I’m just gonna talk insanely. Okay? I think whatever went down with the Eye of Magnus because the game doesn’t really elaborate about what it is or why Ancano got turbo weird about it is that I think it was more or less the blueprints of existence, as in, how Magnus literally made the world and probably like the inner workings of magicka and how to use it and whatever. you know how people describe eldritch knowledge with the ant metaphor? I feel something like that happened to Ancano, like I don’t think he went insane or anything Completely, rather he just like comprehended everything about magic and the construction of Mundus and then he just. Comes back. Maybe retains some knowledge and thus the idea of unmaking the world or whatever. I like to imagine he gets fixated on comprehending what he saw in there because it has to be suuuper valuable and powerful and he has to know. Kate Bush suspended in gaffs moment

also I like to imagine the Eye of Magnus attunes to the user so like ofc the insane altmer supremacist thalmor agent would get the exact knowledge that would unmake the world or whatever. Idk, this one is just pure insanity but it would be cool to me. So Ancano wants the knowledge and we all know what happens. I like to imagine the psijics just like threw the eye somewhere and went like Sad! Well there’s other things.
