Y/N’s not the Beloved?
(At least, not at first)
Thinking so hard about Y/N just… not being the “beloved” in the yandere dynamics, and instead being the “neglected” party.
Just, like-
It’s not that Sun Wukong and Macaque don’t love you for being their precious adopted kiddo, but… you’re “just” a person, and you don’t have a tail or fur to groom like them. You can’t climb as well as they can, and you don’t have fangs. And you just aren’t strong enough to keep up.
So there’s this inherent disparity, and you feel sometimes more like a guest than a member of the family.
But then MK’s rock comes along! And then it hatches and there’s a new little monkey in the family for them dote on! They have a new baby, one that’s just like them!
In a way that you just… aren’t.
You just can’t compare. Sure, they still love you- you’re never hungry or cold, your clothes are plentiful, and they still support your interests, but…
They just don’t love you like they love him.
Because MK gets the nicest things, in all the ways you didn’t. He gets brand new clothes just right for a growing boy with a true form that fractures in and out of existence. But many of your “new” clothes have to be hastily sewn up because they’re hand-me-downs from Papa, and they had ear and tail slits- they were made for Mystic Monkeys, after all!
(And you aren’t one of them, no matter how hard you try to be.)
And MK gets his favorite foods and snacks whenever he asks, no matter how far Baba has to travel or how many stores his clones have to trawl to find those illusive treats. And when he digs in, you think of the times Papa taught you to “appreciate” his hard work in the kitchen by making you eat every bite of a meal he made, even if you gagged and coughed through it… but MK gets full impunity to have sides replaced whenever he decides a food is “yucky” without even trying it.
You got gifts for being well-behaved or accomplishing goals, but MK gets them for simply asking. You got money by doing extra chores or babysitting the mountain monkeys. MK is given it because your dads are in a good mood.
Not to mention how many of your hobbies and free days are undermined because you “need” to babysit the favorite child.
So on, and so forth.
And then one day it all grinds to a peak and you can’t take the favoritism anymore, so you eventually have the quietest messy breakdown known to man in the ungodly hours of the morning. When you finally manage to pull yourself together, the decision is promptly made- with a tightly-packed bag in tow, you sneak out through a window, clamber down the house walls, and disappear beyond the horizon.
And Macaque and Wukong are devastated, obviously. Sure, you aren’t the “beloved”, which is clearly MK, but you’re still their baby!
BUT! It gets even worse, because for all the worry in their hearts, MK is even worse!
He throws tantrums and rejects food and has uncontrollable fits where he bites bloody marks into his arms through hysteric tears. And even when the kiddo isn’t screaming his bloodied little mouth off, it’s only to scream for you to come back.
So, while they would’ve always made an honest effort to bring you back home (this is your home, even if it doesn’t always feel like it), having their “beloved” child start to genuinely harm himself over your absence only ramps up the efforts to get their first kid back.
“Open the door,” comes your papa’s tempered voice, barely second after you’ve registered the knock. “C’mon, kiddo. We need to talk.”
His foot meets the wooden door, tapping and testing the strength- not that there was really any question he could clear the flimsy barrier.
Tap. Tap.
At the pause, you drop everything and scramble into the closet, right as Macaque kicks through the door with a huff. The leather of his boot catches the light with a dark gleam, but he retracts it and readies for another blow.
“You in, Mac?”
“Not yet- I missed.”
His next strike lands true, shredding the cheap doorknob out of place so forcefully that it tears through the glass window behind it and disappears into the bushes behind the hotel, entirely flattened into a copper disk.
“Not bad,” cheers Wukong, peering into the wrecked room. “Not bad at all, bud!”
With a hand clasped over your mouth to muffle the sound of shallow breathing, you hunker down and wait- with a bitter thought at how casual they are about all this.
Didn’t they realize how badly hurt you were by the unabashed favoritism, the constant coming in second, the unending isolation?
How could they treat this like a casual outing?
“Alright, bud- pack your bags and put on something warm! We’re heading home!
Just barely you manage to bite back a cry of frustration over this miserable circumstance, expected to return to a home that had essentially shunted you aside.
“C’mon, brat. Did you really think we’d let you spend any more time in this hellhole? The mountain is a lot safer, anyways.”
You don’t even realize that Macaque is reaching into the closet until he has your upper arm in his hold, pulling until you’ve cleared the wooden threshold molding between your sanctuary and the living space.
Barely even on your feet, Wukong is upon you with a scarf, wrapping it tight and finishing with a neat bow.
“You know, MK really missed you,” he sighs, thinking of tantrums that spanned hours and the smell of mold in the kitchen when food the child flung had spilled under the counter and gone unnoticed for far too long.
Why should you care that their baby was suffering?
But whether you care or not (and they’re certainly not waiting for your opinion), they’re going to take you “home”.
With Wukong’s hand to wrap around your shoulders and Macaque’s to grip your wrist, they slowly march the way back to the precious little Mystic Monkey that you’ve come to hate.
And though your heart turns over at the sight of MK wailing on the floor, there’s this strange discomfort that arises when they call it that:
“Y/N is back!”
and it prompts an immediate end of his formerly hysterical waterworks?
Because he runs to you and throws both of his chubby little arms around your legs, demanding that you “never ever leave again!” and both of your dads are right behind him, because their son gets whatever he wants, when he wants it-
And what MK wants is you.

Ooh, I really liked the request where the reader wanted children. Can you please write something like that, but the reverse version, with Wukongs is who are have a Baby Fever with a oblivious wife reader?
Awwww, I'm glad you did, and I would love too
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Lmk Wukong) He did not see this coming like at all, it all started when he went to Visit Mk at pigsy's noodle shop when a baby girl would not stop staring at him, and he made some faces making her giggle. The mother laughed, saying that her daughter liked him but asked if he wanted to hold her, and Wukong froze and tried to decline before, but the little girl climbed on him, making him hold her. Wukong found himself singing an old Chinese lullaby to her while the baby girl giggled and cooed at him. Then he realized something
(Lmk Wukong) I need to tell my queen that I want a little prince or princess🤗
Tumblr media
(HIB Wukong) When did this dude not have baby fever, I mean he is in a way kinda obsessed with Luier and Silly girl and when he met you it happened again. The nail on the coffin was when you started to be a motherly figure to both the children as well, making dinner and washing their clothes and even taking care of them when they were sick. Wukong would watch as you took care of them and he immediately flew into a downward spiral, and the final straw being silly girl calling you mama.....
(HIB Wukong) I NEED THIS!!!!!!!👶
Tumblr media
(NR Wukong) Oh wow, he never thought that he would go through this type of thing ever, but here we are. You would always mother Li and Su and anyone of their friends, making snacks, and just taking care of everyone. Wukong felt strange ever since he saw that. He started to imagine you with a large pregnant belly, then holding fuzzy monkey cubs and taking care of countless Little boys and girls and it help him make a decision
(NR Wukong) Do I want to make my wife a MILF???........absolutely🤤
Tumblr media
(MKR Wukong) it started when fruity joined your weird and chaotic little family, Wukong watched you baby the hell out of that little chi spirit. It's been messing with him ever since then he's never seen you as the motherly type, more like the.....I'LL KILL YOU B*TCH type. The more this went on the more, it fester inside him make him do something he never do. Talk about his thoughts to his master, and that's when he learned about baby fever and what it was.
(MKR Wukong) Wait so this whole time, I wanted a cub......how do I tell yn???😖👉👈
Tumblr media
(Netflix Wukong) Oh you mother him and Lin all the time. Wukong was always blushing whenever you bring a packed lunch, or bandage his little boos boos as you kiss his injuries. You also would wash Lin's clothes and brush her hair, and make sure that you would provide for them. This also messes with his wants for a family to fill the void and that makes him think for once in his immortal life.
(Netflix Wukong) Maybe she'll want this too☺️
Tumblr media
(BMW Wukong) He's been wanting a family with you for years, especially with the way you treat the baby monkeys of the island. Wukong had watched you tend to and treat the cubs like they were yours this whole time, and this fills him with fantasies about your pregnancy and family and went you kissed a baby cubs goodnight was the final straw.
(BMW Wukong) MY QUEEN I NEED TO KNOCK YOU UP IMMEDIATELY 😍
Tumblr media
(Destined one)...................................so it's come to this.........the Destined one wants a cub of his own.......with you of..........alllll people. You guys were staying in a village know for it's impeccable daycare and he found children and babies everywhere he went. Then he started to have little Fantasies about a little baby monkey boy looking just like you but acted like him, or vise versa If the cub ended up being a girl. After a few weeks he released something crucial and important
(Destined one)(I want a little family🥹)

Note
I posted the fic in the reblogs but tbh it doesn’t due my funky little au justice.
So MK is Wukong’s kid and the reason he wasn’t raised by Wukong is because heaven took away MK as a baby. MK had a seal put on him to lock away his monkey self was put in stasis for about 500 years and then dropped off in the city with no way of Wukong knowing his baby is back. Before MK was taken he locked away DBK with the finally words of ‘I can’t risk Heavens eyes on me.’ But BDK’s rampage got heaven’s attention and they found about MK and well, I already wrote what happened above.
In those 500 years Wukong had the triplets! Rumble Savage and Thunder. Fearing heaven would once again take his children he hid. The kids are like 300-250 years old but are like 9-10ish. Baby. Only the monkies on the island know about Wukong’s cubs.
Rumble and Savage are rowdy little things, with shadow powers to match. Like Wukong’s personality and macaques power. Oh yeah, Macaque is dead but Wukong doesn’t know that. He just thinks macaque hates his guts for taking out his eye. Wukong still pines but doesn’t go searching, he doesn’t want to cause more damage to macaque. Back to the trio.
Thunder has future hearing and gold vision! He doesn’t have shadow powers like the other two and is a huge baba/mama’s boy. Where ever Wukong is Thunder is right at his heels or in wukong’s arms. He’s also the quietest of them. Regularly scaring the shit out of the poor residents of FFM.
Rumble and Savage are attached at the hip, always ready to help and accidentally cause some trouble. No matter what mischief always follows their heels. It’s often harmless and just childish fun. They can be seen following around their babysitter (another oc of mine, a teen Greek goddess). Getting training and climbing over her wings.
Wukong is more mellowed, still very much himself but he’s got kids and a kingdom to run so he’s a bit less crazy then back in the brotherhood. His kids problem did more to calm him down then the pilgrims but that’s not here nor there. He hurt Macaque in a rage as he was major preggy (although I think it works bit different than mortal births) at the time and Macaque was refusing to just listen to him.
Random thought that occured before I send, The pilgrims somehow find themselves in modern day. Tripitaka and them meet the triplets. Learns that Wukong is a father of 3(4) and has a successor. Tripitaka faints.
ooo that does sound interesting, and also a little tragic with room for healing!
We all love a protective mama monkey. Will Wukong realise his successor *is* his eldest baby? Who broke the baby MK out of stasis and drop him in the city? Many curious questions.
Will Macaque reappear in Wukong's life like in the show's canon?
I'm curious about your greek god oc!
Hehe Tripitaka fainting when he realises his monkey is now a parent and a teacher XD

Imaginary Shadow Dad)Ch.4: Need a little help?
—☆—
Hello everyone! I finally finished chapter four! In todays chapter: Macaque decides his son needs friends, so he makes a couple mischievous teenage clones and lets them watch Mk. He didn’t tell them exactly where he was going though..
—☆—
Shadow Dad had to admit it. His son needed friends. He didn’t have any friends his age to have fun with and he didn’t have any teenage bad influences in his life. As the boy's "Shadow godfather" it was his job to grant his wishes to the best of his abilities.
Yeah, the kid called him that once and he's not planning on letting him live it down anytime soon. He was resting in the shadow realm, waiting for his son’s next call as he worked on his plan. He was going to give his son siblings.
He summoned two shadow clones and started changing their shapes. Meanwhile, his cub was fidgeting in class.
He had been getting in fights more often ever since he started practicing his forms during recess.  He was glad he was able to follow his dad's advice and get out fast, but otherwise, he was nearly at a loss for what to do. Shadow Dad told him it was best to deny them the battles, but he wanted to show them he wasn't a wimp! It was getting annoying to run every time. He always had to climb a tree to get away, and even then he had to wait for them to stop taunting to get down. Ugh-
"Xiaotian!" his teacher jerked him out of his thoughts.
"Yes, professor?" The boy asked, back to full attention.
"Can you tell the class who Liu'er was?" the teacher asked, expecting him not to know.
"Of course, professor! Liu'er was the six eared macaque, and he attacked the pilgrims in "The Journey to the West!"" Xiaotian responded, cheerfully.
"No, who was he to the Monkey King?" His professor clarified, causing the boy to flush.
"Umm.. Enemies?" Xiao-Xiao answered much less assuredly. He had only seen things about him in that TV show, so he didn't know any better. Giggles erupted from the class, making the brown haired boy slip down into his seat again.
"No. Jie?" The professor asked someone else.
"They were friends before the journey." Jie, a major teacher's pet, stated, causing the professor to nod, but a debate suddenly began.
  "No, they were dating!"
  "Weren't they married?"
"Yeah! The wedding bands were even mentioned!"
  "They're both men!"
"So are Hua Ping and Li Sheng!"
And so, our boy slipped into thought about that. They were married? He was so confused. I mean, they could've just been friends. He thought, before resolving to read it at the library later. It was almost lunch, which meant time with his Shadow Dad! He wanted to go practice some techniques with his lantern his dad had taught him.
The moment class was dismissed, he dashed to the lunchroom, though it was much more like speed walking because he didn’t wanna get in trouble. Once he was there he sat down in the corner and twisted the release to light his lantern. Like clockwork, his father poked his head out of a portal on the table and handed him his lunch. “Hi, Shadow Dad!” The boy chimed, beaming with glee.
The shadow shushed him and whispered, “Inside voices. We don’t want people to hear.”
Xiaotian nodded and switched to whispers. “Hi, Shadow Dad!”
The monkey whispered, “Hi!” in response with a chuckle. “Anything to report?”
“No. I just wanted to talk to you!” The Little sky smiled, though it was clear something was bugging him.
“Don’t lie to me. What’s wrong?” His father asked and waited patiently for a response.
The boy pouted when he was caught and answered, “We were talking about Liu’er in class today.”
A small flinch went unnoticed by the smaller as his father asked, “And what was bad about it?”
“The other kids all said the Monkey King and Liu’er were friends, or maybe even married! I thought the Six Ear was evil though! Now, I don’t know which of us were right.” Xiao-Xiao explained his worries with his pout still on his face.
A sudden phantom pain on the monkey’s tail caused him to pause and rub the spot on his shadow form’s tail that hurt, before returning attention to his kid. “Well… you need to understand the nuance of their relationship. Liu’er and Monkey king aren’t human, and that means their traditions are different. The traditions for demons are different for each species, and they both followed demon monkey beliefs.” He began, then awaited his son’s questioning.
The boy scratched his head and leaned forward, trying to think of what those were. "But, Shadow Dad! What are those beliefs?" Xiaotian questioned, confusion clear. Class never taught him the traditions of demons.
Expecting this(The school was known for keeping demon kids out) he continued to explain. "Well, demon monkey beliefs are based around the individual's comfort and the comfort of those they care for. If they fall in love, they will usually deliver food and gifts to court the other; if the other reciprocates, it's considered a proper courtship, and that usually means that they'll start the more recognizable process. Y'know, dates and kissing, and eventually, marriage."
  "Like humans?"
"Somewhat. The way proposals are carried out is very different though. Instead of a ring, the marital gift is a band of metal that fits on the end of the tail. It's also a personal connection that doesn't need the approval of anyone else. It's only about the love for the other, and families have no place denying that."
"That’s really different. My parents didn't even decide they wanted to date each other. Their families are really traditional."
"Yeah? Well, my point is that they were courted, but humans would probably not have considered it proper at the time. I feel like demon monkey courtship is one of the least problematic traditional demonic courtship methods. For reference, pig demons have the tradition of court-napping, which is literally kidnapping your chosen partner." The monkey finished the oddly timed courtship lesson, but he thought he did pretty well.
"Wow! I wish I could do monkey demon courtship. It sounds so much nicer! My parents would kill me though. They don't even want me dating another boy!" his son lamented, causing his father to reach up and caress his face.
"If it's any consolation, I don't care who you fall in love with. If you love someone, you love them. I think it's best you admit that and be at peace with it, instead of trying to ignore it and thinking there's something wrong with you. No matter what, you're still you. It doesn’t matter if you love another boy or a girl, and I don't care if you decide to date a demon or a human. Now, I have work to do, so you should eat up, alright?" The shadow said and began slipping back into the shadows.
"Okay, dad. See you tonight!" Xiao-Xiao called with a wave.
——000000——
When the child got home, he didn’t spare his parents a glance, and instead he made his way to his room in an instant. He sat on his bed and pulled out his lantern. He twisted the release and listened to the 'Pshhhh' noise until his father burst out of it and immediately did a handspring. The cub applauded the shadow’s theatrics, causing him to blush and scratch his head as he turned around. "Heya, kiddo. Excited for tomorrow?" He asked with a smile.
"Huh?" Xiaotian vocalized, before remembering, "Right! My birthday! I can't wait!"
His dad chuckled and rebutted, "You say directly after forgetting that it was tomorrow." He called out before picking his cub up above his head and dipping into the shadows to reach his dojo. They landed in the nest and both yelled "Monkey bomb!" with glee as they disrupted the nest.
The older breathed somewhat heavily for a few moments, then smiled at his son and stood up, putting the boy down. His son noticed and asked, "Are you okay, Shadow Dad?" with great concern.
The parental monkey immediately denied, saying "Oh, no- Uh- Don’t worry, kiddo! You just run me ragged sometimes!" with a level of panic. He didn’t want his son to get worried, but the cub had been seeing this sort of behavior more and more often. He was getting nervous. His dad had been seeming more and more tired and he was struggling with training. "I'll go start on dinner. Get changed and we'll start training, alright?"
The kid nodded, but his face showed his determination. He was gonna make his dad feel better, no matter if the monkey didn’t wanna worry him. He's gonna make his dad happy, and find a way to let him rest! The boy ran to the showers and changed into his training uniform, before running out and picking up his lantern.
Shadow Dad chuckled as he ran past, already closing the soup dumplings to put in the steamer. Then, a purple thunder strike dashed through the hall as he closed it. He set it up at his max speed, before dashing to the main room. "Xiao-Xiao?! Are you o- whaa~" he was shocked when he saw his son’s eyes glowing and electricity coming off of them.
"I didn't mean to do that!" The youngling said in a panic, another zap dashing across the room. "How do you do the thing?!"
"Wha- Which thing?! Xiao-Xiao, are you okay?!" His dad was even more panicked.
"The shadow limbs! When you make, like, two extra arms!" The cub replied, turning his head quickly when his eyes started stinging again.
Another zap kicked the shadow’s thoughts into high gear. "Alright! Kid, we gotta focus on turning those off first! You gotta calm down and focus on something safe, alright?!" He had to yell over the sounds of the zapping.
His son nodded and closed his eyes, having to open them as small zaps hit his eyelids. He looked to the ground, panting from the fear as his heart raced. He tried to calm himself, but the random zaps were scaring him and his eyes were hurting! The monkey’s hand grabbed his shoulder and grabbed the lantern out of his hands, hoping removing the magic item would stop the magic, but the lightning kept coming.
He panicked and hugged his son tightly, hoping it would calm him enough but- Wait… Shadow trails? Little wisps of shadow slipped off of the boy as he hugged himself. Every spot that was touched had wisps curling around it. Had he absorbed the power of his lantern? He hadn't ever seen someone else with shadow trails. "You're gonna be okay, kid." The shadow muttered, but he was still concerned about the oddity.
The boy calmed down a little faster, the lightning stopping as his scleras and pupils returned to normal, but his irises stayed purple and glowing, which was definitely a bit concerning, but the youngling seemed fine. "I'm sorry." Xiaotian murmured, with tears in his eyes. "I wanted to do the thing and make ears and a tail. I wanted to look like you. I'm sorry."
Shadow Dad looked up with fear. It was his fault? He did this? "I-its alright, Xiao-Xiao. I.. I’ll teach you, okay? Just.. Wait till tomorrow." He hugged his son closer, his son turning around to hug him back. The trails stopped flickering around when he calmed down, which helped the adult relax, but he was still worried.
His cub was absorbing his magic. Alright.. that's a little scary. "I'm hungry.. Is the food done?" Right. He had to take care of his youngling first. He could worry about Xiao-Xiao absorbing his magic later.
For now, he just had to keep taking care of him. "Sure thing, Xiao-Xiao. Wanna train with a staff today?"
  "YESSSSS!!!"
——000000——
"Alright, you two. Don't overwhelm him. He's probably gonna feel a little nervous." The clones nodded, making chittering noises as they looked through the shadows at the cub in Shadow Dad's dojo.
  "He’s adorable!"
"The boy is an Apricot Boy, for sure!"
"Your language is definitely gonna confuse him. Oh well. Let's go meet him." the original said as he stepped back out of the darkness. "Alright, Xiao- Hey!" The clones dashed past and grabbed the boy, lifting him up and hissing cheerfully.
"Baby brother!" one said, though it just sounded like hissing.
The child’s still purple eyes lit up brighter. "Skull face!" He pointed at the older as they held him beside their hip. "Weh!" He yelped as the other grabbed them both and chittered.
  "Apricot Boy!"
"Rumble! Savage!" the adult snapped his fingers, making the skull faced twins return to his sides after putting the boy down. A loud sigh came from the parent, before he explained, "Xiao-Xiao, these are your new older siblings. Meet Rumble and Savage. They're supposed to be, approximately, fifteen."
The two looked a lot like the shadow, though their fur was black instead of purple and they had oddly firm skull-like faces, which were red. Their ears and scarves were red too, and their eyes were very clearly eye sockets. (They honestly looked much more like his physical form, but their outfits actually were purple.) They were both vibrating in place, wanting to hug the adorable Little Sky. "They're so cool!" The boy yelled, causing both to chirp in appreciation and Rumble to run in and hug him, but Savage just stayed where they were.
"Gonna warn you; They can't talk." Shadow Dad warned before walking over to the siblings, Savage joining the other two’s cuddling.
Xiao-Xiao grinned as he was sandwiched between the teens, laughing as their chitters tickled him. “I don’t think that’ll be a problem!”
  “It won’t be!” Rumble chittered.
  “We’ll teach him!” Savage added.
The adult sighed and muttered, “Alright then.” before he notified, “They’ll watch you while I’m making food. Should help you three get to know each other.” He placed his hands into his pockets and walked to the kitchen, slipping into the shadows when he knew his sons weren’t following.
Once their dad had left, the twins laughed in their hisses. Savage summoned text from the darkness, holding it up in front of the younger. “Suggestion?” They chittered as the writing appeared.
Xiaotian noticed and said, “Sure!” with a smile on his face. That was one way to get past the language barrier!
Rumble chuckled as their twin changed the text, continuing to hold the boy as Savage stepped away to focus on their writing. “We can Monkey Pile dad when he gets back! It’s sure to cheer him up!” Before their baby brother could ask, the twin still holding him created an image to explain. It showed the three of them, then Shadow Dad exiting the darkness. After that, the images of the siblings jumped at him, pinning him with a hug.
“Oh!” Xiao-Xiao exclaimed, understanding the explanation. “Yeah! He loves when I hug him, so a hug from three sons should be even better!”
Savage did the “Sorta” hand motion, before changing the text again. “Kinda. We’re both demi-boys. They/He/It pronouns, y’know?” They described with a shrug.
Rumble subtitled his own chitters as it said, “We don’t mind the term “son” though, so don’t feel bad!”
“Okay! Well, three kids then!” The smallest sibling exclaimed, causing adoring coos to sound from both of the twins.
  “Apricot Boy is so sweet!”
“Sweetened Apricot Boy!” Both captioned their chitters, but they still noticed confusion in their baby brother’s face. “What is it?”
Xiao-Xiao snapped out of his thoughtful daze, answering with, “Why are you calling me an apricot?”
Both twins avoided eye contact very suddenly. Savage was the first to try and explain, “Y’see; Apricots symbolize a lot of good things, so in our language, saying Apricot Boy is saying all those good things about someone at once! Such as, optimistic, positive, courageous, and confident!” He wrote out in bold lettering, explaining the oddly translated compliment.
The youngest perked up as he found out what it meant, immediately saying, “Oh! Well thank you then!” and causing even more cooing at his cuteness.
“He’s just too cute!” Savage chittered, not captioning it for fear of embarrassing it’s brother.
“I know!” Rumble replied, doing the same.
Xiaotian wiggled out of his more touchy brother's arms and ran off to a nearby shelf, climbing it immediately. “Come get me!” He yelled, jumping to the bookshelf next to it and effectively declaring a game of monkey tag. The twins were mischievous little monkeys, and they loved that game, so they immediately started chasing. This… was gonna make a mess. It was really clear. Luckily, Savage was actually somewhat intelligent, and led the game to the training room when it got tagged.
The game kept on going for about an hour or two. All three were little balls of energy, so they managed to keep up the game until Shadow Dad came home. At one point, Xiao-Xiao managed to climb on top of the door to the room and nearly gave the twins heart attacks. Then, their dad got back and saw how messy it was in the training room when he came in with four bowls of congee. All three of his kids suddenly stopped their game, and stared at him like they'd gotten caught. Half a moment later, the adult realized what had happened and sighed deeply. "Why am I not surprised?" Rumble picked up Xiaotian as Savage walked over and took the dishes to the main room. "Thank you." Shadow Dad mumbled as the more intelligent twin carried the food to the table.
Then… once the food was put down and everyone was in the main room… all three kids leapt at their dad and glomped him to the ground. He yelped as they piled on top of him, causing all of them to hit the floor. "Monkey pile" they all cheered, trying to sound excited, but the air had been knocked from their lungs.
Once he understood what was going on, their dad's face shifted to a goofy smile as he wrapped his arms around all three of his kids. "Oh nooo~ You got me!" he lamented jokingly as he started laughing. He was gonna power through this. It didn't matter that his healing had slowed down.
He had a son now. That little boy mattered far too much for him to leave, so if he was ever forced to, he would still find someone to keep him safe. Xiao-Xiao was never gonna get hurt on his watch. No matter what.

You wanna know something? The fact that MK is part stone monkey like Wukong has been foreshadowed several times throughout the series: 1. Even before he became Monkey King's successor, MK always climbed things for no reason. And when he first meets Wukong, MK begins climbing and jumping on him like a monkey, something Monkey King does in return in "Bad Weather".
Three times involving the stone egg:
In the pilot, after retrieving the staff from DBK's furnace, MK emerges resembling a stone egg.
When MK makes his first clone in "Duplication", it briefly takes on the form of a stone egg.
In "Macaque", when Macaque 'stole' MK's powers, it took on the form of a stone egg.
In "The Great Wall Race", MK mentions how he always liked stone fruit. Monkey King is seen eating stone fruit at the end of the episode.
MK's past is never brought up in the first three seasons, where even Tang's past is given mentioned in how he "met [Pigsy's] parents".
MK's reflection has always been shown on any shiny surface... except for the demon-revealing mirror in "Dumpling Destruction", as it would've revealed his true nature as a stone monkey right away.
In "Destiny Fulfilled", Lady Bone Demon calls MK, Monkey King, and Macaque a "troop of headstrong simians", and in her final words to MK she calls him "monkey", suggesting she realized what MK truly is at some point.
At no point, throughout the series, has Monkey King said he gave MK his powers. While multiple characters like Spider Queen and Macaque have called it "Monkey King's power", Monkey King has always called it "[MK's] power". The only time Monkey King said otherwise was in "Calabash", and that was a fake.
MK was able to open the seal at Flower Fruit Mountain, even though it isn't indicated that Wukong gave MK the ability to do so. MK just did it for no real reason.
As Monkey King said in both the pilot and "Smartie Kid", the staff is just a heavy stick and it takes someone special to lift it. The fact MK can lift and use it at all where other characters like Red Son needed outside help hinted that MK was special. And when Macaque and Lady Bone Demon stole MK's powers, MK was able to lift the staff and regain them during the former and regained his powers gradually without the staff in the latter case.
In "The King, The Prince, and The Shadow", when the other Monkie Kids are experiencing Déjà Vu at the site where the Samadhi Fire was split, MK is the only one who doesn't feel any familiarity. This is because everyone except MK is a direct stand-in for their predecessor, while MK is something else. I wonder how this will play out with Bai He in your Ivory Girl AU.
I'll go over a few things because I love foreshadowing 🤩
1. Bai he has always had a strong sense of justice. She's always had the strong feelings that she made to help people. While this subtle and could be chalked up to her general heroism, it is still foreshadowing to what she is!
2. When Bai he stole the key back from the Dragon King of the West's Generator, blue magic poured out of it, looking like blood pooling onto the ground. This also happened with the mayor when Bai he's magic looked like blood in his hand. This references her birth.
3. During the Monkey King ARC, Bai he's hair gain streaks of white in her hair even after she got back the Skeleton Key back. This was her powers beginning to seep through as Bai he's life was being threatened.
4. Bai he was able to gain access to Lady Ivory's palace without explicitly given access from Lady Ivory.
5. Bai he is the only person besides Lady Ivory who can use the skeleton key because of her soul being a prefect match for the key's soul to attach to.
6. Bai he gets constant dejva vu when she walks around the forgotten Empire. Lady Ivory even comments on how Bai he walks around as if she had been their before.
7. Bai he has vivid dreams that slowly become more and more accurate to predicting events before they happen.
8. Bai he is the only person who doesn't get deja vu during the ritual of the where the Samadhi Dragon was sealed.

LMK season 5 Episodes 3-4 spoilers below the cut!
SWK is very grumpy about the headache he will presumably be having this whole season. Tang, your loud rambling is not helping (JK ILY)
“I didn’t think they were real!!” Tang, you should’ve learned by now, assume any super powerful thing is real until proven otherwise.
Sketch plan section!!
Monkey king brand band aid
Hype man M-M-M-Mei!
I love MK’s little Nüwa drawing!
“It’s burning!” Tang, you guys survived the Samadi fire incident, I think you’ll live
Toasted peach!
Also SWK making sure Tang gets to do the lore dumb is adorable. And Tang is so happy he gets to do it!!
Lots of painted style, love it!
“There’s always a temple” “m-mmhmm, yep”
“Sounds like Tangy’s on board!” Sandy, I love you so much, you deserve so many good things. Hold on while I grab some silver star stickers from Shifu Subodhi just for you.
As someone who just got home from a hiking trip in the mountains, I feel you MK, stairs are the worst. I wouldn’t climb all that either.
Alpine Sandy!!
Tang can’t climb either those weak ankles though!!
Pigsy questioning is MK knows ‘trial by fire’ is a metaphor is hilarious considering he raised that boy, he’s probably the one that taught him most of the metaphors he knows.
Li Jing sitting by his magic tracker muttering ‘hmm, yes, they will use magic and I will find them’ is absolutely what SWK is picturing.
Cloud doesn’t count as magic I guess.
Pigsy, you have to carry him! His weak ankles!
“It’s just my good fluffy boy! Loophole baby!” Alright, cloud as SWK’s pet fics are needed now.
Well if it isn’t the consequences of his own actions.
Pheonix!! Fenghuang to be exact!
MK mocking SWK about the “trial”
Creation flashbacks?? Also since MK was like made directly by Nüwa doesn’t that like, make him the equivalent of royalty? Hand sculpted monkey right here.
“Classic final boss aesthetic” he’s not wrong.
Is MK prophesied to fix the pillar or is this a past life kinda situation?
“I’m feeling confident!” Traps!
The return of smarty kid!!
SWK got free acupuncture
Lots of references this season!
Grumpy SWK
“They represent my many many dads!” They acknowledged it!!!
I love how SWK is the only one with any damage, thus indicating he keeps taking the blows for (the likely oblivious) MK
“First time was just a city, don’t get cocky”
“You know you just gave me a third path I have to choose from right?” “Bud! You know what I mean!!”
“I thought maybe we’d find a map that we’d never end up using” so be fair, you did use the Samadi fire map.
Oooh! Flashback!!
Oh I do not like the implications of this.
OH I DO NOT LIKE THE IMPLEMENTATIONS OF THIS!!!
This was a legend of Zelda dungeon. They even got a shiny stone at the end.
SWK is in denial, but also he’s right.
They made it just in time to turn around.
Did anyone have Tang’s weak ankles on their season five bingo card?
So Nüwa made MK to be there to fix the pillars of one ever got busted again, right? Like we’re gonna find that out and it’s gonna be a big moment of MK realizing he’s not Chaos but was created to stop it. Then it’s gonna be a “you can choose how to be, you don’t have to be what you were made” thing from SWK because MK goes super self sacrificing. Calling it now.
One of these days the end credits will change to MK.
Episode 4!! I’m probably gonna pause after this one to give me time to really soak in the season and watch some more tonight (I saw as if I’m not planning on rewatching this multiple times)
Decisions are not MK’s strong suit.
“Kid takes one how to write seminar and now he wound shut it with macguffins.”
Sandy sees MK getting overwhelmed and steps in!
“I love this new commanding Sandy” “didn’t know big blue had it in him” he’s been reading a self help book.
Sandy training! Mo standing guard!
Sandy training is therapy I hope
“Yeah that was a lie”
Have I mentioned Sandy is my favorite?
“Breadstick shoulders”
Sandy: MK you need therapy. Sit.
“I’ve got my trauma bottling process down pat!” That’s the problem MK
As someone who only recently started meditating, Sandy is actually explaining ways it’s helpful really well. So PSA that if you have anxiety, especially if it’s like mine and your mind continuously makes up scenarios that will never happen and you rarely feel yourself in the present because of it, try meditating! It can really help!
MK is also me.
Sandy MK bonding was not something I expected this season but it was something I wanted so badly!
MK that is not a demon that is just a snake (probably?)
Secrets tunnel!! Secret tunnel!!
Sandy’s little worried marker thing!!
Stone snake!!
Sandy looks so offended that the tortoise questioned MK’s worthiness.
“I am not ready for the test” “be here now” “but I don’t wanna!”
Sandy getting a hug until MK meditates
“Hey get off my Sandy!!”
Sandy being so supportive despite the circumstances!!!
Ooooh! MK vs Monkey MK in the mind!! Monkey MK taunting!!
“You like it” dang the voice acting for that line was nice!
MK going into monkey form to try and protect Sandy!!!!
“There’s parts of all of us we don’t like, but it’s always still us.” Sandy hitting with the deep quotes.
Still in monkey form!! With it controlled!!
Sandy angry for MK’s sake!!! “Was it enough? Was he WORTHY?!”
I’m pausing for a second because this episode is so far one of my favorites. It’s so good. I need a minute.
I want more backstory to Sandy.
“Pigsy always said you were this rage filled guy and…I just never believed it”
Mo is a good guard cat!
Mei destroyed the car this time!
I’m sorry Sandy, you deserve a lasting vehicle.
This episode is probably gonna sit next to Amnesia Rules as one of my favorites (I love Sandy too much guys)

MY OPINION ON LMK SEASON 5
SPOILERS AHEAD
SCREAMING KICKING CRYING DYING AND FLYING I JUST FINISHED WATCHING IT IN CHINESE OF COURSE.
Nine-headed demon, I wasn’t a fan of the bird form ,But like I loved it man the nine-headed demon is officially one of my favourite characters I swear him and Macaque had beef.
Speaking of Macaque I loved him sooooooo much this season not that I don’t usually love him but EH WTF happened to his powers??? Why did they change colours did he really make a deal with someone??? But like I love how he literally used most of his power to break everyone free then just rolled on the ground.
Wukong now…..My man, my angel that hoop brought back 50 types of trauma and the fact MK used the migraine spell on him killed me….I understand why but it still hurt. And the 100 eyed demon reminding him what he did to Macaque broke me and I cried.
Li Jing….He redeemed himself a little at the end but I still wanna beat his ass into next week, how dare he treat poor Nezha that way and he put the hoop on Wukong then he trapped Macaque in the Pagoda.
Nezha don’t have much to say other than I really don’t like the way his mech looked like in the show it looked plain no hate to Wildbrain love them and can’t blame them for this considering they’re used to 3D animations and have other things to work on as well. But I loved Nezha as always.
MK…..No but like I’m still trying to figure out this kids’ hair colour sometimes it looks black then brown then both and I’m sitting there like wtf and then him going into his monkey form only for it to be brown, Anyway loved him a lot but am still depressed for what he did to Waking but it’s understandable. My guy also opened Pandora’s box….can’t wait to see more of that next season. But like c’mon whoever writes the script have got to give Mk a break.
NuWa….Here’s the thing I don’t really like or hate her she’s just this mutual feeling, no hate but I wasn’t really a fan as to how her face was animated, it probably just me but it looked a little off, I liked her snake body though and the idea of reincarnation is cool af.
Red Son…my baby needs more screen time
Sandy, they did wonders for him made me love him more
Pigsy was perfect absolutely loved him loved his relationship with Mk good father and son.
Tang I feel like he needed more screen time but I loved when he was on Pigsy’s back when they were climbing up the mountain.
Mei…poor girl was worried about her friendship with Mk wondering if there friendship was disappearing, jackfruit duo is amazing.
The hundred eyed demon wasn’t my favourite though he did manage to remind Waking about what he did to poor MacBook (Macaque) and also traumatised everyone else with their deepest memories.
My overall review of the season was 9 out of 10 this is my opinion I personally loved it and didn’t mind the animation other than NuWa’s Face the animation hit perfectly right when it needed to and the script was amazing all that matters is that the story was good so what if the animation isn’t the same the story was there and I would watch it again. Don’t go hating Wildbrain as I said before they’re amazing and getting used to a new animation style. I just can’t wait for the rest of the season to be dubbed in English. Again this is my review my opinion not everyone’s is the same so please don’t be hurt by this.

He’s Mine- Roleplay with @sanityisinthemusic
Chapter 5 - Welcome Home
Wukong slowly woke up to little hands patting his face. He felt sore and his leg refused to move as he woke up to Mk patting his cheeks. “Mama better now? Baba said Mama moved wrong and opened big wounds while in-inju-injuring Mama’s leg with a bad fall.” Mk inquired.
"Be gentle with Mama now bud, he might still not feel too good," Macaque said, sitting next to the two with a smile. He couldn't help the feeling of accomplishment he got, seeing Wukong back in their old nest. Or, in the nest, he'd made to replace the old one. It had taken so much work, and a fair amount of magic in the form of shadow clones, to get the palace clean enough to bring the injured Wukong and his little one here. He'd even replaced the old nest with a big bed and built a nest of blankets and pillows on top of it. The work wasn't done of course, but the important rooms were and he had shadow clones still hard at work cleaning the place. It might be tiring, but it would be worth it. For now, he sat next to the two at the edge of the nest, watching their son sitting on their mama's chest in the middle of the next nest made for them, and it only fueled his love and desire to protect his king more. He leaned down and placed a kiss on Wukong's forehead. "Peaches, open your eyes for me? I set up a big surprise for you and I want you to see it," he whispers.
Wukong cracked his eyes open while a soft hiss of pain passed his lips from his leg tensing up. “I'm alright Starlight… just sore…” Wukong replied slowly, trying to sit up. He did not want his wounds being torn open again because he didn't heed Macaque’s requests and even then the collar would have forced him to sit up anyway at the ‘order’ like question.
"Easy there," Macaque said, scooting closer and looping an arm under the other's shoulders to take some of the weight off of his injured body. "Last thing we'd want is for you to shed more blood just trying to sit up." He gently helped sit him up, grabbing a few of the pillows around them and tucking them behind Wukong so he could lean into them while sitting up somewhat. Once he was sure Wukong was settled, he got up and walked to the other end of the bed, spreading his arms. "Remember where we are Sunshine?" He gave his King a warm smile as he showed off the room. A stone room. There were furnishings made of wood carved by the stone monkey's old hands and decorations that they'd picked out together centuries ago, old vases filled with fresh flowers and little statues and anything else they liked. The fur on the floor had been preserved with time, still as soft as ever, just like nearly everything else in the palace they'd lived in for so long.
Wukong’s eyes went wide in shock. “The King’s chamber of the Stone Palace..."
Macaque's grin grew. "Yup! I thought it was finally time that we returned home, don't you think?" He approached the bed once more, leaning over the foot of the bed to scratch lightly at MK's head. "Especially now that we have a baby to raise." He looked up, locking eyes with Wukong. "Seemed only right to raise our family here, don't you think?"
Wukong mutely nodded while those words rang in his ears. ‘Home’ and ‘Our Family’ were such words Wukong had spoken aloud in private in this very room. ‘The wind…’ Wukong realized.
Macaque smiled as he came back around the side of the nest, climbing back into it. Not too close to Wukong, but near him. He sat with a smile, tail waving gently behind him. "I'm still working on getting everything cleaned up, but that's going to take a few days." He paused, his smile falling as he remembered something. "Well, except the vault. That's got to be entirely organized. And the treasure room outside of the palace needs to be cleared out and everything moved into the appropriate store rooms." He shook his head, sighing, but was smiling a bit again. "You always were a bit of a hoarder."
“I hoarded stuff as an outlet to prevent myself from fighting and making any more enemies.” Wukong huffed.
"If I'd known that would work, I would have encouraged it more," he said with a chuckle. "I'm preparing Xiaotian's room just down the hall. You remember that room we never knew what to do with? It was too small for a proper guest room, but too big for light storage. It's the perfect size for a baby nursery." He chattered away happily, tail waving behind him.
“I recall it. The other idea was to make it a study for you to break down and modify enchantments on old artifacts.” Wukong replied.
"That's the one," he said with a nod. "I'd decided against it because I wanted to have my study closer to the vault." He scooted a bit closer. "You weren't happy about that because you said it was too far away if I got lost in my work."
‘I have to be very careful here.’ Wukong thought. “I did. You nearly ended up crashing to the floor after two weeks locked in your old study breaking down a far more advanced magic item and nearly blew yourself up."
Macaque balked. "Ok, you are seriously exaggerating that story! It was not two weeks." His tail curled around himself now as he frowned at the other. "And I didn't blow myself up," he said, turning his head away with a little huff, clearly pouting at being called out.
“Baba go Boom!” Mk giggled clapping his hands. “Peach!” Mk demanded and his shadow seemed to writhe before a gold-tinted peach popped out into Mk’s little paws. “Look, Mama! Can summon food with shadow!” Mk squealed happily.
Macaque's attention immediately turned back to his son, staring at him in astonishment before he grinned. "My talented little boy." He cooed affectionately as he started to purr, reaching out and rubbing his son's back. "You are gonna give me trouble with you getting my powers already, I can tell." He'd need to set up some seals around the palace, to make sure that his sweet little cub couldn't accidentally shadow portal away from home whenever he managed to figure that power out. Too dangerous.
“Baba share peach?” Mk asked.
"That's okay. I think your Mama needs it more than I do," he said with a smile. "I had something earlier."
“Okay.” Mk looked up at his mama. “Share peach?”
“Yeah we can share Starlight… where did you get this peach?” Wukong asked while mild dread filled his stomach at the Gold tint to the peach that he took from Mk and gently twisted in half popping out the glimmering golden seed of the special fruit.
"He must have gotten them from the kitchen." Macaque muses as he wonders when their son might have seen them. "I found a few like that earlier today. Best peach I think I've ever had by the way." His tail tip flicked as that proud smile turned into a smirk. "Didn't know your peaches would be so sweet Sunshine. Your little secret grove is something special."
Wukong bit back the urge to snark while his face turned red with a blush at the unintended double meaning of Macaque’s words. What he wouldn't give to jump into a cold lake right now. “I made do with what I had stored away.” Wukong carefully answered unsure how much Macaque knew and what he was simply guessing.
Macaque leaned forward a bit more, enjoying Wukong's reactions. "Maybe we can talk about growing some more later then, when you're better." He purred. Now that he was very sure that Qi Xiaotian was immortal, he wanted his child to enjoy good food like this. And his mate deserved to enjoy such delicious peaches. " could finally get started on setting things up for that peach grove you always wanted in the courtyard. We can have a few varieties."
Mk lightly pushed his Mama towards his Baba getting them to ‘kiss’ on the lips with a cheer. “Yay! Got you to kiss! Now Baba just needs to give Mama a ‘wedding night’!” Mk grinned his ears flicking. “After a big party naming Baba Shadow King and in love with Mama King!” Mk giggled.
Macaque paused as their mouths bumped together, his tail twitching behind him as he shifted back a bit, taking a moment to register the cub's words. He lowered his head, mentally cursing the wind as his cheeks turned red. "Bud, I think your Mama isn't quite in the best shape for a wedding night," he told the cub when he looked back up, rubbing the back of his neck. "The wind sure is sharing some interesting stories with you." He hoped it wouldn't share anything too graphic with the child.
Mk had a pout while Wukong mentally rebooted. “Party… The Demon Kings’ Gala!"
Macaque drew a breath. The wind did like his cub just a bit too much it seemed. "That's right. We had a huge party called that we called the Demon King's Gala. It was when Baba and Mama got married."
Wukong flinched. ‘Then that fallout with heaven… and his death…’ “I meant another Gala is coming up… the original did so well that the Demon Council of Elders decided to hold one every century. The next one coming up is in two weeks and I'm sure most of the demon council is already aware of the ‘Mate Hunt’ going on in the city. Any demon king must attend along with any announcements that shift the influence of powers.” Wukong rambled rubbing at his temples while stress was easily seen and written in his body language.
Macaque's mood instantly soured. "Oh right, them. Haven't thought about that in a while." This meant he'd have to take the risk of taking Wukong out of the palace. "I suppose if we don't go they'll be sending demons to find us as well." It was hardly a question. They'd not tolerate any disrespect. They'd hated Wukong back in the day, and he didn't have a much better reputation with the council. At least one of those things hadn't changed. "Looks like we gotta work on getting you healed up in time for the party, Peaches." He didn't like this at all. Wukong was almost certain to try to escape that party. But it would be a much bigger problem if the great sage wasn't able to walk for the big event when he would most certainly be taking center stage. "Do you think they'll be expecting us to bring Xiaotian as well?"
“Yes. He's listed as my heir in the enchanted records that keep track of all living demons and their actions… I... I have no idea if the book even acknowledged you as being alive. The book still records me as a Mateless King from last I checked."
"I doubt they've edited my entry. I've been keeping a fairly low profile all things considered." Sure, Ao Guang had seen him, but he didn't have much to do with demon society so he'd not have spread the news. And LBD had frozen most of the demons that could have spotted him during her takeover. "And I'm not that surprised you aren't recorded as mated. We haven't been mates in centuries." He spoke idly as he leaned against the pillows next to Wukong, propping his head onto his hand as he let his elbow dig into the bedding.
“You’d be able to catch up with your sworn sister, Iron Fan.” Wukong pointed out.
Macaque hummed. "I suppose," he concedes. He'd not have many opportunities to do so now that he had a mate and cub to look after. He paused, smirking slightly. "How do you think she and Bull King are going to react to Xiaotian?"
“I can already see the marriage contract between Mk and Red Son being made.” Wukong groaned at that. “Least I don't have to deal with pushy she demons and disgruntled demon males anymore…” Wukong sighed rubbing at his face again.
“Mama bullied?” Mk asked with a worried look on his face.“No starlight. Mama was being courted very badly by others.” Wukong asked if he could even call what the other demons kept trying to pull courting attempts.
Macaque’s tail whipped sharply behind him. "But that's nothing to worry about. They won't be bothering your Mama again Xiaotian. That's why Baba is here," he assured both his son and his mate. One of his hands reached out and slipped into Wukong's hand, giving it a particularly gentle squeeze, mindful of what he'd learned before. "You're right about the marriage contract though." He admitted, frowning slightly. He supposed that if it had to be with anyone, he trusted Iron Fan to raise a Red Son right so he'd treat Xiaotian well. "But that's not going to matter until well into the future. I'm not too worried." He smirked now, snickering. "Their faces are going to be priceless though," he muttered.
“You're going to send your sister into an early grave with your dramatics Moon.” Wukong deadpanned slipping into an old habit. ‘Now what am I going to do?’ Wukong thought while mentally shuttering at that fact Macaque was not above-using torture as punishment and breaking bones to make a point.
Macaque paused, before purring softly and nuzzling into Wukong's cheek. "Come on now Sun, these are happy surprises, I'm sure it'll be fine." He said, chuckling softly before placing a kiss on his cheek.
“Anything else happened while I was resting?” Wukong asked wanting to change the topic from anything else that would add more stress to his already tired mind. ‘Just got to grin and bear it until Mk and I can… get… away… what… was I thinking about…?’ Wukong thought his head feeling like it was filling with thick cotton as a pale purple sheen glimmered over his eyes with a dark glow coming from the collar around his neck.
Macaque hummed as he let himself rest near his mate, letting go of Wukong's warm hand to reach down and pet the cub's head. "Xiaotian asked for another shadow play. I told him about how you got your staff," he informed the other.
“…the Cubs friendly version right…?” Wukong asked while drawn to Macaque’s body heat nuzzling his face into the crook of Macaque’s neck being careful of his wounds.
Macaque purred as he wrapped an around his mate, leaning into him so he'd not have to shift his weight. "Yeah, the cub-friendly version. I'm not telling him anything too bad," he chuckles. "Those versions can wait until he's older."
Wukong gave a small snort. “At least wait until he’s fifty before sharing some of the more savage stories,” Wukong muttered as energy trailed from Wukong’s collar to Macaque’s wrist where a thick bracelet of a similar material to the collar resided but unlike the collar, the bracelet was able the be removed.
Macaque blinked at the bracelet. He wasn't sure when it had appeared. Was it a sign that things were going well? He supposed it had to be. He kept purring, running his other hand through Wukong's fur, feeling Wukong's energy pulsing from that bracelet. "Alright. You've got plenty of stories to choose from anyway. We can stick to the sillier ones for now," he assured, nuzzling into the side of Wukong's head, drawing in a shaky breath. His tail slid around his waist, searching for and wrapping around Wukong's as he tucked their child between them. "Any stories you'd want me to share next? I'll let you make requests."
“The day you came to Flower Fruit Mountain. You were searching for the Monkey King and instead, you met me first.” Wukong chuckled as he recalled the old memory.
He blinked, before smiling. "And you were just a normal monkey. After all, why would the great Monkey King be hanging out around the mountain alone, goofing off?"
“I was not.” Wukong pouted that fuzzy feeling in his head growing more as Mk looked between them.
“Mama a silly monkey? Baba a new monkey?” Mk asked curiously between them.
"That's right Xiaotian," Macaque said. "Back when your Mama and I first met, I had just found the island where your Mama was born, Flower Fruit Island. I was looking for the fearsome Monkey King, and this random monkey named Wukong somehow managed to sneak up on me, despite my six ears." He chuckled again, nosing lightly at Wukong's ear. "That silly monkey gave me a tour around the entire island, and played with me like we were just cubs ourselves."
“You sound like you had fun Baba.” Mk pointed out but listened to the story with rapid attention.
"It was fun," he admitted with a smile. "We spent the whole day together. I got a tour of the island, we did some fishing, we just talked, a lot. And then I got to watch the first of man beautiful sunsets with Wukong." Macaque trailed his hand that was carding through Wukong's head fur down to the top of his neck, gently scratching there. "Then I was invited to dinner, where I met the Monkey King. I was given the seat of honor, and the entire time the Monkey King never said a word or gave anything but the most serious expression. Suddenly, one of the generals of the great Monkey King accused me of scheming to hurt the king and said that I had been seen with a strange monkey. That strange monkey happened to be Wukong, who was missing from the table. But you see, I couldn't say that, because Wukong had made me promise to not tell anyone about our time together that day. And I wanted to keep my word to him." Macaque continued. "So I was trying to come up with an argument and failing."
Wukong chuckled softly. “It was a spur-of-the-moment test on both the generals and Macaque’s intentions. You see Starlight, I had acted all serious and commending like a typical King around the generals seeing if they were following me for my power instead of my loyalty. This was all long before the idea of waging war on heaven was even thought.” Wukong explained. “After the accusation was spoken I raised my hand and spoke for the first time during that meal. ‘Why do you dare raise a fuss? This newcomer has come to be my Shadow he found the True King before anyone else and earned my trust.’” Wukong stated saying word for word what he had done at that dinner.
Macaque chuckled. "You wouldn't believe how surprised I was. The silly monkey I'd played with all day, the fearsome king that even the Jade Emperor feared? It was so hard to believe. But from that day forward, I was always by the King's side, his warrior. His shadow, just like he said." He nuzzled against the side of Wukong's head again. "And then I became something more than just the king's warrior."
"Soul mates!” Mk squealed. “Gold Sun and Black Moon!"
Macaque looked down at his little cub, smiling softly. "That's right." He chuckled softly. "Though, soul mates are something you're born as. We just didn't realize we were a pair until later on." He started brushing his hand through that long fur on top of his son's head again. "We are the Sun and the Moon, the Hero and the Warrior. Two sides of the same coin, each other's counterbalance." Macaque paused, a little thought coming to his head. 'Life and Death. I died and he became a life god.' That couldn't be a coincidence. He kept the thought to himself, filing it away for further consideration later.
Mk reached up looking at the pretty bracelet on his Baba’s wrist with a golden sun embossed on the material. “Shi…hou…?” Mk read with a tilt of his head.
Mihou let his hand fall from his son's head so he could better examine the bracelet. "It's your Mama's first name, given to him before he became Sun Wukong. It means Stone Monkey," he explained. "This band around my wrist is a lot like the band around your Mama's neck, it tells other demons that we're bound together so they won't bother us like they used to bother your Mama."
Mk clapped his hands at that. “Mihou and Shihou! Moon and Sun! Mango and... And… uh… what fruit starts with an S?” Mk blushed as his train of thought cutely failed.
“Strawberry,” Wukong replied. “The bracelet lets Baba know if anything is wrong with Mama and if Mama is in trouble for breaking Baba’s rules or being bullied,” Wukong stated the collar glowing as it gave a childish explanation of its power through Wukong’s voice.
Mihou hummed, glancing at the bracelet. He then glanced at the dazed Wukong, a small frown pulling on his face for a moment before he placed a smile back on, leaning to whisper into his ear in an almost sultry. "But you'd not be plotting to cause trouble, now would you my precious Sun." He placed a kiss just under his ear.
Wukong shuttered, biting back a moan. He was not doing that in front of Mk nor was he going to do it while wounded. “No.” ‘curse my sensitive body!’
Macaque chuckled, nuzzling the spot he kissed before leaning back to kiss his forehead. He had no intention of doing anything to his mate in his current state, but this closeness was already enough to drive him up a wall. He couldn't resist at least teasing him a bit. "Personally, as cute as the naming scheme was, I'll always think of Wukong as a peach. He is exactly what he eats." He nosed his hairline, letting his mate's scent fill his nose. "He even smells like peaches, have you noticed that Xiaotian? Your Mama even smells sweet."
"Mama, really sweet! Baba smells like tart plums!” Mk happily added.
"So I've heard." He gently pokes the little one's nose. "Do you not like the smell as much because it's not as sweet as Mama's smell?"
"Mama’s comforting. Baba’s protecting.” Mk replied.
Mihou purred. "That's exactly right. Papa will take care of protecting you and Mama so Mama can focus on taking care of our sweet little Xiaotian." Mk giggled and squealed as he was picked up and tickled. Small orange-tinted shadows rose to push away the hands tickling Mk.
Mihou snickered, heart, swelling at seeing how many of his powers the little cub was already learning naturally. "My little cub is just so talented with his shadows~" he purred, letting his hand be pushed away as he pulled his child higher up between him and his mate, nuzzling the top of his head. "And you smell like your Mama and Me." Mk smiled looking to puff up a bit at the praise before scrunching up his nose and sneezing with a puff of smoke revealing a small tiger cub with twin tails between the two monkeys. “And there is my transformation ability…” Wukong sighed. Mihou raised an eyebrow.
"He's picking up on these powers fast, huh?" 'A lot faster than he did the first time around, and those were just Wukong's powers." He pauses, watching his... he guesses cub is still the right word here. "He is gonna be able to turn back on his own, right? No chance of him getting stuck for a while?"
"No drawbacks,” Wukong answered, tapping the cub on the forehead and making another poof as the Tiger Cub returned to their toddler of a monkey Cub. “Remember the old human saying ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’? That's going to apply very literally here with Mk since he still subconsciously knows about his powers but has the conscious mind of a Cub.” Wukong stated.
"That explains that." Mihou paused, frowning. "Do you think... do you think he's ever going to remember? As he gets older I mean," he murmured, brows furrowing in worry. He didn't want his cub to remember those other people, and he didn't want him to remember the things he'd done to his cub in the past, even if many of them hadn't been meant to harm MK.
“No. The regression erases any memories from before but leaves behind impressions of any powers the heir had learned so no progress is lost.” Wukong answered. “There is a chance of nightmares or headaches if he runs into anyone he knows without one of us nearby with a sense of vertigo but that's about it. The regression effectively erases any memory the moment the heir imprints on their ‘parents’ in their child state and begins the process of growing back up." Mihou lets out a small sigh.
"Good," he murmurs, smiling again. He didn't want his son to remember bad things anyway. This was for the best. "And it's nice to know he still remembers most of your powers... I think." He chuckles. "Doubt that's going to make things any easier though in a few years when he starts wanting to get more adventurous. It's impressive how fast he's picked up on so many of mine though."
"How many times did you battle him and let your magic make physical contact with him? The more contact he has with raw magic the more likely it would have made his core adapt and subconsciously observe your abilities. He was supposed to be a flawless copy of me after all.” Wukong pointed out holding Mk close as the Cub dozed in his arms smuggling into his chest fluff.
"Guess you've got a point," he admits, frowning again at the reminder. "If I'd had any idea I'd have been more careful." He wraps his arm more securely around his mate, nuzzling into his shoulder. "I can't believe how close I got to badly hurting such a young cub."
“You couldn't have known… no one was to know he was anything other than a special human…” Wukong replied.
"I know." Macaque sighs. "Doesn't make me regret it less. Now more than ever." He pulled back a bit, smiling at his Sun. "He is so much like you. I'm amazed I didn't figure it out myself." Wukong snorted.
“He acted far more like you when he did not want to train and kept calling out my ‘terrible’ methods."
"Ha." He grinned at the other. "The kid managing to learn so much from you is kind of a miracle. You're a genius when it comes to combat and your powers Wukong, but that doesn't mean you're that good at explaining those things you're so talented at." Wukong gave the dark monkey a pout with a light blush on his face.
“Why does everyone poke fun at my teaching ability…” Wukong huffed as he felt the bone in his leg fully heal along with his large wounds having been reduced to simple bruises. ‘Great… my healing is also under Macaque’s whim.’ Wukong thought.
"Because you're too easy to tease," he said with a grin as he went from nuzzling his shoulder to his neck, totally unaware of the fully healed leg. "And it's way too much fun." Wukong just hummed curling up his legs close to his body.
“Any more surprises in store for me when I go looking around the palace?” Wukong asked, feeling drowsy from all the affection and light grooming of his matted fur.
He paused, noting the way Wukong was able to curl into himself. He might need to take a few more precautions, just to be safe. "Just cleaned some stuff up, nothing special." He started purring again, soothing his mate further. "Is there anything you'd like to find, Peaches?"
"A brush… and something to help with the bald spots…” Wukong hummed.
"I'll see what I can find. And if you want, I can help with that matting tomorrow. I think I'll do a much better job than a brush." Wukong simply nodded as he dozed off his energy to stay awake having been greatly reduced with the rapid healing of his leg and wounds to a much better but still sore state.
He was quiet for a moment, fanning his ears to listen to his slowing heartbeat and breaths. "Guess he fell asleep after all," he murmurs, still running his hands through the other's fur. He glanced at his wrist, staring at the bracelet. Did he even influence how Wukong healed? He hadn't been recovering anywhere near that quickly beforehand. He wondered what other things about Wukong he could influence with this bracelet. Keeping that fun little thought in mind, Macaque lay with his beloved for a bit longer before carefully removing himself from his sleeping cub and mate. He had so much work still to do now that Wukong was healed and MK was gaining so many shadow powers so quickly. He'd start with a ward around the stone palace, something strong enough to keep his cub in should be strong enough to keep Wukong in, so he'd have an easy excuse there. Later on, he could see about finding a way to expand the rest of the cave. Slipping into the shadows, he disappeared. He needed to get this done in time to come back and get his cub before Wukong woke up after all. make sure his dear mate didn't get any bad ideas being left alone with their little one. And he needed time to look into anything that could regrow his dear mate's hair.

A little more info on my LMK insert:
Previous
Stella was mistaken for an ordinary axolotl by a pet store owner.
She was put up for sale but kept biting anyone that got too close.
Thus she was heavily discounted.
One day, MK really wanted a pet and Pigsy agreed to it as long as it was small and MK took care of it.
So MK grabs Mei and they set off for the pet store.
MK saw Stella and found her absolutely adorable.
(Note: he does not fall in love with her. Their relationship is strictly platonic.)
Despite the owner’s warnings, MK adopted her and brought her to his apartment.
That night, as MK was fast asleep, Stella hopped out of her tank and went into her human form.
She was about to climb out the window when MK screamed.
Turns out he had woken up to find his axolotl had turned into a human in a onesie!
After getting MK to calm down, Stella explained that she was a selkie just trying to find a safe place to go.
MK offers to take her to Flower Fruit Mountain, as it’s secluded and guarded by none other than The Monkey King.
Stella, being a huge Monkey King fan, eagerly agrees.
Upon arrival, MK and Stella find Wukong.
Wukong immediately notices Stella’s onesie and immediately begun gushing over how cute she looked.
Stella almost faints at the sight of her hero fawning over her.
If it wasn’t for Wukong catching her, Stella would’ve sworn she was dreaming.
MK explains the situation and Wukong was more than happy to let Stella stay.
Initially, Stella stayed in a pond near Wukong’s house.
Stella and Wukong started chatting and they hit it off right away.
Of course both parties kept some distance between them due to trust issues.
That is until one fateful day.
Stella’s onesie got caught on a tree branch and ripped a bit.
Stella had no choice but to remove it so she could patch up the hole.
(Note: Stella wears a one pice swimsuit, gloves, and boots underneath her onesie. She was not naked.)
After patching up her onesie, Stella was about to put it back on when
“Woah!”
There stood Wukong, jaw agape as he gazed upon her true form.
Never had he seen a more beautiful creature!
“ACK! I’M SO SORRY!”
The sound of Stella’s panicked cries woke Wukong from his trance.
He awkwardly cleared his throat
“Woah! Hey! You don’t have to be sorry for anything. I uh, kinda like the view.” His voice faded into a mutter.
The moment Stella realized what he meant, all the color drained from her face.
Whenever someone fell for her beauty, they would steal away her onesie to force her to stay with them.
While she liked Wukong, she did not want him to steal her onesie.
“Welp! I think I’ve overstayed my welcome! Thank you for letting me stay but I’ll get out of your fur now.” Stella rambled as she hastily crawled back into her onesie.
Wukong’s face fell.
“What! No! You don’t have to leave! Look, I’m sorry for looking at you without your onesie but I promise I’m not offended or anything!”
“St-still! I wouldn’t want to be a burden and-”
“Hey, you’re not a burden, alright? If anything, you’re my friend. And my friends are always welcome here.” Wukong reassured gently.
Stella’s eyes lit up
“Wait… I’m your friend?”
“Of course, bud! I’ve actually really enjoyed having you here..” Wukong admitted as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head.
“R-really? Well that case, I suppose I could stay,” Stella’s voice softened “Just promise me one thing, please, please don’t take my onesie.”
“What?! Why would I do that?! I mean yeah, it’s cute but it looks better on you” Wukong joked.
“Thank you but that’s not what I’m worried about. You see, when most people see me without my onesie, they take it so I can’t leave.” Stella explained as she looked down at her feet.
Wukong felt his stone heart sink a bit.
“Oh… Well don’t worry! I promise I won’t take it! Just as long as you promise not to leave.” Wukong teased with a wink.
Stella simply gave him a horrified expression.
“Relax! I was just kidding about that last part. You’re more than welcome to come abd go as you please.” Wukong’s voice faded chuckled as he held up his paws.
“Oh thank goodness!” Stella sighed as she pot a hand on her chest.
“Don’t worry, you’re safe here. I promise.”
And from that day forth, Stella and Wukong continued to grow closer and closer until they finally fell in love.
Next
Spoilers for season 5 under the cut!
Stella is also the reincarnation of Xiangliu’s wife (hence why he’s so obsessed with her)
However, Xiangliu’s wife, Xiaoying, was also courtnapped.
Xiaoying and Xiangliu were once close friends who often discussed philosophy together.
However Xiaoying was a princess and was arranged to be married to a nearby prince.
Believe it or not, Xiaoying actually didn’t mind as the prince was chill.
Basically she and the prince had an agreement:
He would let her be free to do as she wished as long as he got her riches.
Of course Xiangliu was absolutely outraged and took matters into his own hands (literally)
Needless to say, Xiaoying was miserable, being betrayed and captured by a once dear friend.
Xiaoying died when Xiangliu tried to take her with him to the chaos realm with him.
Xiangliu was absolutely devastated and missed her ever since.
So imagine his excitement when Stella crossed his path.
She looked and sounded exactly as he remembered her!
The only problem: Stella doesn’t remember him but her instincts tell her that he’s dangerous.
Xiangliu acted nice and invited Stella into his temple, only to hide her onesie and force her to be his bride.
Luckily Stella escaped by getting her onesie back, turning into her axolotl form, and swimming away.

Mk hcs
ok so sorry, anon, i couldn’t reply to this last night bc i saw this when the clock struck for epics livestream. so this is why i saved you for today <33333
chronic people pleaser (just watch 1x02) and his hero complex has NOT helped that
(Pigsy clocks that shut in real quick but thinks “well maybe his mentor the Monkey King— of whom i am not jealous of, Mei, that’s a ridiculous statement, i am a hardworking demon busy with my shop— will help MK with that.” and then turns out the Monley Ling goes on “vacation” and MK is spiraling too quickly for Pigsy to catch up and isn’t allowing Pigsy or any of his friends to breach in)
abandonment issues is he :3
all he’s known since he was young was that Pigsy found him. he knows that normal people have parents which must mean he has them—had them? no. MK never likes thinking about too hard— but as far as he’s known, no one has searched for him, no old missing posters of him……was he truly so burdensome to be thrown away?
MK takes a lot of things spoke to him at face values
swk’s “the problem is you, kid” in 1x01 when he was trying to teach MK that belief is his strongest adversary in accessing his powers and controlling them, for example
(what the FUCK is up with that btw. lmk what is your magic system???? i know it’s one of those things that SWK says a lot to MK and it must be true but like, if I’m being honest, SWK has been using magic way too long so the point that it’s like breathing for him. it’s like SWK is saying “to breathe you just…breathe!” and when MK asks “how do i physically breathe?” SWK goes “well, you breathe in….then out!” like oh yeah, that solves it!
anyway, another example is Pigsy’s constant shouting. none of his words are meant to be taken literally bc it’s all empty threats and emotional constipation (like look at Tang smiling all goofy while Pigsy blows a fuse. this guys knows Pigsy’s full of shit exploits that like the husband he is)
so yeah. MK cannot take things with a grain of salt
BUT HE IS LEARNING
slowly
BUT LEARNING
and this is Macky’s fault for being explicitly full of shit after revealing his betrayal to MK in 1x09 and then proving it again in 2x07
like in the s3 special? MK has learned now and calls Macky out on it and then again in 4x10 :D so, he’s slowly getting there
MK totally believed Pigsy and Tang were married for at least a decade
mei about freenoodles when her and MK just became friends: “are they always like that?”
MK: “yep! just don’t ask them about it. they get weird about it and too self aware”
being the son of a chef and foodie, MK does have a non-picky palette but with standards
he is horribly biased tho but for good reason
baby MK LOVED climbing everything and everyone and made constant nests on Pigsy’s head (Tang has an album of photos specifically for this)
anything else i say might tread on lmk s5 spoilers so I’ll stop now

Chapter 7 - Ascent
"You chose to climb up the mountain without climbing gear? Seems pretty impractical," The Rose Bride questioned, prompting a brow raise from the Monkie Kid.
"Well, I barely have enough money for rent, so this is what I went with," MK's voice strained as he hoisted himself up another steep ledge. "Plus, I think I can fly if I really need to, but lately, that gets me really tired out, so let's save that for if i, like, fall or something."
The Rose Bride scoffs, without any intent to be rude. "You remind me of a friend of mine. You barely have any resources, and you're still trying to rescue someone you've never met."
MK lay flat on his higher ground, nodding. "Well, I've kind of saved the- uh, I've saved my world a few times. So, this isn't the craziest thing I've done! And, you don't really have anything either, BRB."
The Rose Bride stood thought about it for a moment, still on lower ground, and nodded.
"I guess you're right. But, uh, let's just say I'm used to doing stupid stuff, too." She climbs up as well, finding larger areas to place her feet on.
"My fiance owns part of this place, anyway, so i know my way around."
"And, just call me Rosie."
As the two rose up the mountain, they found a pretty spacious area to rest- a place with a nice view and a bench, to which the Rose Bride sits and MK aggressively flops onto.
"Man, I'm pooped," the Monkie kid exclaims, earning a laugh from Rosie. "This is why we bring snacks on long hikes, monkey boy."
MK finishes gathering sticks for a fire, and as the fire burns, the two sit closer to it, holding out their hands for warmth to counteract the growing cold.
"So, what realm are you from?" MK questioned, eagerly awaiting an answer from the veiled woman.
"I don't think my realm had a name, but I'm from Knighton. It's a nice lil' kingdom, a good spot for vacations. What about you?"
MK thought as well. "I don't think mine had a name either, now that I think about it."
"Hey, Rosie, can I ask you another question?" MK said, accompanying a yawn, to which she responded, "Okay, what's up?"
"Why do you always wear that veil? I mean, technically, you're not a bride yet, so..."
"I feel better with on," She said, simply, with a more serious tone from before. "And, people like me better with it on. So, I'll keep it on."
MK decided not to press further.

Shadows Under the Peach Tree
Chapter 4:
Your confirmation of the key being bad news came quicker then you thought, when Red Son and his dad's goons breaking into MK's apartment and taking it from them. And that had only happened a few hours after the kid got it. Like someone went to the Demon Bull Family and told them the Monkie Kid had a powerful enchanted key - or at least after the two rambunctious young adults MK and Mei ran around locking things and unlocking them like some kind of movie montage of a prankster's wet dream, you could only assume it was enchanted or some kind of mystic monkey business. MK came to your house that next morning to tell you the whole story, and in near tears about how he couldn't even go look for it with him going to Flower Fruit Mountain for training. Then he suddenly went to his cheeky self as he started ranting and raving about getting some 'one on one' training with THE Monkey King.
He is the living embodiment of emotional whiplash sometimes.
That or he just gets over things real easy.
" Oh! Before I forget the real reason I came! " He reached into the peach tree nearby and rustled a few to fall and picked them up super quick. " Monkey King said he would only let me have this special training if I brought some of your peaches!" He grinned.
Like that had been a sane request.
" Wait... Are you sure that wasn't a joke MK?" You slide an eyebrow.
" Mmmmm maybe? It's hard to tell with him. So just in case! " He had his jacket now stuffed to the brim with peaches.
" Well... Alright? I guess I'll keep an eye on your girlfriend and your Pig-dad for you while your gone. " You teased with a grin.
He gave me such a serious look. " Mei isn't my girlfriend. She's just my best friend," Then he smiled brightly. " Now! I gotta go or I'm going to be climbing a mountain at night and that sounds ... Super scary." he laughed.
He turned and started down the dirt road, his delivery vehicle parked down the way . You wave to him and sigh as you lean against a trunk of a tree. " That boy... "
A cool breeze blew past you and you put your hand up to protect your face from the whipping strands of your hair as you turn your eyes to the shining Megapoilis. You look back and MK is gone, the sound of his motor a distant noise among the leaves. You head back inside for most of the day, it seemed like a now rare kind of day. A peaceful one.
You had made yourself some jasmine and peach tea, by the time you were curled up on a pillow near your open back door - that stared out at the mountains and your oldest peach tree -storm clouds had gathered near the peaks of the far mountain range. You frown gently, it was far off but it seemed. Nasty. But the purple-blue lightning that rippled the surface of the almost pitch black clouds made you stare a long time till your tea nearly became cold before you took a drink. You look down at your cup then back at the clouds that have now stretched across the horizon and made the mountains nearly invisible. Only when the lightning illuminated the sky beyond did the outline of the mountains break through the black.
It was dark.
It was beautiful.
It was forbodeing.
You set your cup aside.
How long have you been staring at the chaotic mess of clouds that crawled the sky, heavy and low hanging with a drenching cold rain you could smell as the breeze passed you. You always did love the view from your family home, sure it was a little far from the city but it had a view of most of the city and the forests beyond and on the other side was just forest and mountains as far as you could see. So when a storm rolled in you could see it for miles before it reached the city.
You get up from your pillow and look out as far as you could from your back porch. You could see the now mostly purple lighting stricking the ground outside the city, the black clouds illuminated with multiple strikes. The clouds almost looked like a giant being in the sky. You had expected the illusion to fade with the lighting, but then it didn't. It looked like a massive purple being with one glowing purple eye in the mass of storm clouds.
It looked over the city, darkening every bit of that side of Megapoilis, then... All of it.
You step out bare foot onto the dirt of of your 'back yard' and you drift to the edge of the cliff, eyes transfixed and hand on your pendent. What was that thing? And... Of course MK and Wukong had to be out of town, MK probably almost to Flower Fruit Mountain by now. And that kid didn't know the meaning of looking back. The black clouds started to swirl, the light around your home getting snuffed out like a candle. The peach trees creaked in the wind.
You rush back inside, sliding your boots on. Hopping on one foot to slip on the last one as you exit out your front door and down the dirt road. You had to get a closer look, you needed to see this thing. Why? Something inside you screamed when you saw it. Like a ghost was before you. Your eyes looked up at the smoke-y dark being with glowing purple eyes.
You slid to a stop in front of Pigsy's Noodles, Mei, Pigsy and Sandy were all in front of the shop, looking up at the being with scared and wide eyes. Sandy spotted you first, giving you a big smile and a not to soft pat on the back. Moe meowed from his shoulder and gave what only could be described as a grin as he stood proudly on the broad blue shoulders of his companion.
" Y/N! Good to see you! Well maybe not the best circumstances, but still good to see you none the less! " He gave a hearty laugh and then his eyes crinkled with his smile.
You give a small smile back. " Oh yeah um well I had kinda told MK I would check up on everyone if something happened? Kinda. I told him I would keep an eye on you guys. " You make a laugh.
Then your eyes go back to the looming being. You glance back to the three around you, oh shit... Who let Pigsy have a ping-pong paddle? Nevermind not important. You look inside the open window of the noodle shop and saw Tang just sitting there. Enjoying his noodles. Like there wasn't a giant demon about to crush the city.
Well you can always rely on that you suppose. You look back just in time to see Sandy try to launch himself fist first at the being. Oh. Oh shit. You move away just in time as Sandy came promptly crashing back after the demon grabbed him with what looks like a scarf and slung him back down into the pavement.
" Ow.... Shit... Sandy you alright?" You asked as you knelt down to check on him.
Mei quickly pulled out her phone. " I'm calling MK! He can whoop this demon's ass. " She hit the green button.
You could hear Mei trying to frantically explain to MK what was going on just as the demon reached up and destroyed a halfway built skyscraper. Shit. Hope no one was in there. You get back onto your feet as Pigsy tried to attempt the same dumbass strategy as Sandy, with very similar results. Mei comes over and grabs your shoulder.
" MK is on his way back, he was already halfway our the cave when he saw that thing." Mei told me, but she didn't seem to worried.
" Hopefully he hauls ass here, " you tell her and you look up as the demon started walking closer towards the streets the noodle shop were near. The whole ground shook under your feet, making you wobble in your sandals.
Thirty minutes of watching over a knocked out Sandy and Pigsy, dragging them out of the craters and the middle of the street. You wrap up one of the bleeding cuts on Pigsy as you saw the noodle shop vehicle skid to a stop in front of the craters. MK hopped out and pulled out the staff, twirling it in a fluid fashion.
" Alright! Sorry it took so long, but here comes Monkie Kid!" He hit the bottom of the staff on the ground and started to launch himself in the air.
"Wait!" You shout out as he tries the same strategy that everyone seems to have as their plan 'A'.
"MK we already- " Mei tried to call outas well to stop him but got cut off by the cloud of dust he left behind in his launch.
You pull Mei back out of the street just as MK came crashing to the pavement. He groaned in pain as he slowly pulled himself out of the crater that his body had made in the pavement. You sigh gently and look over him as Mei told him that they all tried that already.
Everyone's eyes shoot up as a shadow bounced from roof top to rooftop. MK scrambled back to his feet. " Monkey King! He must have come to help. " He used his staff to fly off. You tilt your head some as you watch the silhouette of a monkey man launch himself at the demon and it shattered around with the clouds, curling into a small purple cloud that zoomed off and out of sight.
You feel the afternoon sun on your face as the demon disappeared, but you had such a strong feeling in your gut. That attack didn't seem like a Wukong-esqe to you. He would have done a big golden blast or used his hair-clones and made a big show of it. This seemed so precise and no flashy hero show.
Mei put her hands behind her head. " Well looks like they have it handled. I better head back to my apartment and make sure it didn't get smashed" she laughed though like she didn't care if it had.
Oh to be young and the daughter of the Dragon Clan. No real money worries.
" Yeah... Yeah.. " You said absently as you looked back towards Pigsy and Sandy who were up and about now that they had a bit of rest. " Well I guess I'll go home to. I hate walking the road at night by myself. "
You look back to where the demon had been looking over the city. The strange feeling in your gut hadn't left since you saw the thing. Why? You still couldn't figure it out. As you walk down the street your thoughts drift to the strange occurrences and dreams you've having since you saw Wukong in your orchard. What is going on?
Your hand rubs worriedly against the jade stone pendant hanging around your neck. You blink as you stop in your tracks, your mind had been replaying the small bits and pieces of the dreams you were having when you realize you had already left the city behind and you were in the forest now. The sun was almost all the way past the horizon, moonlight becoming your only source of light.
And of course it was a waxing crescent moon. The world went from hues of red, yellow and gold to purples, blues and blacks as you pause in your walk. You glance ahead on the path, shadows stretched across the road like lines across a page. You felt like something was staring at you from the shadows. Your eyes dart around and try to relax as a owl flies from one of the branches. You slowly start back up your walk, your feet carrying you up the path you've walked a hundred times to your home.
You pause at the first peach tree signalling how close you were to home. You look back behind you, you swore you saw the glint of eyes in the swaying shadows of the trees. You decide it was nothing and turn around just to knock straight into something hard and solid.
You crash back on your ass and you rub your stinging nose. You were sure there hadn't been a tree right there. You look up, in the dark you see a silhouette of a monkey man, the tell-tail wavering slowly in the very low light and his gold eyes stare down at you with a sharpness in like Wukong.
" So I was right when I saw ya. Wow, didn't think you would still be hanging around here. " The voice was definitely not Wukong, the voice to low and more baritone to it then the chipper tones of the Monkey King you've come to know.
"You're not Wukong...." Is all you manage out as you stare up at the monkey man as a cloud moves from the only light source in a ten mile radius. His black hair shined in the silvery light, red face-paint made his face look sharp and his gold eyes glinted in the light. Your whole body felt like it seazed up like a doe in headlights, why did it feel impossible to be seeing him?
Like you were looking at someone you thought was dead.
He tilted his head. " Yeah that's obvious, Maiden Y\N. " He made a snort of a laugh. " Ohh sorry I forget, you lost your eyes of truth when you got in trouble with dear old dad right. Can't see very well in the dark anymore. So when was the last time we saw each other? Right before Wukong and I had that huge fight."
What the hell was this guy going on about?
"Huh? " Nice very intelligent.
He disappeared through a shadow underneath him then you feel a hot breath against your ear. " What Macaque got your tongue? You're acting like you don't remember me but you remember Wukong? Makes me sad- " he paused as your face turned to the side to look at him speaking over your shoulder, moonlight casting over your face. " No... You wouldn't remember would you. "
He moved away and his face was cast in shadows so you couldn't tell what his facal expression was. " Um I think your getting me mixed up with someone else. "
Didn't he call me Maiden like Wukong had? And he definitely said my name. Something.... Wierd is going on.
" Eh I guess I was. Sorry you look just like an old friend of mine. But hey, you mistook me for someone else too so I think we're even, yeah? " You see the outline of his shoulder shrug, but he stepped forward back into the moonlight before he spoke again. " I'm Macaque. Well Six-Earred Macaque is my full name bur that doesn't roll off the tongue like just Macaque. " He had a grin on his lips, his golden eyes looking at you with the same glint you would see in Wukong's eyes every once in a while.
" Oh, um I'm Y/N L/N. But... Well I guess you already knew my first name. Disarming. Worrisome but... It's nice to meet you I guess...." You look at your orchard for a moment. " Do my peaches just attract monkey spirits or something? " You don't even mean to say that out loud.
A laugh sounded through the mostly quiet night air. " Oh well, you know. Something me and my old buddy Wukong had in common was our love of stone fruit. " He said the word buddy like it was poison to be spat out but his tone returned to normal afterwards.
" Just as long as I don't find you out in the orchard eating half my fruit.... " You made a nervous laugh, the way he was looking at you was making your stomach do flips.
You take notice of a wink as his grin widened, his teeth flashing in the low light. " No promises. "
You saw him slip through the shadow again and you look all around you. He didn't appear behind you like last time. In fact. The whole forest was quiet and still now, and the moonlight even seemed a bit brighter. You sigh gently and shake your head, walking towards your house. What and who was that guy? Macaque he had called himself.
You pause at your front door and glance back out at the darkness behind you.

Can I have part 2 Y/N pregnant?
Reminder this is the genderbend version😯
Tumblr media
(Lmk Wukong) This was a very eventful pregnancy. It seems like her antics Amplify Since the Two of you found out about your cub. First of all, there is a wire. Her belly was so big was because there's not one not two But three of them in there. And it seems like They are already active just like their mama. And not only that they make the monkey queen wanna eat everything. Her food your food mk's food You name it I mean you can't really Blame her because she's literally eating for other people but it's still quite Out of control. Happiest day of your life was when the triplets Your are two sons and daughter were finally born and they We're noisy cherpee and they get Into everything. Overall, they were healthy, very little beans. Who you love very much and you secretly glad for the monkey. Queen's flirty clingy ass and you love her as well.
Tumblr media
(NR Wukong) Holy sh*t if you think she was clingy before you ain't seen nothing yet. Since the beginning Of her pregnancy, she demanded With you at all times whether it be. to the corner store to the men's bathroom which got you kicked out of the mall once. She's was on you like white on rice. And if you try to go somewhere without her. She'll throw a big ass tantrum and i'm gonna shoot look like Are jerk especially when it happens in public. So you kept her inside with you for the remainder of the pregnancy. I say and that's when her water broke. When the cub was born, it was a cute little girl, but she chirped a lot. Neither of you would understand why. Wukong Has tried multiple methods But she just won't let up that's when you decided to give It'll try and the little girl was suddenly silent. You guys's daughter stop chirping and crying immediately the second she was in your arms. Now that explains why the monkey Queen had craved you so much. Because now you have to deal with another clingy girl in your life. At least this one is cute.
Tumblr media
(HIB Wukong) The pregnancy was fairly okay to be honest. It's just that she threw up a lot. And I mean a lot there was barely anything. She would be able to keep down. It seems like the Cub was already a picky eater. It seems to only accept pomegranates, peaches and Sesame balls you Yourself would eat. Interesting enough the cub came out a week early a cute little boy. He was fairly small but it seemed like it didn't stop them from trying to do big kid things. You both have to keep an eye on him a lot. But he was the greatest gift you've both received and you hope maybe you can convince her to give another one.
Tumblr media
(Mk Reborn Wukong) This woman is a pain in your ass. Hers mood swings were out of control, and that is really saying something. She always blames you for her condition. But she clings on to your arm. So hard blood is getting caught off from there. And where's the vault? Yeah, I'm worst of all. She won't eat food unless it's yours it's like she's making you mad on purpose. But it seems like this is making her a little more emotional because she vents and cries to you about all of the issues. In her life and her insecurities about her relationship with you. With shocks you to the max but you know better than to say anything. Finally, it was time for the cup to be born, and that was like the worst 12 hours of your life. She was screaming at you for doing this to her. But she's the one who wanted to fight you. She's the one who wants to know what position you fire in. And she wouldn't give up stop by one broken hand later. You, too, had a little girl. She was just as feisty and war driven as her mama. And it seems like she got some of her possessive traits, too. One time, your daughter climbed on to your shoulder and hissed at her mother for sitting way too close to you. And of course, her mom took that as a challenge and hissed the right back. Great, now you have two hissing girls back to square one for you. But deep down, you wouldn't have it any other way
Tumblr media
(Netflix Wukong) You guys are so freaking excited about your future family. You always make sure She was happy comfortable and safe. You mostly took up her job as protecting the villages from stray demons and you make quick work of them. So you can get back to your monkey queen especially when she's hungry. This pregnancy helps her open up to a lot more because she voices her worries about being a capable mama. But you always dispel those dark thoughts by telling her know that she would be amazing and she's got you to help her too. This always Makes her feel better and it was about time too. The club was ready to both were granted too little boys. They were rowdy loud and all over the place. But you both love them very much. But it's up to you to keep the queen from spoiling her two princes

Im sobbing and jsut imagining MK and the Noodle Gang doing a visit to FFM during Slow Boiled (either not the version where DBK dragged Wukong to live st the palace or a version where Wukong managed to convince them to let him live in the conforts of his own home) and see him working on building a shrine. First, they immediately stop him because "Wtf you're pregnant! Put the hammer down!" before asking what the shrine was for.
"Ah, it's a bit... personal. I'd been meaning to rebuild this old thing for a while after it got destroyed in... the Burning..." Wukong's face faltered a moment here at the memories, "but hadn't been able to bring myself to do it. I figured I'd finally get around yo it."
It doesn't take long to realize this shrine was to honor an ancestor of some sort, although with Wukong being well known for not having parents (as far as they knew) they were confused and asked who the shrine was for. Wukong had a sad, almost nostalgic smile as he calmly, yet somehow enthusiastically, explained.
"He was the Elder of the troupe that led us when I was a cub, before I became the Monkey King. He-"
"Wait! You weren't always the Monkey King!?"
"*sigh* Yes, kid. Once upon a time, I was a cub just like anyone else. Anyways! He was a storyteller at heart and ancient, like, old enough to remember the Great Floods ancient! See, the thing about him is that he was like me, a stone monkey. So when I hatched, he took me in and raised me, taught me about our people. As much as he could, anyway. His memory was going, and he wasn't long for the world even when I was still a cub."
"THERE WERE MORE-"
"Yes, scholar... I was not the only Stone Monkey."
DBK can't keep his little bro locked up at the Bull palace for long. Red would sneak Wukong out if he asks nicely. PIF and DBK just sigh, they can't cage a free spirit.
Wukong getting the drive to fix things up around FFM, only for the Noodle Gang to stop him from doing heavy construction. You know Pigsy makes a choked squeal the first time he sees Wukong trying to climb a ladder unassisted.
When Wukong finally explains what he was trying to fix, the gang's hearts just drop. Is it well known that The Monkey King did in fact lose people in the War - to think that he lost the closest thing to a parent even before that surprises them.
Tang ofc is nosey and must known More.
Wukong: "He was called Elder Shítougùshì. He was the only other Stone Monkey I had ever met." Tang: "Another stone monkey!?" Wukong: "Yes. He stayed behind on the island after the Great Flood even as the other survivors left for higher ground. He wanted to make sure no one forgot the original troupe." MK: "Then... you were born into a whole troupe of monkeys like you..." Wukong: "Not exactly. I still popped out of a stone egg - the "Boulder" that held me... it was my mother." The Noodle Shop Gang, thinking hard about the King's current Egg issue: "OH." Wukong: "Yeah... Elder and my Stalwarts had been the ones to find me when I finally hatched. He tried his best to raise me with help from the monkey demon troupe, but he still passed on sometime after we rediscovered the Stone Palace. Then I set out to find my first immortality." Tang, jttw-brain firing: "HE! He was the old monkey that passed away and set you on the path to find Master Subodhi!" Wukong, smiling sadly: "Yes. Yes he was." Sandy: "He sounds like a fine man- monkey Mr King. Hope he's happy to see where you are now." Wukong, tracing the old shrine with his fingers: "So do I big guy."
After the convo takes place, the Noodle Shop gang conspire to fix up some of the shrines and statues around the island. They get DBK involved since he remembers what the island was like pre-Burning. The Bull King would also jump to help honor the man that raised his little brother into the King he became!
Wukong comes home one day and finds that the shrine to Elder Shítougùshì has been reparied - not exactly how it was before the Burning, but finally clean and completed. A little ceramic monkey figure sitting on the altar.
Wukong cries like a cub when he realises MK and his friends fixed it.

are there parts of being a monkey that mk likes? favorite foods? favorite food from pigsy's shop? how does mk dress in spirale? dyou have any headcanons you really wanna write about? share one? :3c
Being a monkey, by itself, is fine! The part he has hang-ups over is his origins, and the whole "Harbinger of Chaos" thing. That's ominous and scary and confusing. He'd rather not think about all those implications! He actually doesn't feel that different than when in human form, since being a monkey is natural for him! Suddenly all of those weird things he does, climbing everywhere and on everyone for example, makes a lot more sense... Having a prehensile tail is probably his favorite part, though. Plus, now he's as cute and cheeky as his mentor!
Favorite food... that's a toughie! Probably Pigsy's re gan mian (hot dry noodles); re gan mian is quick and easy to fix and it's a yummy amount of spice! Makes for a great breakfast or late night snack. Since it's so quick and easy to make and relatively light on the stomach, a more mild version of the spicy dish is what Pigsy whipped up when a newly hatched Xiaotian waltzed into his shop one rainy evening! So, there's some sentimental value to the dish too.
MK dresses pretty much the same as he would at Megapolis. Durable jackets, comfy hoodies, and pants that allow for plenty of movement, and mixing it up with a tangzhuang or shuhe hanfu during training. The palette of his wardrobe is pretty consistent; yellows and reds with teal accents. Sometimes he'll steal clothes from his friends though.
I've been rolling the idea of MK's "monkey-ness" and powers possibly making brief, sporadic appearances while he was growing up; things that easily got brushed aside because they were always 'blink and you'll miss it' things, and it's not like Pigsy and Tang would have any idea what was going on, or what to do about it. Possibly even just brushing things off as "okay, weird probably half-demon or human-looking demon nonsense, we live in a city where magic and advanced technology is kinda everywhere, no big deal." And MK, being MK, would also brush off anything weird and forget it ever happened. This is a headcanon I've seen floating around and I enjoy it tbh, so! sdafds
