i struggle recreating the beauty the Holy Spirit shows me musically, with the limitations of my art. He always surprises me though, and i'm humbled at how lovely it turns out, despite me. but even so, nothing can compare.. nothing can convey the beauty of the Lord.

the most beautiful Being in the universe, our Creator, came down to be one of us and shed His blood for us. He knew we couldn't pay our sin debt ourselves, and He loved us so much He became the payment in our place. but death couldn't defeat Him and He rose on the third day.

it's only through faith in Jesus Christ and His blood that we're set free. He promises eternal life to all who believe in Him, and He's coming very soon to take us home. He is the only one worthy of praise; the only one Just and Loving and True enough to trust your life with. He will never betray you or abandon you. He has loved you unto the ends of the earth. don't wait to accept Him, time is almost up! ✝🕊

tribute piece for my favorite animated movie of all time. I'm so grateful this was made, everything about it is amazing. from the flawless animation to the wonderful music. I can't love it enough.

I love Prince of Egypt so much, but the creative choice to cut Aaron speaking for Moses was such a missed opportunity. Like, can you see the potential?

It’s not just that Rameses’ brother came back for the Hebrews instead of him, but that he came back to him with another brother. And not just with that brother, but every word Moses says to him is through that brother. His brother returned to oppose him, and he won’t even speak to him.

There’s so much opportunity for tension and thematic juxtaposition having these confrontations be between Moses’ two brothers.

And I think it really could have worked to still keep the confrontation before the final plague just between Moses and Rameses—all the spokesmanship and theatricality stripped away, Moses inelegantly making one final plea that will go ignored.

Val Kilmer carried his career with charisma many aspire to have, whether on-screen or animated.

Even after losing his voice to throat cancer, he still pushed on, leaving us with an incredible legacy.

JOKE-OGRAPHY: 1. This comic references two Bible stories centered on Moses from the Book of Exodus. The first is from Chapter 2, where he murders an Egyptian for beating a Hebrew slave. He hides the Egyptian's body in the sand, but word gets around and Moses flees Egypt before Pharoah can put him to death. The second story is from Chapter 3, where, after Moses has lived away from Egypt for a time, he encounters something inexplicable: a bush wreathed in fire but not consumed by the flames. God speaks to Moses from the flames, and despite Moses's flaws, God tasks him with leading the Hebrew people out of Egypt. 2. In this cartoon, Moses comes across the burning bush, as in the story. However, the bush asks why he's outside of Egypt, and Moses very openly declares that he's a murderer. In the same spirit of openness, God cuts right to the chase and asks Moses to be a prophet.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: As Lent continues, so do the "Tomics Resurrections," where I slave away to redraw an old comic and bring it grumbling to a better place. This one was drawn 8 years ago. Time is a strange thing. I feel like I drew the original only yesterday!
