Stitch uses any pronouns, but they/them is a preferred one.

They are aroace.

The place they live in is called "Treatment space"(the info on what it is will be elaborated on sometime later). It is accessible for anyone in Omega Timeline at any given point through a door. But it can also be accessed from anywhere if you have one of 2 special keys: small red key that will create a door for 1 person leading to the Treatment Space or the bigger dark red key that will create a much bigger door, also leading to the Treatment Space(backyard). Keys can be mostly found in Omega Timeline, but some are scattered throughout the Multiverse.

They mimic the voice according to the form they have at the moment. So Sans' voice for a form of Sans, etc.

For all the different parts of plush bodies and clothes, there is a separate big room in Treatment Space.

Stitch doesn't need to sleep, eat, or drink.

Their most preferred forms are Toriel(convenience) and Sans(frequency of use).

The forms they don't like to use the most are the ones that are small(like Temmie, annoying dog, Flowey, etc.)

IF IT WASNT CLEAR BY THE SPIKE IN FOUR SWORDS CONTENT ITS BEEN ON MY MIND LATELY!!! so obviously that means the obligatory redesigns >:) I tried not to play too far into the stereotypes (not that there's anything wrong in indulging in those!!... i did throw in headcanons tho, like heightened and dulled senses... ill explain dw)

we'll start with shadow since I kinda forgot to draw him initially, lol. sorry buddy 😥 I gave him a shard of the mirror as a means of being able to exist. he can still float around and slip into the shadows and all, but he's not as powerful as he was when the mirror was full. (his ego definitely still is big though) he's not fond of chainmail despite the rest of the four and Link wearing it. his tunic mirrors what links would've looked like. any triforce motifs appearing upside-down and little swirl on his belt backward since he's from the Dark World and all that jazz. silly stuff. I kept it relatively simple since I doubt Link is very over the top, and Shadow has no sense of bodily autonomy at that point (he would so have an over the top outfit, let's be real) Obviously he gets along well with Vio, but he and Blue banter quite a bit. Sure, both mistakenly get offended sometimes but it's all in good fun! His hair looks a little more rounded here, but it's usually more flowey and sticks up every which way. unruly hair for an unruly boy. shadow loves quality time!!! what could be better than hanging out with those you love and burning down towns??? okay, void the town burning.

Red's design is also fairly simple: longer skirt, exposed chainmail, sleeved tunic, and a rounded collar. he has a rounder shape language (not that I paid too much attention to it, obviously) his hat curls up where the elemental stone is at. no one understands how it does this. Red thinks it's some knick knack he stored in there. UNNATURALLT WARM. like. concerningly warm. He's their magic user, preferring to use his magic rod over his sword (honestly, probably could wipe the floor with the other three if given a good magic item, but don't tell them that)(and yes im calling it a magic rod cuz it shoots fire and ice) Poor Red got the short end of the stick with poor hearing but great taste buds. He's a foodie at heart and it's obvious why. His hair is a lot fluffier and rounder than the other three, matching his soft and bubbly personality. Not a pant wearer. Obviously he has the magic rod and slingshot, but i also gave him the Bombos medallion since its an item in the FSA game. Green suggested they split the loot evenly. No. He's not allowed to use it. Yes, he's accidentally blown up a lot of things with it. That's why hes not allowed to use it. definitely a physical touch kinda love language guy. you know exactly why. impulsive spender. has quite a few burn scars from learning to use the fire rod. most of his tunics are a little singed, but he keeps some neat

ah, Green, the resident insomniac. usually that's Vio's role, but you cannot tell me this guy didn't get Link's terrible sleeping habits. he constatly looks sleep deprived in some compacity, but he's getting better! sure, it usually means someone has to hold him down until he sleeps but hey! better than nothing! his tunic matches most Links with the sleeved overtunic and collared undershirt. he uses he sword quite often, having the most finesse with the weapon out of the group. occasionally he'll bust out the boomerang. sort of the unofficial leader, keeping the group on track, but is always open to suggestions from the rest of the Colors. I gave him the Pegasus boots, since I'd assume they all don't get the loot they would've picked up along the way. His element is wind, so it felt the most fitting he had them. his hair is a little messy, and sure he sometimes has a stick in there, but he does his best to keep it combed. Despite his drowsiness, he's got sharp eyes (the best in the group, as a matter-of-fact!) Unfortunately, his sense of smell is lacking (but clearly he has it a lot better than Red does. I mean, seriously, id take hawkeyes over tasteaholic any day). Hes a little shit when playing Ispy; typically picking really tiny things and reveling in the fact no one can guess it. his elemental stone is attatched to his belt even though its a place it can get easily lost. somehow he has yet to lose it. the back problems arise from Link, mostly, though his isnt as bad as Vio's (maybe because hes not slouched over a desk half the time, but i digress) Typically level headed and focused, keeping the group moral high with Red (aka, keeping Vio and Blue's moral high because they tend to be more pessimistic) (well, Vio considers himself a realist and Blue is Blue)

since i dont consider Shadow that much of an idiot, Vio probably had to actually stab Green to make it look convincing. While the scar isn't big, there's once on his lower abdomen from the Four Sword. They didn't have any health potions, so they had to go back down the mountain to get him help. Green holds no resentment, knowing Vio did what had to be done to gain the enemies trust. the cheek scar is from the pyramid cuz there aint no way he got out of that unscathed fighting against Valenzuela. more of a words of affirmation guy, but enjoys quality time like the rest of them.

Vio is obviously their whittier member. honestly, if he were to be described in DnD stats, he'd have a high intelligence and a medium wisdom because man is this man stupid sometimes. he's not as outwardly arrogant as Blue, at least, not as loud with it. his clothes are usually wrinkled, being more focused on bookwork than much else (this pisses Blue off to no end, being the neat freak he is) despite this, his room is the definition of organized chaos. he knows where everything is, and if you move something, he will not be happy. also not a pant wearer, his tunic has a longer skirt than the others and his sleeves are a lot looser. his hair tends to droop into his eyes and somehow this has yet to get in the way. he prefers to pick off enemies from afar as the team's bowsman. amazing aim and a very steady hand. while he doesn't have as big of a magic reserve as Red, he can still use elemental arrows (probably in the same way as in WindWaker) strangely bad at math (simply because i find it amusing) and is pissed that Blue is good at is (again, because i find it amusing. it freaks Blue out) Vio is more of an acts of service kind of guy, but like everyone else enjoys quality time. especially when it's quiet quality time. impuslive spender, mostly on books. everyone else insists he uses the library, but he argues its different when you own the book. impecible hearing, cannot taste shit. it makes eating rations easier, but sadly cannot enjoy the nicer foods in life, so he tends to choose things based on texture. Got the brunt of the back pain, but makes it worse with how he sits and for how long he does. honestly has a weird complex where he thinks of himself as superior to the rest in a way, yet also manages to struggle to fit in and hates himself for it. not explicitly touch avoident, but hes not one to seek out physical affection often and tends to be one of the first to push Red off (other than Blue) his stone is pined to his bow holster since he tends to always have it on him, he wont lose it that way. the fact that the rest have theirs in such irresponsible spots upsets him. refuses to sleep until he's done something he considers productive.

last but not least: Blue! my favorite guy!! god what a prick, i hate him. his design is a lot more knightly with more chainmail and a brutish sort of look. he's intimidating alright, even at his 4'11 stature. look. hylians are short. his hair is spikey like his personality and his hat is more angular (mostly cuz he folds it everynight. theres permanent crease marks in it) ends up with the most scaring thanks to his irrisponsible sparing and little use of healing potions (yet despite this, he's the group medic) the nick in his ear was from some random enemy camp that he just ignored for a while. I never said he was a responsible medic when it came to himself. hes mean, sure, but hes trying. just a little blunt. okay, very blunt. very blunt and very angry. hear me out: mom friend. if that mom was divorced and had anger issues. he knows the others are fully capible of handling themselves, cuz if he survives, why shouldn't they? despite that, he still worries. I know that it says his left eye is blind, but he can still see some color, its just reaaal blurry. does anyone know that? only red. will he tell anyone else? not unless he has to. does he run into shit when hes not paying attention. sometimes, yeah. to top it off, he - like red - got the short stick with shit vision but a heightened sense of smell. he can smell a monster camp from up to a mile away. impressive, right? dont tell him that. this boy has a lot of injury issues, being as reckless as he is. the knee injury was from a particularly nasty moblin (possibly the same as where the eye scar came from. who knows? he wont tell) and got worse as it got ignored. look, when you're the medic, you gotta make sure everyone else is okay before you. at least, thats how Blue sees it. not to even mention the nerve damage from being frozen for god knows how long. I don't know about you, but (assuming it was a Wizrobe) being magically frozen has its side effects. so what hes a walking icepack (exaggerating, but he's cold enough outwardly that you can feel it) and so what his hair grows in a few shades lighter than everyone elses? they don't gotta know why or when or how or even that it happens. the hair dye is stashed under his bed and he will die if anyone finds out. it reeeally fucked with his magic, seeing as hes associated with the water element.. do green and vio know about any of this? nope. red was sworn (read: threatened) to silence. probably the most physically fit when split, and makes sure to take good care of his body. he likes to push himself, hence the ankle weights. always has to be doing something productive. hes their financial guy, somehow having the least impuslive spending habits. will typically only spend on necessary things. gets mad at the others for buying egregiously expensive recreational shit. (that umbrella shadow has? yeah. expensive as hell. he was not happy) the most touch avoident of the bunch. unexpectedly, blue is a gift giving guy. he gets embarassed about it when you question it, or even when hes giving it to you, but yeah. he likes giving things to people and then will throw insults at their face. not in a mean way. in a "im embarassed and you suck so shut up" way. quality time is something he enjoys as well, liking to spar with his brothers often. can easily master a lot of melee weapons, its impressive, but cannot for the life of him make anything else work. his stone was made into an earring, and despite vio's complaints, he usually knows when its missing.

One thing I think I just realized is, in addition to being dissatisfied with how stories deal with Toriel’s grief compared to Asgore’s and Asriel’s, and how I don’t see many instances of Toriel and Asgore’s quarrel being addressed in a way that satisfied me... I don’t think I see that many AUs that quite get the responsibility Asgore feels... right.

Yes, I’ve seen several that portray his grief, depression, and how badly he doesn’t want to be in this position well, even if it’s disappointing how not everyone seems to be aware of what you learn about him in a Neutral run where you’ve previously killed Flowey. A lot of people can get aspects of his characterization very well, the broken man, the goofy dad, the intimidating monarch. But I think the reason I don’t see people capture the weight of his responsibility quite as well in fanfics and comics is... well. Oddly enough it’s in the way the monsters treat him.

It’s not just the fandom that has issues with idolizing or demonizing characters. It’s also the Kingdom of Monsters themselves--and they all idolize Asgore. Yes, he’s a very grounded and compassionate individual who invites his subjects to share all their problems with him, and who Papyrus insists will just let you pass through the Barrier. But he’s also a bit of the subject of a cult of personality for his subjects. When they say he’ll absorb seven souls and become a GOD, it’s not an expression of his arrogance, but rather their own adoration. While out-of-universe the Angel is generally agreed to be either Asriel or Chara(or us), in-universe I wouldn’t be surprised if Asgore was considered the Angel.

It’s not long now. King Asgore will let us go. King Asgore will give us hope. King Asgore will save us all.

Yes, individual monsters may want to collect a human soul for their own individual wants and desires. But it’s only the capture of a human soul, or using a single soul for their own benefit, that they really aspire to. (With the exception of Toriel, who wants no souls, and Flowey, who is Flowey.) Of those area bosses who earnestly try to take just one soul, Papyrus and Undyne both want to hand you over to Asgore, and Mettaton wants to protect humanity FROM Asgore. Literally everyone in the Underground seems to fully believe that Asgore will be the one taking all the Souls and fulfilling his promises, and all are content. (Again, barring Toriel, MTT, Flowey.) No one seems to ever doubt he’ll do as he says, even his ex-wife, and no one’s greedy to take the power for themselves or take the burden of being a savior for themself, except his kid who has both a God Complex and a Savior Complex.

With Chara, and with Asgore. They take a person and turn them into a representation of something More than any singular person could ever be. And then in the worst route Chara does it again, to themself. Asgore is freedom and salvation and retribution itself, and everyone including the woman who was once married to him agrees and reinforces the role. Chara is the feeling of a number going up, and the fandom agrees and reinforces the role.

And I dunno. There are fics and AUs where Asgore never lost his kids and always remained an affable, friendly guy. There are AUs where Asgore is the main antagonist and an awful villain with few redeeming qualities. There are fics and AUs where Asgore gets to recover in a post-pacifist setting. But I’m not sure any fics or AUs have ever quite captured how everyone else just talks about the guy, for me. Toriel is simply ‘intimidating’. But Asgore is a GOD.

"What do you mean?" Clover as always questioned with few words and kept their voice as quiet as it always was.

"Really?? I didn't take you as the cruel type Clover" Flowey bitterly said mocking the kid "You know what i mean! Ruin my reputation, tell the truth, how i am the little tragic prince from the tragic royal family" the flower continued morphing his face to mimic that of the old prince to further drive his point.

Clover shrugged and turned to see his friend "I don't see it necessary" he said with a definitive tone that left no doubt, that he was saying it with their whole chest.

"…." Flowey didn't really answer for a few moments and just with a small chuckle ended with "heh..i really hate you best friend."

Greetings! This is the first time I ever prepare an event, so trust me I will not be any good at it, but I really love Papyrus and I’ve always wanted to participate in a week appreciation about him, so I might as well make one myself!

The tag for this event will be #papyrusweek2023 and it will start on April 16 and end on April 22

-This event is for Undertale Papyrus, you can include your own version of Deltarune Papyrus too, but I would prefer the focus wasn't on AUs. However, Papyrus redesigns or human versions of the character are the exception, absolutely post these if you want!

-I want to keep this event sfw, please don't post any suggestive or nsfw content in the papyrus week tag

-Please I ask that you do not draw yellowface Frisk and/or Kris if you include either of them

-No misgendering of characters, not any erasure of characters’s canon identities, no bigotry or hate of any kind

-If you make content about the no mercy run or a couple of neutral runs do tag it properly, it can be upsetting to see for some people

-Of course, inc*st and p*dophilia are not allowed, get out of here. Yes, this includes Frisk and Chara, they are children. April 16, day 1: Hobbies and Jobs

Let's start with an easy one: Papyrus's interest in puzzles, cooking and the royal guard! Papyrus cares deeply about anything he is interested in, even beyond the examples I just mentioned (being cool online, cars, etc). There is even a possibility for him to be The Monster Ambassador! Lots of things to choose, pick whichever you want!

  April 17, day 2: Battles

You're blue now, that's his attack. Papyrus's fight is really interesting isn't it? He has so many cool attacks, he's the only monster able to not kill you, and he might be incredibly strong...? It's a shame we couldn't see his special blaster attack, but if you want you want, you could show us! Or maybe even more interesting ideas for different Papyrus battles! Or simply appreciate the one we have and listen to Bonetrousle all day

  April 18, day 3: Family

Papyrus has a really cool brother, not as cool as he is but still pretty great. Some say he might also have a mysterious scientist dad/grand father/brother.....? We don't know much but that sounds pretty great too!

  April 19, day 4: Friendship

Papyrus wants to be popular, popular, popular! But perhaps what's most important is the friends that care about you for who you really are. And luckily, Papyrus has found friends like that along the way!

  April 20, day 5: Give up giving up

Papyrus is a character that has been very misunderstood in the past, from being reduced to a comic relief to being seen as nothing but an innocent naive character. But Papyrus is a very complex character: he has insecurities, he has flaws, he believes in kindness no matter what, and there are just a lot of things we don't know about him. For some reason we haven't seen him in Deltarune yet...? While we wait for him, let's show everyone how interesting Papyrus is!

Help wanted!

Hello! I’m Univer, creator of “Underfell?”! Yes, the question mark is part of the name.

I’ve also created the aus @hellspawntale-rebooted, @univer-underswap, and @ut-anomalous.

But, did you know, 3 out of these 4 AUs are actually OVERHAULS of old ones?

Yeah. Hellspawntale was originally REALLY BORING. The characters had like, no personality. But then, a year after the original, I started Hellspawntale Rebooted. (And finished it a few months back. The story has been continuing via Askblog ever since.)

Univer’s Underswap and Underfell? Are also rehauls of my old takes of Underswap and Underfell, which were really, REALLY bad.

But there’s one thing Hellspawntale Rebooted has that the other 3 don’t.

A completed (ish) Story.

The rest are kinda too big scaled for me to handle alone. Why? Well..

For Univer’s Underswap, it’s kinda hard for me to make battle sprites, cuz I’m just so used to overworlds and all that stuff.

For Undertale Anomalous, battle sprites are fine, cuz they’re all deltarune styled battles, but the MAPS are all different from Undertale, and I can’t really make maps.

For Underfell?, battle sprites like Univer’s Underswap, but also kinda maps too.

And don’t even get me STARTED on Music. The team has ONE musician. Granted, they’re actually really good at it, but still. One isn’t enough for like, 3 AUs.

Art? Unfortunately, I suck at normal art. Just SUCK.

Ever since I became aware of Undertale i knew/know that some people here are simps for the lazybones that is sans thy skeleton. But ever since yesterday( or at least when i was checking a blog who's pretty prominent in the 'Bitty Bones' au stuff ) i now know a certain trend some people tend to use for their boney fantasies - 'Bara' sans. And then I had an idea. After a night and a morning passed with me brainstorming in the seams, i now have made a semi-sh1tpost, semi-genuine response AU to that trend :

The 'When Skeletons eat Bonemeal' au.

The basic idea is the following :

In another post-true pacifist world, Flowey tries to to a lil' trollin' by poisoning sans with a poison lasted ketchup bottle with a poison that Flowey made himself, but sans knew before hand, so he decided to swap an ingredient with magic liquid(-ish) bonemeal. On top of that he knew what would come out of it, which is a fcking growth serum AND he was secretly getting tiered of being the second to shortest person of the cast, he just didn't expect the side effects. Those side effects being the end result of 22 ft, clothes being effected, energy, power and magic multiplication, sudden medium burst of productivity, constant fever and slight mutation. Now the rest of the UT cast, along with a newly free [from thy void] Gaster, Dess from Deltarune and lil' ol' me, has to deal with a big ass skeleton.

Oh, the multiverse, omniverse( multiverse of fandoms w/multiverses ) and the webscape( the internet if it was a world of it's own and where 4th wall entities like me( viewers, content creators, gamers, players, ect. ) usually reside in ) are also sorta involved, which explains why core!Frisk, @ranboolivesaysstuff and fcking Charlie slimesicle have a cameo here -

[context of the cameo doodle - it's a protentional bit were i was unexpectedly visited by some MC-youtubers and i had to explain what the fck is up. During said explanation i accidently made a size pun, which made Charlie amused, in an annoying way. What did our gloopy glunkus guy do next - he bothered me for more size puns while trying to make his own. I also hid in a tree at some point and pretty much claimed it as a resting spot.]

So yeah, an undertale au with a giant/tiny sorta theme, which is also a response to the 'Bara sans' concept.

Okay . Okay guys listen. I think Asriel is a bit of a bitch and sometimes even an asshole. I’m soooo tired of revived!Asriel content portraying him as an uwu softboygoodboy all the time because. Up until the VERY END even when he got his body back, Asriel is MEAN! And a little violent!!! He and flowey are the SAME PERSON!!!! i’ve seen one to many “memes” calling flowey homophobic, transphobic, etc.

which is one of the most stupid evaluations of his character i’ve ever seen. “hey, this guy’s kinda mean, he must be a transphobe!”

no. never. i hope we as a fandom can get at least this thing straight. flowey can be a horrible, annoying, and yes, murderous person. but it’s completely out of character for him to, for instance, misgender someone.

first off. as far as i can tell, any kind of queerphobia is unheard of in the underground. being queer is commonplace, possibly even part of some monsters’ (ghosts) biology. if there’s any form of discrimination, it’s considered completely odd, likely disgraceful.

second. chara. it is highly probable that chara was mistreated in part (or even wholly) because they were nonbinary. and though they never told asriel why they hated humanity, they did tell him why they came down that mountain. they must have given him some of the details.

flowey would be more likely to kill an enbyphobe than become one.

i haven’t seen a lot of content like this, fortunately, but i do wonder how many people actually believe flowey would act like that for a second.

Introduction to Undertale Magenta!

(This article of the Undertale Magenta blog was written by pastalight, the director and main composer for the project. They are the primary author on this blog, though others may make appearances.)

Undertale Magenta is a fan-game that aims to tell the story of the fallen child who bears the Perseverance SOUL. They will meet much of monsterkind along the way, and, depending on your actions, may majorly change the course of history.

Undertale Magenta began development in August of 2023, initially intended to be a musical project titled "Notes of Perseverance." (I thought the name was really clever at the time.)

As more story ideas came into my mind, though, I began to see more of a vision...and by the end of the year, after releasing some of my music, Unsweet had joined me to help turn it into a game. By now, our team has grown substantially, and development is going rather well.

The game is planned to have a demo, however it is not currently planned for a specific date.

What's new?

Being a prequel, it is fair to ask what we will be bringing to the table. To answer that, we do have quite a lot of unique content planned for the game.

While I'll avoid major spoilers for the game, I can show you some concept art we've drawn for a brand-new area that will be featured in the demo: Myco Island!

(Well, in truth, it's more of an archipelago, but oh well...)

Aside from new areas, the game will generally contain a unique cast of characters.

Some of these were characters with a minor role in Undertale, such as Gerson Boom, while others are completely unique.

In general, the game follows in Undertale's footsteps while remaining distinct enough. You will see familiar locations and some familiar faces, but overall much of the content is original.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Is this game official?

A: No. We are not affiliated with Toby Fox, or anybody on Deltarune's team. Thankfully, Toby Fox is alright with fangames, so there won't be issues regarding us making Magenta.

Q: Is this connected to Undertale Yellow? Will it have any of its characters, or be in the same timeline?

A: No. The game may be comedically referenced, but treat it as a comedic nod. They are not canonically connected.

Q: Is Flowey in the story?

A: No. We have designed a new main villain, who I'm hoping will turn out very well. They are a character unique to Magenta.

Q: When does this take place?

A: A few decades before Undertale. Gerson is not retired, and a majority of Undertale's cast will not return. However, some of the family of current characters are around. This includes Deltarune characters, such as Alvin, Gerson's son.

Q: What gender is Mauvet?

A: Genderless. They're not intended to be the player's gender, rather are consistently devoid of it. This is because they're too focused on being a genius to have a gender.

(That was a joke. They're still genderless.)

Q: Is this game intended to be canon?

A: It is supposed to be a prequel to Undertale, however it is not trying to be total canon. Inevitably, the game can diverge in one way or another, and for all intents and purposes, this is an AU.

Q: When is the demo releasing?

A: No specific date yet, but we're optimistic that it'll be soon.

Q: Will there be a genocide route?

A: You are able to take many paths in this game, some of which are more immoral than the others.

Q: Is Muffet related to the story at all?

A: Yes! Undertale Magenta features multiple spider characters, two of which are her parents. She is not born yet, but her life is impacted by the events of the game.

Q: What are some of the inspirations for this game?

A: Aside from the obvious Toby Fox works, I would say that the Mario RPG games, the Legend of Zelda franchise, Sea of Stars, Celeste, OneShot, Touhou and Homestuck are very major inspirations that you will likely be able to feel in UTM.

Some have asked me if Undertale Yellow inspired its creation, and, to be frank, it didn't. While I absolutely respect its creators, the concept of a short Undertale-themed music album about the Perseverance child came about before I'd learned of Yellow's existence.

Red is NOT the true color of Determination? An investigation about Undertale lore (Part 4)

Greetings everyone. Welcome to the fourth and final part of my investigation about Undertale lore. If, by any chance, this is the first part you stumble upon, here's a summary of what is happening. These posts are a full-on investigation about the color of Determination and how it may not be red. During the last part, I've shown how common red is in Undertale, and how not everything may be related to Determination, with some more detailed explanations.

Each part of this investigation, due to the full one being too long and to stay consistent with the separation of the parts of the investigation, is its own Tumblr post. It is recommended to read them in order. This post, especially, will talk a lot about the previous parts. Here are PART 1, PART 2, PART 3 Unlike the other parts, this one delves more into theory content that I'll try to argue for and against. I will try to find another possible color than red for Determination, assuming it has any. I will not be talking about any other Determination color theory, since it would be too long. Also, I haven't invented this theory. What color could Determination be? Well, before even answering that question, it will be very important to give one base. The most determined being in the Underground is the one that can SAVE, LOAD, and RESET. Sounds obvious, doesn't it? Do you even remember where it's confirmed? Well here it is:

Yes, Flowey's backstory. This is where it's confirmed. The confirmations that Determination is related to SAVEs, LOADs, and RESETs will be important later. Now what is the color I want to talk about? Well it's gold. It's probably not the first time you hear of it, but I'll try to push it a little further. Now I will be honest. Gold is a shade of yellow in terms of coloring. The difference between yellow text and gold text is not that easy to see. And I'm not the best at recognizing shades. However, that difference, after looking, it seems to me that it actually exists. But still, let's talk about things that are either yellow or specifically gold, and not justice-related. First of all, let's see what appeared with yellow or gold on the images sent on the previous parts (besides those that will be relevant later). Don't forget that multiple shades of yellow appear throughout these screenshots. The list is: -Frisk's skin -Monster Kid's sprite -The doors to the Snowed Inn and the Snowdin Shop -The cheese -The health bar -The encounter buttons when you're on them -The WARNING text during the Flowey fight -The yellow key Some are obviously yellow just because they're associated with that color (cheese, yellow key), and other ere most likely random design choices (Monster Kid, Alphys, Frisk's skin, the doors). The rest may have a meaning. Now there is actual text that may be actually intended to be gold. Like red and white, gold text seems to appear quite a bit in Undertale, though less commonly than both of them.

Papyrus actually uses gold text. I will not talk about the special attack specifically and reunite all of the texts since they seem to be gold all for the same reason. Those are cases of two things we've seen in part 3 as red for importance being colored as gold for importance. This is a flaw with my theory, since gold is not exclusive to Determination, like I made you understood red was. However, stick with me, I will explain why gold specifically later. Before that, I would like to talk about one special text in particular.

The spare names are stated as yellow by this Froggit. They can also be made pink. And while they're as such unrelated to gold by text confirmation, I think it is important enough to be talked about. Also, due to this, I will affiliate special credits texts if you spared enemies with yellow instead of gold, though the rest I will not try to assume anything. Now why am I talking about gold being related to Determination since the beginning of this post? Well there are three reasons for that.

This is the first reason. Entry 5 of the True Lab. What's interesting in here is that it's the only color we see used for Determination (as far as I've investigated, and there's plenty of images I haven't shown just because I can't post more than thirty images per post). It's also the only colored text of all of the entries, interestingly enough. Of course, this may denote importance, but this is the only time (again, as far as I've found) where it's colored, much unlike Papyrus's special attack or Asgore. So it is less likely and it could have the specific importance. But still, unlike red, it works for other reasons. Let's talk about the next.

The second reason is obviously the SAVE points. This is not the most clear image, but we can see enough of the SAVE point to see its color. I also added the text color after you SAVE, which is the exact same. Not red, not white, not any other color, but gold. That is not all though.

When Flowey SAVES during his fight (though, interestingly, not while he LOADS), the text is also gold. As such, SAVing specifically is actually associated with that color, as it can be seen during this fight and while you SAVE yourself.

Even the Continue/Reset/True Reset menu shows the options as gold. While other actions you do show themselves as gold, the SAVE-related ones are particularly consistent when it comes to coloring. Anyways, let's get to the third reason. And it's pretty simple.

It's Flowey. Just... Flowey. This is the very reason I actually talk about gold. Flowey, himself, is stated (body-wise) to be a golden flower. I've proven in part 3 that colors may not be chosen without a specific meaning to them. Flowey is the only person other than Frisk to have this ability at any moment, and while there's a lot of green on Flowey, it's due to his flower state. Again, remember that Toby Fox took the time to give colors meanings, especially if it's important stuff. A golden flower is a very specific choice, implying it has its meaning. And due to Flowey's nature (revived out of determination, player-like being), it's easy to assume that this color was chosen due to his ability, especially when the SAVing text shows as gold even when he uses it. This is speculation, of course, but this is a theory moment mostly, and this is argumented speculation at least. I consider it highly likely, not an actual fact. I would only consider it a fact if Toby confirmed it. Also there's the gold text on the image, which against shows Flowey being gold, except this time... well... in text. Conclusion and special thanks This conclusion is not a summary of everything you can read in the four parts. It's just to separate the main content of the post from the rest. Anyways, if you appreciated these posts, I am happy. If you haven't read it all, I'll understand. It's a bit long. I tried my best in this part to create a good theory, but also to make you see I can see the flaws in my own beliefs. I totally assume I haven't shown everything. I just tried to show everything relevant enough I found. I would have shown more if not for the image limit I've talked a few times about. Now for the special thanks. How My Multiverse is Set Up

This is spoilers for how my multiverse functions so it'll be under the cut but I really wanted to post it anyways cuz I'm kinda proud that it came together so well. This is also for more than just Undertale but my focus is currently on Undertale anyways so it may as well be. I might update this later, possibly with an actual picture.

It always kinda bugged me that everyone kept making "Sans clones", and while I do have my own Sans character (yes, I'm a hypocrite) I decided to use different characters for some of the more common "multiverse gods", namely Ink, Error, Dream, and Nightmare.

The Watchers are basically a stand-in for me, the Author. Just as I, as an Author, have ultimate control and power over the multiverse I have created in my head, the Watchers have unlimited power, constrained only by their own creativity and near single-minded desire to "watch a good story”. Other Authors exist, interacting with their unique multiverses (whether they realize that’s what they’re doing or not), which the Watchers can look at, and even gain inspiration from, but cannot touch or influence; if they want to interact with it, they have to generate their own version of the source material. This includes Authors of EVERYTHING, “fan” made or official content, meaning that the Watchers are responsible for creating AUs for everything as well, not just Undertale, though contact between AUs is kept to a minimum and Crossovers are very carefully curated.

The Watchers decided to delegate their responsibilities as Author into Four entities, known as The Watchers’ Hands; these are Kreo (Kris), Roots (Flowey), Remaster (Gaster) and Nightmaster (also Gaster). Remaster, or Rem Gaster, further split himself into two beings, Lucid (Papyrus) and Dream (Sans), who work together to accomplish Rem’s duties.

Together, they all look after a place they call Void Town, which is a hub for all of the AUs I, the Author, have created. Most are kept distinctly separate, even if they start from the same source material. Old or abandoned AUs are “pruned” from existence by Roots, the Custodian and Destroyer of Worlds. Kreo, the Steward of Creativity, will sometimes try to recycle AUs, or pieces of them, before Roots prunes them entirely; this could entail ideas and concepts for places, relationship, archetypes, and even full characters, if they were beloved enough. The Idea Garden was created to store these disconnected ideas, the fruits of which can be used for inspiration later, and one large building in particular, called the Void Hotel, houses displaced characters, hoping to someday receive a “glow up” or reimagining and find a new AU to call home. Some of the more permanent residents of Void Town have actual houses all to themselves.

Crossovers can happen in empty void spaces between full AUs, made from copies of existing AU material that can be manipulated before (usually) being pruned by Roots as well. Occasionally, a crossover will stick around to be used as a playground, which may eventually evolve into a full-blown AU if it receives enough attention.

In general, Kreos tries to keep as many ideas alive as they can while Roots tries to reduce as much “clutter” as possible. Thus, balance is maintained.

Nightmaster, or Nightmare Gaster, could be called the “Guardian of Negativity”, as hardship always follows in his wake. Nightmare himself is a very curious being, constantly seeing how far he can push a character or concept before it breaks. He is responsible for creating the kinds of environments that spawn darker stories, like Underfell, but sometimes he goes too far, creating places like Horrortale, and even set in motion the events that would lead to Serif’s creation. Nightmare took a near-canon Undertale AU and basically stripped Guile (Gaster) of every ounce of empathy he had, just to see what would happen, then moved on to JumbleTale to test his results on a larger scale, making [JT Gaster] live long enough to engulf most of the Underground in his experiments.

Lucid and Dream were unable to completely undo Nightmare’s work but they could help give these stories a happier ending by working through the hardships Nightmare had created. They interfered just enough to get [JT Flowey] and Lucky Papyrus to erase [JT Gaster] from existence, along with much of what he created, leaving the world to heal on its own for a while. Seeing it struggling to move past the collective trauma, they decided to save Serif from his repetitive fate and insert him into JumbleTale instead, hoping to solve both problems at once. They also connected the Reset Power to the Barrier’s existence so that it would be gone as soon as the Barrier was broken; they understood the usefulness of Resets but have seen it abused so often that even the ever optimistic Lucid is wary of it. This is also why they resurrected Buttercup Chara, attaching her soul to Hero Frisk, in order to temper his psychopathic ways. Lucid and Dream are now rather invested in making sure JumbleTale gets its happy ending and Serif has been brought to the Watcher’s attention.

In general, Lucid and Dream are in a tug-of-war battle with Nightmare over how much peace or chaos is introduced into the lives of AU inhabitants.

Nightmare also stirs up chaos in Void Town itself, causing strife between inhabitants just because he can. He has a small group of “followers” that stir up trouble as well, evading the “authorities” appointed by Lucid and Dream to help keep the peace in Void Town. A lot of what they do is fight, with an unspoken understanding that neither group actually wants to kill the others, hoping to just release their pent-up aggressive energy.

Roots and Nightmare don’t exactly get along, since Nightmare’s meddling tends to make more AUs, but Kreo doesn’t really like Nightmare either, since Kreo wants to focus on the AUs already there. Sometimes Kreo will actually ask Roots to destroy an AU if it’s just not working, after taking what can be salvaged, of course. Kreo is more neutral towards Lucid and Dream; peaceful AUs are nice but they aren’t very interesting. Lucid and Dream understand Roots’ job and purpose but still don’t necessarily like what he does. The Watchers are flighty and distractible, always looking for the next cool thing to grab their attention. They create the most AUs, asking both Nightmare and Lucid/Dream for inspiration. Lucid tends to come up with the fun stuff; setting, theories, positive character traits, etc. while Nightmare comes up with the drama; situations for the characters to navigate, tragic backstories, negative character traits, etc. Dream is the realist, acting as mediator between the extremes and finding a way to make it all fit.

In the future of Serif's story, Dream and Lucid intend for Serif to return to his original AU and help fix the damage done there as well, giving that AU a happy ending too. They also intend to have Serif travel to different AUs to fix other "damage" caused by Nightmare, as a sort of avatar or emissary of their will.

As for personalities, Kreo is very much based on the quirky goblin-child that Kris seems to be in Deltarune. They also take inspiration from a headcanon I heard about Ink Sans being slightly feral, having “grown up” all alone, so he doesn’t really understand social situations and boundaries. Kreo has very little self-control or shame, doing what they feel like just because they can. This also bleeds into AU creation, specifically early creation being chaotic and uncontrolled until it stabilizes with a more solid trajectory; like a child playing with their toys, throwing everything against the wall and seeing what sticks. They also get attached to their “toys” very quickly, even speaking in the character’s voices rather than their own when they’re “playing as” that character. They rarely use their own voice, but when they do it’s a quiet monotone. Only a few residents of Void Town know of Kreo’s role in creating AUs, which suits them just fine; they prefer to be the weird but harmless kid that watches a little too closely while others go about their day.

Roots takes his custodian job very seriously but that’s the only thing he takes seriously. He’s cruel and manipulative, a very good actor when he needs to be, and only out to serve himself. He is also very secretive and most of the residents of Void Town don’t know what his role is, assuming he’s just another displaced resident like them. Roots plays the part of an innocent little flower boy, even making up a fake backstory as an underswap Flowey (taking a Temmies’ place) but on the few occasions he craves sincere (but positive) interactions, he’ll seek out Lucid. Like most Flowey and Papyrus relationships, Roots tries his darndest to corrupt Lucid, knowing it won’t work, and Lucid believes there is good in Roots, as he understands the necessity of Roots’ job, even if he doesn’t like it. No one is quite sure what Roots’ real body looks like; the flowers he shows everyone are just extensions of the tangled mass of roots and vines under the entirety of Void Town. He can have several “flower bodies” up at once, though this split in attention means he might mix up what he’s saying to who, helping support his Underswap story. There is very little that goes on in Void Town that he doesn’t know about, and he absolutely uses this to his advantage.

As self-proclaimed “Guardians of Positivity”, Lucid and Dream try to help everyone by meddling in established AUs; tampering with codes and probabilities from outside the AU, but sometimes entering the AU physically, when necessary, to make sure the plot progresses how they want it to. They tend to stay hidden, manipulating events from the background, rarely showing themselves to AU residents but occasionally getting caught by those paying enough attention. They are also the driving force of order in Void Town, setting up a system of government and protection that functions separately from themselves, but even after delegating these tasks, the two are just as busy as ever. Lucid is as energetic and eternally optimistic (at least on the outside) as any Papyrus, always seeing the best in a given situation; he knows what results he wants but isn't so naïve as to disregard the reality of getting there. Dream is more realistic, bordering pessimistic if separated from Lucid for too long, but his knowledge of psychology and story beats lets him find a way to manipulate the AU and its inhabitants to get the best outcome available, doing his best to cover the logistics of making Lucid's visions of sunshine and rainbows into a reality.

They could fuse back into Rem Gaster is they wanted to but, after spending so much time apart, they aren't actually sure what Rem would be like. Besides, Lucid and Dream rather like being themselves.

As mentioned, Nightmare Gaster is a very curious monster. Responsible for the generation of a lot of darker AUs, as well as the darker side of lighter AUs, Nightmare creates interesting obstacles for characters to overcome. Which is a nice way of saying he makes life as difficult as he can for everyone he comes into contact with. He is highly manipulative and can be very charming when he wants to be, rarely outright lying in favor of half truths and misdirection. I know I want him to have a small group of "followers" that help him do his job but I haven't decided exactly who those will be just yet.

The Watchers use plural pronouns and speak as if they are a collective group, generally embodying the thoughts of myself as author and the people that look at my creations. As mentioned, the Watchers' only goal is to "watch a good story" with interesting characters, good development, and surprising twists. While technically omnipotent, they are able to narrow their perspective so as to enjoy their "good story" as it happens and not just all at once, like I do as the author.
