Mwahahahaha my first real fic and of course it has to be Tsukasa angst and contain mafukasa drama.

(Note: If you want context for the scene attached read the tags)

I'm clearly overcompensating for the lack of Tsukasa angst in canon but leave me be okay. SEGA neglects Tsukasa like his parents. I can do what I want. And of course, I'm a sucker for happy endings. I won't nake it end on horrible note.

And I'll try to make it good quality I promise. English isn't my first language [cry] but I'm most comfortable with it and people have told me I'm pretty fluent so hopefully it won't be full of shit...

(Hopefully I've also grown past my wattpad fanfic writer tendencies (I love people on wattpad but a lot of fics there that features x reader would just copy and paste the script, add a bit of description, rewrite tiny bits (aka write the characters fall in love at first sight), and leave it like that. (Or maybe that's twst/kny/mha exclusive... I don't know.) (Granted I do still have some scenes like that because it is a "rewrite" of the main story, but I won't copy n paste the entire thing I swear) Don't get me wrong I still love those fics, they have their charm, but I know I shouldn't be that repetitive.). I still have them, and I'm trying to shake them off...)

I WILL SAY THO. I've been seeing how some of these characters interact with ppl outside the group more lately and Emu and Mafuyu are especially adorable 2 me. I think they have some sorta undefined qp energy. Maybe Kanade and,,, Hinome?? The,, the side ponytail girl Kanade made candles with during that one event. They also have some sorta sweet dynamic I think.

But mainly the N25 poly is my fave <3

I was talking to my cousin recently about the SEKAIs and how it's interesting that Tsukasa and Mafuyu created them on their own while the others were a team effort, and I think we ultimately figured out an explanation that satisfied even me.

There are two components to the feelings that make a SEKAI:

The strong emotional desire

The ambition that will achieve it (or is at least closely related to it)

And in most cases, the only way to have strong enough feelings is to have had them for a really long time. (I think Kohane's an interesting case, since the time aspect of this is kind of important, but I won't talk about that here.) We can see this as a shared vision with Leo/need, MORE MORE JUMP! and Vivid BAD SQUAD:

To spread hope to their fans

To become idols

Vivid BAD SQUAD

To sing with their partners onstage

To surpass RAD WEEKEND

So why is the Wonderland SEKAI just Tsukasa's? After all, everyone in Wonderlands x Showtime has a shared goal of making people smile. But the answer is in the ambition: Tsukasa wants to be a star. And in the main story, he discovered his true feelings when he realized that the two go hand in hand. It's the conflict of ambition that keeps the Wonderland SEKAI from belonging to all of Wonderlands x Showtime.

But then, what about Nightcord at 25:00? At first I argued that if that's the case, it should be Kanade's SEKAI. Her desire is to save people and her ambition is to make a song that will do so, right? (I have to believe the time aspect is why this explanation isn't enough, since I can't honestly believe her feelings wouldn't be strong enough to make a SEKAI, but that creates a conflict with Kohane, so I don't know. If anyone has another explanation, lmk.) But Mafuyu has a very intense desire not shared by any of the others: to find herself. "But's what the ambition?" I asked. "She doesn't have one!" And my cousin replied:

"That's why it's empty."

And just like that, all of it made sense. The feelings make the SEKAI, and the ambition fills it. As much as I don't like it, it actually does make a lot of sense for the story that the rest of Wonderlands x Showtime and Nightcord at 25:00 didn't make the SEKAIs. All of the WxS members have different ambitions, and all of the N25 members have different feelings. That's why I believe the first three bands share the SEKAI while Tsukasa and Mafuyu don't.

Here's my analysis of n25's classpects, I also made art of them, and changed the godtier designs a bit to fit them better, made it a bit more personalized.

Kanade - Sylph of Time

Sylph is a class that heals with their aspect, or creates the aspect in others.

One of the symbols of the aspect of time is music.

So you probably know where I'm going with this, Kanade wishes to save as much people with her music as possible, no matter the cost, even if it takes a toll on her physical and mental health. She spends as much time as possible on composing, to get more time she consumes energy drinks and eats instant noodles.

Sylphs have natural understanding of their aspect - Kanade is a composing prodigy, at the age of 10 she was making better music than her father, and in area conversations it's revealed that she's a living timer, she knows exactly when the light will turn green because she counts the seconds and never misses.

When she promised Mafuyu to keep composing for her, it made Mafuyu keep trying to look for her true self. So in classpect terms, she literally created more time for her. Her music also brings comfort to thousands of n25 listeners, keeps them going. Kanade is a patient person too, she has no problem in giving Ena more time to work on her art if it means it'll be better, in this case she's the most understanding in n25.

Mafuyu - Maid of Void

Maid is a class that is burdened by their aspect, and is also 'made' of it. It's often interpreted as a class that creates their aspect for themselves.

The aspect of Void symbolises emptiness, nothingness, the unknown, shadows, secrets, lack of meaning, but also infinite potential and hidden talents. It's an aspect of people lost in the dark.

So the Maid of Void creates nothingness, is made of nothingness, and is burdened by nothingness, which sounds weird but actually fits Mafuyu very much. She literally created empty SEKAI from her true feelings - how cold and empty she feels. She also keeps n25 and her true feelings a secret from her mother. And regarding the burden of nothingness - she is tired of not knowing who she is, she is tired of coldness and emptiness she feels in her chest.

But I don't think Mafuyu hates what void represents, she likes the calm and quiet of empty SEKAI, she cares about her empty aquarium, she does find some comfort in nothingness, it's just the fact that there's too much of it.

But it's not all sad and gloom, Void is hidden potential and talents, which Mafuyu has tons of, to the point it makes Ena jealous.

Ena - Prince of Space

Prince is someone who works hard and relies on outside validation. Basically Ena.

Space is associated with arts and crafts, it's about creating material stuff you can touch.

I don't have a coherent analysis here, just trust me bro. I really can't explain my thought process here as well as I want, so I'm just leaving you the short classpect description, check out the sources if you wanna know more about the classpect.

Mizuki - Knight of Heart

Knights are people who put up a front to hide their weaknessses and insecurities. They're also the guardian of their aspect.

Heart is an aspect of identity, Heart players live rich inner lives and are invested in self-discovery, they tend to be dramatic and often struggle with being misunderstood.

Mizuki does everything they can to hide their problems under their bubbly personality, they don't want to be too bothersome to others. When Ena is worried about them, Mizuki feels like they're a bad person. They've been hurt in the past, and struggle with anyone getting too close, essentially, guarding their Heart.

It may be hard to notice at first, but Mizuki is one of the most emotionally intelligent characters in the cast. They did self-discovery, they do self-retrospection, and in turn they understand other people better. They're quick to pick up when something is wrong, or when someone feels down - they see the little things. Mizuki was the first character to notice mafumom's weird behavior too.

These sources are condtradictadory, yes, and while reading them you might notice that I didn't stick to some of the descriptions that much, but doing this little analysis I kept in mind that in the end the classpects are more about the vibe than anything else (but also not really, you see, it's complicated)

because like mafuyu making the empty sekai is one of the driving forces for n25 (especially in the main story) but with tsukasa and the wonderland sekai it’s always only ever really mentioned in passing if at all? like the wxs main story focuses on tsukasa recovering his repressed memories/feelings in regards to why he wanted to become an actor but aside from that it’s never really made that important? 

and given the only other instance of a single person creating a sekai is mafuyu it feels strange that with tsukasa it hasn’t been given that same level of focus

WXS run an improv/theatre group for the rest of the characters. L/N, MMJ, VBS all do it to improve their own performances and to be ready in case something goes wrong. Meanwhile Mizuki really wanted to have some fun with it and dragged the rest of N25 along. Several highlights include:

Ichika pulling out a monologue on the same level as Brennan Lee Mulligan (does anyone get that reference?) and floors them all, especially the monarch of dramatic monologues, Tsukasa (they have a "monologue battle")

Mafuyu, Haruka, Mizuki, and Shizuku all being worryingly good at completely changing how they act/seem good on a dime.

Saki and Toya doing a sad family scene that leaves Tsukasa sobbing

Akito complaining and dragging his feet a bit, but when he must recite a Shakespearean part, maybe Macbeth, he aces it - turns out he used to adore and practice Shakespeare religiously

And they all end up doing a final ending performance where they all get to shine, for a chance to show how far they've gotten, and after even though it's not officially running, several of them keep up classes on their own

why bad apple’s cover DESERVED to be given to niigo

1. anyone who says that it shouldn’t have, yall are lucky asf that bad apple is in project sekai and come at me if you wanna pick a fight 😭. the people that say it shouldn’t have NOT read the lyrics. deeper meaning songs do have a meaning too although it has a catchy rhythm. second, they also have not read niigo stories guaranteed. the apple is referenced all accross n25 stories, comissioned songs, mvs, etc.

2. let’s make a connection shall we? disney princess fans, your time to shine. what was snow white poisoned by? (jeopardy music…)

if you said by an apple, you are correct! snow white was poisoned by the apple from a witch. when she trusted the witch and took a bite, she fell into a deep sleep. the apple represents mafuyu’s heart the most and the “advice/care” that people try to pass off as love.

3. mirage of light’s (asahina mafuyu’s 2nd focus event) event was the first time the apples and reference was brought up. mafu-mom gave mafuyu apples when she was sick as a kid, representing her love and kindness for mafuyu. mafuyu gets older, she meets niigo, and her mom starts trapping her and manipulating her more and more as it becomes harder to control her. the apple that was once filled with love and kindness is now poisonous, as mafu-mom uses the whole "i’m doing this for your sake" as an excuse for her actions. (cards image below)

4. the same thing happens again, but this time with kanade by her side. mafuyu got sick, pushes herself to the limit, and passes out on a bench, and kanade finds her and brings her home. kanade’s mom gave kanade apple sauce when she was younger, and kanade does the same for mafuyu. kanade is giving the love and kindness she had to mafuyu, something mafuyu no longer has but desperately needs. mafuyu starts 'living with dwarfs' the longer she stays with niigo.

5. in saying goodbye to my persona (asahina mafuyu’s fourth focus) makes it pretty clear that the apple peeling when she was younger had a big impact on her so that's pretty unavoidable. she remembers that so well that it formed the basis of mafuyu’s dream of being a nurse. There's also the fairy tale symbolism.

6. they’re awesome sauce. especially mafuyu’s voice cracking when she sounds like she’s about to cry while singing and kanade’s soft, angelic voice (i would imagine her mom’s literally being that too)

why don’t the siblings talk about their SEKAI’s?

To everyone who is close with their siblings (including me) it probably felt a bit weird that the pro sekai siblings never discuss their respective sekai’s (especially the tenma’s). here are what i think the most likely (non-meta) reasons are:

Shinonomes:

The empty SEKAI is Mafuyu’s, and as much as it has become all of N25’s, it would be a betrayal of trust to air her business like that. As stubborn as Akito was about street SEKAI during VBS’s main story line, I think he just forced himself to think of the place as Not a Big Deal very quickly to justify not thinking about what it’s presence means. He also isn’t aware that other people can be brought into SEKAI’s, so proving it would be difficult.

Also, biggest thing, the Shinonome siblings are the type to not share personal stuff unless it is absolutely necessary.

Hinomoris:

Shizuku never wanted anyone to worry about her idol career, and telling Shiho about the SEKAI would be doing precisely that. She also takes her role as an older sister pretty seriously, and tries to be a supporter instead of supported. Shiho would rather die than open up to her sister. In all seriousness, telling her about the SEKAI is wildly out of character, and if she did, she would have to open up about all the stuff that happened with L/N.

The both of them also do not know you can take others into SEKAIs.

Tenmas:

This is the one I struggled the most on. These two are incredibly close, so the fact that they haven’t told each other about their SEKAI’s is strange to me. Here’s how I see it.

Tsukasa works incredibly hard to make sure Saki doesn’t worry about him. Although wonderland SEKAI doesn’t really tell WxS a lot of lore, he knows it’s rare for one person to single-handedly create a SEKAI. I think, even when he didn’t remember his true feelings during the main story, there were red flags subconsciously going off in his mind, reminding him that this is a worrying situation to be in. Even after he finds his true feelings, to tell Saki he was in emotional turmoil in the past? Unthinkable. She would be devastated that she did nothing about. (Also his mental health is declining atm so it’s not like he wants any more attention drawn to it.)

But what about Saki? She was the first to figure out her feelings, was ecstatic about the Miku Dimension. Tsukasa knew about Honami and Shiho cutting her off, since they wouldn’t be visiting her in the hospital. She has the least to lose out of everyone.

However, looking at this from the perspective of an older sibling, I would be absolutely fucking terrified if my brother told me he was going to another dimension where I could not follow and was made up of his and his friend’s repressed feelings. Whether or not he had a SEKAI, i think tsukasa would lose his mind in worry if he learned Saki had one. (I also personally think he doesn’t know how bad it got between L/N or he would be a lot more protective.) Saki never wants to make him worry about her, ever, despite him basically making that his whole identity.

TL;DR: emotional repression, everyone would worry about each other, and half of them have no clue you can bring outsiders into the SEKAI
