A man possessed, Colin takes a step forward. He takes Penelope's chin in his hands and tilts her face up to his. Their lips are mere inches apart. Their breath mingles, the air growing hot and heavy. And then, Pen's eyes close and their lips close the distance. Soft at first, the perfect, innocent first kiss, lips just barely meeting. After a moment, they press more firmly into one another, the two of them giving in to the passion of the moment. As Colin pulls back just a second, Pen's eyelids flutter open. Colin looks at her like he has never really seen her before, in awe of her beauty. But in that moment, the spell is broken for Pen, as she realizes she's pressing her face against the window of a house she can never live in. (x)
