I think my favourite part about Tales of the TARDIS is that we get to see companions who have grown old, who are allowed to grow old.
Because in NuWho its become a trend for companions to leave in violent and brutal ways, only leaving because theyre ripped away. But Tales of the TARDIS let us see companions who grew old, lived lives after the Doctor. They get the soft ending of growing old.
Jamie gets to have daughters and grandchildren. Peri becomes a warrior queen. Vicki gets to live with her love. Tegan gets to chase her own adventures. Jo lives a life with her husband.
They get the opportunity to grow old. Leaving the Doctor isn't the end of them, rather it's the start of a different, maybe even better adventure. These shorts hold then companions and say 'it isn't a tragedy' and it's refreshing after the tragic exits of modern companions.
#Wren rambles#Doctor who#Classic Doctor who#Because so many of their stories could have ended in tragedy#Jamie was dumped back into a war zone with no memories#Vicki knew nothing about living in ancient Greece#Many just left on random scattered planets or space stations#And we had no idea if they had a happy ending or not#No idea if they were right to leave#And they WERE.#It makes me very happy

193. Sonic the Hedgehog #125
Sonic Adventure 2.5: Ωmegλ
Writer: Karl Bollers Pencils: Dave Manak, Art Mawhinney, Ron Lim, Dawn Best, Steven Butler, and J. Axer Colors: Jason Jensen
Welcome to the end of the era, folks! As you can see from the credits above, though this one isn't quite as big or dramatic as Endgame, it's still a very important issue, with bombastic action that drives the story forward and changes the fate of the preboot world forever. Here, we reach the conclusion of not one but two different arcs that have dominated this era of the comic, so without further ado - let's do it to it!
Last issue, we discovered that Mobius is Earth, and that the Xorda are prepared to execute every living members of this planet as revenge for some random humans dissecting one of their ambassadors thousands of years ago. Seems like overkill, guys! Rotor, having overheard everything going on in the castle from his lab, has hastily developed a technological measure that should allow them to communicate directly with the Xorda in the form of a telepathic helmet. Sally volunteers herself as the one to contact them, believing that she can make a good argument based on her and Nicole's research, and puts on the helmet, suddenly finding herself in a bizarre space surrounded by surprised Xorda.
This reveal is even better than the last one! Yes, the Xorda's gene bombs inadvertently caused the DNA of ordinary Earth animals to be mixed with deconstructed human DNA, which only goes further to explain why Mobians are all so humanlike. With the Xorda still on their genocidal streak, Eggman contacts the king once again to lay out his new plan to drive them away - he wants Sonic to come to his base to use his super speed to power a giant mecha that has enough force to just punch the aliens clear out of this solar system. It's a good idea, and Eggman is being genuine (for once) about his desires to defeat the Xorda, but King Max knows that with the upper hand he's gained in negotiations, he can get something more out of this deal.
As Eggman angrily agrees, we travel back to the liminal space that is the afterlife, only to find Knuckles exiting the Chaos Force almost as soon as he's entered it, alarmed at having sensed danger to the entire planet. He demands answers from Aurora, wanting to know if it's possible for him to return, and she hesitates, clearly uncomfortable at the line of questioning. In Knothole, Sally rallies all the people fit to fight to be ready for anything in case Eggman's plan fails, and on Angel Island Locke similarly encourages the theocracy, the Legion, and even the dingoes to work together to muster up a fighting force. Sonic gets ready to head off to Eggman's base to power the robot, but Sally insists on coming along, saying that if Sonic falls in battle, her place is at his side until the end. And so, they arrive and both strap into the robot, which, powered by Sonic's super speed, puts up a fight against the Xorda spaceship currently hovering over Eggman's base in New Megaopolis.
Sally is delighted at their apparent success, but Eggman then shows his true colors by strapping Sonic into the seat, intending to use his power to fuel his robot until Sonic dies of starvation. However, his betrayal is quickly sidelined as a mysterious device drops into Mobius' Southern Tundra from orbit, and the Xorda once again telepathically contact everyone on the planet to explain their newest plan.
Really, Xorda, did you have to show your hand and reveal what your newest plan is? I mean, I do want it to fail as much as the next person, but if you wanted to ensure that it couldn't be stopped, then just… don't mention it to anyone? The Southern Tundra is literally Antarctica, a frozen wasteland where no one even lives apart from exiles like Nate Morgan (RIP). Even if Rotor or Eggman's instruments detected its presence on the continent, they wouldn't know what its purpose is just from looking at it, and might not be able to formulate a plan in time to stop it. But since the Xorda have so very kindly explained to everyone how the Quantum Dial works, Eggman reluctantly releases Sonic to pilot the Jaeger once more, intending to smash the Dial to bits with it. Meanwhile, in the afterlife, Knuckles continues to insist that he be allowed to come back to life to save his friends, and Athair supports him while Aurora desperately pleads with him to reconsider.
You know, maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I like the concept of Aurora as a deity. She's not omnipotent, and she's definitely not perfect. It's clear that due to her lofty position high above the mortal plane, she's so wrapped up in the enormity of the world's mysteries and the knowledge that can be gained thereof that she's kind of blind to the joys that ordinary people take in their mortal life on Mobius. And yet she's ultimately benevolent or at least benign, allowing people to make their own decisions regardless of what she feels they should do, and "lesser" beings such as Athair feel comfortable addressing her informally and generally being flippant if they feel like it. Back in the tundra, the world quickly finds out that some kind of invisible defensive grid surrounding the Dial prevents anything technological from getting close to it, causing Station Square's nuclear missiles to fall apart harmlessly before they hit it. And thus, every fighting fit being on the planet masses on the continent, ready for a final desperate assault for the fate of their planet.
Laser cannons erupt from the ground, firing at the attacking force and causing them to scatter. At the same time, Eggman's robot reaches the Dial, only to fall apart the same as the missiles, causing Sonic and Sally to fall out of it into the snow nearby. Nicole (who somehow didn't fall apart - maybe because she's not a weapon and thus wasn't targeted by the defensive grid?) takes this chance to run a quick analysis on the device, and Rotor, upon receiving her data, deduces that while the Dial isn't designed to stop moving once in motion, a sufficient counter-force would be enough to disintegrate its gears and halt its progression. Sonic suggests he could create that counter-force with his speed, but Nicole discourages this, as the resulting implosion of matter around the Dial would kill Sonic. She then gets another reading from the device, and discovers to her, Sally, and Sonic's horror that a quantum wave is about to expand out from the Dial, incinerating everything in a hundred mile radius. Sally and Sonic realize they're too late, and begin to say a last "I love you" to each other as the wave rushes toward them, but it suddenly, inexplicably dissipates just before it hits them, leaving them shocked and baffled. But what - or who - is responsible for this apparent miracle?
You guys didn't really think Rad Red would stay dead, did you? Nah man, this is a comic book! Welcome back to the mortal coil, buddy, we missed ya! The Dial's defenses have all been disabled by Knuckles' final burst of power, but the danger isn't over yet - the arm is still in motion, and with time quickly running out, only Rotor's counter-force suggestion seems feasible.
I'll admit, when I first read this issue I didn't see this coming at all. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried. Y'all already know I'm kind of a sucker for this pairing, and truly, this is far more in character than what we saw last issue. Sonic may not be sappy or romantic, but he is incredibly loving, even if he doesn't always openly show it. And it's always been clear, from the very first issue of the comic and every issue in between, that whatever problems they have, whatever evils might try to tear them apart, Sonic the Hedgehog truly, deeply loves Sally Acorn, and has ever since they were children. A final confession of love before a heroic sacrifice is just his style.
And so, he runs. He leaves without another word, not looking back, refusing to let himself be tempted to stay. Sally is left behind in tears as Sonic puts his plan into action, racing counter-clockwise around the Dial. He's saved the world so many times, and now, if he can push himself to his limits and pull it off once more, it will have all been worth it…
The Dial's gears grind to a halt, and the device implodes. Everyone stares out in shock at the resulting crater, wondering about Sonic's fate, until Sally approaches with the news they all feared.
And thus ends the legacy of Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm afraid that we've reached the end of this comic, guys. The world has been saved, and though the lives of those close to him will never be the same, he will always be remembered as a hero the world over, and his… hey, wait a second. Remember how the Quantum Dial was supposed to create a black hole? And you know how in science fiction, black holes are always some kind of portal into another part of the universe? Let's zip away from Mobius - far away, 849,000 light years in fact - to take a look at the barren surface of some distant, alien planet. It's unremarkable at best - but suddenly, a flash of light illuminates the rocky surface, and when it disappears…
Sonic the Hedgehog is lying on the surface of the planet. Unconscious, but alive.

New/revised/whatever- List of stuff
Egos (Marks/Jacks) that I have written for or at least actually have thought about HCS/other universes for: (Just some brief rambles about them, please don't hesitate to ask about them :3)
-Anti, Two takes really, I like him soft, like him mean, hes just fun to write, plenty of different ways to spin why he acts out, what he is and all that. My current fav way to portray him is a missing piece of Seans soul, which means hes unstable as a ‘person’ (cough, not really a human but not, not human either.) And how he has static filled blue eyes but usually hides them with the scary emerald green...
-Jameson, I will always stand by this kinda universe i created with a friend aages ao that Shawn took away Jamesons voice when being puppeteered by an awful ink creature that shares his body. Giving Jameson a lovely fear of knives, some scars, and some very damaged vocals..
-Crank, Oh my fucking boi, a near dead human spliced with a bunch of robot parts..human skin tangled with wires and a heart incased in metal..hes a right mess, a voice in his head that makes him feel all sorts of bad.. He tries his best..he cries oil, I hardly get to write him but I love him.
-Blank, another big fav oi, black hollow eyes..a tendency to faint... My Hc involves him having been in an accident that almost killed him, leaving him with a very rare heart condition. He also has an aura which..kinda ties into him having a few abilities and stuff.
-Nes.. He started off as my own kinda Ethan ego, basically Ethan who was mistreated and really lost his marbles..hes great for the real twisted messed up kinda stuff, so dependant on others, a minor murderer, and has been eyed off by a certain ice cream driver for quite some time...
-Were eth, Okay granted this was literally just kinda an idea that..Eth became a were wolf boi, fangs, tail, ears. Hes just a fun lil pupper
-Eden. Succubus Ethan basically, but well, he again kinda turned into his own thing separate from Ethan. He's got a tail and wings, and hes a lovely lithe thing. He doesnt dare do things without consent, just gets a bit touchy-feely when hes gone without any energy for too long. Very wide stunning saphire eyes.
- Jackie Oh my lad..Buff, trans, adorable, sweet. I always love tinkering around with how/what powers he has tbh..and like- I’ve always had the hc that his eyes are lilac?? or gold. Depending on things.. and he works either at a comic book store, a gym, or at the counter of a gas station. Gives the best hugs. Also I love AUS where hes a phoniex because of uhm?? Big fucking red wings??? YES.
-Hen, Getting his accent right is tough but other than that I love writing about the tired doctor living off coffee and ignoring himself in favor of others.
-Chase The fucking best dad, sunshine lad. Running a vlogging channel and doing his best while combatting depression..I hc him to have chronic fatigue so he has to push himself extra hard. but He does well in trying to get better and look after himself and only slips up like any other helpless human. Very fun to write.
- Robbie. Sof.t zombie lad. Drown in a sweater. Stutters and is v quiet. Slow with speech. Struggles to see sometimes. Loves soft textures.Loves attention. Overall soft fucking lad.
-KOTS, To mean known as Simon. Actually v smart, big brain, very scattered n shy and nervous and squirrelish. Loves books n plants, loves nature. Red is his best colour. Warm sweaters and nuzzling and cuddling up. I always get torn between him being a hybrid of human/squirrel or just a lovely soft guy.
-Yan ! My fem nb/trans gal! They’ll kick ass with their katana, have the hots for Bim, and looove Japanese culture and stuff. Very adorable. Loves pink. 10/10 love to write.
-Technically I do have a muse for Mark, or..idea? I’m thinking about shoving it into my own oc/thing..but basically he got tortured n abused by Authy so hes not quite like the real life markimoo..just a nervous mess whose dealing with his traumas..
-Bing, Skater lad, yellow/orange eyes, sunflower vibes. Tries his best, clumsy as fuck, great for a laugh when hes not cowering under google.
-Edward iplier, Gah my doctor lad.. I have a hc that he Lost arm. In fire..or by dark n wilf. He has heterochromia too!! One cho ceye one blue one. He is a fucking nerd (Minor adhd lets be honest) He fucking loves space and science and space/science related lights. He has a bat plus with spacey wings. He likes reading, likes being clean and is quite a quiet indulger in food which has left him with a big of a softer figure. Super gentle nature..nothing like the arrogant portrayal we got in some videos.
-Angus I love this man!!! Part Aussie, part irish, a whole lot of gruff old dad with a soft spot for nice people and animals, has his own big place, next to a large ass forest. Loads of scars. Loves boots and cameo coloured clothing. A lovely guy when you get past the rough edges.
Aand onto all my ocs as of writing this (cause you name well know I be writing new ones like..all the time.)
--------------------
OC’S (My original characters!)
-Jessy, Cowboy- Choker with gold bell. Lil ears/horns. Spots. Shy but sweet. Hands and feet different colour to rest of skin. Kinda fur ish feeling rather then just straight-up skin. Pear shaped figure. Shy lad. Likes to take lots of naps, anxious easily but a big people pleaser too.
-Ailan and Keros. Moth n butterfly boi. (Literally just made up with a friend, just a random soft pair of lads tbh nothing too fleshed or spesh)
- Louie - Followed by a dark being/creature/spirit... Yet to determine what else about him, but hes got brown hair, pointed ears and looks lovely in green.
-Quinton A Hybrid of Demon and Angel otherwise called a Guardian. Quirky, Pan as shit, great dress sense. Extremely calm. Can see auras. Lovely black feathered wings. Bright blue hair. Kind smile. Works at a little coffee shop in his spare time.
-Ori Very pure angel boy, previously owned and not very well treated by a god, came crashing down to earth with no memories but his wings intact. Some help him.
-Lumi Ghost boy! Died years ago under awful circumstances..now lingers around on earth, sometimes meeting humans who happen to be able to feel or see his presence, he has the ability to make himself solid for short periods of time.
- Lucio Witchy..dragon soul something or other- Deaf.Paralyzed? In the arms??They might use alot of energy trying to hover around instead of having to use a chair..(I mean how many witches do you see with chairs??).. Although they could not have use of their arms instead, like..paralyzed from the shoulder down- they still have them but theyre effectively useless and easily sore.. (which might make magic really hard, cause theyd have to master it again without their hand gestures.)
- Eztli, Bit of a prick. Basically got cursed to have really weird blood that replished and rejuvinated too fast/too much by a witch he angered. So he turned the curse into a good thing and basically goes out offering himself as a human blood bag for vamps willing to pay in info, items, cash or uh..other services..
- Gallio Photographer, has hypocalcemia. Haven't really done much else with him tbh.
-Aomi Warlock/witch in training. Downright awful at it. Young and lives in a nice lil cottage outside of the village he was abandoned in.
- Lucas A moonstone gem perma-fusion, he kinda has SPD/DID but he doesn't, cause..hes two gems that became one but not fully. Leaving him to be a bit of a mess and not as strong as other moonstones.
- Kiyan. A little assistant android!! Created to assist, he can make portals!, He works at a post office. Hes under surveillance by the company that made him and isnt yet aware of many human customs/emotions..

- Hinto Guy made of foam slime. Very chill n laid back.
- Glowstick bubs. (Alo/aloke - Green and blue + Siro - Yellow n pink. + Mavi (Vi) Red and silver. + Roxy (Ro) - Orange and purple ) They’re a cross between glowsticks and lava lamps and its epic- asides the fact they have like.half a brain cell each. Lots of sleeping n lazign around.

Warmth, Chapter 1.
Kassius felt familiarly numb as he looked out into the infinite white death of Noveria from the relative comfort of his home. He held a tablet in his hand, though in his state of boredom, he struggled to retain even a single line of writing. His brother had a peculiar taste in stories that Kassius did not share, but out here he had little to do and even less to read, so he found himself sifting through his collection piece by piece.
He had only been on the planet for around a month, but it was a solitary confinement in this shelter. His shuttle had crashed into the mountain just behind him, killing nearly everyone on board. Few crawled out, but with damages to their suits, the temperatures set in; fifteen men, including his only surviving family, were lost to the storms. He was the only one left. For all he knew, no one was ever coming.
They’d made a random jump. It was all they could do to escape the reaper that rapidly closed in on them. They were nowhere near a relay; they were quite deep in the middle of nowhere, in fact, as they sought the remains of an Asari warship that might help turn the tides of the war. Things were fairly close to an end then. He wasn’t sure if he’d ever know the conclusion.
Food, water, shelter, and air. He was alive, thanks to whatever luck carried him to this abandoned research bunker, but he was sure that another month of this and he might start to imagine companions. Maybe he might see his brother again after all. Maybe he’d get to tell him how terrible his taste in literature was.
His silver eyes heavily lifted, glaring at the world he’d come to hate. White, white, white, white, white, white, grey, white.
Grey?
He stood up, shaking his head. It had to be a rock peaking out among the ice. The mind had a way of teasing him – sometimes he’d see shadows in the room with him, or hear someone saying his name. He closed his eyes, inhaling slowly and remembering to count to ten before he opened them.
Your name is Kassius. You are alone. There is no one out there.
He slowly looked once more. Clear as day, there was smoke rising from the valley, and lots of it. He stood quickly enough to knock over his chair, dropping the tablet.
There’s no one out there, he told himself. There’s no one out there. No one out there. You’re alone, Kass. Don’t do this to yourself.
Shut up, he replied. Shut your damned mouth.
He tripped over the chair as he rushed over to the closet, but he was quick to be back on his feet. He quickly removed one of the station’s exosuits and shimmied out of his own clothing. The sensation of the armor was odd, since the only clothing he had sported in a month was a soft, warm material.
What if it’s the Geth? Spirits, what if it’s more of those abominations?
Fighting himself, he donned a helmet, heading for the door. He had no weapons on him, but at this rate, if something was out there and ready to kill him, at least it would spare him any more time in this purgatory.
Kassius opened the door, feeling a blast of cold air that seemed to penetrate his suit, though he knew he was safe. It was far colder out there than what he was feeling. That wasn’t a campfire, it was too big – someone else had crashed down here, and the second they moved away from that fire, they would have only minutes.
His feet sank into the snow, making running a difficult task. They weren’t far, maybe less than a kilometer, but he had to maneuver his way down to the valley, which added several minutes onto his journey. The air, conditioned as it was, bit at his lungs with each inhale. As he made his way to the scene, he analyzed more of the crash.
It was a human ship, that was certain. It seemed to be an older make of an Alliance ship, but from here he could tell that much of the crew was dead. Their bodies were black as pitch, scattered along the ground in various macabre positions.
Might as well turn back. You shouldn’t have gotten your hopes up.
He hesitated, but continued forward.
Someone must be alive. I lived, didn’t I? I have to know. I have to see.
The Turian trudged against the thick layer of ice that must have once been a river, long before anyone could have written of it. The front of the ship had pierced it, leaving cracks around its point of entry. Kassius carefully walked around it, analyzing the bodies for signs of life.
“H…”
His voice was weak from retirement. He cleared his throat.
“Hello? Is anyone out there? Can anyone hear me?”
He waited.
There’s no one. Go home, kid. Get back to your book and try to actually read it this time. Krogan mythology can’t be that bad.
“Please, if you can hear me, I’m not here to hurt you! I can take you somewhere safe.”
I don’t want to be alone.
He shivered as the minutes passed, hopes decreasing along with his body heat. He lowered his head, mourning the people he didn’t know. If everyone had lived, of course, he couldn’t have done much – there wasn’t much space in his bunker, let alone food. He’d already done the math, and with the levo-synthesizer, he had around one year of supplies from when he started.
He emitted a low whine, one of many various subharmonics the Turians were capable of, and one that wasn’t often heard. Adults had too much shame to whimper in such a way, but he was barely an adult and full of woe. Now was the time to be childish and cry.
Turning his back, Kassius decided he had wasted enough time. He shook his head, throat flanging pitifully and echoing through his helmet. He trudged forward, eyes on the ground as his mind humiliated him for bearing any semblance of hope.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw movement from one of the bodies. It was subtle, but stopped him in his tracks.
It’s in your head. Keep moving.
He crept towards the body, studying it for any signs of movement. It had to be a female, judging by the shape of her form; he at least knew that of the humans. He wasn’t sure through the armor, but she appeared to be slowly breathing.
“Spirits,” he whispered, bending down and giving her a light shake on the shoulder. With no response, he deemed her unconscious and reached for the dogtags that hung from her neck. “C-… Catherine Walters, hm?”
The name rolled off of his tongue with a hard pronunciation of each syllable. Human names were far more varied than most other races’, but they were new to galactic civilization and had only unified as a species in the last two centuries. They still knew their cultures and dialects, but they knew that both would succumb to the will of the galactic community.
He lifted her up.
“Okay, Catherine. I’ve got you. Stay with me.” **** You can read the rest on my fanfiction page!

1, 4, 19 and 4 for those oc asks!!
You put 4 twice so i just went ahead and did 44 lmao
1. Your first OC ever? Ohhh boy, if we're talking very first character ( bc i didn't know the term then ) , I made up this little dog when I was 3 years old, her name was Puppy. She was a tiny pure white maltese/poodle mix, and I never drew her surprisingly but I pretended to be her whenever my sister and I played pretend if it had to do with animals or I'd toss her into our games with a random toy to act as the body since I didn't have any white dog plushies. Even back then I was a total angsty fuck when it came to backstories because she was always either abused by her owners or abandoned and living half-starved as a stray ( often in the cold rain ) and she'd be super grateful to anyone who helped her/taught her the ways of the streets. She was very playful and sweet but quick to cry when someone was mean to her and I loved her so much dude oh man, I don't think I completely stopped using her ( in the rare times I still played with my lil sister ) until around 5th grade maybe?
I'm super tempted to try and draw her now not gonna lie, in my head she basically looked like the lil maltese in the DOGZ gba game mixed with disney lady and the tramp style lmao
4. An OC you rarely talk about? I'll go with my ( very self-indulgent ) oc Xarrnacc ( pronounced Zar-nack ) . I made her up like a day after I started binging the Ju/stice Leag/ue animated series on netflix a couple years back lmao. Here is the link to her ref pics ( don't bother reading the info bc it's either old or stated below lmao )
http://pastel-popplio.tumblr.com/post/145593516169/oh-btw-guys-here-is-another-dc-oc-of-mine-but-she
http://scourgefeather.deviantart.com/art/Xarrnacc-bust-doodle-614140861
GET READY FOR AN INFO DUMP BC I NEVER GET TO TALK ABOUT OR DRAW HER BUT I THOUGHT ABOUT HER SO MUCH WHEN I MADE HER MMMM
She's a horribly shy alien babe who's a scientific genius ( especially with physics and chemistry ) and also studies Ice Magic. She worked as an engineer for the highest members of her planet in the capital city ( a lot of the planet is still entirely natural resources bc they care more about their ecosystem than we do, so the other scattered inhabited areas make up a small enough portion that they only need the one really big city for the government/royals to rule everyone else from ) , but was eventually framed by a few jealous coworkers. The Mistress ( her planet's ruler who's basically a mix of President and Queen ) had no choice but to ( reluctantly ) exile her from the planet for the severe crime/rule infraction.
She was sent to Earth to die in the arctic ( since not only was it rumored to be inhospitable, but her planet didn't know Earth had really moved past the ice age since it's so far away. They pretty much spun a wheel of dangerous planet names and launched her there ) , but ended up meeting an old man in the cold barren area who was charged with the noble duty of protecting a hidden library of old spellbooks. She befriended him and lived/with worked under him as a fellow magic user until he was killed while on a trip. She didn't know of his death until a couple days after he'd left, when a few members of the League tracked down the library while investigating an unrelated magic incident and she attacked them ( in an attempt to defend the books from strange intruders ) . Once they managed to convince her they weren't thieves and explained they'd found his murdered body in the snow a half-hour's trek from the library, she ended up joining them on what was supposed to be a one time mission to assist with the magic part.
She was inducted into the League permanently after that and wanted to learn more about Earth, so she started living in the space station headquarters with Mart/ian Man/hunter, who sometimes helps teach her written english ( she learned the verbal language earlier when the old man dug up a spellbook that allowed the two of them to communicate by swapping memories ) . She's pretty close to The Fla/sh since he's the friendliest, and he usually is the one who forces her out of space hiding to experience the magic of actual society, fast food diners, and hitting on the ladies ( the latter of which has her a nervous wreck plz stop dragging her on spontaneous blind double dates ) . She admires WW a lot for her confidence and physical fighting skills, and sometimes they have talks or training sessions together. She lowkey has a crush on Haw/kgirl but she's taken and also intimidating af so Xarrnacc knows she's kinda screwed there oops. Super/man is okay but usually too busy being a leader with a double life to interact with her outside of missions, she's terrified of ol' Bats he's very intimidating. Doesn't really feel one way or the other about Gr/een Lante/rn, she doesn't talk to him much so they don't know each other really.
She adores books and can sometimes spend hours in big libraries if she has another league member to accompany her and help translate. She's not huge on public parks, if only because she had a very bad experience once when The F/lash took her and she mistook a squirrel as acceptable food and thought hunting was allowed and tried to eat one in front of a screaming child.
Fun fact: her species is deathly allergic to chocolate, something she found out the hard way after The Flas/h offered her a bite of his Hershey bar and had her in the League ER for like 2 weeks RIP
I have more but this is long enough jfc
19. Introduce an OC that means a lot to you ( and explain why ) . This boi Darren right here means a ton to me!
https://toyhou.se/606692.darren
Not only is he a pretty personal character bc of certain personality aspects ( hello shyness/social anxiety venting lmao ) or the fact that he was one of my main sort of daydreaming ocs ( aka a character that I would shove into different show universes and think about how he'd interact with everyone when I was bored ) before I finally found him his home, but he was the very first rp character I ever made! Joining the group he was in ( when I was a smol ms paint artist ) helped me learn a ton about everything from rping itself to cat anatomy to writing to character development and all kinds of stuff inbetween, and I made so many friends because of it, even one of my best, who is actually the founder of the group! I never would be near where I am today without that group, or this adorable character that I loved to bits and motivated me to draw him 24/7 lmao.
Plus he has cool lightning powers and a pet puffin, and the silver tabby w/blue eyes is my favourite cat design ever probably
44. Something you like about your ocs in general? The amount of detail I give them, be it personality, backstory or just little goofy facts! I've gotten a lot of compliments on the depth of my chars before, and I really do try to make them all unique from each other!Thank you so much for asking these bby! 💜

Sunset
A hiss.
A beep.
Then a pause.
A long pause.
Another beep.
A pause.
A beep.
Then...
A thud.
A rumbling wave of heat and noise, unseen frequencies and immeasurable shifting.
Slowly, I came to be. Granted, I wasn't “not” before, per se, just not awake. Not conscious. But then I was. A long sleep in cryo, my body held in stasis while my ship traversed The Slip, a realm of nearly unquantifiable shifting physics and spaces. Once it had been discovered it furthered the exploration of space. The Slip was, as of yet, impossible to map internally in any sort of “normal” way. The entry and exit points could be, counter-intuitively, mapped very precisely.
This is what allowed me, and hundreds of thousands of other Cartographers to thread our way through a universe formerly unseen. As my body slowly stirred, the subtle vibrations of my ship, normally unnoticeable, came into focus. I laid there, my body in the cryo bed, and just felt my ship. Her purring, subtle voice, all around me. She's kept me alive, and I, her.
Pressing a button down by my side, I braced my eyes for the outside world. The lights were dimmed – after months of zero light and zero use, my eyes would be very sensitive. The light would slowly increase over the next 4 or so hours, and as it did I'd slowly be able to see more and more clearly.
I tried to sit up, eager to get started on my work, but it was slow-going. Electro-stimulation electrodes placed around my body slowly worked some of my muscles, keeping them at least somewhat in shape while I was in stasis. Once I finally managed to sit up, I smiled. The work was soon to come.
I loved my work. It took me a few months to train myself just to call it “work”. Exploration, science, spaceflight, reports and paperwork and data! Since I was a small child, living on the space station Centralis. It was a large station designed for scientific research, and it was where I discovered the joys of science. Being trapped in what is basically a box in space is why I think I found my love for exploration. There's only so many places you can explore in a space station, but an infinite number of planets out in the universe. I wanted to leave my mark on history, and I could do it by traveling and researching.
And travel I did. 16 planets, registered to my name, scattered throughout space. 12 rich in resources, 3 barren, and 1 ice world. The ice planet was a mixture of both water and carbon dioxide ices, but it was baked with deadly radiation; there wasn't going to be any life there. A large gas giant and an unstable star filled the system with radiation belts, fluctuating constantly. As I learned later, some of the belts were millions of degrees.
But! Of those 16 Registered Planets, not a single one was viable for terraforming. Humans would not be living on them in any other way than small, isolated outposts. They'd also never be able to leave space suits or habitats. It was my goal, and every Cartographer out there, to find a planet to terraform, something out there that did, or could, support life. Terraforming was a massive undertaking, lasting dozens to hundreds of years. It was the process of changing the environment on a planet such that it could sustain a certain type of life, whether it be human or not.
As I hauled myself out of the stasis room, I heard a familiar voice. A soothing, soprano voice that would warm you right up.
“Good Morning, Captain.”
“Hello, Mara.” “I take it you slept well?”
“So well I didn't notice your terrible driving.”
As I smiled over my response, I tripped, and fell to the floor painfully. Mara was laughing, she'd disabled the gravity generator for a split second – causing me to fall on my face. She was the eyes and ears of my ship. And also the voice. And also the brain. And frankly the whole ship was her. She was a 7th-generation Artificial Intelligence, she helped control the ship and helped me with my work. The ship was, technically speaking, her body. A series of distributed and duplicated computers within the hull were her “brain”, carefully placed to ensure maximum survival potential in the case of damage.
“So tell me, Mara, where are we? Any planets nearby?”
“Location: Cygnus AX-12-B-MV-K4. Star type: G2. At least seven planets are present. Good score.”
“Dang! What a catch, eh?”
It wasn't often that such large systems were found, so hopefully there would be at least one planet of high value.
I reached the bridge, and sat down I nmy favorite chair on the whole ship. My command chair slid forward, spinning 180 as it entered the central command station, the displays that surround it shifting downwards to wrap around me. Looking out the windows, I smiled. More science to do, more adventure. The windows weren't actually glass, but high-resolution displays, much more useful than useless glass.
I pulled up the basic telemetry data, examining the estimated orbits of the seven planets in the system. I decided to name the system “Egrava” after my neighbor's dog back on my home station. She was a rambunctious and excited puppy who was always getting into trouble, and we frequently found her stuck in ventilation shafts, or in our cabinets.
“This system has quite a lot of potential, Roderick.”
“Thanks for reminding me. We need more data, of course, always the case.”
“Shall we use any more Bloodhounds?”
Bloodhounds were a type of reconnaissance drone, fired from ships by high-powered railguns. They were used to gather data from multiple points without having the ship need to visit too many locations. A ship could only carry so many, so they were a precious commodity.
“But of course, this is a promising system.”
On the outside of the ship, four armored panels split apart, and from within came pairs of rails. At the inside ends were the Bloodhounds, one on each railgun. Small adjustments on the rails directed the drones, and an electric charge shunted through the rails caused the drones to be shot at high speed from the ship.
“Bloodhounds are on the trail.”
Light.
Wind.
Distances untraveled.
Heights.
Depths.
Riches untold.
Vast cities.
Then…
A day later, the first Bloodhound started sending back telemetry data. While it was gone, I compiled my initial scientific reports, began my personal logs, and did a general rundown of my ship, The Teravaeus. Engines were fine, maneuvering capability was 100%, sub-light drives were in pristine order and the Slipstream drive appeared to be in perfect condition.
My communications system, both the local system and the connection back to the Cartographer's home station, “Geographia”. The link back home was an interesting one. Data could be sent back before a Cartographer returned home, although it was a very slow process. It was above even my scientific knowledge, but it was based on a series of comm relays scattered throughout space and The Slip, broadcasting to each other using a brand new form of transmitters. The signal was about 80% reliable, but the time it took to make it back to Geographia was somewhat random and hard to predict. You could be certain your message would reach home, but not when it would get there. As a result, the Ansible, as it was known (despite not communicating instantaneously), was commonly only used for sending back small messages to let the Cartographer's guild know one was still alive, or to request rescue. I'd never needed rescuing, but there's always a first time.
Life support was fine as well, and Mara was in good shape. One of her smaller and less important processing centers was operating somewhat slower, but it wasn't much of a problem since she had dozens of other centers that were fine. I asked her how she was doing, and she merely replied “nominal”. I'd hoped everything was okay with her, sometimes it's hard to understand AIs, even if they were modeled after humans. Some things got lost in translation.
The maintenance had taken most of the “day”, so it wasn't until the next day that I started examining the results of our probes. Three gas giants, 2 rocky worlds, 1 probable ice planet, and...happy day! A likely terran world! This might be the time I finally discover an earth-like planet of my very own! I almost jumped out of my seat I was so excited.
“Mara! Set a course for the terran planet! I'll be in the garage, prepping the rover.”
“Certainly, sir.”
The Teravaeus was equipped with a small garage that could slide down from the ship, allowing the rover to drive out. This allowed the ship to stay above the ground on its stilt-like landing gears, keeping it hopefully out of danger. It also meant that anything trying to get into the ship would face the challenge of trying to get 15 feet into the air and then into an armored space ship.
As I ran yet more tests, this time on the rover, I struggled to contain my excitement. With each twist of my wrench, my mood grew. I was sort of rushing headlong into things, normally I'd wait longer before going to touch down on a planet, but this was my first time. A bit of eagerness is allowed.
“Sir, destination set. We're on course, all that's left is to wait.”
“Love ya, Mara. Are you as excited as I am?”
“Of course I am. Do you think I fly thousands of light years through the strangeness of The Slip just because?”
“Technically speaking you do that because I tell you to.”
“Smartass. But yes, I am very excited. This is a first for me too you know.” “Yeah, yeah.”
With the rover tuned up, I ran back to the cockpit, taking the controls of the ship in my hands and steering the ship down towards the planet. My heartbeat was faster than I'd like, but I didn't care, I was gonna make the most of this trip. The ship started to rumble, shake, and roar as it punched through the planet's atmosphere. Blazing plasma, around 1,650 degrees Celcius, formed on the tip and underside of the Teravaeus as it hit the planet's atmosphere going about 38,000 kilometers per hour. The molecules in the air slammed into the ship, generating heat. While the impact of a few molecules wouldn't do anything to the ship, the amount of air you go through during reentry is huge. Thus, the plasma cone around your ship!
A few minutes later though, the ship had bled off enough velocity that there was no more plasma and it could transition to normal atmospheric flight. I gazed out through the displays down to the planet. Trees! Water! Thing I hadn't seen for a long time, even longer if you considered the months I'd spent in stasis. Clouds floated over oceans and forests, mountains lie covered in snow. This was a perfect world for the history book, and it was gonna have my name on it!
As I flew, high in the sky, Mara spoke up.
“Sir, take a look at those mountains. Do they look unusual to you?”
I followed her advice, and looked down. They seemed like normal mountains, until I looked at the surrounding landscape. The mountains looked normal, but then I noticed that they were at an intersection. Three massive circles were faintly visible in the landscape. Craters. The mountains were caused by the overlap of three craters.
“Those are...craters. What do you think from?”
“I'm not sure, but, there are more craters visible in different wavelengths. Whatever happened here hit this planet hard.” I felt a knot in my throat.
“There's not any meteors headed our way, are there?”
“No sir, nothing at all. Besides, the life here could not have thrived if these craters were recent. We should continue to observe the planet from up here.”
She was right, and I calmed down a little. A few hours of flying later, though, we discovered what we thought were ruins. Flying further down for a look, I put us into an “orbit” so to speak, and we circled the location. Mara's powerful sensors continued to beam the site, gathering as much data as we could before landing.
Worry.
Despair.
Commotion.
Blinding flashes.
Flash upon flash upon flash.
Walls of heat.
Life smashed, irradiated, and torn apart.
Matter replaced by energy.
Clouds, storms, winds, thick as solid rock.
A crushing shadow, strangling the world.
Darkness.
Death.
Genocide.
We landed around 40 minutes later, having gathered all the data for the location we could from the air. I donned my envirosuit, the life-protecting suit I wore when exploring planets. On top of that I wore my exoskeleton, a set of artificial muscles, pistons, and thrusters that allowed me to exert superhuman force and speed. I could jump 12 meters straight up, and leap 15 horizontally. I could lift stuff weighing up to 1,000 kilograms. And most fun, I could run 50 kilometers an hour.
I left the ship, keeping my comms connection to the ship, and to Mara, on full power. As the airlock hissed open, it was quiet. The sound of my breath, at first. In. Out.
Then I heard the wind. Quiet, and despite the (alien!) vegetation, it felt lifeless. Almost mourning. As I took the first few steps out of my ship, my laser rifle at the ready, my heard pounded inside my chest. This planet could be very important, but with all those ancient craters, it was hard to tell. It might be a deathtrap.
The ruins were in fact actual, honest-to-god ruins! Signs of intelligent alien life! I jumped for joy. I couldn't examine them myself, I didn't have the permits nor the equipment, but I did survey the surrounding area. I went on a bit of a trek. Just a couple hundred meters from Mara. I scoped out the ruins with my rifle sight.
They were definitely former structures, though I couldn't tell exactly what. A strange, nearly purple-grey color with a rough texture. They looked to be walls, consisting of a series of interlocked latticework. It would have made for an impressive sight during, say, sunset, as the light made its way through the patterns.
I would have kept walking, until a I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye. I looked up towards the sky to see a blazing fireball headed straight for me.
“Mara, get outta there!” I screamed as I turned around, my exoskeleton augmenting my muscles and spinning me around in an instant. Its muscles and pistons propelled my legs, and I took off like a bullet. Micro-thrusters scattered around its frame rocketed me forwards, and soon I was running 50 kph. I managed to disable the safety lockdown and soon was running 70kph. If I made even a single mistake and the computer couldn't fix it, I would smash into the ground, probably breaking my neck in the process. Then I'd get hit by a meteorite.
I heard the roar of Mara's thrusters kicking in, and while I couldn't turn to look, I'd hoped she was making it clear of the impact site. Trees blurred past me, becoming fuzzy shapes. Despite the incoming meteorite, I heard nothing out of the ordinary. It was going super- or hyper-sonic right now, traveling faster than the sound it made. A boom meant Mara had made it supersonic and thus stood some chance of making it out safely. I, however, stood less chance.
I leapt up entire rock walls, my suit and muscles working overtime to get as far away as I could. If there was even the smallest chance of tripping on something, I'd just jump over it, clearing 5 story buildings in a single bound. Faster, and faster. I'd never been moving faster in my life, and I hoped it would be enough.
I'd been running forever, but in reality only about one minute had passed. My whole body started to ache terribly, the human body wasn't meant to move this fast. But move it did, biology and technology working in tandem to save my life.
Trees, rocks, bushes; everything was a tiny blip in my vision, anything not critically important was swept aside by my brain. Tunnel vision started to step in, the center most portion of my vision remaining clear while the rest went hazy. I didn't care; I only needed to see straight ahead. I only needed to run forwards.
My heart was crippled with pain, not designed to handle the blood flow or stress it had succumbed to now.
I couldn't hear anything, the portion of my brain dedicated to that had been shunted to staying upright as I ran.
Darkness.
Malice.
Avarice.
Isolation.
Subjugation.
Discussion.
Consideration.
Preparation.
Annihilation.
I slowly woke up. My limbs were sluggish, barely moving at all. This must be death, or purgatory. I couldn't see past the end of my helmet, I was wrapped in an inky darkness. My heart hurt, my head was dizzy, my muscles were dust. It hurt to breath, it hurt to see. It hurt to even think.
But if this truly were the afterlife, the scientist in me couldn't let it pass me by. If I was dead, then at least I wouldn't have to deal with the meteorite; it had already killed me. I struggled to stand up. It was almost as if I was...underwater. That explains it all. I'm underwater, though I'm not sure how I got there. The last thing I remember was running, and then...well, this. I figured if I'm underwater, I might as well try to get to the surface, so I just started walking forwards.
I cleared the surface, glad to see the light again. Well, what little light I could see. Most of it was blocked by dust. The surface looked like a warzone. The sky was blocked out by dust, the air filled with burning embers and dirt-brown smoke. I looked around. I was at the edge of a lake. The blast wave must have blown me into the air, and my body skipped across the lake before sinking to the bottom. I heard a voice call out to me. Mara had survived the impact too!
“Mara, where are you?”
“I'm, uh, well I'm on the ground.”
“Are you okay?”
A pause. “Yeah. Mostly.”
“Give me a signal to follow. I'll be there soon.” “Okay captain.”
“Hey Mara, I've got a theory. I don't think those craters were accidental. They were intentional.”
“I'm starting to think the same sir.”
“I've got an idea though.”
When I finally reached Mara, I was heartbroken. The Teravaeus, and thus her body, was crumpled and mangled, buried into the ground. There wasn't much chance we'd get rescued. Her computer cores would slowly degrade and she'd fade away. I couldn't get inside the ship, and the atmosphere wasn't breathable and the vegetation was probably poisonous.
“Mara, get one of our bloodhounds to land far away. If it gets hit by a meteorite we'll know what's up.”
The coldness of space.
A silent protector.
A sudden target.
“An enemy!”
Eager eyes tracking, hands busy.
An asteroid is loaded into a gravity sling by a defense satellite.
It's loosed at the surface and the threat.
Another enemy down.
“I am protecting. I am good.”
The bloodhound touched down. A few moments later, we watched as another fireball descended. The sky flashed as it hit. Mara giggled. Her mind was going. I couldn't last much longer without food, water, or air.
“Mara?” “Yes-s-s-s?”
“We're not gonna make it back home.”
“That is reGRetabl...” Her speech centers were obviously dying.
“Can you do something for me?”
“Yes.”
I swallowed. “Can, would, you land another bloodhound here? Right next to us?”
“Do you wish it?”
I hesitated. “I do. If I'm going to die, I want to die with you, and I want us to die on our own terms. None of this fading away or starving to death. If we're going to die, we'll do it quick.”
“I...am scared. I do not wannT to fAde away-y-y...”
I patted the side of her battered and scorched hull.
“Neither do I, girl. Neither do I.”
I recorded a message, a warning. A quarantine procedure. No one could come back here until the defense system, or whatever it was, was gone. I added what little personal stuff I could; the most important thing in my life was Mara. She was stuck here too.
We called down the bloodhound. It's thin, dragonfly like body cruised through the sky before landing near us. I patted its “head” and sat down, my back against Mara. The sun was setting.
“The skkY is...pretty.”
A tear rolled down my face.
“It is,” I said, choking down tears.
“But-t-t we are toGEtherrr...”
I couldn't hold them in anymore.
“That we are, baby, that we are. Together.”
My voice sounded strange to me. I couldn't remember the last time I'd cried.
And there it was. The now-familiar blazing fireball, headed straight for us. It wouldn't be much longer before we were atomized with its impact.
“Mara?”
“Yes, RooderiCk?”
“I love you.”
A pause.
Please.
Say something.
“I l-l-love you too.”
Our last few moments together were spent watching the sunset on an alien world.

134. Sonic the Hedgehog #75
I Am the Eggman!
Writer: Karl Bollers Pencils: Steven Butler Colors: Frank Gagliardo
We have a very important question to address here at the beginning of this story. Apparently, all this time, it wasn't Robotnik who was activating the satellites and tormenting the Freedom Fighters in secret. If that's the case… who was it, then?
So! Do you remember, aaalllllll the way back during StH#19, when I said that that issue would introduce a very important character, someone who would shape the course of the entire comic? Didja forget about that? 'Cause I sure didn't! Here he is, ladies, gents, and enbies - Robo-Robotnik, AKA the alternate, roboticized version of Robotnik from another zone! Don't worry if you don't remember - he gives us a nice rundown of exactly how this all came to be, just for those of us who may have forgotten him between then and now. But first, just to make sure no one escapes or attacks before his villainous monologue is over, he encases the Freedom Fighters inside an egg-shaped energy field, which knocks Bunnie out when she tries to punch her way out.
So here's how it went down. Way back when Robo-Robotnik was taken back to his own zone after his interdimensional defeat, his consciousness was stranded aboard a space station in orbit of his own version of Mobius. Then, as chronicled in StH#22, Robotnik Prime ended up aboard the same station when he was thrown out of his own dimension, and gave Robo-Robotnik just the pep talk he needed to get back to hunting down his enemies and taking over the world. However, what we didn't know until now is that at the moment Robo-Robotnik sent Robotnik Prime back to his own world, he tapped into his memories, learning of the scattering of the Giant Borg suit's pieces across all dimensions. Yep, that makes him the mastermind behind the Crossover Chaos plot as well!
I just have to stop everything for a moment to go over what Robo-Robotnik said up there again. He straight up nuked Mobotropolis and killed everyone within. If you'll remember in StH#22, the Sonic and Sally of his zone had already grown up, gotten married and had two kids at this point. Their world followed basically the same general path laid out in the Sonic in Your Face! special - everyone had grown up, the world was idyllic, Robotnik was thought to be long defeated, new families had been born and peace reigned. They had absolutely no idea that they weren't safe. That one day, without warning, a goddamn nuke would drop onto their beautiful city, killing everyone within. Sonic, Sally, their two kids, and everyone else they ever knew - dead. Vaporized. That is ridiculously dark.
So, as we can see, this version of Robotnik is even more terrifyingly evil than the previous one. And apparently, his whole extended gambit with the satellites and random disasters was implemented not just to test the capabilities of this world's Sonic and friends, but also, to finally lure them out of the city for the culmination of his plan…
Okay, Nate, why the hell didn't you use your badass laser-eyeglasses to fight back against the thugs who captured you before? He and Amy rush to the palace, where Geoffrey is informing King Max about the resurgence of the swatbots. The king has the cryo-tube containing the queen carried out of the palace to safety, and orders that everyone within Mobotropolis be evacuated to Knothole. However, before they can get much further, Robo-Robotnik contacts them from a screen in the med-lab, mocking the king and informing him of his daughter's current captivity aboard his space station. The king immediately takes a knee and offers himself in exchange for the safety of everyone on the station, which is quite a notable gesture considering how traumatized his stay in the Zone of Silence had left him, but Robo-Robotnik simply laughs at him as at that moment more swatbots - or shadow-bots, as he calls them - burst into the room demanding their surrender for roboticization.
The more we see of Elias, the more I like him. Back up in the station, Sonic insists that they have to get free to help the Robians, but Robo-Robotnik only mocks him some more, and brings forward none other than Uncle Chuck, Muttski, and Sonic's mom and dad to enrage him further. Sonic begins flinging himself against the energy field trapping them, which only injures him every time he does it, despite Sally begging him to stop.
Within the city, Geoffrey and the other members of the Secret Service focus on rescuing civilians from the shadow-bots' attack. Valdez stays behind to cover their retreat as they rescue Rosie and the children she's looking after, and despite Geoffrey trying to go back for him, Hershey insists that "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one," drawing a pretty bizarre parallel between her and Mr. Spock. Up in the station, the energy field trapping the Freedom Fighters suddenly disappears, and they turn around in shock to see who released them…
Snively insists that he needs them to be able to escape this station, and Sally agrees to bring him along. She uses Nicole to order their space shuttle to dock with the station (seems weird that that wasn't their plan from the beginning, rather than exiting the shuttle and entering the station through a damn trash chute) before setting an explosive charge to blow the place in five minutes. Sonic pulls out a power ring that Nate gave him before they left the planet's surface, saying he's going to go find his family before they leave. Sally tries to insist he shouldn't go, since Snively already mentioned Robo-Robotnik was loading the Robians onto a transport back to Mobius, but Sonic heads out anyway. Come on Sally, you should realize at this point that once Sonic has his mind made up about something he wants to do, literally nothing, not even you, can change his mind. He speeds through the corridors, soon finding Robo-Robotnik loading the last of the Robians onto the shuttle, including his family. The door shuts, and Sonic attacks Robo-Robotnik, thinking that at least his family will be safe when this place explodes. However, as Robo-Robotnik pins him to the ground, a pair of voices startle them out of their fight.
Noteworthy for being the third panel in which Sonic visibly cries, which if you'll remember is something that Sega put strict limits on in the comic later on. Been a while since we've seen that, and it's the first time it hasn't happened in a somewhat silly scenario. He races back to the shuttle with his parents in tow, and they make their escape just before the place blows. Sonic asks how his parents maintained their free will, and they explain that they were in Knothole just hours ago when every Robian suddenly turned and began to mindlessly file out of the place. Their wedding bands made out of power rings began to glow, protecting them from being affected by Robo-Robotnik's bug, but they followed anyway, playing along as though they were also being controlled and hoping to find out where everyone was going. As they fly back to the planet, safe for this brief moment, dusk falls over Mobo- uh, I mean, I guess we have to start calling it Robotropolis again. And underneath the city…
I really can’t express how funny this page is to me. I mean, can you imagine if Robo-Robotnik transferred his consciousness into the one in the middle, and was just going around looking like a gay 80's biker dude for the rest of the comic? Regardless, this is actually a good way for the comic to justify redesigning Robotnik into his more modern Eggman style. He laughs to himself that an explosion won't be enough to do him in, especially now that he has this new body… and as a somewhat jarring conclusion to this story, Sonic and the others smile and pose happily on the final page as though nothing devastating has happened, promising to us that if we liked these last 75 issues then the next 75 will be even more exciting. I suppose this is actually somewhat noteworthy however, as from here on moving into the fourth era of the comic, the inclusion of specials and sister series abruptly taper off, leaving us with just the issues of the main comic for quite a while. Unlike the third era we're leaving behind, where over half the content came from issues of KtE and Super Specials, the fourth era consists almost entirely of the main comic. But for now, I suppose we must say goodbye to this era of peace, as now that Eggman has risen from the ashes, the world is back to being embroiled in war…
