So on your twitter you retweeted someone who was like, “omg Ichiban is so hot who designed him I need to thank them!!!” So who did design Ichiban?
Toshihiro Nagoshi can be accredited to creating kiryu with Daisuke Sato having been the lead art director during Y1 to Y3, so it's fair to assume either one of them (or both) are also responsible in part to creating ichiban
buuuut it's hard to pinpoint what one person created ichiban- or who's even in charge of character designs strictly lest you want to look at Yuu Honya who's credited as 'character production lead'.
at the very least, the actual team in charge of character production includes Paku Sugiura, Chihiro Arai, Daishi Kanaya, Kenichiro Kimizuka, Maiko Hagiwara, Fumiya Taketatsu, Madoka Nakamura, Akira Sugiyama, Aoi Yoshitani, Shouki Kou, Kenjiro Nara, Ryosuke Usuki, Aoi Sato, Takahiro Kato, and Yuka Yamada

   favourite colour(s): i don’t think i really have a favourite colour, per say, but i do prefer softer hues that are less glaringly bright on my eyes (hence why the theme for my multi has such a soothing colour scheme).
   favourite flavour(s): well, i do tend to really hate flavours that are bland (ie: cucumbers, pasta in tasteless soup my grandma makes, etc), so i guess flavors-wise, i really like spicy things (like some sauces you would put on chicken), foods with a creamy texture (think butter chicken or cream of mushroom soup), and anything with caramelized onions in it. seriously, i could probably eat a whole plate of cooked or fried onions, so if something tastes like onions? i’d probably enjoy it.
   favourite genre(s): I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE REFERRING TO, but when it comes to roleplay, i do prefer fluff, angst with a happy ending, and slice-of-life oriented threads, especially since most of my muses happen to be human, so its very interesting for me to delve into the daily going-ons of their lives in a more modern sense. video-games wise, though, i do tend to notice i favour horror games or jrpgs the most.
   favourite music: honestly, i mostly like EDM or music that’s fast and upbeat, but overall, my playlist really varies because i happen to enjoy a lot of things. seriously, on one hand, i’d listen to Loreen, but i’d also listen to songs by TeZATalks, NEFFEX, or bubbly j pop artists like CHIHIRO or Maiko Nakamura, so people at my workplace would randomly hear ‘Bye-Bad-Bye’ or ‘Endless Tears’ randomly playing from the speakers.
   favourite movie: maybe ‘A Silent Voice’? i honestly don’t watch a lot of movies, but i did remember it leaving a very lasting impression on me.
   favourite series: The Caligula Effect series... hands down! i also like the Trails of/Kiseki series for having the most rich, engrossing lore and interconnected world building i’ve ever seen with more than one character i’ve wanted to take on as a muse at one point, but alas, aside from Gaius Worzel, i sadly never got the chance to write more than one. i’m also fond of Fairy Fencer F and the Spirit Hunter series, because the universe, lore, and characters is also pretty interesting to me.
   last song: ‘Nobody can Hear You’ by ALIUS feat. Ariela Jacobs
   last series: uhhh...if we’re talking about series that have more than one instalment, it would have to be Soul Hackers (specifically Soul Hackers 2).
   last movie: it was probably something on netflix, but i can’t exactly remember, otl.
   currently reading: does Umineko count, considering it’s a visual novel?? it’s been rather slow going, though, because i have the attention span of a goldfish and the lets player who i’m watching tends to go on long tangents, that it’s hard for me to consistently pay attention for long enough before i’m pausing the video, otl.
   currently watching: someone’s playthrough of Umineko.
   currently working on: a headcanon post and various different open starters for my oc, because i happen to have lot of muse for her at the moment!

My relationship with Maiko. My trick with Maiko's fingerprints. Once a detective from the first division had a look at things, and questioned Maiko, and took her prints again, my improprieties would come to light.

I'm going to start calling this "Togashi Ping Pong" where it's just records of him going back and forth on his motives and reasoning for his actions. In the beginning of this line, he relates his problem with Maiko and then towards the end, the stress is more focused on himself. He does this a LOT throughout the book; where he thinks/says one thing and then the following thing out of his mouth or within his monologue directly contradicts the initial thought/statement.

and another question do you know how was the life in the karyukais outside Kyoto? during the war, and how many okiyas were forced to closed or change their bussiness, I haven seen many records and as Far as I know many places dids close or Didin't comeback for God, which is quite weird in my opinion because if the girls were and investment back then how they give up so easily?

As Myloko mentioned already, the entire Karyukai in Kyoto was shut down in 1944, so the businesses weren't allowed to operate. I don't know for every other city, but in Tokyo, only Gotanda and Hakusan were permitted to operate during that time, but these two eventually burned down due to bombing. In Fukuoka, the entire Kenban system was shut down, and after the war, only two of formerly five Kenban picked up business again. In Nagasaki, same as in Fukuoka, two of formerly six Kenban came back, which were merged in 1949. As for why many Okiya stayed closed, or people didn't come back at all. I don't know the exact reasons, but some I can imagine: - a lot of people died, those naturally couldn't come back - people were more busy with surviving every day, so didn't have money to spend on entertainment (see Sayo Masuda's book) - Kiharu Nakamura mentions she was pressured by police and military to give them information about her (international) customers, which ultimately led to her retirement - if your city was affected by bombing, and your Okiya was destroyed you have now lost your place to live, the expensive wardrobe is ruined, and you don't have the funds to restart all over again, you likely would also not pick up business again - some city's economy declined heavily after the war, so less demand for Ozashiki (for example Nagasaki) - Maiko are an ongoing investment (for example lessons), but also a source of income (Ozashiki), so if there is less demand of Ozashiki, there is also less demand for Maiko. The Nagasaki Kenban ceased to train Maiko in 1952 I hope this answers your question! Until next time :)

Honestly kind of blanking on that since I came across the image again because my memory is horrible but I think it's Maiko Haaaan!!! Like 90% sure I remember that outfit and that aspect of the plot. Very easy to find though luckily!
It is worth a watch regardless because
It slaps :) Very fun wild time sort of in the vein of Play in Hell and The Mole Song, if you end up liking that
It's probably in the same vein as The Mole Song because it's the same writer, Kankuro Kudo
Kudo's work is hugely influential for Yokoyama and RGGS, especially Tiger and Dragon (which I also highly recommend the first episode of at the very least, it was first released as a movie and I'm still inclined to say it's the best episode of the show. No Tsutsumi this time but the protagonist is the perfect mix of Kiryu and Ichiban and the main "yakuza family" dynamic is sort of reminiscent of the Arakawa Family)
Ummm uhhh Kudo wrote also Ping Pong which was Shido Nakamura's breakout role
I JUST found a copy of the movie online, and yeah the summary absolutely sounds like something up my alley so I'll be stoked to watch it when I can !

Around The Round Well’s Frame in Five Locations This one is purely based on speculation, but it appears as though this scene will have something to do with characters who fall through a well into a different world, kinda like with what happened in Inu Yasha. The title of the scene itself comes from The Song of Iroha, which is one of the oldest Buddhist poems in Japan and is a source of national pride. Enso Rokuon (演奏録音) - Musical Accompaniment These are the people who will be performing the jikata during Part 1. Once the dance is over they will continue to perform for a few minutes to allow for scene changes. Part 2: Adesugata Shinmiyo Matsuri Shichikei (艶姿祝新御代祭七景) - Festival of Alluring Figures To Celebrate The New Era in Seven Scenes The second half of the odori is always comprised of a number of smaller scenes, usually six or seven, with their own individual stories and participants. It’s not unusual to have two scenes that contain the same dancers back to back; this is done so that others may perform costume changes. Scene 1: Shinmiyo Matsuri (新御代祭) - Festival To Celebrate The New Era This scene hearkens back to the Edo Period and to the acrobatics of fire fighters. Since the fire fighters needed to be able to climb ladders and such quickly these techniques soon developed into their own style of performance that they would show off to the public during festivals and compete against other fire fighting squads, akin to an acrobatics or dance competition! Scene 2: Shakkyo (石橋) - Stone Bridge Continuing the festival theme, this dance tells the tale of two lions who chase butterflies along a stone bridge. It doesn’t appear as though the performers will be dressed as lions, but will rather be performing this piece as they usually would. Scene 3: Daimonji (大文字) Just from looking at the title it seems as though this will be a dance that focuses on the famous bonfires that are lit on the side of the Daimonji mountain in the summer. Scene 4: Ikkyū (一休) Ikkyū was a monk and poet during the Edo Period who was said to have many fantastical adventures. From the titles of the characters involved it looks like it will be quite an interesting act! Scene 5: Hanjo (班女) Hanjo is a Noh play by Zeami, one of the founders of Noh Theatre. This scene will likely be a short version of that play. Scene 6: Haja No Tsurugi (破邪の剱) - The Sword That Crushes Evil To be honest I have no idea what this scene is about, but just from the title it sounds pretty awesome! This title can also be translated as “The Curse Breaking Sword.” Scene 7: Finale (フィナーレ) The final scene each year. All participants who performed on stage that day come together for one final dance among the wisteria decorations.
