huuum discovered I can log into my mom's cable provider...
Tempering with my hockey withdrawal with women's college hockey. Yay.
Don't have a go to college hockey team to root for since there's multiple Minnesotas. My alma mater and the town I live in now belong to a much smaller division (hometown doesn't have one.)
Do I do the Gophers because I've actually lived in the Twin Cities and it means woo hoo border battle rival games? UMD because it speaks to my northern roots even though that's the hardest home games for me to get to if I decide to try? Mavericks because they're the underdogs? (which means I'll never see my team win the championship lolsob.)
St. Cloud is Minnesota's armpit and St. Thomas was my alma mater's rival school so those are hard no.

never really cared (until i met you) | jake seresin x oc
a turning tables fic
SUMMARY: While saying goodbye before he leaves on a mission, Jas realizes there may be more to her relationship with Jake than she thought.
WARNINGS: angst, mentions of a dangerous mission, mild fluff. strictly 18+/minors dni.

A/N: It's my birthday (29, yikes), and my gift to you is this fic. It was supposed to be longer, but alas, it is not. Thank you for your support of me and my writing. This is also my very late submission for @roosterforme's rocktober writing challenge where I picked the song Alone by Heart. Enjoy!
She watches Jake sitting on the edge of her bed getting ready to leave not just her house, but the city. Taken away by an aircraft carrier at sea for a mission he might not survive. He’s not allowed to tell her, but she knows.
The room is dark save for the lamp on the nightstand, soft yellow light bouncing off Jake’s perfectly tan skin, making him appear almost golden. He stands, his shoulder muscles moving fluidly underneath the skin, and they tense as he reaches for his jeans on the floor. He pulls them on and does the button up.
Next, he looks for his t-shirt while Jas sits up in the bed, letting the sheet fall into her lap. She watches him pull the black cotton over his head, and his golden hair looks even more unruly than it did before. The shirt stretches across his chest and fits narrowly around his biceps, and he almost looks like a god. Not that Jas would ever tell him that. She’d never hear the end of it.
His gaze holds hers as he tries to tame his hair, then he places a knee on the mattress, making it dip as he leans in and kisses her. She used to never allow this intimacy. They’d get each other off and he would go, vowing to not speak a word of it. Now she allows him to kiss her because it may be one of the last.
She may not know the details of the mission, but you could cut the tension on base with a knife for weeks. When Floyd and Trace went down, Jake came to her with a distraught look on his face. She’d never seen him like that, and any jabs she’d wanted to make died on her tongue.
Since then, she’s seen more of him. He stayed the night, and she would let him kiss her in the kitchen in the morning. She even let him come to her office to vent and let him buy her an old-fashioned at The Hard Deck a few times. Now, she’s letting him kiss her before he leaves on a suicide mission.
Jake gets off the bed and pulls on his boots. He reaches for the sheet on his side of the bed to make it, but stops at the look Jas sends him. “Leave it, Seresin.”
He nods, straightening his back again. “I’m gonna head back.”
Jas stands from the bed, contemplates walking him to the door in the nude, but decides against. She grabs clean panties and a t-shirt from the dresser and puts them on while Jake watches her every move.
She follows him to the front door, trailing behind him on bare feet. Uncertainty hangs in the air, rendering them both unusually quiet. Jas doesn’t know what to do with the silence.
Jake pulls the front door open. A light breeze flows through, making Jas shiver in the thin t-shirt she put on. Hugging herself, she runs her palms up and down her arms, trying to stay warm.
Jake turns to face her, expression uncommonly serious. He looks like he wants to say something by the way his mouth hangs slightly ajar, and his eyes search for something in hers. She’s not sure what.
“Doc,” he says, voice clear and bright in the faded glow from the porch light.
She steps forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and kisses him. His mouth moves against hers in slow, languid motions and she revels in his taste. She clings to him, and his strong arms tighten around her waist, keeping her close. Some part of her never wants to let him go, wants him to stay here with her where he’s safe.
But he has orders and a mission to complete, so Jas pulls back, leaning her forehead against his. Their heavy breaths mix and she wonders if he can hear how hard her heart pounds in her chest.
“I gotta go,” he says and untangles himself from Jas, but she senses hesitation in him. He doesn’t want to go anymore than Jas wants him to.
She doesn’t say any of it, though. She simply nods and steps back. You’d think after years in the Navy, she’d be better at goodbyes like this, but she’s not. Something about seeing Jake walk down those front porch steps makes her stomach churn.
He’s halfway down the path to his car parked on the street when she steps onto the porch and calls for him. “Jake.”
He stops in his tracks. In the rapidly approaching dawn, she can tell he takes a deep breath before turning back around. He walks back toward her, stopping at the bottom of the stairs.
He’s quiet, waits for her to do the talking. “Give me your phone,” Jas finally says and walks down the steps, holding her hand out towards him.
A furrow appears between his brows, but he complies, handing it over.
Typing in her number, she saves it under the name Doc, even though she hates when he calls her that. At first. Now she’s grown used to it, and hearing him call her anything else feels wrong.
“Here,” she mutters and hands it back to him. “Text me when you get back.”
He looks down that the phone that now sits in his hand, the furrow between his brows having deepened in confusion. Jas has refused to give him her number for weeks, but now that she’s done it, it looks as if he can’t fathom why.
“Doc, I–”
She cuts him off with a kiss. It’s the only way she knows how to express that letting him leave is one of the hardest things she’s ever done. She doesn’t have the energy to unpack exactly what that says about her situation with Jake.
Breaking the kiss, she plays with the short hair at his nape. “Let me know you’re alive,” she mumbles and pecks his lips again.
His hands rest on her waist, setting her skin on fire, and if he didn’t have to be back on base soon, she’d be ready to go again. It’d be the third time in the past 24 hours, which isn’t their record, but close.
“I gotta go,” he whispers.
She takes a deep breath, allowing the scent of him–leather and jet fuel–to fill her nostrils. She commits it to memory and hopes the pillow on his side of the bed smells like him.
Then she takes a step back and straightens her spine. Composes herself and reminds herself that Jake is just some guy she’s fucking. They’re not serious, and she ignores the hurt that crosses his face for a split second. He’s expecting her to say something, but the words that threaten to pass her lips are stuck in her throat.
He says nothing as he turns around and walks down the path to his car. He doesn’t wave as he drives off towards base, leaving Jas standing at the foot of the porch stairs in just a t-shirt and panties.
She watches him drive into the sunrise and out of her reach.

Minnesota State: 2023-24 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball National Champions
EVANSVILLE, Ind. --- The NCAA DII National Championship game came down to the closing seconds Saturday afternoon but a three pointer in the corner by Kyreese Willingham with 0.8 seconds left proved to be the difference as Minnesota State won its first NCAA DII Championship over Nova Southeastern by the score of 88-85.
With the win, MSU finishes its season with a 35-2 record. With the loss, NSU finishes its season with a 32-3 record.
The opening minutes of the game saw the Sharks take advantage of a few MSU turnovers as they built a 12-2. After taking a timeout, the Mavericks got back on track with a pair of baskets from Dylan Peeters and Elijah Hazekamp to get back within five of NSU at 12-7 with 15:06 to go in the half. By the midpoint of the first half NSU was able to extend its lead to 21-12 with 10:32 to go, with MSU's two scores coming courtesy of Justin Eagins and Malcolm Jones.
The Mavericks then responded with a 16-6 run over the next four minutes to take a 28-27 lead. Four Mavericks scored during that stretch, including Harrison Braudis and Kyreese Willingham who each tallied five points. The lead would exchange three more times up to the 4:00 media timeout as NSU led the Mavericks 34-33.
The final four minutes of the half saw two more lead changes as the Sharks carried a 40-38 lead into halftime.
All eight Mavericks who saw the court in the opening stanza reached the scoring column. MSU was paced by Peeters who notched eight points, behind a 4-of-5 effort from the field. Both Braudis and Kyreese Willingham notched seven points each. Hazekamp led the Mavericks in rebounds in the first half with five.
As a unit, MSU shot 45.2% from the field in the first half. The Mavericks also passed out eight assists.
Ryker Cisarik led all scorers in the first half with nine points, while Shane Hunter tallied eight points.
As a team, NSU shot 37.5% from the field. The Sharks also forced nine Maverick turnovers.
The second half saw the Mavericks come out firing on all cylinders as they started the half on a 10-0 run to take a 48-40 lead with 18:41 to go. Eagins notched five of MSU's 10 points during the opening stretch of the second half. With 11:20 remaining in the game the Mavericks led by 10 at 68-58 as Braudis, Eagins, Hazekamp and Malik Willingham each connected from downtown.
Trailing 71-58 with 11:19 to go, the Sharks then put together a 13-0 run to tie the game at 71-71 with 6:55 to go in the game. The lead would change hands a few more times as the game remained tied at 85-85 with 1:15 to go.
The Mavericks had the first chance at taking the lead in the final minute but their shot just missed and was rebounded by NSU. Then with 27 seconds to go in the game, Malik Willingham got the steal underneath the basket and called a timeout.
As he had during the NCAA Central Region Championship, Malik Willingham had the ball in the closing seconds before finding the open man, this time his brother Kyreese Willingham, in the corner who drained the three pointer with 0.8 seconds left on the clock to put MSU up 88-85. An FSU turnover on the inbounds pass sealed the deal for the Mavericks.
Peeters finished with a team-leading 19 points, to go along with four assists, as he shot 9-of-10 from the field. Eagins added 17 points and six rebounds, while Malik Willingham, Kyreese Willingham and Braudis each tallied 12 points. Malik also tallied five assists and five steals, while Kyreese hauled in five rebounds. Braudis also passed out three assists as he finished 4-of-5 from the field.
As a unit, MSU shot 52.4% from the field, including a 14-of-32 (.438) showing from downtown. The Mavericks also passed out 18 assists and recorded 10 steals.
MJ Iraldi led the Sharks with 25 points and seven rebounds, while Hunter notched a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Isaiah Fuller recorded 12 points of his own.
As a team, NSU shot 44.6% from the field, including a 5-of-9 performance from three point range. The Sharks also hauled in 42 rebounds.
Malik Willingham was named Elite Eight Most Outstanding Player. Kyreese Willigham also qualified for the All-Tournament Team.

The Mavericks are in the playoffs. If we win tonight and tomorrow, we advance to the next round. If we lose tonight and win tomorrow, or vice versa, we will have to play Sunday. If we lose both games, our season is over. We had one of the best records of the WCHA this year. We had 26 wins, 7 losses, and 1 tie (which resulted in a shootout loss.) Our goalie, Connor LaCouvee, got "Goaltender Champion", and one of the captains, senior center, CJ Suess, got "Scoring Champion". We will be losing some key players. #15, CJ Suess, #37, Connor LaCouvee, #19, Brad McClure, #10, Zeb Knutson, #29, Aaron Nelson, and last but not least, #4, Clint Lewis. I will miss them, but I hope I will see CJ in the NHL in a year or two.

A/N: I haven't written for Jake and Jas for a while and I missed them, so I dug this out of my drafts and finally finished it. I forgot how much I love writing their dynamic, so I hope you like this little drabble.
There was a knock on the door and Jas looked up from the computer screen to find Martha in the doorway. She held a chart in her hands and had an annoyed look on her face.
“There’s a lieutenant here who needs stitches,” she said.
Jas furrowed her brows, glancing at the clock on her computer. “Stitches?” she questioned. “Usually you take care of stitches.”
Martha sighed, offering the clipboard with the intake form to Jas, who stood to accept it. Flipping the page, her breath hitched at the name. “He’s asking for you.”
Jas held back a groan. “Of course he is,” she muttered and followed Martha out to the reception area.
“Watch out for him,” she said as she situated herself behind the desk. “I remember him from when he was at TOPGUN.”
“Let me guess,” Jas said, heading for the exam room. “He was as much a pain in the ass then as he is now.”
She didn’t wait to hear Martha’s response, but opened the door to the stark white exam room. Jake Seresin sat on the exam bed, holding gauze to his left eyebrow.
“Who punched you this time?” she asked, closing the door behind her. He was in civilian clothes. Dark jeans, black boots, and a white t-shirt sprinkled with blood from his split eyebrow.
She expected him to grin, to make a quip, but nothing came. He looked defeated and a little angry.
“Met an ex-boyfriend of yours,” he said nonchalantly. Jas frowned at that, not remembering that any of her exes lived or worked in the area. She supposed a trip wouldn’t be out of the question, but it seemed unlikely.
She put the clipboard down on the bed next to him. “Yeah?” She asked and reached for a pair of gloves from the dispenser on the wall. “Which one?”
“Connor, I think his name was,” he said and removed the gauze at her indication.
Jas chuckled. “Please tell me you threw the first punch,” she said, but caught herself. “Was it a punch that did this?”
“Yeah,” he confirmed with a shrug as Jas inspected the cut running through his brow. “Didn’t know you were into bodybuilders.”
Jas frowned at that. “He was scrawny when we were in med school.”
“Not anymore,” Hangman stated. “What’s the verdict?”
“You need stitches, so I’m going to numb you up and get started, okay?”
He nodded with another shrug. Silence fell over the room as Jas worked, finding a thread and needle, scissors, and tongs to hold the needle with.
“Tell me to stop if you feel any pain, okay?”
Jake hummed his acknowledgement, and Jas got to work putting him back together. He flinched a couple of times, but took it mostly in a stride.
“He wasn’t my boyfriend, you know.”
“What?”
“Connor,” Jas clarified as she tied up the last knot. “We went on two dates and had very boring, unsatisfying sex once.”
Jake frowned. His green eyes darkened, confusion overtaking his stupidly handsome face. “He wasn’t your boyfriend?”
Jas snorted so hard her nose hurt. “No,” she answered, discarding the gloves in a nearby trashcan. “He’s lying if he said that.”
“He did,” Jake said, as his feet hit the floor with a soft thud.
“So,” Jas began, looking over his intake form. “Why’d you punch him?”
Jake hovered near her shoulder, watching as she added her own notes, and she felt the intensity of his gaze. He was all body heat and tension and his cologne invaded her senses, making her head feel heavy.
“He’s an idiot.”
She looked up from the clipboard. She watched him put his balled up fists in his pockets and the way his jaw clenched. “I can’t put that in your chart,” she replied, straightening her back.
“It’s the truth.”
Jas nodded. “I’m sure it is, but I still can’t put that in your chart. So, what’d he say, Seresin?”
He looked around the room, avoiding her eyes. He clearly didn’t want to tell her, but she would pry it from him if she had to. She had her ways, especially with him.
“It doesn’t matter,” he finally replied.
Stepping forward, she came into his space, ignoring the electricity that burst to life between them as they breathed the same air. She could smell beer on his breath, and found that she didn’t hate it. “Come on, Seresin,” she coaxed, running a fingertip along his left bicep. “It can’t be that bad.”
Jake clenched his jaw again, turning his gaze to the ceiling as he let out a long breath. When his eyes returned to hers, he looked like he wanted to punch the man all over again. “He said you were an easy lay.”
Jas snorted again. “Did he now?”
“Yes.” Jake’s tone was harsh. Voice deep and hoarse.
“So you defended my honor?”
His eyes narrowed. “I–”
“I don’t need you to defend me, lieutenant,” Jas interrupted, squeezing his arm before taking a step back. “Certainly not to a guy who couldn’t even get me off.”
“He called you a slut,” he protested, clearly taken aback by her response.
She chuckled. “He’s not the first one to say that, and he won’t be the last. It says more about him than it does about me.”
Picking up a pen, she noted the reason for his trip to the infirmary, but left out some key details. No one needed to know that he’d started a bar fight.
“You’re not upset?”
She turned back to Jake, who looked as confused as ever. It was cute. “That he called me a slut, or that you punched him?”
“The name.”
“I don’t like it,” Jas relented. “But he’s just some guy I went to med school with. He’s an idiot.”
At that, Jake smiled for the first time. A small smile, but it the made the skin around his eyes crinkle in that way she loved so much.
“You’re not mad,” he said, sounding relieved, making Jas smile.
“No,” she said and stepped into his space again. “But if you still wanna make it up to me, come to my place after my shift.”
Jake’s eyes widened. When he opened his mouth to reply, Jas cut him off with a searing kiss to his lips that he returned with fervor, hands on her waist immediately.
They broke apart, and Jas leaned in, brushing her lips against his earlobe to whisper only a few short words.
“Get me off like the idiot never could.”

Soccer Announces 2021 Fall Schedule
Story Links
MONMOUTH, Ore. – Having played a condensed spring schedule, the Western Oregon University soccer team will look forward to a full fall schedule for the 2021 campaign.
It will be a home start to the schedule with a pair of exhibition contests taking place towards the end of August in Monmouth. WOU will play Linfield on Aug. 24 and Portland State on Aug. 27, with both games being played at home and will count as exhibition contests.
WOU played Linfield last year in an exhibition game in McMinnville claiming the 3-1 victory. Hannah Rispler, Alyssa Tomasini and Liz Parker all recorded goals in the game. The Wolves rolled to the exhibition victory during the 2019 season taking the 6-0 win that was also played in McMinnville. Linfield played several games during the spring as well, going 7-1 overall. Michayla Sponsel led the team with nine points, while Laney Green had a team-high three goals. In net, Madi Reimer played in all eight games, coming away with five shutout victories.
Just a few days later, WOU will welcome in Portland State. This will be just the second time since 2000 that the teams will play in Monmouth. The Wolves won the first two meetings in the series in 2000 and 20001, while Portland State has victories in the last two meetings in 2002 and in 2005. It’s been even over those four matches, with neither team winning by more than a goal and each team scored five goals. Portland State went 0-8 during the spring season, with Paige Donathan leading the team with four points and a team-high two goals. In goal, Enya Hernandez started all eight games, collecting 49 saves.
The final exhibition of the fall will arrive on Aug. 30 when WOU travels to Klamath Falls to face Oregon Tech. The Wolves are 2-0 against Oregon Tech since 2009, with both wins coming in Monmouth. The most recent meeting took place in 2016 with WOU claiming the 3-1 victory. Oregon Tech played a full spring schedule, going 12-1-1. Mehana Ortiz led the team with 29 points, while Maddie Miller added a team-high 11 goals and 23 points. Three players saw time in goal, with Alyx Burkhartzmeyer playing in 10 games, picking up seven shutout wins and two combined shutout wins.
When the calendar rolls to September, WOU will open the regular season in Colorado against Western Colorado and Colorado Mesa. It will be the second straight fall season that the Wolves have traveled out to Colorado to start the regular season, having played Western Colorado and Adams State to start the 2019 year.
WOU will face Western Colorado first on Sep. 3. The Wolves rolled to a 6-0 win over Western Colorado back in 2019 in the only meeting between the teams. It was the first win as head coach of WOU for Kacey Bingham, as Tomasini tallied a pair of goals. Western Colorado went 1-8 during the spring season with Jessie Jacobsen leading the team with four points and a team-high two goals. In net, Kaeyla Noble and Grace Walker each saw time, with Noble picking up the win.
To finish the Colorado road trip, WOU will play at Colorado Mesa on Sep. 5. This will be the first meeting between the schools. The Mavericks went 5-4-1 in the 2021 spring season, with Lila Dere leading the offense with 14 points on seven goals. Lexi Newton added eight points. In goal, both Chloe Dody and Emily Signorio saw time, with Signorio collecting three wins and 20 saves.
The Wolves return home from that trip to host Sonoma State and Humboldt State. WOU will play the Seawolves first on Sep. 10. The two teams have played each other a lot since 2000, but not recently. Sonoma State has gone 7-1 during that time with all but three of the games played in California. The most recent meeting took place in 2010 with Sonoma State taking the 201 victory. The Seawolves have won the past six meetings, with the only WOU win coming in 2002.
Sonoma State, part of the CCAA conference, didn’t participate in any sports during the 2020-21 season, so their last games were in 2019 where they went 15-4-1, advancing to the NCAA West Regional. Alexis Espitia led the team with 18 points, posting eight goals. Julia Pritchard added 10 points. In goal, Ashley Morton started all 20 games, tallying eight shutouts and recorded 61 saves.
Humboldt State will come to Monmouth a few days later on Sep. 12. The two teams played this past spring in an exhibition contest with the Wolves taking the 4-1 victory. Tomasini recorded a hat trick on her way to being named the GNAC Player of the Week. Humboldt State holds a slight 9-7-1 record in the series since 2000, as the Jacks have won the past three meetings in the series not counting the most recent exhibition win for WOU.
Humboldt State went 1-0-1 during the spring 2020 season in countable games, as they played a total of five games going 2-1-2. They finished the season tying with Portland State and then claiming a 1-0 win over the Vikings. In the two countable games, Brooke Weese led the team with two points, coming away with a goal. Alexis Aguilar started in goal and posted a shutout win.
The first GNAC games of the season arrive near the end of September when WOU will play at Saint Martin’s and Western Washington. The Wolves will face the Saints on Sep. 23 in Lacey. The teams split their meetings this past spring, with WOU taking the 3-2 win in Monmouth before Saint Martin’s claimed the 1-0 win in Lacey. In the meeting in Monmouth, Tomasini, Camille Darland and Piper Matson all recorded goals. WOU holds a 11-10-4 edge in the series since 2007, with the Wolves holding a 5-4-1 advantage over the past 10 meetings.
Saint Martin’s went 1-10 during the 2021 spring season with Kiersten Madsen leading the team with 11 points, recording five goals. Lexi Caceres added four points on a pair of goals. In net, Ali Campigotto started all 11 games, recording a shutout and 63 saves.
WOU will continue the road trip on Sep. 25 at Western Washington. The two teams played one neutral site game during the 2021 spring season with the Vikings taking the 3-0 victory. Western Washington has gone 9-0-1 over the past 10 meetings and are 33-5-1 in the series since 2000.
During the 2021 spring season, Western Washington went 4-1-2 with Estera Levinte leading the team with eight points, posting three goals. Zola Carbone added six points on three goals. In goal, Natalie Dierickx saw a majority of the time, picking up three wins, two combined shutouts and 10 saves.
A pair of home games arrive on Sep. 30 and Oct. 2 when WOU welcomes in Seattle Pacific and Montana State Billings. WOU will play the Falcons first, as the two teams played twice during the 2021 spring season with SPU taking both wins. The Falcons have gone 35-3-1 in the series since 2001 and are 9-1 over the past 10 meetings.
The Falcons went 8-0-1 during the 2021 spring season, with Sophia Chilczuk leading the way with 28 points and 10 goals. Claire Neder added 21 points and eight goals. In goal, Riley Travis went 6-0-1 with two shutouts, two combined shutouts and 17 saves.
WOU finishes the two-game homestand against MSU Billings on Oct. 2. The two teams didn’t play during the 2021 spring season, as they split the 2019 meetings with each winning on their home fields. MSU Billings holds a slight 11-10-4 series edge since 2000, going 5-3-2 over the past 10 meetings.
The Yellowjackets went 4-5 during the 2021 spring season, with Jordan Roe leading the team with seven points and three goals. Lexie Bloyder and Izzy Menning added four points apiece, as each scored two goals. In goal, Clare Keenan started seven games, grabbing three wins, 35 saves and was part of two combined shutouts.
The final two games on the first look of the conference teams will take place Oct. 7, Oct. 9 and Oct. 14 against Central Washington, Northwest Nazarene and Simon Fraser. WOU has gone 17-12-8 against Central Washington in the meetings since 2000, going 3-3-4 over the past 10 meetings. The two teams didn’t play during the 2021 spring season, as the teams split their 2019 meetings with each winning on their home fields.
During the 2021 spring season, the Wildcats went 2-3 with Grace Jackson, Makinzie Packwood and Jayme Woodfill leading the way with four points apiece. Packwood and Woodfill each recorded two goals. In goal, Megan Fox played in five games, picking up two wins and a combined shutout, along with 10 saves.
WOU finishes the road trip on Oct. 9 traveling to Idaho to face Northwest Nazarene. WOU has gone 21-12-6 in the series since 2000, but NNU holds a 4-3-3 edge over the past 10 meetings. The two teams met twice during the 2021 spring season with the Nighthawks taking both meetings. The Wolves played a tough rematch game in Monmouth for Senior Day, coming close before NNU claimed the 2-0 victory.
NNU put together an impressive run during the 2021 spring season going 11-0. McKenzie Buell led the team with 19 points and six goals, while Ashley Parton added 17 points and seven goals. In goal, Alexis Montoya started 10 games, going 10-0 with six shutouts and one combined shutout, along with 12 saves.
Simon Fraser will travel to Monmouth on Oct. 14. Simon Fraser holds a slight 10-8-2 advantage in the series since 2001, as the teams didn’t play during the 2021 season. The last meeting came in 2019 in Canada and WOU took the 3-1 victory. The teams have split the past 10 meetings going 5-5.
With the border restrictions in 2020-21, Simon Fraser wasn’t able to compete in any games. During the 2019 season, they went 2-13-1. Giuliana Zaurrini led the team that year in points with 11, collecting five goals. Kiara Buono and Jenieva Musico each tallied six points apiece and added a pair of goals. In goal, Nicole Anderson saw a majority of the time, playing in 16 games and picked up two wins and a shutout, along with 98 saves.
The second turn through the GNAC part of the season starts on Oct. 16 when WOU will host Saint Martin’s and Northwest Nazarene on Oct. 21. The homestand continues as WOU will host Central Washington on Oct. 23, before traveling out to face MSU Billings on Oct. 28 and Seattle Pacific on Oct. 30. The final two games of the regular season arrive in November when WOU hosts Western Washington on Nov. 4 and will play at Simon Fraser on Nov. 6. The GNAC Championships will start on Nov. 11.
During the 2021 spring season, Darland, Matson and Tomasini all led the team in goals with one in the countable eight games. Four goalies saw time in net, with Morgan Mihelich playing in four games and had a win with 11 saves. Emily Wheeler played in four games and tallied 22 saves.
Back to the 2019 season, Tomasini led the team in points with 25, collecting nine goals. Isabelle Creighton and Selene Konyn added 14 points apiece, with Creighton tallying four goals and Konyn with five. Alex Qualls started 19 games in goal, tallying 10 wins, six shutouts, one combined shutout and 57 saves.

He is named in hundreds of lawsuits filed by athletes who allege that he sexually abused them under the pretense of giving them medical treatment. Since the first public allegations were made in September 2016, more than 150 women, including former USA Gymnastics national team members Jamie Dantzscher, Jeanette Antolin, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Maggie Nichols, Gabby Douglas, Simone Biles, and Jordyn Wieber, have accused Nassar of sexually abusing them. It is one of the biggest sexual abuse scandals in sports history. On July 11, 2017, Nassar pleaded guilty to federal child pornography charges and was sentenced to 60 years in prison on December 7, 2017. On November 22, 2017, he pleaded guilty to seven charges of first-degree sexual assault and entered another guilty plea a week later to three additional charges of sexual assault. On January 24, 2018, Nassar was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison, set to run after Nassar serves the 60-year federal prison sentence for child pornography. Sexual abuse allegations Larry Nassar was a licensed osteopathic physician and the national team sports-medicine doctor for USA Gymnastics. He also ran a clinic and gymnastics club at Michigan State University, where he was a faculty member. USA Gymnastics fired Nassar in 2015 "after learning of athlete concerns."In September 2016, The Indianapolis Star revealed that two former gymnasts had made allegations of sexual abuse against Nassar. Following those allegations, Michigan State University reassigned Nassar from his clinical and teaching duties and fired him later that month. Since then, over 150 women and girls have accused Nassar of sexually abusing them. According to these allegations, Nassar committed sexual assault during medical examinations, ranging from inserting a finger in the gymnasts' vaginas and anuses, to fondling their breasts and genitalia. Nassar initially denied the charges, claiming he was performing legitimate medical procedures. In February 2017, three former gymnasts, Jeanette Antolin, Jessica Howard and Jamie Dantzscher, gave an interview with 60 Minutes in which they accused Nassar of sexually abusing them. The gymnasts also alleged that the "emotionally abusive environment" at the national team training camps run by Béla and Márta Károlyi at the Karolyi Ranch near Huntsville, Texas gave Nassar an opportunity to take advantage of the gymnasts and made them afraid to speak up about the abuse. Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney, using the #MeToo hashtag on Twitter, alleged that Nassar repeatedly molested her, starting when she was 13 years old and until she retired from the sport in 2016. 227's™ Facebook Fries!¡' everything tasty with hot, crispy fries and a specialty order of #IZZONE'Spicy' #MeToo'Spicy' #GoFundMe'Spicy' #MichiganStateSpartans'Spicy' #Nike'Spicy' FRIES' sauce!
