her design isn’t bad by any means, but it feels generic, and i don’t think it reflects her character well. So i tried to make something a bit more fitting!

I've frequently seen people complain that Tsumugi Wakana's magical girl costume is generic and plain, yet when taking her wish into account her costume makes a lot more sense.

Tsumugi's wish was to help Manaka Kurumi, as befitting Tsumugi's ardent desire to support Manaka and her cooking in the role of a consumer and a critic. Her weapons are a modified knife and fork, which matches with Tsumugi's love of eating good food.

Tsumugi's costume is plainer than most magical girl outfits on purpose specifically because her wish was to support someone else. Naturally her costume wouldn't be that flashy because it would defeat the purpose of her wish if she overshadowed Manaka.
