#Maleficent - Mistress of Evil aka Maleficent 2

Although I don't think this is the direction Rise of Red 2 is going towards, let's imagine the spell on the Cookbook was permanent, aka Ulyana's crew never got rid of it.
This means that Hook never became the menace of the seas nor Pan's enemy, and not even a Villain on his own, but also Harriet, Harry and CJ were never born!
Which leads to another huge absence: Mal. Because if both her parents didn't get out of the spell, they couldn't have her.
And Maleficent wouldn't have become the Mistress of all Evil, so half the foundation of the lore as we rebuilt it (reminder that the guidebook speaks explicitly of "Maleficent's takeover"!) wouldn't have happened!
Now, two main consequences:
If the Villains didn't unite under Maleficent, the Heroes wouldn't have either, hence there would be no Auradon to begin with (and also Aurora wouldn't have been cursed and all...)
The Villains did unite, but under someone else (Ursula? Evil Queen? idk), so Auradon and the Isle of the Lost were made all the same.
Judging by the finale, Auradon does exist, so the second theory is more likely.
That said, Uma was the de-facto leader of the Isle (but without Harry by her side. Perhaps Jay filled the spot?), or Evie was, since she wasn't banned. It matters little.
We know (first book) that Ben had the idea to look into the matters of the Isle of the Lost because he had dreams about Mal, who is implied to be his soulmate. No soulmate, no dream, no inspiration. Ben never tried to free the Isle kids.
Or he did, but things may have happened very differently without Mal. Uma would have been invited and her methods (and goals) would have been different. I tend to think Uma, without the added anger about Mal turning her back to the Isle, would have been able to make Ben change a few things and bring out VKs quicker. She and Evie would have become the Crown's advisors regarding the Isle matters, hence the nomination of Uma as the new Headmistress of Auradon Prep.
Now, when Red and Chloe return from their time trip, they see nothing changed but the Queen of Hearts, but maybe Auradon itself was different. Ben has no queen so far (his relationship with Audrey wouldn't have worked anyway, it's very clear from the book) or the queen is Evie? (this would be a political marriage, tho)
Or, simply, Ben isn't the High King.
Now, follow me here, it's going to be fun (I hope).
Ben didn't try to change the situation about the Isle, his first decree is about sidekicks or something. Magic folks are unhappy, they hoped things could change with a new High King, that the anti-magic laws could be lifted. They call for elections instead of letting natural succession be.
Another is chosen as High King/Queen, a more liberal one, one who likes magic and allows its use. While in contact with magicians, they expose the truth behind the Barrier and Isle of the Lost, the new ruler is horrified, but instead of inviting four random kids, they go there to see for themselves.
In this, they end up negotiating with Uma about living conditions and, as Uma is her mother's daughter, they get a contract in which they specify all the changes to be expected: freedom for the kids, new trials for Villains, policies to make the Isle more liveable, and so forth. It takes a while, but the new ruler and Uma get close enough that, by the time things settle, Uma is trusted enough to become headmistress of Auradon Prep.
Unrelated to this all, Ulyana is still out there, frozen in time, unless Ursula led the takeover specifically for her (doubtful) so she planned revenge over Bridget and also Chloe and Red, for decades.

Critics' reviews
"Once again, this tale of 'Maleficent' is more of an atmospheric and fluid exercise, more interested in the fairytale universe it inhabits than the sometimes predictable story it's telling" Rosie Knight: IGN
"[It] has some spectacle but only in service of a half-baked storyline, which makes no sense even on the surface, and does a massive disservice to the characters (…) Rating: ★½ (out of 5)" William Bibbiani: Bloody Disgusting
"Embrace the imagery and 'Mistress of Evil' almost works on its own terms, but anyone grasping for the bigger picture will find that it often evaporates under scrutiny." Eric Kohn: IndieWire
"With Maleficent no longer the villain of her own tale, this mistitled sequel reduces the character to a stylish pawn in a tacky 'Game of Thrones' ripoff." Peter Debruge: Variety
"Jolie’s magnetism (...) is why these 'Maleficent' movies work. She fits the character as well as her endless cycle of evolving costumes.(…) Rating: ★★★ (out of 4)" Brian Truitt: USA Today
"If Maleficent didn't already exist, we may have had to invent her for Angelina Jolie. (...) 'Maleficent: 'Mistress of Evil‘s script, sadly, is another story" Leah Greenblatt: Entertainment Weekly
"The weirdest “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” remake you’ve ever seen. (...) isn’t a great movie (...)
But it’s also not without its pleasures." Justin Chang: Los Angeles Times

Scientific hypotheses about Faeries based on folklore and pop culture.
1. To enable flight, much like bats and birds, faeries likely have hollow and smaller bones. This would account for the physical descriptions of faeries as being delicate. This idea is used in the fantasy TV series Carnival Row.
2. Most faeries have a hypersensitivity or severe allergy to iron which can be fatal. This could mean that if injured by iron the iron then contaminates the blood stream, causing difficulty or a slowing down in the healing process, while other fae might experience a burning sensation and reddening of the skin from merely touching iron. This lore has been used in Disney’s Gargoyles, and the Maleficent film franchise. It has its roots in Gaelic folklore as well as nordic.
3. Faeries are likely not very virile or fertile. Though there are natural births in most faery folklore they appear to be few and far between. This would account for why faeries are so (often obsessively) incline to turn humans into fae through external means such as enchanted faery food / fruit which enables a bio-chemical metamorphosis on the human and making them a faery as well. This might only be possible because human seem to be closest genetic cousin to sidhe.
4. Much like the Turritopsis dohrnii (immortal Jelly fish) faeries are likely biologically immortal. To date humans only know of only one real biologically immortal lifeform and that is a jelly fish that can revert to its Larvae stage, much like a mythological phoenix rising from the ashes and restored to youth. The Disney film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil claims that the dark fae of that lore are directly descended from the phoenix. It is possible that fae have very slowed aging but as biological immortality has been discovered as being probable within the realms of science, it is also possible that their aging halts at some point in their prime and at that point the fae may only die from violence (likely iron related.
5. Faeries likely have varying levels of psychic potential from empathy and moderate levels of telepathy, to close range telekinesis or even pyrokinesis, hydrokenesis, or transvection (self-levitation). This increases a distinct difference in the potential brain activity of the faery. Where personality and emotions might be comparable to human certain instincts and inclinations, along with abilities, might seem utterly alien to a neurotypical human being. They may even experience emotions more intensely than most human beings.
6. Faeries are emotionally and physiologically codependent on humans. The mild level of psychic potential also seems to allow the faery to sustain some energy, or power, from the beliefs or thoughts of others. If humans think of them- or better yet believe in them, this helps them to retain perpetual existence, using that belief as a fuel, more so than any physical food. The constant “feed” of psychic energy might also account for why “true names” have so much power over a faery, if the person using the true name believes in it strongly enough the result is a psychosomatic compulsion to acknowledge that belief in kind.
7. Based on popular culture (especially of the twentieth and early twenty first century) with such things as Disney films and TV shows like Once Upon a Time and toy manufacturers making dolls and figures predominantly of female faeries, if faeries are sustained by belief, than there is a very high chance the culture would be matriarchal.
8. Much like how vampires are often depicted in Eastern European folklore there is a very high chance that faeries express some form of Obsessive compulsive behavior, such as the compulsive desire to make bargains with humans.
9. Faeries might be prone to Hypoglycemia and actually require a much higher amount of carbohydrates to function properly and to feel satisfied. This could be because they require the high concentration of carbohydrates for the energy required in things such as flight. Much like human children who are still growing they are often depicted craving sweets or sweet substances such as honey on bread, biscuits, pastries, milk, cream, fruit, and other foods high in sugar. 10. Though there are plenty of stories of half-faery and half-human children in pop culture (i.e. Philo in Carnival Row or Fox in Disney’s Gargoyles) it seems more likely, based on the other traits of faerism, that faeries are a sort of entity where if you are “half” faery you are a faery, period. Much like being diabetic or a mutant in Marvel comics. You either are one or you are not, there is no true half. It’s likely the faery DNA is more prone to overriding the physiology in the womb, and “over write” the human DNA, though certain superficial traits such as eye or hair color from the human parent might remain in tact. “Faerism” just seem a more dominant trait as faeries are (based on ability alone and possible mental capabilities) more genetically advanced than human beings.
One origin story for Robin Goodfellow AKA The Puck (Yes, same character in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream) is that he was the child of Oberon born of a human and when he reached a certain age he became a faerie. As he was not born from wedlock to the faerie queen Titania, Oberon took Puck as his servant (read: slave). No one ever said faerie culture was nice.

MoM theories with my limited knowledge
So i know almost nothing about Kingdom Hearts that doesn’t revolve around Master of Masters and Luxu (outside stuff covered in these videos), but I’m going to give my thoughts because I really like them. From the way it’s set up as of 3 and maybe melody of memories, I see 3 possibilities about the final boss of Kingdom Hearts.
1. Master of Masters is the villain mastermind of everything, and he’s the final boss. It’s unlikely to me, given Darkness is literally a character and he was trying to fight against it, but he is very shady and manipulative. And this is fucking Kingdom Hearts, anything is possible. He likely either fell to darkness or was pretending the whole time in this case.
2. Master of Masters is not the bad guy, but a well-intentioned extremist. From the sound of some added scenes, he just intends to stop the fight of light versus dark (aka good vs evil), whether it’s for a moment of forever. He’s also associated with blue eyes which I’ve been told is used for characters of light, so there’s that going for him. And given the plan seems to involve Kingdom Hearts, it could easily come to a logical extreme of trying to erase darkness or choice or what have you.
If this is the case, I could see the player actually given the choice to side with him and help his extreme vision come true, or side against him a thwart it. If you side with him, someone else-possibly Sora’s friends that find issue with his plan-ends up being the final boss. If you side against him, then MoM is the final boss, but as an anti-villain and not a true evil guy.
3. Master of Masters is a red herring for the final boss and your ally against them. As I said, his plan seems to be wanting to stop the war, and he does set shit up to keep the light going in the reborn world. He can see through time, of course he’s shady. In this case, someone else would be the final boss, probably Darkness. Or maybe Maleficent-she’s been off the radar since like 2 I think, but she is the mistress of darkness and she has been snooping around. If nothing else, I could see the true final boss using her as a pawn.
#kingdom hearts#Master of Masters#wanted to get my ideas out now before they're proven wrong or i forget about the series again#maybe one day i'll buy one of those game packs squareinex always releases#maleficent

Oh GOD this is gonna be torture since my OTPs change so much. Anywayyyyy, thanks for tagging me @easilydistractedbyfanfic ;P
Tag 9 people you want to know better - literally too tired to think so whoever wants to do this
Top Three Ships (and a lil about ‘em)
1. Mad Sweeney/Laura Moon - Where would I be without my drunk not-a-leprechaun and dead wife? Sad and alone just like Laura, that’s what. Legit didn’t expect them of all things to pull me so far into AG, but here we are. I've thought about them all damn day (like today specifically) and I am so sad that we probs won’t ever get another scene with them ever again because damn that ending shot!!
2. Kylo|Ben/Rey - Ok so yeah they’ve taken over my life. It’s like post TLJ but even more now because I don’t give a fuck. Fandom made me squirrel away my love for them quickly after TLJ but now I just want them alive and happy and to forget TROS happened and write them the ending they deserve
3. Bellarke (ft. Murven) - Literally the only reasons I’m still watching this trash show. I find it doubtful Murven will kiss in the last season since John proposed to Emori (which as a multi-shipper I like Memori too but ???) BUT there’s still hope for Bellarke, aka the ship that rips my heart out year after year and stomps on it and then hands it back while looking proud.
Last Song you listened to: Stole the Show by Kygo ft Parson James
Last Movie you watched: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (still; I haven’t watched a lot of movies lately)

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗕'𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗠𝗜𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗘 𝗣𝗙𝗘𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥 & 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗡!! April, & April 29th in particular, has great significance for Catwoman in pop-culture on 2 counts. April 29th, 2020 is Michelle Pfeiffer's 62nd b'day. The talented & critically-acclaimed actress made her 1st appearance in 1979 with 65+ different roles now under her belt - including Elvira in 'Scarface' [1983], Isabeau in 'Ladyhawke' [1985], Madame de Tourvel in 'Dangerous Liaisons' [1988], Louanne Johnson in 'Dangerous Minds' [1995], Janet Van Dyne aka The Wasp in 'Ant-Man & The Wasp' [2018] & 'Avengers: Endgame' [2019] as well as Queen Ingrith in 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' [2019]. Pfeiffer has admitted that one of her favourite roles was that of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in 'Batman Returns' [1992]; clad in nothing but a black latex bodysuit & red lipstick, the sass that she brought to the character while sporting a black whip has made Catwoman a favourite of DC & Batman fans - not to mention cosplayers like @infamousbylaura [pictured]. 1st appearing in Batman No.1, published in April 1940, Catwoman was originally known as 'The Cat' & depicted as a whip-carrying Gotham City burglar with a taste for high stake thefts & an adversary to Batman. 🦇❤️🐈 Although Catwoman has historically been portrayed as a supervillain, Batman & Catwoman have worked together in achieving common goals on many occasions. Batman has had many romantic relationships with female characters over time, but while these relationships tend to be short in duration, Batman's attraction to Catwoman is present in nearly every version/medium in which the 2 characters appear together. 🐈❤️🦇 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝟲𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗯'𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗳𝗲𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿, 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟵𝘁𝗵, 𝟭𝟵𝟱𝟴. Children’s DVD Reviews and Recommendations.
The school holidays have begun! There will be days during the Easter break where the library will be closed. So if are looking for some entertainments, why not have a read of my latest reviews of new DVDs: Mary Poppins Returns and The Nutcracker and the four realms.
And some oldies but goodies, Maleficent, (which aired on TV 2 last weekend), and Despicable Me 3, (which aired on TV 3 last weekend).
But you better get your hands on these DVDs quick … before someone else does!
Enjoy!
Despicable me. 3.
They saved the best for last! Gru, the reluctant antihero of the previous films has come a long way from being a supervillian. He is married to his Anti-Villain league partner, Lucy, an involved father to Margo, Edith and Agnes and is working for the good guys bringing in the bad of the bad. However things go pear-shaped when Gru is fired from the Anti-Villain League for failing to take down the latest bad guy, Balthazar Bratt, a character completely stuck in the 80s with his music and his dance moves and armed with expanding bubble gum as his weapon of choice. But when a mysterious stranger shows up to inform Gru that he has a long-lost twin brother-a brother who desperately wishes to follow in his twin’s despicable footsteps-one former super-villain will rediscover just how good it feels to be bad. Will Gru complete his path back to the dark side?, you have to watch the film to find out.
Overall, a hilarious film! The minions are funnier than before! Agnes’ obsession with unicorns intensifies where she embarks on a quest to find a long lost legendary unicorn… only to end up with a one horned goat, (spoiler) and the showdown or “dance fight” between Gru and Balthazar Bratt, is funny and cheesy.
I rate this movie: 7/10!
The Nutcracker and the four realms.
This it The Nutcracker as you have never seen it before!
Based on the original story and ballet of The Nutcracker, Clara finds her way into a mysterious parallel world. She teams up with a soldier named Philip aka The Nutcracker in search of a key to unlock a box from her late mother. However things take a turn when it is up to Clara to brave the Fourth Realm to find the key and return harmony to the unstable world. Throughout this film, things aren’t always what they seem. You will find yourself wondering what lies is the mystery box, at times second guessing who the true heroes and villains are throughout this film and whether Clara will find what she is truly looking for.
This film is very entertaining and a fresh retelling of the original story and ballet of The Nutcracker.
I rate this movie: 7/10!
Maleficent.
This is Sleeping Beauty as you have never seen it! The bad fairy was once a good fairy.
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman called Maleficent, who had anidyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land and she is betrayed by her childhood friend, King Stefan. Bent on revenge, Maleficent places a curse upon Stefan’s newborn infant Aurora. However things take a turn while acting as an unofficial fairy godmother, Maleficent becomes fond of Aurora.
Poor Maleficent experiences conflict, similar to iconic Star Wars villain, Darth Vader, whether being trapped in the dark side is permanent or whether there is still good in her… and she will save the day.
Overall a great (alternative) retelling of the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty.
I rate this movie: 7/10.
Have a look at the trailer to the upcoming sequel: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which is scheduled to be released late October 2019.

Mary Poppins Returns.
After Mary Poppins departed London, Jane and Michael Banks grew up into loving and responsible adults. When Michael becomes a single father of three children: John, Annabel and George, (named after and is a polar opposite of George Banks), after the death of his wife, Mary Poppins revisits the Cherry Tree Lane home again to try to help Michael and his family cope and move beyond their grief. Time passes quickly for most normal mortals. Mary Poppins has never been normal. Although it’s now the 1930s, she looks exactly the same. Her message to Michael, Annabel, John, George and Ellen, the family’s housekeeper, about enjoying life and loved ones is also still the same, even during hard and uncertain times..
This film is Mary Poppins at its best! With a fresh cast, new songs and additional characters, Mary Poppins Returns is fresh story and promising sequel that also stays true to the original film.
I rate this movie: 7/10.

I hate how comments like this erase many great female villains: Most male villains are spurned by women. The villainess in Lion King 2 wanted the crown. The Evil Queen in 10th kingdom simply snapped and wanted to kill her own child. Willow went evil because her girlfriend was killed in Buffy. She eventually snapped out of it. The "Bad guy" in Wander over Yonder just liked being evil and had a song number called 'Cause I'm the bad guy." The Kindly Ones in Neil Gaiman's Sandman are the embodiment of vengeance and were invoked by a woman who thought Morpheus killed her baby son. Rita Rapulza (Power Rangers) just wanted to rule the universe. The Misfits weren't jealous of Jem's beauty in Jem and the Holograms, they just wanted to be the most famous girl punk rock band in the world. The three female vampires in Dracula just want blood and to remain immortal. Simple. Carmilla (from the vampire novel) was infatuated with a woman, Laura. The Wicked Witch of the West wanted her dead sister's shoes back... Regine Dandridge (Fright Night: Part 2 from 1988) wanted to avenge her brother. Dracula's Daughter wanted a cure for vampirism at any cost. Gerri Dandridge (Fright Night 2, 2013 version) had similar motivations as Dracula's Daughter. The Grand High witch in The Witches wanted to turn all the world's children into mice... because! Missy AKA The Mistress from Doctor Who just likes being Evil. Lady Loki - Goddess of Mischief. It's all in the title... Little Miss Warden - Beetlejuice the animated series, wanted Beetlejuice to remain in her weirdly cute prison. The Banshee - in The Real Ghostbusters she just wanted to control men with her music. Ursula: The Sea witch - Wants to add to her creepy garden, avenge her banishment, and take over the oceans from her brother (Triton is her brother in the play version.) Circe - DC comics. She likes to turn people into animals and or enslave people. It's just kind of her thing. She wants to rule and wants you as her slave. That's it. Baba Yaga - She's freakin' Baba Yaga The Witch from Hansel and Gretel - She wants to eat children. That's her thing. Fatten you up and eat you. That's it.
The girl from the ring - She was murdered by her own mother and now she kills anyone who watches her VHS tape. Annabelle - Just an evil little doll. Geillis in Outlander wanted to use black magick to change history so Scotland wouldn't be under English rule. Woman in Black - After being shut away by her own family and the death of her own child she wants to kill all the children of a local English village. The Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella - She hates Cinderella, yes, but her other motivation is to secure status for her own daughters. Jadis The White Witch - She's pretty much Narnia's Satan. Satan in Bedazzled - She's Satan... Mother Gothel in Tangled - She wanted to retain her eternal beauty and immortality from the magick in Rapunzel's hair. Claudia from Interview with the vampire - She feeds on human blood and is bitter about being an eternal child. Akasha in Queen of the damned - She thinks humanity would be better off without men and if she kills most of the world's male population there would be world peace. Think Thanos if sexist against men.
Lily in Penny Dreadful - After being brought back to life as a Frankenstein style monster Lily decided to avenge herself against men, whom she held accountable for the death of her baby child. SHe became spiteful and sadistic. The Queen of Hearts (original Alice in Wonderland) - She just loves decapitations. Maleficent (animated version, not the retelling) - She was pissed off that she didn't get a party invitation. Mab - Merlin mini-series and various Arthurian legends. - She wanted to force Great Britain into bringing back the old ways and old religions to restore belief in faeries and magick to retain her own existence through human belief in her kind. The main villainess of Vampire Diaries just didn’t want to get killed for what she was. Demona from Disney’s Gargoyles - She blamed humans for the decline of her own race because she couldn’t face her own guilt and accountability for betraying her clan so she externalized her own self-loathing into hate for human beings.
I know very few female villains that actually are evil because they are spurned by a man or are jealous of beauty. You'd pretty much have to only know female villains from maybe two faery tales to have that idea.
