the holidays had always been tough for her. oftentimes, they felt like a cruel joke - having no choice but to watch people all over the world being with their families, posting about how thankful they were, flaunting and bragging about the gift of closeness they were given. it was something that felicity never had experienced in her life, which certainly is what triggered her most recent of benders. it had been yet another night out on the town, dancing on top of tables with a copious amount of drugs and alcohol running through her system and everything around her was an absolute blur. that is, until ford came into focus, grinning down at him when she saw him sitting on the couch below her. she still didn’t know exactly what it was that they were doing, hadn’t been coherent enough in the past few times she’s seen him, but maybe being in limbo like this was better. hopping down from the table, she let herself fall into his lap, hand cupping the side of his face as she bought her forehead down against his. “hey, handsome.” she slurred out lowly, lips curling into a wide grin.

New Hollywood Hot Spot MainRo Opens, Combining Dining, Supper Club, and Entertainment

Fusion is the key word when it comes to describing the newest hot spot to hit Hollywood, MainRo. A combination restaurant and supper club, MainRo made its debut in late February, bringing Miami vibes to the Hollywood scene, combining dining, entertainment, and a theatrical concept under one roof. The space was created by Italian architect/designer Gianni Ranaulo, who hails from Miami. The cuisine is a fusion of French, Japanese, and Vietnamese, and the craft cocktails are impressive. Anton Dhouran is a young french artist who has already been signed on record labels like Dynamic Music and Jeudi Records. With this new track, he invites us on a melancholic deep house journey with oriental flavors. 

For the occasion, he has been remixed by Ruede Hagelstein, Rafael Cerato and Mainro.

Aujourd’hui, nous avons le plaisir de vous faire découvrir sur Absolute Bassline la dix-septième et prochaine release du label Family N.A.M.E. records, le label des fondateurs du fameux N.A.M.E. festival de la réfion Nord. Il s’agit d’Omeskha d’Anton Dhouran.

Agé d’une vingtaine d’années, l’artiste français compte déjà à son actifs des sorties sur les labels Dynamic Music, Jeudi Records ou encore Einmusika. Avec son nouveau morceau très deep, il nous plonge dans un voyage mélancolique aux saveurs orientales.

Mercredi dernier, le N.A.M.E. festival relançait son label FAMILY N.A.M.E avec la sortie de Sari, un morceau original de Mainro accompagné de 3 remixes des membres de la Famille.

Créé en 2005, le N.A.M.E. festival s’implante à Lille à chaque rentrée pour faire venir quelques beaux noms de la scène électronique française et internationale dans le Nord. Cette année, il aura lieu les 7, 8 et 9 octobre et les premiers noms annoncés font déjà rêver: Ellen Allien comme chaque année puisqu’elle est la marraine du festival mais aussi Âme, Stephan Bodzin, Kollektive Turmstrasse, Mind Against, Recondite, Rodhad, Maceo Plex ou encore Laurent Garnier.

Le label a donc pour vocation de réunir les artistes qui ont fait de ce festival la belle fête qu’elle est aujourd’hui, à commencer avec ce morceau de Mainro, membre de l’organisation, remixé notamment par APM001, les fondateurs. Avec Sari, Mainro nous plonge dans un univers intriguant aux basses puissantes et percussions entraînantes. La mélodie est efficace et s’infiltre en nous sans difficulté.

Avec leur remix, AMP001 entraînent le morceau originale dans des contrées plus sombres et plus mystérieuse et débute une lente introduction dans les profondeurs de la techno mélodique: rythme oppressant, trompettes graves et montée en tension grâce à un travail de percussion très précis. L’ensemble se déroule et donne à écouter une sublime construction jusqu’au point d’orgue.

Peo Watson pour sa part choisit de ralentir le rythme pour nous faire apprécier sa version retravaillée des pulsations de basses dans une ambiance

Enfin, Rafael Cerato nous plonge dans une ambiance beaucoup plus pressante et électrique à grand renforts d’arpèges.

Une très belle réussite pour la belle Famille du N.A.M.E. et une belle démonstration de la richesse de leur univers.
