10 YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY

In 2011, Ryuji made his entertainment industry debut in "Kamen Rider Fourze" at the age of 16.

This year, he will be celebrating his 10th year anniversary in the industry!

6 YEARS OF BEING IN THE "LIVE SPECTACLE NARUTO" AND THE "MUSICAL TOUKEN RANBU"

Ryuji has been an active member of two of the longest running 2.5D franchises since the very first day. Both productions began in 2015.

He has played Uchiha Sasuke in the "Live Spectacle NARUTO" for 216 performances in Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore and China.

5th Anniversary ~Kotobuki Ranbu Ongyoku Sai~

As Kashuu Kiyomitsu, he has participated in major music shows on TV, like Kouhaku Uta Gassen (which is the biggest annual music show in Japan), FNS Kayousai, Music Station and CDTV as well as in other music shows, like SONGS OF TOKYO, Shibuya Note and Music Japan. 

He has also released two Kashuu Kiyomitsu solo singles ("Mitsumete Kureru Nara" and "Promise You") as well as multiple albums with Team Sanjou with Kashuu Kiyomitsu and Team Shinsengumi with Hachisuka Kotetsu.

4 YEARS SINCE HIS FIRST LEADING ROLE IN A MOVIE AND A TV DRAMA

In 2017, Ryuji made his official movie debut and got his first starring role in a movie as Shinji in "Please Please Please. It would also be the first time that he wrote lyrics for a song, which was "please", the theme song for the movie.

Since then, he has done 6 movies (excluding movies where he made guest appearances). His most recent lead role in a movie was "Double Drive ~Ryuu no Kizuna" where he played the character of Igarashi Junya.

Also in 2017, Ryuji made his TV drama debut and landed his first starring role in a TV drama as Shimizu Toshi in "FIVE". As a member of MENS5withT.M, he sang the theme song "Gakuen Tengoku", which was released as an album that included a solo Shimizu Toshi version of the song.

Since then, he has done 10 TV dramas (including guest appearances), and has starred in TV dramas, like "Ochanomizu Rock" and "Nippori Charlies" where he playd the lead characters Katayama Hajime and Sada Hotaru respectively.

As Katayama Hajime, vocalist of the band DYDARABOTCH, Ryuji has also released an album.

4 YEARS SINCE THE BROW BEAT WAS ANNOUNCED

Although Ryuji made his debut in the entertainment industry as an actor, he has always had a serious interest in music. In 2017, it was announced that he would be making his music debut with his solo band project The Brow Beat.

Since then, The Brow Beat has done 3 tours and 2 performances at Yaon. Also, instead of having birthday events, Ryuji has been having birthday lives with his band.

They have released 4 singles, 3 albums and 3 tour DVDs (the Yaon performances were released as bonus DVDs together with their albums). As part of The Brow Beat, Ryuji has also written the lyrics for 17 songs and composed 2 songs.

They have also recently announced an upcoming tour in 2021.

1 YEAR OF ONLINE READING PLAYS, INCLUDING HIS 1ST BL

Although he is mostly based in 2.5D, Ryuji has done numerous non-2.5D stages, including the "Present◆5" stages, "Ochanomizu Rock -THE LIVE STAGE-" and the "Rock Opera 'R&J'" which he starred in as the lead characters Yamato Kyousuke (YAMATO), Katayama Hajime and Romeo respectively.

In 2020, like the other actors and artists in the Japanese industry, Ryuji too was impacted by COVID-19 when stages were cancelled due to safety procedures. However, as they struggled to survive amidst such challenges, Ryuji soon became involved in a new form of stage: online reading plays.

"Furimukuna, Ushiro ni wa Mirai wa Nai", "'Asasute!' Special Reading Theatre 'A Study in Scarlet'" (where he played Sherlock Holmes) and "Dream Stage -Dokusogeki-" (where he did a reading of Akutagawa Ryunosuke's "Yabu no Naka") were some of the reading plays that he did during this time. He also participated in the "Online ♥ Reading 'Lily & Rose' Vol. 01" reading play, which would be the first time he had ever done a BL (boys' love) production.
