(Hopefully by this point you’ve finished all 125 minutes of 'Truth’, the kind of person who isn’t bothered by spoilers, or are just deciding if you still want to keep watching.)

Well...the thing with biopics (though in IMDB’s case --- apparently this film is classed as ‘historical’...which makes sense...but comes as a surprise...because I don’t usually watch titles produced by The History Channel) is that creative license usually comes into play to aid storytelling.
One example? My favourite scene in ‘Darkest Hour‘: Churchill taking the train. Joe mentions in the commentary that it did not happen.
PS: During a rewatch...I noticed one interesting thing towards the end of the credits....the film was shot in NSW! Whoa! What!? Maybe I wasn’t much in tune to the news during 2014 as I thought (Or at least....had enough confidence that what I deemed newsworthy would just find its way to me --- I guess it had...in hindsight...but...just more than 5 years later)
So of course I wondered....where this was:

(Then I found out they actually filmed somewhere in Western Sydney...so....I’m still trying to think which area most resembles that. I mean...they could have shot that in the CBD....but filmed a bulk of the film somewhere in suburbia)
PPS: After learning of how fiery the opinions are over what happened...I’m glad that the NSW Government was open to embrace the production of the film.
PPPS: The ‘Screen To Script’ for this one took awhile because I wanted to find the name of Mary’s son. Interestingly...it doesn’t exist in public! How cool is that? So I opted to go with ‘The Boy’ which was a term used to refer to him.

HIGHLIGHT:
INT. MARY'S HOUSE (SITTING ROOM) - NIGHT
MARY is sitting with her son. He has a camcorder pointed at her.
THE BOY We're sitting here with Mommy. Thank you for being here, Mommy.
MARY Oh, thank you for having me.
THE BOY Mommy, you were away for a long time again.
MARY Mmm Hmm.
THE BOY What were you doing?
MARY I was in New York working on the news.
THE BOY And what does that entail?
MARY I was asking questions. Questions help reporters get to the truth.
THE BOY Were you with the men with the cameras?
MARY Mmm Hmm.
She nods.
He studies her closely. Eyes slightly narrowed.
THE BOY Interesting.
His mother mirrors him.
THE BOY Can I have a new camera, please?
MARY We'll have to talk to your dad about that for Christmas.
THE BOY I'm trying to get to the truth here, Mommy. Answer the question.
She smiles warmly.
MARY I think this interview is over.
She stands and closes the camera.
THE BOY OK.
MARY Nice try.

My verdict of the film: 8/10
