Azores islands

Sete ilhas dos Açores sob aviso amarelo por vento e agitação marítima

O Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA) emitiu hoje avisos amarelos para os próximos dois dias, para as ilhas dos grupos Oriental e Central dos Açores, devido às previsões de vento e agitação marítima.

Em comunicado, o IPMA esclarece que as ilhas do grupo Oriental (São Miguel e Santa Maria) vão estar sob aviso amarelo entre as 17h locais de quarta-feira (mais uma hora em Lisboa) e as 5h de quinta-feira, devido ao vento (direção de noroeste, rodando para norte) e à agitação marítima (ondas de norte).

As ilhas do grupo central dos Açores (Terceira, Pico, São Jorge, Graciosa e Faial) vão também estar sob aviso amarelo entre as 14h locais de quarta-feira e as 2h de quinta-feira, devido à agitação marítima e ao vento.

O aviso amarelo, o menos grave de uma escala de três, é emitido pelo IPMA sempre que existe uma situação de risco para determinadas atividades dependentes da situação meteorológica.

A Autoridade Marítima Nacional e a Marinha também alertaram hoje para "um agravamento considerável" das condições meteorológicas e de agitação marítima no arquipélago dos Açores, nos próximos dois dias.

Em comunicado, as duas entidades referem que as previsões indicam que a agitação marítima "será caracterizada por uma ondulação proveniente do quadrante norte, com uma altura significativa que poderá atingir os seis metros e uma altura máxima de 11 metros, com um período médio a variar entre os nove e os 12 segundos".

São ainda esperados ventos provenientes de norte-nordeste, com uma intensidade média de até 65km/h [quilómetros/hora] e rajadas até 117km/h.

Assim, a Autoridade Marítima Nacional e a Marinha alertam toda a comunidade marítima e a população em geral para os cuidados a ter, tanto na preparação de uma ida para o mar, como quando estão no mar ou em zonas costeiras.

Depressão Laurence coloca ilhas dos Açores sob aviso laranja

O Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA) colocou hoje as nove ilhas dos Açores sob avisos laranja e amarelo, devido aos efeitos da depressão Laurence que atingirá o arquipélago no sábado.

Segundo um comunicado do Centro de Previsão e Vigilância Meteorológica dos Açores do IPMA, a depressão Laurence, com um sistema frontal associado, deverá localizar-se, no sábado, a cerca de 90 quilómetros a norte da ilha Graciosa, no grupo Central, “com uma pressão no seu centro de 999 hPa [hectopascal]”, e os efeitos deverão começar a sentir-se a partir da tarde deste dia.

“Desta forma, prevê-se que a depressão Laurence provoque um aumento significativo da intensidade do vento e da agitação marítima em todo o arquipélago”, adianta.

De acordo com o IPMA, as rajadas de vento, de noroeste, “deverão rondar os 110 km/h [quilómetros/hora] no grupo Ocidental, os 120 km/h no grupo Central e os 100 km/h no grupo Oriental”.

As ondas, também de noroeste, “poderão atingir os nove metros de altura significativa nos grupos Central e Oriental (com altura máxima até aos 18 metros) e os oito metros no grupo Ocidental (com altura máxima até aos 15 metros)”.

Devido à passagem da depressão Laurence pelo arquipélago dos Açores, o IPMA emitiu hoje avisos laranja e amarelo para todas as ilhas.

As ilhas do grupo Ocidental (Flores e Corvo) vão estar sob aviso laranja, por vento, das 17h00 locais (mais uma hora em Lisboa) de sábado e as 5h00 de domingo, e por agitação marítima, das 20h00 de sábado às 5h00 de domingo.

Flores e Corvo estarão ainda sob aviso amarelo de vento (das 14h00 às 17h00 de sábado e das 5h00 às 14h00 de domingo) e por agitação marítima (das 17h00 às 20h00 de sábado e das 5h00 às 14h00 de domingo).

Quanto ao grupo Central (Terceira, São Jorge, Pico, Graciosa e Faial), o IPMA emitiu aviso laranja por vento (das 02h00 às 17h00 de domingo) e por agitação marítima (das 2h00 às 14h00 de domingo).

Para as ilhas Terceira, São Jorge, Pico, Graciosa e Faial também vigora o aviso amarelo por vento (entre as 17h00 de sábado e as 2h00 de domingo e entre as 17h00 e as 23h00 de domingo) e por agitação marítima (entre as 23h00 de sábado e as 2h00 de domingo e entre as 14h00 e as 23h00 de domingo).

Para o grupo Oriental (São Miguel e Santa Maria), foi emitido um aviso laranja por agitação marítima, para vigorar das 8h00 às 23h00 de domingo.

São Miguel e Santa Maria estão ainda sob aviso amarelo por vento (das 2h00 às 23h00 de domingo) e por agitação marítima (das 5h00 às 8h00 de domingo e das 23h00 de domingo às 5h00 de segunda-feira).

O aviso laranja é emitido pelo IPMA sempre que existe situação meteorológica de risco moderado a elevado.

O aviso amarelo, o menos grave de uma escala de três, é emitido sempre que existe uma situação de risco para determinadas atividades dependentes da situação meteorológica.

Első Azori nap - Santa Maria

2019. április 24-én indultam útnak az Azori-szigetekre. Már nagyon régóta és sokáig terveztem ezt az utamat, ez az első melyen egyedül veszek részt.

Mindenek előtt pár dolog a szigetekről:

Az Azori-szigetek az Atlanti-óceánon helyezkedik el, majdnem Amerika és Európa között, a szigetek Portugáliához tartoznak. A szigetcsoport a nevét a kék óceánról kapta, hiszen portugálul a kék: “azul”. A szigetek három csoportban helyezkednek el. Nyugaton Flores és Corvo. Keleten Sao Miguel és Santa Maria. Középen pedig Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Faial és Pico.

Lisszaboni átszállással, éjszaka érkeztem Ponta Delgada-ba, mely a legnagyobb sziget, Sao Miguel és tulajdonképpen az Azori-szigetek fővárosa is egyben. A szállásom 30 perc sétára volt a repülőtérről, így megvolt a napi kisebb túra is.

Alvásra csak 2 órám volt, mert másnap reggel átrepültem egy ingyen jeggyel (köszönet érte a Sata-nak, az azori légitársaságnak) Santa Maria szigetre. A repülőút nagyon rövid volt, a repülőgép pedig nagyon kicsi. Az út felszállástól leszállásig 15 perc, a repülőgépen 36 férőhely volt. Íme a repülő:

Minden sziget egy szín nevét is viseli. Santa Maria a nap szigete, így tehát a sárga színt kapta. Ez fekszik legközelebb az Egyenlítőhöz, ez a legnaposabb sziget. Ezt meg is tapasztaltam, mert szerencsére egész nap nagyon szép volt az idő. A felhők sajnos előbukkantak, de kellemes 18-20 fok körüli idő volt. A napot Vila do Porto, Santa Maria központi helyének a felfedezésével töltöttem el. Vila do Porto a sziget nyugati részén fekszik, a tervem az volt hogy elsétálok a keleti partra, azonban annyi szépség volt útközben, hogy csak Vila do Porto városát ismertem meg egy nap alatt. A napi 32 km séta bizonyítja, hogy nem volt tétlenkedés a nap folyamán. Legelőször a kikötőbe mentem, hogy lássam az óceánt, nagyon szép látvány fogadott. Az óceán, a sziklák, a fekete homok, teljesen lenyűgöző.

A nap további részében a városban sétáltam és tettem egy körtúrát a város körül. Mint minden azori városban, itt is megtalálható a fekete fehér színű templom. Az azori emberek nagyon vallásosak, így minden szigeten számítok 1-1 szép templom épületre.

Délután a körút során rengeteg legelő mellett mentem el, ahol megszámlálhatatlanul sok tehenet láttam, valószínűleg ők jobban féltek tőlem, mint én tőlük.

A tehenek mellett a virágok voltak nagyon szép számban jelen, minden színben, formában és fajtában és bárhol az út mentén is akár.

Nap végén visszarepültem Sao Miguel-re, az elkövetkezendő napokat ott töltöm.

40 years of life without ever leaving puberty. The children's book collection Uma Aventura is back with two special editions that celebrate the 40th anniversary of the series' launch. Pedro, João, Chico, the twins Teresa and Luísa and the dogs Caracol and Faial are back, at the hands of the writers Ana Maria Magalhães and Isabel Alçada, in new adventures full of action and suspense. The first book comes out this month, with the name Uma Aventura nas Arabias. In October, Uma Aventura na Quinta dos Enigmas will be published, announced by the publisher Caminho. Both new copies have illustrations by Arlindo Fagundes, who was in charge of the covers of all the works in the collection. Since the first book (An Adventure in the City, in 1982), the account has already been published in 63 titles and 800 reprints over these forty years.
