i won't lie i mostly buy kirby mangas for meta knight scraps but bandana dee is hands-down the mvp of manpuku pupupu fantasy, this take on his personality is so funny dkjfds

meta knight is Interesting lol, he makes his first appearance by luring kirby into the halberd to "play" with him but actually intends to steal kirby's copy abilities with a vacuum thing because he thinks it'll make him a popular hero.

he chills out after that though and is probably one of the dorkiest meta knight depictions on record. loves beetles for some reason. can't use a fishing rod. wears a fancy watch. got arrested

As a random fun fact, this manga series is one of the few pieces of Kirby media I've seen that will actually reference the anime sometimes, although no such references occur in this chapter.

Next week, I'm going to continue the Mopupu Planet Robobot saga. The next chapter focuses on King Dedede and Meta Knight, so look forward to that.

I Acquired A Copy!

...of the volume of Manpuku Pupupu Fantasy where Marx and Kirby were childhood best friends! Manpuku may not be the prettiest looking (and its obsession with Dedede’s butt is a.definite.issue) but I found myself pleasantly satisfied with this one story.

“Do you remember every promise you’ve ever made?” “You’re sure you haven’t forgotten even one?” “A promise languishing somewhere...” “...unfulfilled...?”

It had your standard zany manga Kirby gags, but Marx and Kirby's friendship was done well, never crossing over into uncomfortable weirdness. This was a nice mix of sympathetic Marx and mischief-gremlin Marx. (Especially gremlin-like, as he lived alone in the tunnels underneath Castle Dedede for 5 years waiting for Kirby!!)

Anyway, really happy to see another manga outside of Moretsu Pupupu Hour attempt to work Marx into the story at all.

I haven’t been following this manga at all, but this chapter was... such a shitpost, I couldn’t NOT share this.

manpuku fantasy:i havent read the whole thing yet but holy shit 10/10 its so funny.we exchanged art quality for comedy.the void termina chapter is the funniest shit ive ever seen i love manpuku fantasy so much.today kirby basically killed us.

sparkling pupupu world:its fully colored n rly cute, not laugh out loud funny but the character gags r all in character n the author clearly has a heavy bias for the girl characters.its the susie ft kirby manga.also zans in it n shes so skrunkly the author def gets her +50 points 10/10 i hope KATFL never gets its own volume for it bc nobody in that game deserves you sparkling pupupu world.10/10

manmaru nikki:its alright.no rly its Fine its just not that funny most of the time but Its Fine its a nice blank mind reading n has its chapters.honestly the biggest pro i can give it is the mage sisters r properly portrayed as a trio instead of that annoying thing a lot of outside KSA material does they split the cult into "fran n berge" n "zan n hyness" duos.also zan nearly dies the second shes introduced.twice.also hyness explodes violently in a chapter rly its not particularly funny or even has the best art for some characters (the mages n susie.listen galz whenever youre ready you can make a facial expression thats not blank staring ok? take your time) but the cults chapters r good.they let the mages decorate a xmas tree once :) 7/10

maybe i should start rating kirby mangas (i think manga is already plural but everyone says it w s so ??) as i read them.for enrichment

CoroCoro Comic's "Kirby" Manga Series Reaches Milestone of 10 Million Copies

As with the release of the first volume of the ongoing "Hoshi no Kirby ~Manpuku PuPuPu Fantasy~" by Ibuki Takeuchi today on October 27, Shogakukan's kids manga magazine CoroCoro Comic confirmed that its manga adaptation series based on HAL Laboratory and Nintendo's Hoshi no Kirby/Kirby game series has surpassed ten million copies printed in Japan. 

  The action game series launched in April 1992 with its first game Hoshi no Kirby/Kirby's Dream Land for the Game Boy. Since then, more than 10 games have been released for various platforms, including Family Computer, Super Famicon, NINTENDO64, Game Boy Advance, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS. Meanwhile, many manga adaptations drawn by over 20 artists have been published mainly in kids magazines. The first serialized manga in CoroCoro Comic was "Hoshi no Kirby ~DeDeDe de PuPuPu na Monogatari" by Hirokazu Hikawa, which ran from 1994 to 2006 and released 25 tankobon volumes.

As soon as I saw that the latest Kirby Manpuku Fantasy manga was about Magolor, I immediately bought it and translated some chapters! I already shared some but only discord, so I thought why not share them here too ^^ I only translated three chapters so far, but I'm definetly going to translate all of them (eventually).
