#Mar-Vell’s total lack of direction is really interesting to me#he seems to have briefly forgotten about his quest for revenge#this character’s life is really defined by being extremely confined by military environments#though it seems as though he has a lot of decision-making skills as a capable Captain#I assume this is the first time in his life he hasn’t had some kind of assigned mission and person giving him orders#of course that’s not actually true- Zo gives him orders now#but it seems that that’s somehow less intrusive to his mental state where he can forget about it#maybe because Mar-Vell is no longer trying to fit into the norms of any kind of society- Kree or human#also perhaps the sensation of being monitored and able to be punished with pain for disobedience is less ever-present with the mystical Zo#compared to the monitor watch that Yon-Rogg had imbedded in Mar-Vell’s wrist#marvel#mar vell#my posts#comic panels
