A year ago I attempted to make an alternate MLP:G5, dubbed "the g5 that the kids deserve", and never posted them to the art blog but rather the pony blog, so I'm reposting them here now!

Hello mlp:G5 tumblr, I am here to talk about my thoughts on the temporary/limited alicorn, Sunny.

Sunny being assigned an alicorn while not being ready for it, isn't realky a great thing. Especially with all those "That magic was not yours to give" bs from the fans (I hate it, so much). But I do like thinking about it.

Within G5, ponies are seperated up until Sunny makes them all friends again, and returns the magic. Not really enough to be deserving of alicorn magic, but it happens still. Thing is, I don't think this specific alicorn magic is here to be earned, especially in a world where magic is something that has to relearned, or just learned (in the case of the earth ponies). That alicorn magic needed a worthy enough vessel for it's power, and by worthy I don't mean trained, and truly mastered magic user like Twilight. It needed a vessel with a worthy heart, much like Sunny. So Im here to believe that this alicorn magic is just a large portion a grouped up friendship magic and Twilight's own magic. Twilight obviously doesn't want the magic to fall into the hands of someone like, Opaline. So why not make it so the magic needs a vessel that is worthy of heart? If she's strong enough to take away ponies magic, she could probably make the magic do that.

I do think the reason we only see glimpses of Sunny's alicorn magic is because of the fact the magic isn't settling well with an "alicorn" that isn't prepared or actually worthy (mentally). So to counter the fact that Sunny is essentially a teen with the powers of a god, the magic limits itself to what Sunny has actually earned and can handle. She isn't a full alicorn yet because she hasn't earned it.

I do hope they actually write a good plot for g5, god I need it because if not I will attempt to write a G5 story on my own because I can't take it.

Please give me your thoughts on this topic as well, Im curious to see what others think about it.

Going back to fanfiction and to Tumblr

After some consideration, I decided to start making blog posts on Tumblr. I guess this is what this website is for, and I won’t be littering fimfiction.net with irrelevant blog posts anymore.

Currently, I’ve started a new fanfiction story. I’ve posted it on my AO3 and my Fimfiction.net accounts.

This story is a crossover of seven different fandoms. Yes, seven. Well, five if you count MLP:FiM, MLP:G5 and the Equestria at War mod as one fandom. 

This is the crossover of Tales of the Ketty Jay, MLP:FiM, MLP:G5, Equestria at War, Elder Scrolls, Minecraft and the SOL: Dawn flash game. It follows Darien Frey, the protagonist of Tales of the Ketty Jay as he embarks in a quest that will lead him to the ruins of Equestria, 1000 years after Friendship is Magic.

Why did I start this fanfic? Long story short, I was dared into it. Well, I told someone that I used to write fantasy stories, then we talked about if those stories had any value, and then this person advised me to actually go and write this story. I started writing… and fell into the fandom rabbit hole again… sigh.

So, this story will have 14 chapters. There will also be a stand-alone one-shot that would be submitted to a contest. I obviously have a lot of ideas about stories set in this setting, but I’m still unsure if this is a good idea. It’s quite a time-consuming hobby…

Well, we shall see how it goes…

[OOC] Apologies for the slow posts lately

Hey all, I just kinda wanted to update you about how I’m doing and where I’ve been. I haven’t been posting a lot on here lately for a few reasons.

1. There just isn’t a ton of Izzy or MLP:G5 related content coming out right now. We’ve had teasers for games, the youtube series, and the G5 special, but at the moment it’s just that, teasers. In terms of content, there isn’t a ton to post about.

2. I’m still figuring out my medication. I posted about it a month or so ago, but I’ve been taking ADHD meds to help with my focus issues. While it has helped a little bit, it hadn’t really been making a big difference on me, so I talked to my doctor and she upped my dosage from 30mg Vyvanse to 50mg Vyvanse. I’m currently on Day 4 of this upped dosage, so getting used to it will take a bit. It’s helping me a lot more though!

3. I’m questioning my gender again. This one is a bit more personal, but ever since the start of the year, I’ve identified as Non-Binary. While I still use that label, recently I’ve been questioning if I’m Transfem in some way, whether it be Genderfluid, Bigender, Transfeminine, a Trans Woman, or something else. I’ve been having a bit of Dysphoria lately, so it’s made it a bit hard to post on here.

4. I just haven’t really been in the mood to talk about MLP. I don’t think I’ve talked about this much on here before, but I actually have a lot of anxiety around the MLP community, and I’m currently experiencing a bit of burnout because of it. I’ve been struggling to handle the community mentally at the moment due to my paranoia around the artists and fandom, so I’ve just really not felt like talking about it much. My last few posts might seem barren because I forced myself to post them.

So yeah, there’s a lot going on right now, and there’s not a ton of reasons for me to talk about MLP at the moment. I’m sure I’ll be posting more on here when we get more stuff coming in about the series, the special, and the video game, but for now I’ll just be posting whenever I feel like it and when I have something to post. Apologies for the slow activity lately. 😅
