Sometimes the Ef 👆🏼👆🏼does exceptional work, which even the hired professionals do not and cannot do .. pity ..
But my love and gratitude to dedicated Ef that work unconditionally and make life easier for me .. an incorrect date , a wrong typo , a spelling error , wrong numbering .. all so efficiently informing me of my error ..
My gratitude to all ..
The visit to the gym and the physio and the yoga was done in time .. but later in the day just felt like repeating it without any particular reason , and so did two visits ..
Maybe two is good .. perhaps the better for the upkeep of the body ..
One comes across so many ideas and informations of how one can keep their body healthy, on the net .. and one wonders if they should be practised or not ..
The medical professionals raise their eyebrows .. in surprise , and at times with a look of warning .. so one tends to ignore the information on the net , or rather the Insta .. but some of them are really quite useful ..
I wait for the morn and the GOJ and the meeting of the familiar Ef and the affection that is given to me .. it is a feeling of such immense proportion that at times it is difficult to put it in words ..
Time and age have a time .. and the time resonates with change .. many that you remember when you were with them earlier, somehow remain in the image for you , until suddenly you discover how time has taken its time to bring change to them .. the heart and the mind remains the same .. just that the physiognomy alters ..
We convey and inform now, more than we ever did .. we connect more now than we ever did .. and the joy of reminisce is overbearing .. for we have the ability to keep records of the entire proceedings when we met and where and what we said or expressed ..
Oh what a wonderful World we live in .. and our next generation shall perhaps be expressing that from another Planet ..
Space has a fascination among the young, more than we ever thought of .. for us it was a given .. for them it is a question mark .. and rightfully though .. the 6 or 7 year old has a fascination to discover all that in their spare time ..
We were more keen on knowing when we would get free from class to be able to play marbles or 'gulli danda' ..
The scriptures and the mythology was learnt by us through narration .. narration of the elders ..
The knowledge of similar is now a penchant among the youth .. the net the desire for greater know is a habit .. one that is lauded by the elders .. and may they flourish and excel ..
My consideration for your good times .. and love

Fashion designers: Anamika Khanna, Manish Arora, Zubair Kirmani, Gaurav Gupta, Prashant Verma, Drashta Sarvaya, Cue by Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Ashish N Soni, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, My Village / Rimzim Dadu, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Varun Bahl, Kavita Bhartia, Namrata Joshipura, Nachiket Barve, Shantanu Goenka, Ranna Gill, Nimita Rathod, Shantanu & Nikhil, Anuj Sharma, Swapnil Shinde, Small Shop.

[ad_1] New Delhi: The Delhi government has revealed that over ₹5,000 crore was collected in taxes from liquor sales in the financial year 2024-25, while revenue from milk and milk products stood at just ₹210 crore. The figures, provided in response to a question by BJP MLA Abhay Verma in the Delhi Assembly, highlight the stark contrast in tax earnings from alcohol and essential commodities. According to government data, ₹5,068.92 crore was collected from excise duty and VAT on liquor sales till February, whereas ₹209.9 crore came from GST on milk and milk products. The figures come at a time when the BJP continues to target the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the alleged liquor policy scam, which led to the arrest of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and ex-Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The scandal is seen as a key factor in AAP’s defeat in the recent Delhi Assembly elections. The new BJP-led government under CM Rekha Gupta reported that liquor tax revenue stood at ₹5,164 crore in 2023-24, ₹5,547 crore in 2022-23, and ₹5,487 crore in 2021-22. The AAP government’s new liquor policy, implemented between November 2021 and August 2022, allowed only private vendors to sell alcohol. However, the policy was scrapped in September 2022, reinstating government-run liquor stores. AAP had defended its liquor policy, arguing that it was designed to curb black marketing and boost revenue. However, the Delhi Chief Secretary later flagged alleged violations. Data also shows that Delhi consumed 21.27 crore litres of alcohol in 2023-24—averaging 5.82 lakh litres per day—compared to 25.84 crore litres in 2022-23. Milk tax collections have also seen a decline, with revenue dropping from ₹365 crore in 2022-23 to ₹300 crore in 2023-24, and further down to ₹210 crore in 2024-25. The figures underline the state’s heavy dependence on liquor tax revenue. Her husband, businessman Manish Gupta, expressed his excitement and pledged full support for his wife. Meanwhile, her mother-in-law, Meera Gupta, distributed sweets and stated confidently that Rekha Gupta would accomplish what the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) could not.
Political Journey and Experience
Rekha Gupta’s political career spans decades. She began as a student leader at Daulat Ram College in 1993, becoming the general secretary of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) in 1995 and its president in 1996. Her affiliation with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), laid the foundation for her political career.
In 2002, Rekha Gupta joined the BJP and steadily climbed the ranks. She served as the secretary of the BJP’s youth wing in Delhi and later as its national secretary. She has also held positions such as general secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha, national vice-chairperson of BJP Mahila Morcha, and a member of the BJP National Executive.
Electoral Success and Challenges
Gupta’s political journey has had its highs and lows. She first entered electoral politics in 2007, winning the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections from North Pitampura. She served in key positions within the MCD, including vice-chairperson of the standing committee and chairperson of the education department in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
However, her attempts to enter the Delhi Assembly were initially unsuccessful. She lost twice to AAP’s Bandana Kumari in 2015 and 2020 but significantly reduced the margin the second time. In 2022, she won the MCD elections again and was BJP’s candidate for mayor but lost to AAP’s Shelly Oberoi. Finally, in the 2025 elections, she defeated Bandana Kumari by a massive margin of 29,595 votes, securing her place as Delhi’s CM.
Personal Life and Vision for Delhi
Born in Haryana’s Jind district, Rekha Gupta moved to Delhi as a child. She holds degrees in commerce, management, and law. She is a mother of two—her daughter is studying in Australia, and her son is pursuing engineering in Tamil Nadu.
Supporters and colleagues describe her as a bold and experienced leader who understands Delhi’s challenges. As she takes office, all eyes are on her to see how she leads the capital city to new heights.
