You might be wondering 'what is Johan Week'? It's a week celebrating my original character not only in his ACOTAR iteration, but in so many other universes that I have plugged him in. There is only one moderator for this week, and one expected participant — both of them are me, @highlordofkrypton!

Anyone is welcome to participate. There are prompts below, just make sure to tag @bloodyjohan so I can reblog it here and use the tag #johan week 2025 and #nyx johannes archeron (even though he isn't always Nyx, that's just where all his content is now!). It's meant to be silly, self-indulgent and all around fun.

Before being introduced as Nyx in cosmogeny, Johan has existed for decades both in my mind and in different AUs either in WIPs or RPs. This event will cover the multiverse of Johan, and different iterations which is why the prompts are so large!

DAY 1: JOHAN'S YOUTH

Johan's childhood is more or less the same in all universes with slight differences that make his life better or worse. In the ACOTAR universe, he was raised by absent parents. In the PACRIM universe, he was adopted by two loving fathers. In the WITCHER universe, he was taken and remade by the Viper School. Despite these differences, Johan's demons and afflictions follow him everywhere.

DAY 2: JOHAN AUs & HEADCANONS

Let's put this guy in situations. You know those moments where you have scenarios, or universes that you haven't quite fleshed out yet? (Hello, Teacher!Johan x Student!Tamlin AU~) What about the headcanons that are weaved into the story, but you just wanna put it in black and white on the page? I've got a ton of those!

I'm also inviting anyone who wants to participate in the week to send me an assumption about Johan and I will confirm/deny it!

DAY 3: JOHAN ART, MEMES & CHARACTER SHEETS

The tricky thing about OCs is that you need to make or commission the art you want to see of your character! I've got a bunch of work done for him, and I want to keep them all in the same place: this blog! (I'm might even try to have more done as a treat for me to me.) The same goes for silly character sheets I've filled out... and I'm might drop some new ones of my own making for you guys to fill out. Don't even get me started on memes...

DAY 4: JOHAN X READER

This is a gift from me to everyone who enjoys Johan! It will probably take me months to write the one Johan x Reader, and will be the treat of the day for you all. A little palate cleanser and break between all the content.

DAY 5: YOU OR YOUR CHARACTERS MEET JOHAN

ORIGINAL CHARACTER HAVERS, RISE UP! There's quite a few people who have OCs who know Johan, so I think it would be fun to have a day to focus on those interactions. They can be headcanons, discussions, or even building up situations with him. Please remember, Johan is a grumpy and extremely jealous guy. He will bite and take a chunk off...

DAY 6: JOHAN REQUESTS

A few months before the event, I will make a post encouraging everyone to send requests of what they would like to see in terms of Johan content. You can send asks at any time, but I'll do my best to keep full-length writing (or my really ugly doodles) for this day! Maybe I'll respond sooner as teasers for the week, hihi 🤭

DAY 7: FREE DAY

I don't know what happens here. Tears of joy? Gratitude for anyone who participates or hangs around for this nonsense? Finishing up fics that I wasn't able to? It'll be a surprise to me and you!

Yes! I primarily made Johan Week to be self-indulgent and give myself an excuse to share all the content I have about my blorbo. There are a lot of people who love him, so anyone is welcome to participate as long as the content is made with love and in good faith. It's a daunting feeling to let people play with your OC!

WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR JOHAN WEEK?

The same rules apply as any other appreciation week: respect others, no hate, "don't like, don't read", tag your content appropriately, etc. I will also add: I'd prefer it if (romantic/sexual) shipping was centered around Johan's existing ships (i.e. Tamlin, Eskel, OCs I've already discussed with, etc.) unless otherwise specified.

So uhh, checked out transformers one like you recommended [and am also halfway through prime] and gotta say... big fan such a big fan why is bumblebee so perfect and lovely and sweet, God I love bulkhead, also transformers one Megatron was right actually no notes d-16 keep up the good work.

You have opend a door for me, and though it I see hard to draw mechs that are now collectively my babygirls. Thank you.

Transformers Prime was your first medium too? That's amazing to hear! TFP is admittedly the best place to start since it has such a good amount of characters to focus on before delving into the deeper lore of the rest of the characters, the rest of the Transformers cast is also amazing to meet one day. Bumblebee is such a darling, I couldn't agree more! Bulkhead is the biggest dilf, and their designs are all sorts of great. I admittely cannot deny the way those mechas move in TFP is just:😳 The attention to their different body types and styles, and also giving them all different walks, it's those little details that are also just so amazing apart from their great personalities!

Getting to meet Megatron/D 16 in other iterations has also helped me see his TFP version of him in a different light now that I'm rewatching TFP for the third time, but that's just a me thing. What can I say, I'm obsessed!

Mecha's certainly may seem daunting, but these geometrical puzzles are in the end just beautiful shapes, and I promise you, no one actually remembers the entire details of each of their favorite robots, even a blorbo drawing is so recognizable to each of the fanbase of each character <3 I'm so glad to hear you have went to check out the wonderful world of Transformers, and I am always here if you ever want to speak of any of your favorites (and babygirls) anytime!

whispering reeds and their special little child, the groundskeeper (aka dirtcat)

i dont have a story super set in stone yet but basically. she was built by a very famous engineer named Shifting Winds, Distant Memories as their magnum opus; their final iterator project and greatest creation. Reeds is built within a great valley that is home to a vast agricultural powerhouse, the groundwater under the mountains used both to power her and water the crops. They were built with scientific advancement in mind, equipped with a great greenhouse for studying specimens and a robust laboratory for genetic tinkering. part of their purpose was to engineer new and better crops, animals, and pest repellents to feed a growing population.

The basic beats of her story is that Memories followed a philosophy that the People were a great plague upon nature and that before they may leave this realm, they must atone and fix the sins inflicted upon the natural world; pollution, genetic modification, habitat loss, all of that. as talk of ascension grew louder they turned to drastic measures to get their argument heard, which culminated in an act that killed many people and destroyed a very sacred building in Reed's city. For their crimes, Memories was forcibly dunked into the void and became an echo.

this sent Reeds into a spiraling depression, as since she was raised by Memories, she also follows their philosophy. she grew more and more distant and withdrawn from her people, nearly abandoning the great problem in pursuit of a new goal.

after the People ascended, she dropped the great problem altogether, solely focused on a singular goal; instead of leaving this world via ascension, reeds wants to return to the earth; to reunite with the soil from where the materials that constructed her came. they refuse to leave the world behind without trying everything she can to preserve its natural beauty, so she collects specimens in her greenhouse zoo and has been trying to reverse-engineer the modifications out of them. its a futile task, but it keeps her busy.

her can is overgrown with flora. the heavy rains and the already lush valley have generated a thick rainforest of out-of-control farm crops, weeds, and fungi to smother the valley. the mud is slowly being eroded away by the rain; its only a matter of time until her can collapses into the flooded valley below. her campaign would involve her precious child, the groundskeeper, to go on a journey to send a sos broadcast; an ultimately futile effort to stay alive.

i want to know if other neurodivergent folks can relate to this, so please like and/or reblog if you do.

i know we talk all the time about songs making our brains light up with blorbo-centric thoughts and feelings, but i have always sort of assumed that meant multiple songs. now, while i enjoy curating a WIP playlist as much as the next writer, what i’m actually wondering is:

does A Song ever just set off a whole story idea in your head?

you hear one song and the entire world, plot and all your characters spring to life in your mind with such vivacity, your head spins with it.

because that happens to me ALL. THE. TIME. when i was in my final year of high school in 2013, i first heard professional griefers by deadmau5 ft. gerard way (yes, that gerard way). i saw the music video and heard the song for the first time all at once and an apocalyptic, political sci-fi so intoxicating slammed into my body, i felt my soul leave me for a moment. i remember so vividly when this happened, too: i was at my final ever choir camp.

now, it’s 11 years later and that story never died for me. it was on the back burner for a long time, but because of the damn song, it never, ever left me. the current iteration of it is only the same as the first in very broad strokes, but i know i needed to grow a little more before taking this on. i feel ready now.

this self-same Song Thing happened for me with metric’s collect call and a different story i wrote. as long as i have the song, the story happens. conversely, without A Song, my stories die silent deaths. i simply can’t finish them.

YOUR MAIN HAS NO ASKS ON 😔 BUT TELL ME ABOUT "First Dream - ouuuh my cursed little bug guys.. my blorbos… my children… <333" PLLELEEEASE :3333

wahhh i keep forgetting i turned asks off but they're back on now! anyway my cursed little bug guys are my beautiful children, by which i mean my ocs!! They originated in from a dream I had back in 2020, and their story has gone through a lot of changes! Fair warning: This is a very long post and I'm sorry about that I was talking about them and then I just Kept Talking...

Their names are Anruna, Anliten, Revik, and Tirrow, and I am NOT going to rant about the etymology rn because i only have so much space but let it suffice to say that their names follow the general pattern of "sun or sky at the time of day they were born" + "quality you'd want a child to have" + (optional) "suffix affecting the quality".

Important worldbuilding: These are my bug guys bc their horns are sorta stag-beetle like and the world they live in has creatures that are all weird combination mammalian/insect. Also, time of day and what the sky looked like when they were born affects their skin tone!

... I lied I AM gonna tell you about the construction of their names. Since I have more about the characters than the story itself, (had to scrap the og storyline because younger me was. an interesting author), i'll put it in the section for each character!

Anruna:

Please ignore that I don't have colors for anything but her skin & hair, I'm still struggling with that (and taking color suggestions, please). Anyway, she's the Main Character! She's the eldest daughter of a very traditional (/neg) noble family, and constantly unsure of how much she believes in their views, values, and beliefs. She can do magic, because supposedly, it's a Gift From The Gods, and oooh she has SO many feelings about that, because she doesn't believe in the gods. Everything that's supposedly holy, she has found other explanations for, and she doesn't trust ANY of it. To make matters worse, the Religious Institution is of course enforcing traditions that she hates. Also, they killed her sister!

Directly from the google doc, these are my notes on her!

life is a balance. be the perfect child, be strong and bold and greater than, don’t be too much, don’t be better than those who raised you, who do you think you are? 

all your power, your wisdom, this is a blessing from the gods, this is something given to you, this is not your achievement, who do you think you are? 

and it’s hard. because you know none of it is true. but there’s nothing you can do. you are powerless, you are beholden to your family no matter how near to adulthood you may be. 

and you try to explain, to say, look, look at this proof that Revik and i have collected, we have figured it out, and they say, you are certainly mistaken, and we should have known that such a cursed man would be a heretic as well

As for her name, it's 3-part! "An" refers to the sun at dawn, "run" means glory, although more directly glory achieved by strength, and the suffix "a" or "ah" increases the strength of the word it's attached to. She was born just as dawn broke, so she gets the purple from the way the clouds look like then, her hair coloring from the sky, and her eye color from the sun! Her horns are sharp, tall, and angular, and don't stretch too far from past the width of her head.

Now, On to the next guy! Revik:

The second image is mostly there for color palette reasons, because ooh has this guy been through a lot of redesigning. I actually don't have any drawings rn of his most recent iteration, but let it suffice to say he is more injured than that! ALSO HE'S NOT THAT YOUNG! He's in his late 30s. I only recently improved at drawing older faces and my old sketches of him have him in his 20s and that's bad.

Anyway, this child of mine is a Scientist! He's studying what makes the world works the way it does, and while he does still believe in the gods, he thinks of them more as powerful mages that existed, once, than actual gods. Mostly because he's figured out why things happen! Fun fact: eclipses are a natural thing, not a curse from the gods!

Revik was born during an eclipse. That's what his name means, essentially! "Re" refers to the sun at noonish, and "vik" means absence, or without. This is a Bad Name. "Without" is not a quality, emptiness is not something one would want a child to posses.

He works for Anruna's family for a time as Anruna's tutor, after The Accident, because he doesn't have a lab anymore after The Accident. That's how they met!

The Accident: when Revik's life's work blew up on him and his apprentice, breaking his horns and injuring him severely.

Straight from the google doc, my terrible character notes:

woagh this baby is cursed :0 let's give him a short name that will immediately signal how little we think of him when he introduces himself <3

he does science! and sometimes science blows up in your face and gives you life-changing injuries because the first blast got your upper right (your right) chest and some of your lower arm joint stuff and then while you’re unconscious in the rubble of your laboratory that you spent years building the fire gets your leg and whoops! haha! you’re not okay! you can barely use that arm anymore! you need a cane now! (or that’s what you tell yourself, when you pretend it’s not worse, when you pretend you’re fine standing, because you need to be strong, you need to be more than what they think of you) and you have chronic pain! 

AND ISN’T THIS JUST PROOF THAT YOU’RE CURSED? you worthless bitch <3

also fun fact! he had an assistant with him at the time! While overall less deeply injured, the assistant lost an eye and their scars are more disfiguring. As a Result, Revik thinks of them as More Hurt and blames himself! And I mean, it is sort of his fault, to a degree?

On to the next of my children (wow this is getting long I am SO sorry) Anliten!

Heyy notice how she has the same prefix as Anruna? Well, that's because she's Anruna's (not actually) dead twin! Crazily enough, I have NO color drawings of her, so just imagine Anruna's color palette on her. Also, this is an older sketch!! Sorry it looks Like That. If you've noticed that these characters so far have all been thin and you're like hmmm.... :/ seems unhealthy... that's because I love drawing my blorbos at their worst! That IS unhealthy! They're not eating enough! Anruna has Religious Obligations and various other issues, Revik has no money, and Anliten has even less than no money!

I almost want to blur out the face on my sketch of her... ough... just imagine Anruna's face but angrier on there please.

She's wearing a lot of layers! That might seem expensive, but it's necessary because it gets cold where they live! Thats why so much of the fashion involves layering up.

Anyway, I am ashamed to admit that there's a gaping hole in the plot in between the stages of Anliten's life that are "she's Anruna's sister" and "she ends up on the streets", but I'm thinking she got disowned for heresy. The idea was, for her "family", that she was a spare and it was okay to disown her for that since it set a) it example for Anruna and b) having a heretic child Looks Bad (jokes on them in a few years). I don't have a lot on her childhood mainly because that's not the Main Focus of her character. The Main Focus of her character is her attempts to become a god!

So remember when I said that Revik believed the gods to be closer to incredibly (magically) powerful historical figures? HE'S RIGHT. Remember when I mentioned that his life's work blew up? He was trying to recreate similar levels of power. And it's technically possible! Enter Anliten, freshly disowned, seething with rage, and willing to do whatever she can to become as powerful as she can possibly be!

Straight from my other notes on her, rambling thoughts on her situation!

Living on the streets at a young age with no way to get a job means one turns to crime! Turning to crime can be hard at first! You can get caught! And what happens when you get caught? They cut off your horns to mark you as a criminal forever and now you’ll never be able to freaking GET a job because you’re forever marked a crook and wouldn’t you know it that means you have no choice but to keep doing crime!

And this place is All That You Are, All That You Will Ever Be

She’s going to show them. When she is the embodiment of all that they worship, she’ll show them.

Her name, Anliten, is three parts! "An" is the same as her twin's name, means "sun at dawn", "lit" means wisdom, and "en" is a suffix making the previous word holy, or marking it as a blessing of some kind. Her name could be translated as "blessed wisdom" or "blessing of wisdom".

Anyway, is this getting long? So sorry. JUST ONE MORE GUY, I PROMISE.

Tirrow:

Okay so this is where my art of these guys gets really embarrassing, (which is tbh why i've been saving him for last) because I don't draw this guy a lot and so my sketches of him are straight from my "draw everyone young & skinny" era, and I need you to know. HE IS NOT BUILT LIKE THAT. NOR DOES HE SMILE LIKE THAT. AUGH. HE'S NOT A TWINK I PROMISE. He's strong and actually looks like it!

The pencil sketch is the more recent one, and he retains the wide horns and relative lack of ornamentation from there, the only thing he's keeping from the second pic is skin tone.

Okay I know I just said but I cannot emphasize enough: these drawings are NOT currently accurate. They're him 2 steps to the left. Maybe it's him from when he was younger and didn't have any fat or muscle. The guy in the drawings looks 20 and that's because at the time, my idea of Tirrow was around that age. THAT IS NOT THE CASE NOW. He's around Revik's age (late 30s-early 40s).

So this guy. He's... not really a great person. When he was young, he took a job in the military, and through a series of increasingly unlikely "coincidences" in which his whole squad dies but him, people start to say he's lucky to survive! Blesssed, even! And he goes along with it because otherwise, it means he's cursed. Cursed to get those he loves killed, cursed to be the only one left to bear witness, cursed to suffer.

Other than that, he also goes with it because he needs to be someone. Without this, he's no one and nothing. Without this, his father is just some faceless nobody who abandoned his child out of cowardice, and the ring he left is just some petty trinket and not a mark of blessing. But at the same time, wouldn't a god have been able to come back? Or are he and his mother just not good enough for that?

Now, here's what Tirrow doesn't know. The "token" his father left does have magic in it! His piece of shit father did leave out of cowardice though, and had no idea the ring was magic. Powerful magic, too! The kind of magic that will, say, deflect blades away from the wearer. Make the fire burn just a little less hot against their skin. Clear just a little smoke from their lungs. Not a lot, but enough to save a life! Enough to save a life over and over and over, until people start to notice.

His name is less fancy, only two parts! It's from "Tie", meaning "sky at noon" and "row" for strength.

AAAAAND that's all!!! I could say more about the language and the plot scraps I have and other stuff but to be honest I'm really tired of typing (actually had to type this in 3 separate sessions augh it's so long). I hope you enjoyed hearing about my ocs!!

I'm the only one that ships this as far as I know but it rocks anyways. 🌼 Blitzwing X Blackarachnia (TFA): Think about the body horror discussions they could have, man. Additionally, she made him Like That according to the Allspark Almanac. Like HELLO. Someone had to suggest it at least. It'll be me I'm chill with that. Side note for persuasion purposes: they're also mostly dressed in the asexual colors. Hell yeah!!!

Scenario: all your OCs are a pirate crew, who does what role and what shenanigans might they all get up to?

Hahaha, oh, that is fun ^^ Let's see, let's put together my OCs but also my blorbos who are 90 % OCs. Hmmm, Lum (I am using his WoW iteration) here would be the one who does a lot of the fighting but also keeps the ship clean. Nobody is having to sit on a dirty ship! It's clean! Ah, there is blood after a fight? No there isn't anymore! Kuro has the role to look sexy and suggestive to get unsuspecting ships in. He is basically the siren. Hey, he could be REALLY a siren in this AU. Nobody said it cannot be fantasy. So, Kuro is a siren. And yeah, he exists in WoW too, as a priest. (Yes, because I found the thought of a sex positive priest funny) Tempest is in charge of the cooking. Lum sometimes helps. But Tempest usually cooks for everyone, so he rarely needs to help. More time for cleaning! Ornstein is also mainly doing fighting and for some reason, he also became the captain. He doesn't know why, but he always has good ideas and he can lead people. He refuses to get rid of his armour though and the rest of the crew fears that he will drown in it one day. Rispale (FF14 OC) is utterly useless because all he does is getting sea sick. A shame because he is super strong and would be a nice addition during a fight, but he cannot muster any fight if he pukes his guts out most of the time. Laurence is in charge of the treasures. Nobody thinks it is a good idea to let him have control over their finances. They are right. He also falls for every cursed artifact and has amassed quite a collection of them.

GO was originally meant to be a really shy and socially awkward character, but over time they've lost the shyness and gained a lot of spunkiness (still socially awkward tho, I don't think I have a single oc who is actually good at talking to people (like me haha)) She also has ✨trauma✨ and also ✨abandonment issues✨ and also ✨severe anxiety✨ and also ✨self deprecation in favor of helping others issues✨ But i'll avoid going too deep into all of that unless you guys want me to (for now)

Oceans is really into archiving and data collection because of one experience they had a few cycles after her activation. They were working on a speculative theory regarding the intricacies of the karmic system when she was made blatantly aware of the gaps in the global information network. GO had been trying to find any information on whether or not other organisms were familiar with the concept of karma, but there simply was no data out there. This caused them to go down a bit of a hyperfixation rabbit trail, trying to find as many gaps in the archives as possible. Their ancients were all pretty checked out, so they all kinda just let her do her own thing.

Unfortunately, Glittering Oceans is located... in the middle of an ocean... so they can't do a lot of their own research. Because of this her personal project mostly involves sending out an absolute shit ton on overseers to collect data on anything and everything so they can continue to update the global network for everyone. If any ancient or iterator happens to google some obscure fact, there is an approximately 25% chance that information exists because of Oceans.

This is why they have so many different types of overseers!! I currently have designs for six overseer types of hers (I'm thinking bout giving them a seventh tho) They have regular ol' overseers, overseers made for precise data collection, overseers that are capable of transporting pearls and manipulating objects, overseers that boost the broadcasting signals of other overseers, overseers that help keep her structure maintained, and overseer overseers-- ones that she can project her consciousness into like their puppet and thus monitor all of that juicy data collection

i have so much more to talk about her and their local group members but this is already pretty chunky so I'll maybe save that

Please don't vote for Mob in the upcoming Mob vs. Shallan Davar/Veil/Radiant dissociation swag poll!

Beloved mutuals, I write today to make a desperate plea for Squimbo From My Polls, as I threatened to do earlier. This is relatively unimportant and I need to be working on homework right now but this matters, To Me.

You see, Shallan, and Veil, and Radiant, my girls, my beloved, my collective poor little meow meow, soon face Shigeo Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100 in @dissociationswagcompetition's tumblr poll bracket. And folks, I love both of these blorbos. I really do. But Mob does not deserve to beat Shallan and Veil and Radiant! Shallan specifically here is the QUEEN of dissociating! And she's swagful! She deserves to sweep this entire bracket! However, the Stormlight Archive fandom is a fairly small one, and Mob Psycho's is... not. Do you know the post that's about Squimbo from an obscure manga from 2004 vs Pikachu, where Pikachu wins based on pure name recognition? I fear an impending situation like that when Shallan's system absolutely DESERVES to sweep. Friends, I know we all like Mob. I ask you to listen to my plea and vote for Shallan's system instead.

Let me start with the obvious. The mostly non-spoilery. To start, Shallan, Veil, and Radiant are a canon DID system. Yes, canon DID, that's not demonized and is accurately, fairly represented! They aren't side characters, either; Shallan's system is arguably one of the two most main characters in a book series with a very large cast! It's awesome! And Shallan, to be clear, has dissociation issues besides purely being part of a DID system as well. She is constantly emotionally dissociating to cope with life. It gives her significant memory trouble. She dissociates hard and constantly and her mental illnesses are a significant part of the narrative. And let me re-iterate: Shallan's system is so so swagful. Shallan is quippy and funny and smart, Veil is an utter badass spy, and Radiant is a master swordswoman. So much swag.

Plus, she does the whole bottling up emotions thing. I get that that's why Mob is in this poll probably and let me tell you: she does all that and more. She deserves this win.

This enough should be enough information to vote for her, but I want to give specific examples, and that gets into spoiler territory. So, a cut is in order.

TO START I want to say that Shallan dissociates so hard that the count of people that she murdered and then forgot about murdering is up to FOUR!! FOUR PEOPLE. She dissociates so hard her dissociation has a body count. All were very necessary murders which is why I do not consider this demonization. Her motives were incredibly understandable, such as self defense or necessary to save the world. Does not change the fact that she entirely forgot about them.

Also. She does not remember like half of her childhood at least, during which some of those murders took place! It is commonly suspected that she probably has more people she's killed under her belt and we just don't know about it because she forgot about them. Very little is known about Shallan's past in general because she dissociated too hard and doesn't remember it. She managed to acquire a shardblade, one of the most powerful weapons in the setting, and forgot how she got it.

Also!! She's very avoidant of things that are trauma triggers, especially if they threaten to make her remember stuff she's suppressed. It's very significant because Pattern, her spren, keeps trying to get her to confront her past and move on, and she keeps fighting this every single book. This is an ongoing, deep internal conflict, and not something brushed under the rug.

Finally: this system is so swagful guys. They She got stabbed and thrown into a room full of corpses, experienced The Horrors as they were being carried there, and still got up to continue their mission later, over the course of which they took a crossbow bolt to the head and acted like it was totally fine and the others were crazy for being worried about them, and they pulled it out solely because they couldn't talk around it. PLUS they magicked up an entire army once. Also, she's witty, and always has a quip, and she's married to another swagful guy, AND she and her husband would be down for a polyamorous triad with Kaladin if he was, which he sadly isn't. So much swag.
