Y'all, time for a bit of real talk.

PLEASE DO NOT FREAK OUT AND PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING!!!

This year has been really, REALLY bad. It's been exhausting both physically, mentally, and emotionally. And frankly, it's made me stop and think, even rethink. It certainly doesn't help that I've been sick these past few days, which has made me that much more depressed, and with how uncertain everything is now and in the future, It makes me ponder what I want to do with myself. So it's time to put my foot down. These are MY decisions, and I'm not going to let ANYONE sway or guilt me into changing my mind. So saddle up, because here it comes.

Smut: No more of it.

I don't feel comfortable doing it anymore. I'm very, VERY sorry to disappoint, but at this point, I've stopped enjoying it, especially with how risky it can be. Thank you all for understanding.

This blog: I'm not gonna have it forever.

I've had this blog for TEN YEARS now, and while talking to you guys and the occasional roleplay is still fun, for some personal reasons, I'm starting to fall out of love with this blog. So I intend on getting rid of it some day and starting fresh. When? Maybe by the end of the year, maybe by the end of next year. I still haven't decided, but it's going to happen eventually.

This ISN'T goodbye. At least not if I can help it.

I have no idea what's going to happen this year, next year, or the year after that. But I want you all to know that I love and care about ALL of you, and don't want to just straight-up LEAVE you guys. If I suddenly vanish without a word, it wasn't by choice. When I get rid of this blog (again, sooner or later, not right away), I will try to let you all know. And I will come back to Tumblr ASAP. I will be here. You'll just have to find me, or, better yet, I'll find you. But again, this is all provided that nothing terrible happens between now and then. I have zero control over life or the world around me. God willing, nothing bad happens.

It's time for Beginnings, the podcast where writer and performer Andy Beckerman talks to the comedians, writers, filmmakers and musicians he admires about their earliest creative experiences and the numerous ways in which a creative life can unfold.

On today's episode, I talk to musician Tanya Donelly. Originally from Newport, Rhode Island, Tanya founded not just one, but three, incredible 20th century bands. As a teenager in the 1980s, she formed Throwing Muses with her step-sister Kristin Hersh and performed with them through 1991. During this same time, she founded The Breeders with Kim Deal and co-wrote the first album Pod. Tanya left both groups though to form Belly, where she was the principal songwriter and frontperson. Their first album Star was a huge hit, although the group then broke up after their second album, which started Tanya's solo career. Since then, she's released numerous albums and EPs on 4AD, performed again with Throwing Muses & Belly, and contributed to more albums than I can possibly list here in a short bio!

Song Suggestions Wanted

My 16yr old (they/he) is currently in a youth residential treatment program after a psycotic break, planning to kill himself, and a stay in a psych ward. While they still can't have their phone they are now able to have a mp3 player. I'm putting together some playlists to put on the one I bought that's being delivered later today.

They asked for music I'm into as well as stuff I know they like but going through my & their liked songs a lot of it is too angst ridden and/or depressing. (It's almost like depression runs in the family.)

Cat v cat <3 Senpai in particular also has an easy 'in' to Dandie's mainverse by sheer virtue of being a Literal video game character, so her finding a funky game & it being Senpai's is very straightforward which could lead to an interesting dynamic, especially considering Senpai being part code part Mentally Ill Guy meaning he's just not the healthiest innately but could also lead to some interesting growth as they learn to deal with eachother since. well. unless Dandie pawned Senpai's game off to somebody else or overcame what guilt there'd probably be of permanently shutting his game off, they're stuck with eachother BKHGTBR

ofc, there's also my UT/DR muses! Chara, Asgore, Toriel, Kris, Ralsei, Jevil and Noelle all leap first to mind, with Toriel in particular radiating the potential to have an interesting impact in her life if given the chance. I do have higher muse for DR muses at the moment, but I also think there could be an interesting dynamic with Ralsei and Dandie, being so similar and yet so different in the same breath, and the same kinda goes with Noelle! Especially since by default, I tend to play her after the events of a half completed ( and in one verse, fully completed ) snowgrave run which offers an interesting aspect given her being a young girl trying to find herself through a time of hardship and anxiety and very fresh trauma, and Jevil mostly because I think it could be fun <3 plus, Dandie I've noticed sometimes gravitates to folk of their chaotic nature :]

And of course, FNaF verse has a very wide array! Monty, Spring Bonnie, Mangle, Marionette, Toy Bonnie, OG Chica, OG Freddy, Plushtrap, Vanny, I've a cavalcade of options to throw at her, should any gel in particular!

Actually, Klaasje and Noel in particular would also be very fun, less because of the witchy aspect and more because just like. fucken girlbosses, i feel like Noel would like Klaasje's attitude or at the very least Klaasje would like Noel's BHKGBTR though, honestly Skullkid, Artemis, Ares, Hypnos, Zagreus, WD Gaster, the Doll, etc etc could all work n be very inchresting!!!
