Shipping can be many things

When people say "I ship it", they mean wildly different things.

Some mean "this looks like a couple that would make each other happy."

Some mean "this looks like a couple with an interesting dynamic."

Some mean "I see chemistry between these two."

Some mean "Out of the entire cast, this character's best choice of a partner is that character."

Some mean "These two are both hot and it would be sexy if they got together."

Etc.

So when people get Very Upset Online over what others ship, I tend to assume they're working from a different definition of 'ship' than those people.

Today is World MS Day. And this should be an important day for raising awareness of multiple sclerosis in countries around the globe. But that is not what is happening.

Even though the supposedly special day is coordinated by the MS International Federation (MSIF) and has its own website, the national charities prefer to concentrate on their own activities.
