Youtuber I watch taking 5 whole minutes out of a 20 minute video to disclaim about why she's using original terminology for cultural clothing and explaining that she's unfamiliar with the language she may not pronounce things right really making me realize how thoroughly people are required to cover their asses about this stuff to avoid being Attacked By The Mob that is online internet fans and discoursers. Like damn. Girl this could have been two sentences, but you had to preface it with a mind boggling amount of talk about cultural appropriation that makes it feel so surface level rather than an actual choice you made. Just say it's the most accurate and respectful thing and move on - I honestly don't think people would have cared if you didn't point it out. But now I'm skipping half your video to get past the moral disclaimers and into the actual information you're talking about. Please be serious.
