In light of the worm incident in Plainview, Manesy, thrill-seeking scalpers in search of a quick buck have flocked to the town and have begun rummaging through every nook and cranny in hopes of finding any memorabilia worthy of pawning off to the highest bidder.

One of these would-be sellers found a series of posters roughly outside the proximity of the Cavehollow tunnels and listed them up on an auction site, noting in the description that they “smelled faintly of gunpowder, rubber, and car fumes”.

The listing went unnoticed by the larger internet - the fact that the posters were only up for a few minutes before being taken down by the demand of a mysterious third party almost certainly having something to do with it - but the interesting part is that ever since the items were removed from the auction site, the seller has reportedly gone missing.

Much like the posters, the seller themself has gone under the radar.

There are some archives of these posters, as there are with most lost content on the World Wide Web, but they never stay up on hosting sites for long.

Την Παρασκευή αποδείχτηκε και με αποδείξεις ότι η “ΟΝΙΡΑΜΑ” είναι σε τεράστια πτώση. Φαίνεται πώς οι προσωπικές επιλογές του Μαραντίνη έχουν κάνει ζημιά και στην δουλειά του. Put shortly, you’ve been wheeled out to the so-called ‘best town in the country’ - on a call from none other than the mayor herself. Like many times before, she didn’t give you any deets - only that you should come to her residency for the full picture.

A long drive through shrubbery and tall pine and down through a clearing brings you zooming past the town’s greeting sign.

“Welcome to Plainview,” it reads.

Fotini and Marena Manesi are serious about preserving their heritage. The twin sisters have turned their family home, into the Skiathos House museum.

The sisters have dedicated a great deal of both time and resources as well as having the support of the extended family to preserve the family’s heirlooms that date back to the 19th century in Skiathos House museum.  The twins spoke to the Greek language news outlet Athens Voice recently about their efforts.

Twins Raised In Mansion Now Skiathos House Museum The Manesi sisters, born and raised in the mansion, want to share its history with the world.  Skiathos House museum offers a window into life on the island during the last century, highlighting its cultural heritage. Στα πλαίσια του Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών και Επιδαύρου 2019                              Στο πλαίσιο της αυξανόμενης συντηρητικοποίησης ��ης ελληνικής κοινωνίας που θέτει στο περιθώριο κάθε έκφανση της διαφορετικότητας (έμφυλης, φυλετικής, σεξουαλικής, κ.ά.), η ανάγκη του πολυφωνικού εγχειρήματος Αφροδίτη* γίνεται πιο επιτακτική από ποτέ. Το Αφροδίτη* επιχειρεί μέσα από προβολές ταινιών και τη διεξαγωγή εργαστηρίων και συζητήσεων να ενισχύσει τη δράση και την ορατότητα κουίρ φεμινιστικών πρακτικών και συλλογικοτήτων, προκειμένου να ισχυροποιήσει τις φωνές απέναντι στην κουλτούρα του σεξισμού ��αι του κοινωνικού ρατσισμού.

Πιο αναλυτικά, οι προβολές ταινιών από το Κουίρ Φεστιβάλ Pembe Hayat της Άγκυρας, από τη φεμινιστική συλλογή της Cinenova στο Λονδίνο και από το Φεστιβάλ Trans*Formations του Βερολίνου, που διοργανώνεται από μια ομάδα People of Color* τρανς και άλλων ατόμων που δεν συμμορφώνονται με το φύλο τους (gender non-conforming), μας προ(σ)καλούν να συζητήσουμε, μεταξύ άλλων, για τον αντιρατσισμό και τη μετα-αποικιοκρατική συνθήκη, την επιθυμία και τη σεξουαλικότητα, καθώς και για την καλλιτεχνική και ακτιβιστική δράση κουίρ φεμινιστικών ομάδων. Τα εργαστήρια Gender Panic Inc Queer MagiK Sigil, της συλλογικότητας Gender Panic, και το Visibly invisible της Adeola Naomi Aderemi από τη συλλογικότητα Distinguished Diva εστιάζουν στις επιτελεστικές πρακτικές της φροντίδας και στον κουίρ μαγικό συμβολισμό. Τέλος, το επιτελεστικό εργαστήριο Gender troubles in (art) education συζητά την κυριαρχική ανα-παραγωγή έμφυλων στερεοτύπων εντός των θεσμικών δομών της (καλλιτεχνικής) εκπαίδευσης και διερευνά τις εμπειρίες και τις αντιστάσεις των κουίρ φεμινιστικών δημιουργικών υποκειμένων. Τέλος, η ομάδα Queering Psychoanalysis (QP) συζητά θέματα που αφορούν στην πολιτική του φύλου και τα ζητήματα κοινωνικής αντίληψης, σε μια προσπάθεια επαναξιολόγησης της ψυχαναλυτικής θεωρίας έτσι ώστε να αφορά την κουίρ κοινότητα.

As part of the Athens and Epidaurus Festival 2019                                           

Within the context of a growing conservatism of Greek society, that places each aspect of diversity (gender, race, sexuality etc.) at the margins, the Aphrodite* polyphonic project acquires an obvious impact and urgency. The Aphrodite* project, including film screenings, workshops and discussions, seeks to reinforce the action and visibility of queer feminist practices and collectives, in order to strengthen their voices against the culture of sexism and social racism.

In detail, the films by the Pembe Hayat Queer Festival in Ankara, the Cinenova feminist collection in London and the Trans*Formations Festival in Berlin, organized by trans People of Color* and other gender non-conforming people, provoke us to discuss anti-racism and post-colonialism, desire and sexuality, along with art and activist practices of queer feminist groups.The workshops Gender Panic Inc Queer MagiK Sigil, introduced by the Gender Panic Collective, and Visibly Invisible by Adeola Naomi Aderemi, founder of Distinguished Diva, focus on performative practices of care and queer magic symbolism. The feminine group Political Fatties discusses fatness as an embodied experience as well as a political identity, while the Queer(s') Talk(s) workshop approaches the poetics of (queer) language(s) and the relationship between language, affect and trans* bodies. The Slut Pride workshop critiques the culture of sexism and proposes transformative justice for processing ways of caring, self-defence and female* empowerment. Finally, the workshop Gender troubles in (art) education contests the dominant reproduction of gender stereotypes within the institutional structures of art education and explores the experiences and resistances of queer feminist creative subjects. Last but not least, the Queering Psychoanalysis group (QP) discusses issues related to the politics of gender and social perceptions in an attempt to re-evaluate psychoanalytic theory in order to make it relevant for the queer community.

Aykan Safoğlu, OFF-WHITE TULIPS, 23:47 min, 2013 Το Off-White Tulips (πρωτότυπος τίτλος Kirik Beyaz Laleler / Υπόλευκες τουλίπες) είναι ένα αφιέρωμα στον James Baldwin. Σε αυτό το πυκνό φίλμ-κείμενο, ο καλλιτέχνης συνδέει την εξορία του Baldwin στην Τουρκία με δικά του βιογραφικά στοιχεία και με μια εξερεύνηση της χώρας όπου γεννήθηκε. Aykan Safoğlu, OFF-WHITE TULIPS, 23:47 min, 2013 Off-White Tulips (orig. Kirik Beyaz Laleler) is a tribute to James Baldwin. In this dense film essay the artist links Baldwins exile in Turkey with own biographical details and an exploration of his native country. There are layers here, layers upon layers - photographs in time tracking a mother's progress towards blonde hair, a shot through a viewfinder of a photograph upon a page that has been ripped from a book, all in a film that is itself in part inspired by another film, Sedat Pakay's From Another Place. When news of the death in police custody of a prominent Black women’s activist spreads, four intersecting factions of women – the vigilante group the Women’s Army, the editors of the newspaper Socialist Youth Review, and the underground radio stations Phoenix Radio and Radio Ragazza – rise up to take action once and for all against this oppressive state. Mareike Bernien & Kerstin Schroedinger, RAINBOW’S GRAVITY, 34 min, 2014 Το Rainbow’s Gravity (H βαρύτητα του ουράνιου τόξου) είναι μια κινηματογραφική σπουδή πάνω στο Agfacolor-Neu, μιας σειράς προϊόντων έγχρωμων φιλμ που κατασκευάστηκαν από την Agfa της ναζιστικής Γερμανίας. Μέσα από τα τρία στρώματα των χρωμάτων η ταινία εισβάλει στο χρωματισμένο τοπίο διαφυγής της εποχής και αναζητά τις υλικές απαιτήσεις, τις αναστολές και τις ιδεολογικές συνέχειες της παλέτας Agfacolor. Η ταινία προσπαθεί να επαναφέρει, όχι μόνο το πώς ήταν τότε στους σκοτεινούς θαλάμους του εργοστασίου της Agfa - αλλά και πώς μπορεί να αντιμετωπίσει κανείς σήμερα αυτή την πραγματικότητα μέσα από το φίλμ, μέσα από εικόνες και κινήσεις χωρίς μια απόλυτη ή συμβιβαστική οπτική απέναντι στο παρελθόν.

Mareike Bernien & Kerstin Schroedinger, RAINBOW’S GRAVITY, 34 min, 2014  Rainbow’s Gravity is a cinematic study on the Agfacolor-Neu colour film stock made in Nazi Germany. Along its three layers of emulsion, the film digs deep into the escapist colourised landscape of this time and asks for the material requirements, retentions and ideological continuities of the Agfacolor palette. The film tries to realise, not only how it had been - in the darkrooms of the Agfa film factory - but also how it can be possible at all to face this reality today within film, in images and movements without a final or even conciliatory view of the past. Είναι ένα άφυλο ρομάντζο που εκτυλίσσεται στον κυβερνοχώρο, όπου το "εσύ" και το "εγώ" παραμένουν ανώνυμα. Είναι μια ιστορία μυστηρίου ή μια κωμωδία παρεξηγήσεων, για τον κόσμο του chatroulette και την ανατομία των φαντασιώσεών μας με πρωταγωνιστές λουλούδια και κώλους.

Karol Radziszewski, KISIELAND, 30 min, 2012 Το Kisieland είναι ένα ντοκυμαντέρ που παρουσιάζει την συνάντηση του Radziszewski με τον Ryszard Kisiel, τον άνθρωπο πίσω από το πρώτο gay-zine Filo της Ανατολικοκεντρικής Ευρώπης, που “ανακαλύπτει εκ νέου” ο σκηνοθέτης. Το φόντο την ταινίας αποτελεί το μέχρι τώρα κρυφό αρχείο του Kisiel, το οποίο αποτελείται από δεκάδες έγχρωμες διαφάνειες (slides), που τεκμηριώνουν φωτογραφήσεις που οργάνωσε ο Kisiel και οι φίλοι του σε ένα ιδιωτικό διαμέρισμα. Οι φωτογραφίες που τραβήχτηκαν το 1985 και το 1986 μπορεί να γίνουν αντιληπτές ως άμεση αντίδραση στην αντι-ομοφυλοφιλική πολωνική εκστρατεία ("Hiacynt”), κατά τη διάρκεια της οποίας η μυστική αστυνομία συγκέντρωσε πληροφορίες για τους ομοφυλόφιλους στην Πολωνία χρησιμοποιώντας τες αργότερα για εκβιασμό.

Karol Radziszewski, KISIELAND, 30 min, 2012 Kisieland is a documentary presenting Radziszewski's meeting with Ryszard Kisiel, a personality behind the first East-Central European gay-zine, Filo and "re-discovered" by the director. The backdrop of the film is Kisiel's hitherto hidden archive, consisting of dozens of color slides, documenting photo shoots organized by Kisiel and his friends in a private apartment. The photos taken in 1985 and 1986 may be considered a direct reaction to the Polish anti-gay militia campaign ("Hiacynt"), during which the Secret Police collected information about homosexuals in Poland using them later for blackmail.
