Are you named after someone? Yes, the journalist Shana Alexander, although her name is not pronounced the way mine is, because apparently my mom liked the way it looked but not quite the way it sounded. Thus I have spent my whole life with a phonetically incorrect name lulz.

When was the last time you cried? This morning, watching clips from The Good Place.

Do you have kids? I do, two boys. Well, basically men. They are the lights of my life and the treasures of my heart and the pains in my ass and the thorns in my side. Tbh I don’t know what I have done to deserve them. Nothing. But I’m so grateful. They’re just such a gift and I adore them.

Do you use sarcasm a lot? Every minute of every day.

What’s the first thing you notice about people? Wow, good question. The short answer is probably gender, which might be awful but it is what it is. After that probably the vibe a person gives off, and after that I’m a complete sucker for expressive eyes.

What’s your eye color? Entirely basic brown.

Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings, every fucking time.

Any special talents? I’m good at eating tacos, being filled with anxiety and existential dread, and crying about people who don’t exist?

Where were you born? Silver Spring, MD. And it’s Silver Spring, not Silver Springs, ffs.

What are your hobbies? Dissociating my life away, reading, obsessing over every terrible thing that might happen, trying to be a good parent, very occasionally writing, falling passionately in love with fake people.

Do you have any pets? One cat, M. He’s a rescue who was abused as a baby and is the most prickly pear you can imagine. Naturally I love his furry ass with my soul.

How tall are you? Hopefully still 5’2”. I need to remember to take my calcium.

What sports do you play/have played? I was a gymnast when I was WAY tiny. But we moved and I never got back into it. After that my parents forced me to play softball when I was nine, resulting in one of the most miserable summers of my life. I was transcendently terrible. After that they stopped trying, thank fuck.

Favorite subject at school? English. Always English. The only thing at which I’ve ever been remotely good.

Dream job? Literally anything that lets me work with students who want to learn. I love teaching and tutoring. I love the feeling of knowing that I managed to help a student understand something they were struggling with before. It’s the best.

I am on top of all of that! And if you would like to be friends after all of this done and over with, we certainly can try. ^^ I just know how hard I am sometimes to get along with. But it sounds like you and your friend who have the mumu have it pretty much set up perfectly! As long as you two are having fun, that's all that matters honestly.

Moonlight: Describe your perfect night in my squad’s all together again, prob have chinese food in front of us + doing face masks, the party playlist i made for prom is on and we prank call ex’s and old friends from hs

Werewolf: Do you have any pets? What are they called? yes, i have one cat and his name is booboo! (well his name is benny but we call him booboo)

Unicorn: If you could have a magical animal companion, what would it be? uhhhh, a mini dragon? or a thestral from harry potter, but i havent seen anyone die so that wouldnt work

Elf: House by the forest or by the beach? beach, i wouldnt wanna be isolated, which i imagine forest homes are. but i dont like the heat so, a mild beach

Siren: What songs are you loving at the minute? Do you have a spotify playlist? a few are electric blue by ICEHOUSE, cellophane angel by dan auerbach, and superstar by bette midler. here’s my v eclectic spotify playlist i update it a lot 

Potion: What is your favorite fragrance? i have this one vintage YSL cologne ive been enjoying, smells like olive oil and like some form of alcohol, its pretty strong.
