeking past the blinds stinging like you're staring straight into the sun itself. you just want to roll around and bury your face into the pillow underneath you, but something about the feeling of the pillow against your skin feels unfamiliar... and that's when you realize.
right. this isn't your own bed, or your own apartment – it's pepe's.
your eyes are fully open by now, butterflies waking up in the pit of your stomach as they roam across the room. seeing a pile of your boyfriend's clothes folded up on a nearby chair, the pictures of his family and friends hung up on the walls, all of the other little quirks that just scream pepe; it's all so unfamiliar, yet so comforting and heartwarming.
this isn't your first time being in this room, but it's the first time you see it in this light. the first time you wake up in this bed, the first time you're in his room at this hour of the day. you and pepe have been dating for a few months now, and you've been planning for the first time you stay overnight in his apartment for quite a while. last night, it was finally time – and you've probably never had as good of a night's sleep before in your life. from the fact that he cooked you a very fancy dinner, to the way that his fingers danced across your skin when you lied next to him in bed; everything was just perfect. and going grocery shopping together, helping each other clean the dishes, brushing your teeth side by side…
it was hard not to imagine what it would feel like to spend all your days like this. it all became so real, so domestic, and you never want to go back.
the sound of pans clinging together along with a quiet swear reaches your ears and you can't help but let out a chuckle, finally pushing yourself up to sit on the edge of the bed. you reach for the first piece of clothing you can see, which turns out to be the oversized shirt pepe wore last night, and you pull it over your head before rising from the bed. your body is still a bit sore, but the sweet aroma of pancakes meeting your nose gives you the energy to keep going.
you stop in your tracks when you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror right by pepe's bedroom door – or, more exactly, the sight of your neck.
the trail of lovebites your boyfriend left stretches from your jaw and down under the collar of your shirt, and you know you'd be met by many more if you looked underneath it. the artwork is so mesmerizing that you have to shake your head to bring yourself out of your trance, slightly embarrassed by the way your stomach flips just at the sight of some hickeys.
when you eventually make your way into the kitchen and your eyes land on your boyfriend, you almost swoon. the sight of him from behind is just gorgeous; his sweatpants hanging low on his hips and his tanned, broad back practically calling out for you to come and kiss it. you're not sure if he's heard your footsteps or if he can just sense your presence, but pepe shifts slightly after a few moments. "good morning."
"good morning," you cheer back, beginning to stroll over to him. when he looks over his shoulder and takes in the sight of you, the way the hem of his shirt reaches the middle of your thigh and your slightly messy bedhead, a little laugh slips past his lips. your eyebrows pinch together. "what?"
"nothing," he says, arm wrapping around your shoulders once you reach his side. "you're just cute, that's all."
you coo playfully at him, hand reaching up to cup the side of his face before getting on your tippytoes. pepe meets you halfway, lips sealing against yours with ease.
"slept well?" he asks when you pull apart, his hand dropping down to your hip and pulling you in closer. his other hand works on flipping the pancake in the pan, a hint of a smile on his lips as if he already knows the answer.
"really well. you?"
pepe nods before leaning his head against yours. "you were out like a light yesterday," he says with another chuckle. "i swear, the second your head hit the pillow..."
you let out a groan. "i'm sorry."
"no, don't apologize!" he interjects immediately. "we had a long day. you looked so peaceful, it was adorable." he pulls his head away, looking down at you with a grin. "seeing that calm side of you was interesting, honestly. it's a far cry from how you are when you're awake, i'll tell you that."
"hey!"
your exclaim is followed by a press of your elbow into his side, which he answers with a quick kiss to your temple. you wriggle out of his embrace, to which his eyebrows shoot up – but when he watches you push yourself up to sit atop the counter next to the stove, legs dangling from the edge and feet swinging in the air, he relaxes again.
pepe places the pancake on a plate by your side, before pouring a thin layer of batter into the pan. "do you usually have pancakes for breakfast?" you tease, biting back the smile that wants to spread across your lips when your boyfriend's free hand lands on your knee.
he shakes his head, thumb drawing circles into your skin while he spreads the batter out evenly in the pan. "i wish." there are a few moments of silence before he turns to you, a slight smirk on his face. "though, i know something i'd rather have for breakfast every morning..."
tender fingers brush a few strands of hair out of your face and behind your ear before resting right below your jaw as pepe leans in, nose nudging yours to draw out a giggle from you. and then he kisses you, his smile pressed against yours as your eyes flutter closed. your hands come up to rest on his shoulders, the feeling of his warm skin and the strong muscles beneath it sending a shiver down your spine.
pepe tastes faintly of toothpaste with just a hint of sweetness, as if he's already had a sample of a pancake. when his lips part, yours follow his lead, and you can't help the sound that leaves the back of your throat as he licks into your mouth. your arms wrap around his neck for stability and his hands reach for your waist, pulling you forward and into him.
when his kisses begin to travel along your cheek, your legs wrap around him almost out of habit. you sigh, the way his lips move down the side of your neck making your head spin. but your skin is still so sensitive, and the little whine that escapes from your mouth has him pulling back. he blinks down at you, but it doesn't take long before he understands.
one of his fingers traces along the marks he's left down your neck, a content and proud smile on his lips. "i'm sorry," he says, though you both know there's no sincerity in the apology.
"don't be, they look good," you start, leaning forward to seal your lips again. "and they felt really good, too."
the groan that vibrates from his chest has you smiling against him yet again. "you can't just say that. you're gonna have to stay over way more often now."
"deal."

the first time his eyes meets yours, you’re 4, clinging onto your father’s trousers as he speaks to another man about work related things. it is a business event, after all. he waves at you, a complete stranger then, and he watches as your head tilts a little, eyebrows raising slightly in surprise, before you hide your face behind your father.
he’s six, and yet he still feels his face burn in embarrassment, all because the prettiest girl at the party didn't say hi back.
he sees you again the next day, when you're both having dinner with your fathers at a hidden little restaurant near the beach. your fathers recognise each other almost instantly, and you suddenly find yourself sat next to him as the adults talk about complicated grown up topics over some drinks.
after dinner, he offers you half his cookie under the table, and you give him half of your ice cream in return.
he's too shy to say anything this time, but he lets you play with his toy car the very moment he notices you looking at it curiously.
it's a strange start to your friendship, but it's a sweet one nonetheless.
‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊
you grow up together, but at a distance, only seeing each other during summers when you would follow your fathers to overseas work conferences.
he looks out for you for years.
when you're 8, he teaches you how to ride a bike. how to tie your shoelaces so you don't have to stick to velcro shoes forever. how to run faster, how to run without tripping over your own feet. he's gentle with you, and doesn't ever seem to mind your clumsiness.
you're only ever the same height as him once, and that is when you're 11. that year, his hair is almost always a little too overgrown, but he smiles more, and he has more stories to tell. he's at a new school now, one where they can bring their own phones with them. he tells you about the new subjects he's learning; physics, chemistry, english lit, and history. he has more friends now, and he shows you pictures of them alongside their text messages about online games you don't quite get.
when you're 13, he seems so different from the boy you knew last year. he's significantly taller than you now, and his voice cracks a less frequently than it used to, but he still blushes lightly whenever it happens. you don't mind though. if anything, it makes him even more endearing. pepe tells you about how he joined his school's soccer team this year, but you're sure you would've known even if he didn't tell you. he's so much happier these days, but he seems so grown up too. so much more ahead of you in life, at least.
the year you turn 15, things start to feel a little funny. 2 years feels like too big of a difference between the two of you now, and he just feels like too much of a boy. he towers over you now, and his voice has changed so much that you couldn't recognise it when he called out your name at the airport. you notice how the girls around you seem to look at him a little longer, letting their gaze linger on him for a little too long before they notice you at the side, standing awkwardly and feeling just a little too out of place.
you don't know how to feel about the fact that he's almost always looking at you instead.
now, he's quicker at picking up on your body language. he puts an arm around you and holds you when he can tell that your cramps are too bad, he's quick to offer you his jacket when the wind is just a little too chilly, and he's always carrying around your things for you. "just looking out for you," he says. "don't want you feeling alone when i'm right here."
and then you're 16, and lines start to grow a little blurry. it's a year full of insecurities and unfufilled longing, and most of the summer is spent in your head. it's weird to hang around him like that now. you start to distance yourself from him, but you're pretty sure he doesn't notice anyway. he still brings you around for dinner with him and to hang out, and you accept, but you don't ask him to follow you to places you'd like to visit anymore.
you run into a school friend of his one day, and you're suddenly made aware of just how differently he acts around you. his friend's nice to look at, you think. pepe tells you that's he's a soccer teammate from school. he calls you pretty and asks for your instagram, but pepe says something you don't understand in spanish and his friend just nods, apologises, and leaves, leaving you feeling just a little wounded and put off. you wonder if you did something wrong, but you're too scared to even ask your school friends for advice. they've all passed this silly stage anyway— you're the only one who's never even had a crush, let alone be asked out.
pepe gets his first girlfriend by the end of the year, and you're almost happy for him, except you can't help but feel a little jealous. it's silly though, you think. you're just a lovesick teenage girl pining over an older boy. she's cool and loud and she's always able to visit the same places and parties as him. a perfect match. he sees her more often than he sees you anyway.
your friendship ends on a rocky note the year you turn 17. neither of you follow your fathers the next year. neither of you can. it's pepe's last year with you before going off to university.
that summer, you're on your phone almost the whole time, texting a guy from school who's just asked you out. a hockey player of some sort. he parties and drinks a lot, but he's nice to you, and somewhat interested, you suppose.
when pepe finds out, he lets out a huff of laughter. "you're not seriously considering dating him though, are you? this is just for fun, right?"
you feel yourself still at his words. "what do you mean?"
"he won't be good for you. you're just... not like that. that lifestyle wouldn't suit you," he replies nonchalantly.
your blood burns just underneath the surface of your skin in anger and annoyance.
"who are you to say what lifestyle suits me? maybe this is what i want. i've grown up, you know."
you're more hurt than angry, although you're not quite sure why. your tone is indignant and fierce, and you watch as his expression turns neutral and unreadable and his eyes flicker from you, to your phone, and back at you again.
when he realises that you're being serious, his face contorts into an ugly expression, one of anger and almost a little bit of hurt.
"fine, suit yourself then."
then he walks out the room, and hot tears start running down your face.
and that is that. he still says goodbye to you at the airport, but the both of you don't hug this time.
‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊
you try not to think about him for the next two years.
you drown yourself in your schoolwork, tackling assignment after assignment, exam after exam, anything to prevent yourself from indulging in any thoughts of him.
when a childhood friend brings him up one day, asking why you don't meet him during summer anymore, you pretend that he was just a phase. just a blip in your life; minor and insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
time goes by, and you continue to study hard, because you want to study humanities and the arts in university but still have the grades to prove that you could've done stem if you wanted to (like pepe, although you'd never admit to thinking that).
and then in a blink of an eye, you've graduated, and your months long break comes around as you wait for uni results to come back out.
its been a full two years now, but you'd be lying if you said you'd forgotten about him completely.
how could you?
you thought about him during mugging season in school, and during university applications, and sometimes (maybe especially so) during interschool games for soccer, imagining what it would be like if he was here, playing for your school team. (you also wonder what it'd be like to wear his jersey and cheer him on loudly and proudly in front of the whole schoot, but that's not something you're ever going to admit.)
you spend your summer soothing yourself to sleep by reminding yourself that pepe's been gone for two years now, and you're still doing fine. that you have done fine without him, and that you can and will continue to do so.
‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊
imagine your horror when you realise you've been posted the same university as pepe. same campus too.
your father is ecstatic. he immediately wants to call up pepe's dad and tell him the news but you beg him not to, tears in your eyes. you can't risk looking like a hopeless and dependent little puppy even before the school term has started.
before the first day of uni, you've already studied the campus map well enough to plan routes that avoid going near the school of engineering, just so you can avoid pepe. you're almost 100% confident that you'll be able to hide from him for his remaining two years in uni. plus, you definitely look different from the way you did two years ago, so you technically have an extra layer of protection.
except you have an orientation camp the very first week of uni, and you're just that lucky enough to have a familiar face as one of your orientation group leaders.
he recognises you instantly. how could he not?
you half expect him to ignore you, or at least, pretend not to know you. but to your surprise, he smiles. in fact, he beams at you, and he waves before jogging over to sit next to you. your mouth is slightly agape, and you can't tell if this is some kind of cruel joke that he's playing on you right now.
"how have you been? you're lucky to be here today. the weather isn't usually this nice, and i know you get chilly easily." he's still smiling while speaking to you, and he's just acting so... normal, but you?
you feel like smacking him. you left each other on a sour note two years ago, after being friends for more than a decade, and he chooses to talk about the weather, of all things.
but you just put on a smile and act the same.
arguing with a best friend is one thing, having to make small talk about mundane, boring, topics with a friend you've known for years and then forgotten is another. you can't figure out if talking to him is helping heal your heart or slowly shattering it into more tiny little pieces.
‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊
the first few weeks of uni fly by, and you don't end up using any of your pre-planned routes.
in fact, you end up meeting pepe almost every day before you your lessons. for breakfast, or brunch, or lunch... and maybe even dinner, once both your classes are done.
you can’t read him that well, and you wonder if this is only weird for you. but you’re not one to complain. you’re not one to take this for granted either.
you’ve spent years of your life missing summer and pepe, and then you spent two more years missing him without even speaking to him at all. no, you’re definitely not taking this for granted.
you learn that he's playing soccer for a kids charity event that happens yearly, that he's studying mechanical engineering (which doesn't surprise you at all, not really), and that he's broken up with his girlfriend, because of different goals in life or something. you stop yourself from thinking too hard about whether or not the both of you have compatible life goals upon hearing the last part.
he’s still sweet to you.
maybe even more so now that he can actually look out for you. he always gives you his jacket when you’re cold, offers to help you run your errands on busy days, and he even helps you get special oppourtunities thanks to his friends and connections. and when you’re sick, he gives you updates for classwork even though he’s not in the same classes as you, bringing you heat packs and checking up on you daily with warm teas and essential balms.
it's all so lovely that you could almost cry.
except he’s always just a little too stiff around you. too hesitant to touch, too close for distance.
he'll bring you heat packs on your period, and allow you to lean on his stronger frame when the cramps get too bad, but he never gets close enough to cuddle. and when either of you stay over for too long while studying together, he always offers to sleep on the floor or on the couch, but he never allows himself to lie in the same bed as you.
it's all so polite but so frustrating, and you're even more upset because you have absolutely no right to feel that way. he's your best friend, and he has been for years. he's not someone you could ever have the priviledge of dating, and he deserves a friend he can count on, not someone who's helplessly unable to stop their one-sided longing for him.
and so you let another six months slip away as you spend more time with pepe in your head than physically, while he continues keeping a distance from you, leaving you wondering why.
‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊
suddenly it's feburary, and pepe's been so busy with schoolwork and training for the upcoming charity match that you just don't see him that much anymore. you're pulled back into that aching feeling of loneliness, and busying yourself with your own schoolwork and friends doesn't seem to help.
i can't risk doing badly this semester, he says. this is the one that counts. i’ll have to find myself a good internship for portfolio— maybe with formula one, he says. you nod. you’d be proud of him regardless of what he did anyway.
you end up following him to the gym in the early hours of the morning just to hang out with him, even if hanging out now means you just watch him get through his workout routine while you sit next to him and sort out your schedule.
his friends refer to you as pepe's girlfriend now, and you stopped correcting them when you realised that pepe didn't seem to care. you can't blame them anyway, you're together almost all the time. you're always waiting for him at his apartment after classes, usually in an oversized t-shirt or hoodie of his, and he even wakes up early just to bring you breakfast before class.
the domesticity of it all makes you ache, but you can't even bring yourself to imagine what if would be like if your relationship was actually as desired.
‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊ ⊹˚✧ ‧˚₊‧ ₊
pepe visits you the night before the charity match.
he brings you a jersey. his jersey, and he shyly asks if you'd be interested in showing up to watch him the next day. you almost scream with joy, but you control yourself, accepting it gracefully and holding the jersey gently and close to your chest.
you whisper a string of thank yous, careful not to wake your roommate up, and all pepe does is pull you in for a hug. he buries his face into the crook of your neck, arms wrapped tightly around your shoulders and all you can do is press yourself closer to him, taking in the scent of clean laundry and his cologne.
before he leaves, he flashes you a teasing smile, a somewhat knowing look on his face as he asks, "am i going to have to say it, or will you?"
you're caught off guard by his comment, and you just tilt your head in confusion, unsure what he's talking about. but he doesn't explain further. he just chuckles, gently shakes your shoulder, and leaves.

you show up to pepe's match half an hour before it starts, just so you can get a good view of the match. the venue is already half full, and you're just grateful to have gotten front row seats.
you act as casual as you can, pretending that your heart isn't racing while you're wearing his soft jersey, with the number 23 boldly printed onto the back. when your friend teases you about the way your cheeks seem to be permenantly pink, you gently slap her arm and tell her to be quiet in a weak attempt to save your face, which only results in a laughing fit from her.
the match is mostly a blur, but both teams are very evenly matched, and there's suddenly only 4 minutes left to the end of the game and both teams are stuck in a tie.
you're not sure when your focus zoned in on pepe. it could've been since the very start of the match, but you somehow catch that split second when the ball is passed over to him, and his expression changes from one of neutrality to determination. you watch as he expertly drabbles the ball between player to player, rushing to get close enough to the goalpost to shoot before the end of the match.
you're sure that everyone in the venue held their breath at the exact same moment you did, and that time must've stilled when pepe slid and kicked the ball into the goal, just 30s before the end of the match.
the whole venue erupts into cheers. it's defeaning, but all you can think of is how proud you are of him in this moment.
you don't take your eyes off him for even a second, and when the referee finally signals the end of the match, he looks at you too.
he’s all sweaty, hair plastered to his forehead, face flushed.
he's sipping from his bottle, standing directly in front of you, having run straight to you after the match.
your boy.
there's a wicked grin on his face, and you can feel the heat rise up to your face as you take in all of him in awe.
everyone’s staring, you think, but you know he doesn’t care, so why should you?
you barely allow yourself time to hesitate, but he's quicker.
he kisses you.
his mouth is warm and soft, and yet there's a certain pressure and intensity with which he kisses you that makes you think that he probably wanted this as much as you did, maybe more.
and when you both finally break apart for air, you realise that all the cheering is now directed at the both of you, and you can't help but start laughing shyly. he smiles at that, and presses a quick kiss to your temple before rushing off for a debrief, with promises to talk later.
you don't even care that your time together has been cut short, because all you can think about now is how grateful you are that you won't have to return him this jersey.

. . . The Campos garage was alive with its usual chaos. Mechanics tuning the cars, engineers debating strategy calls, and the constant hum of anticipation as the race day unfolded.
Amidst it all, you scurried between the various departments, clipboard in hand, multitasking as an intern for the team.
You loved your job; the adrenaline, the camaraderie, and the shared passion for motorsport. What you didn’t notice, however, was the way Pepe's gaze followed you everywhere.
Pepe had it bad. Everyone on the team knew it. From the way he always found excuses to talk to you, "Do you know where they moved the telemetry sheets?", to the way he straightened up whenever you entered the room, his crush was glaringly obvious.
Everyone, that is, except you. You treated him with the same friendly professionalism you offered everyone else, which only drove Pepe further into his internal spiral.
"He’s hopeless," one of his engineers muttered as Pepe sat in the lounge, pretending not to watch you as you chatted on the phone across the paddock. "Why doesn’t he just tell her?"
"He’s scared she’ll say no," another replied. "But if he doesn’t do something soon, someone else is going to swoop in."
That ‘someone else’ turned out to be Jared McCain. The basketball player had flown in to watch the race and, more importantly, to catch up with you. Jared had been your friend since high school, and while your careers had taken you in different directions, you’d stayed close.
Seeing him again was a treat, and it showed in the way you hugged him as soon as he arrived at the paddock.
Pepe noticed. Oh, did he notice. He had just stepped out of the Campos motorhome when he spotted you laughing with Jared, the two of you leaning close as you exchanged stories.
The way Jared casually draped an arm over your shoulders made Pepe’s stomach twist in a way he didn’t understand. Was it jealousy? Oh, definitely.
"Who’s that?" Pepe asked one of the mechanics, trying his best to not sound too obvious.
"Jared McCain," the mechanic replied, clearly amused. "Plays basketball. He’s a big deal, you know."
Pepe gritted his teeth. "Right. And he’s….close with her?"
"Looks that way," the engineer said, then smirked. "Better shoot your shot, Pepe, or someone else might."
Pepe groaned, running a hand through his hair. "This is torture."
As the day went on, Jared stuck by your side, and Pepe’s mood grew worse. Every laugh you shared with Jared felt like a dagger to his chest. His usual charm and energy were replaced with quiet brooding, and everyone around him noticed.
"You okay, man?" Isack asked during the debrief.
Pepe shook his head. "No. I can’t do this anymore. I can’t just….watch her with him."
"So tell her how you feel," Sebastian, who had been there to watch them race, said. "Seriously, Pepe, it’s not that hard. She likes you, too."
Pepe looked at him skeptically. "How do you know that?"
"She doesn’t treat anyone else the way she treats you," he said. "She lights up when you’re around. Trust me."
Pepe’s heart soared at the thought, but doubt quickly crept back in. "What if I ruin things?"
"You won’t," Isack said firmly. "But if you wait any longer, you might lose her to McCain."
That was all it took. Pepe stood up, his resolve finally solidifying. He wasn’t about to let Jared, or anyone else, take you away from him.
He found you near the Campos garage, chatting with Jared as the post race celebrations wound down. Jared noticed Pepe first, giving him a knowing smirk before stepping aside.
"I’ll catch up with you later," Jared said to you, clapping Pepe on the shoulder as he walked away.
You turned to Pepe, surprised. "Hey! Congrats on the race. You were incredible out there."
Pepe barely heard your words. His heart was pounding, and for a moment, he thought about backing out. But then he saw the way you looked at him; genuine, kind, and completely oblivious to how much he adored you, and he knew he couldn’t stay silent any longer.
"Can we talk?" he blurted out, his voice more serious than usual.
Your brows knitted in concern. "Of course. What’s wrong?"
Pepe took a deep breath, his hands fidgeting nervously. "I’ve been wanting to tell you something for a while, but I didn’t know how. And then today, seeing you with Jared…" He trailed off, his frustration rising to the surface. "I can’t stand the thought of losing you to someone else."
You blinked, completely caught off guard. "Losing me? Pepe, what are you talking about?"
He stepped closer, his dark eyes locking onto yours. "I like you. A lot. More than I’ve ever liked anyone. And I’ve been too scared to tell you because I didn’t think you felt the same. But I can’t keep it to myself anymore. You mean too much to me."
Your breath hitched, the weight of his words sinking in. You stared at him, trying to process what he’d just said. "Pepe, I…"
"I get it if you don’t feel the same," he said quickly, his voice trembling slightly. "But I had to tell you. I couldn’t keep it in any longer."
You took a step closer, your hand brushing against his. “Pepe, I had no idea. I thought… I thought you just saw me as a friend.”
"A friend?" Pepe scoffed, shaking his head. "You’re so much more than that. You’re… everything."
A soft smile spread across your face, and you reached up to cup his cheek. "You’re an idiot for thinking I wouldn’t feel the same."
Pepe’s eyes widened. "Wait… you mean-"
"I like you, too," you said, your voice barely above a whisper. "I have for a while. I just didn’t think you noticed me like that."
Pepe let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, a relieved laugh escaping him. "Noticed you? I’ve been obsessed with you."
You laughed, and the sound made Pepe’s chest swell with joy. He didn’t waste another second. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you into a tight hug.
From a few feet away, Jared leaned against the wall, smirking as he watched the two of you. "Took him long enough," he muttered to himself, shaking his head.
The rest of the paddock watched with quiet satisfaction as Pepe finally got the courage to confess. And as you pulled back from the hug to smile up at him, it was clear to everyone; Pepe Marti wasn’t letting go of you anytime soon.

Something great 𖦹 Pepe Martí
Summary: Pepe thought making your first date special by going to an ice rink—something you loved to do, would be a great idea. The only problem was that he had no clue how to ice skate.
Word count: 1.28k
Disclaimer/s: fluff, reader is Christian Mansell’s sister so this is a brothers best friend type ^_^ hella banter and teasing
Bea speaks! THIS MAY BE IT. this may be my favorite plot.
The sharp winter wind that hit your face was unwelcome, but you accepted it. Why? Because you were on a date with the boy you’d had a crush on since you were young. Your brother’s best friend, which, Chris was not all that happy about.. but he accepted it. Pepe wouldn’t tell you, but the ice skating idea was partially Chris’s idea.
Nimbly tying your skates laces, you tilt your head to look at the tan boy. He was nervous, which you were as well, but he seemed nervous for something else.
“You okay?” You question, nudging his shoulder lightly.
Struggling to tie his laces, his hands shaking slightly, Pepe exhales lowly. “Yeah. Yeah.. How hard can this be? I mean, it’s basically just sliding, right? People slide all the time, I slide all the time.” His eyes flicker to the ice warily, trying to swallow back his nerves.
Grinning at him, you nod slowly. “Sliding.. Righttt.. Definitely, exactly what skating is.” Looking over his concerned expression, it dawns on you. “You’ve never done this before, have you?”
Letting out a nervous chuckle, he shrugs slightly. “Well, uh—no.. but,” he clears his throat and straighten up, “how hard can it be? I race going hundreds of kilometers an hour all the time. Balance, speed, same concept?”
Was be being serious?
A look of disbelief, mixed with amusement forms on your face. “Right. Sure. Because driving has so much in common with two things blades.”
Pepe’s eyes narrow into a mocking scowl. “You’re doubting my skills, is that it? I’m very offended, I brought you here to impress you, y’know? And you’re mocking me.” His gloved hand clutches his coat tightly, adding to his dramatics.
Rolling your eyes, you stand up and offer out your hand. “Oh, I have so much faith in you. I cannot wait to see your impressive skills. Just, don’t fall in the first five seconds and I’ll be very impressed!” Pepe laughs, accepting your hand.
Stepping onto the rink, you begin to skate to the side, letting go of his hand for a split second. When Pepe got onto the ice, he was instantly wobbling, his arms waving about frantically. You couldn’t help but giggle as you skated back to his side and his arm instantly gripped onto your coat.
If his face wasn’t already flushed from the bitter cold, it was definitely flushed now. “Okay. Definitely harder than I imagined.” He huffs out breathlessly.
Shrugging, you place your hand over his. Even through the soft gloves he wore, Pepe’s skin was still heating up at your gentle touch. “Come on speedy. You’ve got this.” You whisper encouragingly, your lips curling upwards—barely holding back a laugh.
“So—“ You almost let go of him, but Pepe’s eyes shoot wide in panic.
His grip tightens on your arm, his other hand clasping over yours. “Wait! Wait! Don’t let go.. not yet. I’m just.. I need to collect my bearings.”
Your eyebrow lifts doubtfully. “You’re gripping my arm like your life depends on it.. seems like you need to gather a little more than just your bearings.”
Slowly moving alongside the edge of the barrier, Pepe glances at you with a sheepish grin. “Uh, because it does? One wrong move and im falling and landing on these skates and well—“
“Okay. That’s… dark.” You laugh lightly, “just relax, bend your knees a little and keep your weight forward, and—“
Before you could finished, Pepe tries to glide forward and stumbles. A soft gasp leaves your lips as you pull him back, stabilizing the both of you.
“Alright, maybe just stick to standing for now.”
Pepe was definitely blushing. This was supposed to be a cute, fun date but, instead he was making a fool of himself. “I’m actually really skilled at this, I’m just holding back for your sake. Don’t want to embarrass you and all that stuff.” He shrugs nonchalantly.
You laugh, shaking your head. “So generous of you, Pep.” The nickname slides off your tongue so easily, you don’t even catch it. Pepe does though, and his stomach flips.
“Come on, I’ll show you.” You smile, nodding towards the barrier, “just keep your hand by that.”
Moving behind him, gently holding his forearms arms to guide him, Pepe slowly skates forward. He was wobbly at first, but eventually got the hang of it, his confidence growing more and more with every inch.
Excitement flashes in his eyes, “hey! Look! I’m doing it! I’m—“
Pepe trips over his own feet, his skates butting into the ice. His hand goes to grab you for balance, but the momentum just pulls them down. Your heart drops the second you feel your balance shift forward.
Landing with a soft thump, you burst into laughter. The loud, unapologetic laughter only makes Pepe groan in embarrassment.
Letting go of you, his hands come up to cover his face. The sight was endearing to you, finding it quite adorable. “Oh God.” He grumbles, “this is it. This is the moment you tell your brother why you never want to see me again.”
Still giggling, your eyes soften as you look down at him. “Are you kidding? This is the highlight of my year—of well, anything ever.” You pause, wondering if some teasing would be appropriate for his embarrassed state.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you blush this much.”
Moving this fingers to peek at her, “this is not the way I pictured our first date going. This is a mess.”
Smiling adoringly at him, you shake your head in disagreement. “I think it’s perfect.”
Shifting one hand to hold yourself table against the cold ice, you brush a stray strand out of your face. You falter, the both of you realizing just how close you are.
Pepe’s breath hitches in his throat when your head dips only an inch towards him. The tension flowing between you could be cut with a knife. A heated, palpable, tension that had Pepe’s eyes flickering around your face, falling to your lips and back up to your eyes with a nervous, but hopeful look.
Without skipping a beat, Pepe leans up just enough for his lips to hover over hers, his eyes still watching you carefully. When your eyes begin to flutter shut, Pepe takes that as his sign and he closes the short distance.
Your lips move in sink. It’s slow and soft and full of a million different emotions. Your heart beat rapidly in your chest. Despite the freezing outdoor weather, you felt warm. Your lips on fire as they moved against Pepe’s.
When you both finally separate, Pepe’s head falls back against the ice lightly. His face is somehow redder, but you just grin widely.
“Are you going to blame that on the ice, too?” You tease, chewing on the inside of your cheek.
Pepe chuckles, your words only worsening his flustered state. “No.” He smiles, eyes disappearing behind his squint. “That one I definitely meant to do.”
Humming, your head tilts to the side as you smirk. “Good. Because, that—that was definitely my favorite part of the date.”
Both of you fall into a short laughter before you roll off of him. Pepe tries to stand and help you up, but stumbles again. Luckily, your reflexes kicked in and you catch him before you two fall again.
Grinning sheepishly, Pepe rubs the back of his neck. “Okay, new goal: stay upright for one whole minute.”
Your eyes widen dramatically, as if he’d said something outrageous. “Baby steps, Pepe. Baby steps..”
The boys eyes roll. “Funny.” He takes your hand in his, squeezing it once. “I definitely got it now.”
“We’ll see about that…”
likes, comments, and reblog’s are all appreciated. lmk if you’d like to be tagged in future pepe posts.

Omd please if you could do a story where arvids girl is teasing him abt being more boyfriendy with pepe bcos they're in the 'honeymoon" phase and she gets jealous
soo, I'm really sorry 'cause it isn't exactly what you requested but I had an idea with Pepe and I wrote it down. Let me know if you like it anyways, or I will make one just like you wanted it!
pepe martí x reader, established relationship
~ "that's a terrible one"
Pepe was determined, kind, and so intelligent that he could make anyone smile just by meeting him.
But above all, he was dedicated.
He was deeply grateful for his journey in motorsport and always trusted the Red Bull driver academy and his team, despite the terrible luck that had made his season challenging.
With the two-month break from Formula 2, and his girlfriend busy with school, lessons, and studying, he had plenty of time to reconnect with the junior categories and work alongside the academy’s new entries.
Among them was the incredible Formula 3 rookie, Arvid Lindblad, who had left everyone in awe and was set to join Campos in the 2025 season.
In the preceding weeks, the Spaniard had traveled to Barcelona to watch the Eurocup3 and Spanish Formula 4 race weekends, reconnecting with his roots. Then, at the team’s request, he and Arvid attended the final MotoGP race, surprising everyone with their instant chemistry before even racing together.
On one side was the tall, polite, composed Spaniard who listened and responded with a smile. On the other was the whirlwind of words that was the British rookie, dressed in oversized trendy outfits, bringing a fresh vibe to Campos.
They had spent a lot of time together, laughing and creating content around the circuit, perfectly delivering what the team wanted while giving fans exactly what they loved.
A week later, Gaby and Christian had decided to organize a weekend in London with Pepe and his girlfriend.
“He’s got Arvid now; he won’t even look at me” his girlfriend joked to the British woman walking beside her, loud enough for Pepe to hear from ahead where he was walking with Christian.
“Sorry?” the Spaniard turned around, hands buried deep in the pockets of his blue jacket.
“I said you don’t even look at me anymore. You’ve got Arvid now.”
“He’s been cheating on me, and you didn’t care to tell me?” Christian chimed in, clutching his chest dramatically as they strolled through St. James’ Park.
Everyone burst out laughing while Pepe’s girlfriend tucked her hands into her scarf, hiding her nose and cheeks, which were slowly turning red from the cold.
“I’m sorry for cheating; Gaby will treat you right” Pepe teased Christian, pretending to steal his girlfriend while Christian clung to his own.
Pepe’s girlfriend, a petite five-foot-something figure walking beside him, smiled. Her hair was tucked into her scarf, and she breathed in the air of a London she loved.“Are you cold?” Pepe asked, taking her hand and slipping it into the pocket of his Red Bull jacket, his thumb stroking her knuckles.
“I’m always cold, Pepe” she replied, knowing full well that her constant chilliness was something he always took care of.
Pepe and Christian had a strong bond, and seeing them together was a joy. So, when the F3 driver invited them for the weekend, they had packed their bags immediately. Spending time with Christian and Gaby also brought the two women closer, as they, like their boyfriends, perfectly complemented each other, creating a fun and close-knit group.
They loved teasing and joking with each other, and this was the perfect moment to poke fun at Pepe. His girlfriend seized the opportunity without hesitation.
“And what do you mean about Arvid?” Pepe asked, glancing down at her as they walked along the little path that ducks shared with their ducklings.
“He’s all you’ve been thinking about for the past month. Don’t even get me started on those videos.”
Pepe chuckled, raising his eyebrows as if to ask if she was serious. She, however, maintained an honest expression.
“Are you saying that for real?”
“I mean, you’re really boyfriendy with him.”
“And I guess you’re implying that I’m not with you.”
Her head tilted back slightly, the wind brushing her cheeks as she gave him a playful smile. She was joking, and both of them knew it, but they were curious to see how far it would go.
“I mean, you spend a lot of time with him and look at him as if he were the love of your life.”
“And what should I say about you and Gaby?” he retorted, grinning. “You’re always going on your dates; I think she’s a pinned chat on your phone, and—”
She couldn’t help but laugh as Christian and Gaby lined up at a café while she and Pepe stopped, standing face-to-face.
This spot was one of her favorites in London, where she loved walking with a hot chocolate in hand, headphones in, and music blasting.
“I should remind you that it’s only because you’re in your honeymoon phase with Arvid. You’ll see the bad sides later.”
Pepe took her other hand, slipping it into his jacket pocket to warm it with his, moving closer with that sweet look he always wore.
“I have to say, it’s a great honeymoon nonetheless.”
She bit her cheek to keep a straight face, though her playful expression was giving her away.
“And what do you mean by bad sides?” he asked, curious. “Are there bad sides to being with me?”
“Many, many for sure.”
Pepe leaned down slightly, wrapping her completely in his arms and burying her face in his blue Red Bull jacket.
“List them, then,” he teased.
“You’re too nice, and everyone loves you.”
She placed her hands on his shoulders, hugging him back, as Christian and Gaby returned with steaming cups of tea.
“That’s a terrible one" joked the Campos driver, kissing her forehead before handing her the cup Christian had given him.
As they strolled down The Mall, the four chatted, surrounded by a slightly windy but not too damp London, kissed by timid sunshine.
The scent of falling leaves mixed with the sweetness of candied almonds from nearby stands, while some passersby asked for directions, and others watched them laugh and enjoy their time together.
“Pepe and I decided something” his girlfriend suddenly announced, grabbing the attention of Christian and Gaby while Pepe played along.
“We’re splitting up but staying good friends,” she said seriously.
At that moment, the world seemed to crumble for the Australian and the Brit, whose jaws dropped as they stared at Pepe to figure out if it was a joke or the truth.
“We realized we have some differences that the other doesn’t enjoy, unlike with other people, so it’s better this way.”
“What do you mean?” Christian asked, his eyes wide in shock.
“We’ve had some flings” she replied casually.
Gaby, convinced that if those two broke up, she’d never believe in love again, couldn’t process it. Pepe and his girlfriend were the perfect match—two people who effortlessly connected in ways she’d never seen before.
“No, you haven’t” Gaby declared, shaking her head.
Pepe and his girlfriend smiled, struggling to keep the joke going, even though their friends’ sad, confused faces made them feel a bit guilty.
“With who?” Christian asked, earning a gentle smack on the hand from Gaby, who thought it wasn’t the time for such questions.
“Your girlfriend” they replied in unison.
The Australian furrowed his brow, confused.
“Both of you? Pepe?” He was at a loss for words.
“No, stop this nonsense; it’s not funny” he said, visibly upset.
At that moment, Pepe and his girlfriend burst into laughter, exchanging looks as if they had just pulled off the joke of the decade while walking ahead of the group.
“You assholes!” Christian exclaimed, exasperated.
“You actually believed it?” Gaby asked, holding onto Christian’s arm, relieved to see them laugh it off.
“As if you didn’t” Pepe retorted.
That evening, after a lovely dinner at a restaurant near Chinatown, they all headed back to their hotel, trying to teach Pepe how to navigate the Tube using a rule his girlfriend had devised.
“If you miss a train or anything, just get off at the first stop and wait there. We’ll come find you.”
“I’m not a child,” the Spaniard protested, sitting on one of the Piccadilly Line trains with his arms crossed, playfully nudging his girlfriend’s feet as she studied the map.
“I’m quite positive you are” she replied with a smile, focused on the intricate map, unaware that Pepe had taken out his phone and snapped a picture of her.
Later, once they were in their room, changed into their pajamas, and cuddled in bed watching a movie, Pepe sent her the photo.
As she opened the message, he began to speak.
“Honeymoon or not, you’re the only thing about me without bad sides” he said.
She smiled, her eyes soft and warm.
“And I love you like I love yapping about nerdy facts.”
“I think that’s the most thoughtful way you’ve told me you love me.”
Pepe leaned his head back against his hands.
“Still, maybe you’re right. I’m rather boyfriendy with Arvid.”
“Be careful, I’m a little jealous of you,” she said, giving him a quick kiss where his ear met his jawline.
“You said it—everyone loves me,” he joked, wrapping his arms around her waist to pull her closer, breathing in her scent and feeling as though, even fifty years from now, they would still be just like this.
Because, as Gaby thought, if those two ever broke up, no one would believe in love anymore.
Beyond all the jokes and teasing, Pepe and that girl had found each other through some stroke of fate, and they were never meant to let each other go.
